Otto's HP: 15 - 16 = -1
The ninja's attacks hit hard. Having had his Fear Sheild compromised from a previous battle with the tree, Otto was in hot water.
That last, big blow, knocked the teen out cold. Or so it seemed. He was just laying there with the wind knocked out of him.
He'd seen much better days.

Dakota's face had been in her chest. She would never speak of it again, and if he tried he would find whatever bandaid had turned Jerry purple slapped over his mouth. The boy was enough of a horndog without it being acknowledged that he got a facefull of breast. "Eh? Oh." She grinned. "You're welcome~." Oh, Candace. You're so humble. You don't realize how badass and awesome you are, not even a little.
Atropos laughed and then whined desperately again, pleading with Candace to use her damn charge before she exploded! She felt ready to burst!
It was for this reason that Candace had nearly missed the ninja entirely when she ran up to attack it. She stumbled away from the ninja with her head in her hands, groaning unhappily. Stop it, Atropos. Stop it!

Robert didn't know what to say to Candace right now. Not only had she healed him, but she'd taken the hit from the ninja for him, as well. It was really hard to keep hating someone who kept saving your a**, and it was really hard to hold grudges, too. Robert mumbled something that sounded like another thank you, before he got up and trudged over to the first body he saw.
Otto was out cold, and he looked like s**t. What good could one, little, Hello Kitty band-aid do?
Let's find out.

Every bad guy needed a moment to shine. Robert summoned his weapon, and spun it in the air, conjuring up the bright lights and horrifying sounds of Jezebel.
...and shot it up into the air too early.
This is all Petra's fault, he convinced himself. She'd gotten him all overexcited and how he was shooting off his charge too early.

After the attack, Dakota did something he usually never did.
Dakota nodded to his weapon before heading as close as he could to Harrison.
"Yo dude, I'm doing this so you can protect other people okay? Make sure no one dies." He set Chama in the ground as she flared up in flames. A small form of a bird appeared, carrying the flames over to Harrison before disappearing inside the boy.
Looking closely, The other Moon hunter would probably have a glowy red outline and a feeling of heat and safeness.
"Now go help some people Bro." Dakota fist pumped.

Aleister was watching the Ninja as he stood there looking stupidly as the thing attacked a few times. He was starting to feel the effects of the attack. Oh boy, he frowned and winced slightly.
<Come on kid, lets get this guy before he gets us.>
Aleister nodded as he ran forward towards the ninja aiming Pookie at the threat. However he completely missed and the blitzball sailed harmlessly past Jingleberry.

He heard the familiar ring of his phone going off and he stepped away from the boss before sliding his hands out of the cannons and pulling out his phone. Unsurprisingly, Wilson found a text from Em, but the contents were befuddling. W-What did she mean he looked good in a dress?! He didn’t recall wearing a dress. Plus, she was doing the Miss Taken Tower so—Oh. This time he chose not to answer the message. He didn’t know what to say.
Wilson shook his head as he pocketed the device. Then he quickly turned sheepish. Hopefully no one had seen that. He looked around briefly and noticed a number of trainees around him. What the…He shook his head and picked up his weapon again. He could catch up later. The trainee ran up to the ninja and unleashed another cloud of poisonous smoke. The creature didn’t take to it too well and merely smacked him with its sword in response. He skidded a couple yards away from it, conveniently stopping near Dakota. Wilson grinned behind the mask. “Been holding up well?”

Well s**t. That sucked.
Once again, the ninja's attack came quickly and without warning. The tell-tale signs were there -- the tendrils of ripped, ghostly sleeves lifted, bringing with it the sword, and Petra felt her muscles clench automatically, readying for the slice of air that was to come. Spinning around to turn her back to the attack, she had already started to move to cover Robert again when she realized, far too late, that she'd strayed too far away to cover him, a wave of cold fear rushing through her. Luckily, Candace had still been standing nearby, close enough that she could take the fall for him this time -- the moon trainee watched as the other girl snatched up both Dakota and the Life hunter, shielding them from the damage. Unbidden, she felt a sigh of relief even as the air pierced through her FEAR shield, and she dug her mace into the snow, bracing herself on it. Some of the other trainees weren't so lucky, though -- as the battle wore on, first with the minor creatures, now with this ghostly ninja, everyone seemed worse for wear. She needed to step up and do her job.
'The little blonde?' Cain suggested nonchalantly -- considering his size pre-weapon transformation, anyone could have been considered little to him. Scanning the battlefield, her eyes settled on Aleister. Cain had said 'little,' but perhaps he'd meant 'young' or 'new.' Even if that hadn't been whom he had been referring, she doubted the weapon could care less.
Coming up behind the trainee she'd met in a previous mission, Petra reached up to grab the blonde's shoulder, getting his attention."Hey, Aleister right?" she asked, fairly certain she'd gotten the name right, "Stay close, I'll shadow you."
And by that, she meant jump in front of him if the ninja decided to unleash another wave of hell down on them. Not that she was going to be much help for much longer...

The blow from the ninja had just about everyone reeling. Harrison was hanging in there. He wobbled to his feet, when a kind and powerful fairy gave him his blessing.
He glowed with protective power.
Adjusting his crown, he stormed forward to the heat of the battle. He was bullet-proof. He was invincible. He was going to take all the damage. He ran interference for Petra, as his fear shield collided with Jingleberry's.

Whatever this thing was, it was making Eva extremely uncomfortable. The frantic whispers and calls for "home" made her shudder, but she squared her jaw, nodding at Deryk's words. "If you want to go home, the first step is to get out of here." Eva brought her weapon down in an arc, and she jumped back to avoid a counterattack the moment she felt--or at least, saw--the blade slice into the ninja. As she moved backwards, she did a quick sweep of the surrounding area with her eyes, taking in her allies and friends. Some of them seemed to be in decent condition, while others...
"Gale, Puppy! How are you two holding up?" It looked like Ryan and Robert had given them a hand, but neither of them were in the best of states. That being said, neither was she, but Eva was (stubbornly) certain that she could still hang on if she tried. If it came to it, then she would lunge in for another attack.
What were the chances that she would end up regretting this later? Fairly high.

And followed up with some sword-on-sword action.
Clang!
Harrison leaped backwards. He was sparkling hard, and between that and the glow looked like something out of Super Mario. But as he looked around, this wasn't the deal in most cases. All over, people were looking like they were on their last limb. And this guy with the swords just kept taking hits. With the higher-ups away, there was practically nobody in the medical labs, nobody to spot-check or cart them off the field.
They were on their own.
"Hey, Marcus," Harrison said, edging back towards the person the higher-ups had put in charge of their unit.
"I don't know how many hits we can take. The swords guy is hitting...pretty hard. We're rescue, right? I think maybe I should help a few guys off the field before somebody gets...real hurt."

Otto groaned and finally sat up. He stared at the Hello Kitty band aid Robert had given him with mild disdain before looking up at Eva. "Feelin'? ********' peachy.." He growled, stumbling to his feet.
