"You have to care about that sort of thing, Jaez, if you want to do something about it. I, unfortunately, don't." Farin sighed. "If I were to have a successor, or to name one, they would eventually get greedy enough to want to kill me. Without one, the money goes straight to the planet, so it would be in no one's best interest to attack me."

Titania sighed an exasperated sigh, "I am being nice! He's just being a wimp." She rolled her eyes and turned toward the bridge. "I'll go make sure Pucky can find it without help. Doubtful." She pulled out her own planner as she walked and stopped right before making it out of the room. "s**t. We're almost to our first restricted sector. If you could finish up your business here, that'd be great. I have some piloting to do."

Puck entered stuffing his hand into his jacket along with some parchment that was likely what he needed, as he seemed calm. "We can go if you need us to, Titania. But you are aware how long of a trip this is, right?"

Titania narrowed her eyes and looked at her brother suspiciously. "What do you know?"

Puck shrugged. "Don't worry about it. You should be used to me having a hand in everything." He pulled down at his jacket, straightening it. "Just take care on your trip. Don't get into too much trouble."

The Baroness stood their thinking about what Farin had just said, a answer popped up in her head. "Then if you are worried about your own child wanting to kill you, get the girl pregnant." She said nodding her head to Cella. "The child she would have would be a slave, you can raise it as such and until the day your own health begins to decline." Turning to her husband the Baroness walked over to his side. "That would probably be your best bet Farin."

Rockwell walked over to his sister, he didn't like how the Baroness was talking about her, nor did he want to imagine her being in bed with Farin. "Sarah. Please this is probably going to be the only other time I will ask you. Come with me?"

Cella looked up and shook her head. "I'm sorry Rockwell. I wouldn't be happy." Wrapping her arms around him Cella hugged her brother. "I love you, be safe."

"Sarah. Please." He wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug as he glared after Farin. "I've only just found you again."

"No. I'm sorry." Pulling away Cella stepped back from her brother and out of reach.

Chephnem rolled her eyes. She didn't want to see this. "I'm gonna go, since this is all done and over with." Walking down the hall she headed for the control room.

The Baroness grabbed her husband's hand. "Yes I think we should get out of here as well. Titania. Try not to give that poor boy a heart attack." She said with a small smile.

Farin rolled his eyes, "Thank you, Jaez. But I think I've earned the right to make my own decisions at my age."

"Don't use 'at my age' in your speaking, Farin, it makes me seem old." The Baron sighed, "Well, if that's all, we should be going. Have a safe trip. Oh and Titania, do be careful out there. You know that the Universe is a big place, and big brothers can't always be there to take care of you."

"I'll be fine. Why don't you go back to your ship and take care of your children. Although, they might be better with a different father."

"Cute." Puck raised a brow for a moment before her turned to take his leave. "Come along, darling, the sitters can't handle those monsters for long."

Titania waved them off she turned to her second brother. "Aren't you leaving too?"

Farin shrugged, "I think I'd better stay. It's good for me to get out. I can work from anywhere, and you need someone to keep you out of too much trouble. "Cella, would you like to stay as well?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 23, 2012 2:35 pm

The Baroness chuckled. "I believe you're right. The sitters will likely be ready to pull their hair out when we get back." With that said she followed him back to their own ship to depart.

Cella frowned trying to think what would be best. But Farin was right. It was good for him to get out some, let alone herself. "Yes Master Farin."

"Good." Rockwell said taking up his sister's arms. "Since we don't have many rooms you can bunk down with me." He'd do anything to keep her from the monster's bed for even just a night.

"No." Cella said bluntly. Like every night, she intended to sleep in bed with Farin, it had been years since she had shared a bad with her brother, only when she was a kid. And well she wasn't a kid any more.

"Sarah, I'm just trying-"

"That's not my name." Cella snapped jerking her arm free. "My name is Cella. Not Sarah. Please stop using that name."

"No Sarah was the name-" He was stopped once again by Cella.

"Sarah was the name given to every female slave at my old master's house, so he wouldn't have to bother to learn their names." Cella said not sounding at all too happy. "I finally have my own name, one I like. Please respect that it's my name and call me by it when referring to me. If you can't I won't bother responding to you."

About two months had passed on the ship and the crew had spent the majority of the time adjusting to one another. It was an average night on the ship and the crew was about their usual business. Michaels was in the engine room, tinkering with the gadgets and computers when the captain entered. He wouldn't have noticed the captain entering if it weren't for the loud clicking of her boots. He rolled out from under one of the boards and perked up, assuming he was needed for something. "What's up?" He wiped a bit of the blue gel from his hands onto his jumpsuit. It was used in place of oil and grease, but it made just as big a mess.

Titania smiled and knelt beside him and pulled out a small cloth. "Hold still." She proceeded to wipe some of the mess off of the top of his nose. She then folded over the mess for a clean spot to lick and scrub a small spot off of his cheek. "What would you do without me?"

The boy attempted to avoid a blush with a small, "Heh... thanks." He continued to wipe his hands onto his suit as he stood with her. "Everything's good in here, so, is there like, a problem on the bridge?"

Titania shook her head, "No. Just checking on you, you've been in here all day after all. Aren't you hungry?"

Michaels made a face before he laughed a small, sheepish laugh, "Now that I think about it, I kind of am."

"Well, keep up the good work, I'll bring you something that hopefully doesn't suck, okay?"

"You sure? I can get it myself!"

But Titania was already turning and walking away.

When the doors closed automatically behind her, the boy stood there awkwardly for a moment before he quickly ran to find Chephnem in her usual hiding place. "Hey, Princess, are you awake? I was wondering if you had a minute."

---

Farin was hanging out on the bridge with his feet propped up on a control panel, reading something off of a short screen on his planner. He was quite relaxed, it was nice to get away from the house for such an extended period of time. He had forgotten what it felt like.

Yawning and poking her head out from the small opening in the ceiling of the room Chephnem looked down at the human, her star patterned skin starting to dim down it's shine. "Yeah sure, what's up?" She rolled over to drop her hands down and hang her lower half out of her makeshift bed. In the last couple of months the princess had really gotten used to being around the human crew, and had even began to take a liking to them.

Cella was in the gally whipping up some tea for Farin, even out in the middle of space she made sure to keep up with the few chores she had. When the captain came in.
Pouring some of the boiling water into into the serving pitcher Cella dropped in some tea leaves to let them soak. "Good day Captain Titania." Cella said walking over to a cabinet and grabbed sugar. "Can I get you something?"

~ ~ ~ ~

Rockwell had been intending to find his sister and spend some time with her. But when he came into the bridge he only found the monster. Good enough, he had to know where she was, after all she was never too far from his side with out him ordering it. "Hey, where is Cella?" It had taken some getting used to, calling her by that name, but it was the only way he could keep her from getting mad at him again.

Michaels took a seat on one of the panels and pat the spot beside him. "I don't mean to be awkward - well I never mean for it, but I guess it's always been that way. Anyway, uhm, have you ever, you know liked someone? Like, really liked?"

---

Titania smiled upon seeing the girl in the kitchen. "Hey sweetheart." She jumped up to sit on the counter. "Just gonna get something for my engineer to eat, he's been working all day with no food. Is anything in the works now? I mean, no worries, I'll make it, but if there's already food. You know what? Never mind, I'll get it in a minute. How are you, honey?"

---

"I don't know, I'm working. She doesn't bother me when I'm working, and neither should you." Whether or not Farin was actually working was debatable, but he stood by it nonetheless.

Chephnem placed her hands on the edge of the hole and slipped out, hung for a second then dropped to her feet with ease. This was an interesting subject. "Liked someone?" she asked sitting down next to the human with a smile. "Yeah. I have. I still do like someone." if she were human and had a human skin tone, she would have been blushing. "Why, you like someone?"
~ ~ ~ ~

Cella smiled and moved to a large burner where sat a pot of some thick boiling liquid. "Yes I started on a soup my mother used to make. It should be done in a little." She said lifting the lid and stiring the boiling soup sending up a wave of steam and an aroma of wonderful foods.
Setting the lid back on it she returned to the counter side. "Just fine." She answered "I hope your own day wasn't too bad."

~ ~ ~ ~

"You can't just order me around like you do my sister. If you don't want to be disturbed be some where people don't have to come." Rockwell folded her arms over his chest. "But no worries I am sure I can find her, maybe talk some sense into her at last and drop your monsterus a**."

Michaels immediately thought to Rockwell. She certainly didn;t act like she liked him, or maybe she did? What the hell did he know about girls? He smiled, "That's great, I mean, good, you know... for you- anyway," He thought for a moment before starting up again, "So, I, you know, don't... believe it or not... know anything about... girls." He sighed, "Let me try again, so, how do you handle-? No... What do you say... and...stuff? Or, even, how are you supposed to know if they like you back?"

---

Titania shrugged, "Not a lot to do around here, you know. I'm a captain day in and day out, so, without any action, there's nothing exciting from day to day. Must be exciting for you though, at least you get to be with your man every night, right?" She laughed a bit but shook her head, "No, I won't tease you, I'm sorry. But your brother might have my head for joking like that, huh? It's a burden on us poor little sisters who just want to be free to live their own life."

---

"I'll have you know that my a** is not monstrous, it's quite fit actually." He glanced around the man, "More than one might say for you." He returned to looking at his planner, "Now, if you don't mind, I told you I'm busy. Just your presence annoys me."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 23, 2012 4:47 pm

"Well." Chephnem said with a smile. "They like to spend time with you, like just be around you." She knew she certainly spent enough time with him, she had even based the times he was in the engine room to the times she should be in there. "Maybe you should tell her you like her." Chephnem said encouragingly. She could see it now. Him waking her up one day to tell her he liked her like she liked him. "Or bring her a gift of some sort."
~ ~ ~ ~

Cella blushed and looked off to the pot. "He is my master, and I am his wh-" Cella stopped herself and started again. "His assistant. I am expected to be where he is. My brother is foolish and longs for the days when I needed him to help me." She said pouring herself some of the tea for a test taste. "You are lucky to have such a tight knit family." Cella blew on some of the tea and took a sip, it needed to soak a few moments longer before she could add some sugar to it and serve it.
~ ~ ~ ~

"And I told you to go some where where other aren't supposed to be. Like I don't know, your own room." Rockwell glared, he hated Farin more and more each day. Walking over to a separate control panel Rockwell grabbed a card and tapped it a few times before it came to life. "Either that or suck it up ignore me while I get this done." He checked a few things before moving to the door. "When you leave this ship, it'll be alone. Just so you understand that."

"Not really any place to get a gift here, and we haven't stopped in the last two months..." Michaels grunted, "But, no, I get what you're saying, thank you, really." He sighed and thought for a moment before he turned to her again, "I really should, you know, just say it, but... it's not that easy! I mean. Have you ever done it?"

---

Titania leapt off of the counter and put a hand, rather gently, on the girl's shoulder. "I know you probably can't think much of yourself with the way Farin acts, really, but, he's just not very open about his feelings." She was quiet for a moment before she started again, "Maybe I should explain. Farin calls hanging around me making sure I'm not 'getting into trouble' but he really just wants to make sure I'm safe. He's my big brother. I can't think of any other reason why he'd want you around all the time. He obviously cares about you, even if he won't admit it- and he probably won't, he's Farin."

---

"The only way that would happen is if I suddenly acquired a taste for being lonely and socially retarded, like you are. Does it feel good to follow her around all of the time and hope you'll get a moment of her time every now and then? You know she really likes the nerd with the toolkit, don't you? And who could blame her? He's got so much going for him..." Farin rolled his eyes, "Anyhow, if you don't mind, I told you, I'm busy, now go away."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 23, 2012 5:24 pm

"Yes." Chephnem smiled. "I liked this guard once when I lived at my father's palace. I told him." She sighed and leaned back against the wall. "But I didn't mean buy her a gift, you're an engineer make something!" she tossed her hands up with an excited smile. Chephnem could hardly wait to see what he made for her.
~ ~ ~ ~

Cella was used to thinking before she spoke. After all speaking her mind wasn't always welcomed some times a lie was needed. "He cares for you, that I know. But." Cella shook her head some of her hair falling in her face, sighed she pulled it up into a high pony tail. "I mean you are aware," she blushed her face turning bright red. "that I share a bed with him. Some of the other maids, they've already talked to me about this whole thing. I know my place." she said dropping sugar into a cup as the blush began to fade. "He will like me around for bed purposes until he tires of me or my looks begin to fade, such is the way of life."
~ ~ ~ ~

Rockwell suppressed a snarl and walked out. He needed to talk to Chephnem, she always managed to calm his bad temper, and Farin had successfully enraged him. She had to be in the engine room, not because she liked the engineer he told himself, but because she liked the dark and it was warm.

Michaels laughed quietly, "That would be easy with scraps or raw materials, but there isn't much to work with here." He shrugged, "I still don't know if I'd even have the guts to tell her at all. She's, well, it's like this-" He sighed and began again, "She's, smart and beautiful and, well she's gorgeous, and I just- there is no way she would be interested in me in return, right? I'm just a scrawny, wimpy kid who likes cartoons from the last thousand years and doing math problems for fun. Not to mention, she's a- well, if I told you that, it might not be a secret anymore."

---

Titania laughed, "You're a terrible listener, aren't you? Or are you that much in denial? I'm his sister. I know him pretty well, I've known him for years, and I can tell when he's enamored, if you want to call it that, and I would."

---

Farin snorted and returned to reading his copied issues of comics from the late twentieth century as he muttered, "******** queer."
PostPosted: Mon Jan 23, 2012 6:14 pm

Chephnem suddenly had a bad feeling. Maybe he wasn't talking about her. "You just have to take your chances." She said a little less brightly. "Or just not tell her. That's the safe route." Then again he could be talking about her and be trying to keep her from knowing.

"Are you asking her for advice on something? That's a terrible idea." Rockwell said as he walked in.

"Oh go away." Chephnem hissed glaring at the other man. "You're being rude."

"I seem to be doing that alot today." He said walking over and sitting down with a shrug.
~ ~ ~ ~

Cella poured the tea into the cup. "Our relationship, if it were to be romantic it would be frowned upon." Cella placed the small cup onto a saucer. "If you can give me one moment Mistress, I'll be back to check the soup, I don't think I will be ready but I can see." With that said Cella carried the tea off to the Bridge where she had last seen Farin.
"Master Farin?" She asked as the door slipped open. "I have your tea." she said dropping her head and carrying it to his side.

Michaels stood from where he was and shook his head, "Nope, we were just having a friendly chat is all." He dropped back to the floor to work under a new panel, "I'd better get back to work." He reached for a small universal laser tool and quickly got back to work. "You guys can just pretend I'm not here, I'm used to it, really." God that bigger guy was intimidating.

---

Titania just sighed as the girl walked out, "One day, you'll get it, kid." She shook her head then turned toward the door and then back to the kitchen. "I wish I could cook sometimes. Then, of course, I rememeber I'm good at literally everything else." She remembered that no one else was there and shrugged.

---

"Thank you Cella, you can put it there." He nodded toward the closest flat surface but didn't bother taking his eyes off of the small screen. He waited a moment, he was clearly zoned out of the real world and into what he was reading. As he must have thought Cella was gone by then, he laughed. He laughed aloud. That was rare. Actually, it had been ages since he laughed in front of anyone at all.
