Unfortunately, even with two of the four daggers destroyed, the barrier remained intact. This time the effects of the barrier forced Break to the ground, just as he reached for one of the remaining daggers.
It was irritating, to be made useless like this and not able to continue on fighting, but at least that Arel had managed to fool the hunter momentarily into thinking he had the snowglobe with an ice made replica. He only hoped it had given them enough time to get it away from them completely.

[LISTENING]
Brit clung to Seb's hand and their shopping as they where shepherded out of the maul by the chaotic crowd, whining slightly at all the people pushing into her. After what seemed to be an eternity of way too many rude people they where finally ejected from the group into some bushes near the parking lot. The sounds of fighting, now familiar after their maul escapades, caught her ear and Brit carefully peaked over their shrub to observe the fighting beyond.
"Seb....? What's going on? Is it more ruffians?" she stage whispered at her companion, clearly confused. Should they go join in again? She couldn't tell who was fighting who, there was no clear tells like smashing scareling toys from before and she didn't recognize anyone in the brawl.

The satisfaction of knocking the heir down on her a** was sadly short lived. A question and a challenge, neither of which Clarice particularly wanted to answer, but deep down, she knew ignoring them would be akin to admitting defeat in whatever little game War was playing with her. And if there was anything she hated, it was losing. Shifting Raeg, she readied her both her answer and her charged attack, intent on not only getting the last word, but to do so while looking really cool, because her shoes were ruined, she'd gotten hit in the face by a giant ******** rat tail earlier, and flustered like a goddamn school girl by the enemy. She kind of needed this moment, ok?! Except then her phone rang, and she remembered that as hunter assistant she was supposed to act profession and have some priorities that didn't involve her ego. With a sigh, she answered, "Zombie One." "b***h, this is ********, do you copy?""Get to the point, 'zone." "Okay, one: I don't appreciate you trivializing my end of this conversation, and I think we need to have a talk later about respect and how a b***h should not be talking to me. And two: we just grabbed a few from like...Barren Oaks...Shady Pines...I don't know, some wood-themed freaking zombie academy, you read? ******** zeds totally fell for the boogeyman act, so we're good to roll when the signal hits. Oh s**t, Frosty the ******** Snowbitch wants a piece and guess who's ready to ******** serve." Dialtone. He hung up on her? Yeah, they definitely had a talk coming. Clarice glared at the phone and readied herself once again for her dramatic giving of whatfor, when she got a text. Seriously? The blonde made a pissy little noise, and checked the text from...Gale?! Text from Gale C - what's going on? What aberrant life forms are inside Deus? We've just defeated one back here; how are the rest of you doing? Wat?Staring at the text in blank confusion, it took a few moments for Clarice to figure out what he was talking about. And then she cursed. Something had gotten through the Island's Inner wards. Hopefully it was just a radioactive badger or some s**t, because otherwise there may not be a home to get back to. kuromeez We're in Halloween, will be returning soon but time difference between portal trips is unpredictable. May be minutes, may be hours. Make sure nothing gets near the labs. She sent her message and glanced toward the doctor, who seemed to be content just watching the horsemen struggle, particularly the bleeding form Death. His smile was both pleased and entirely too speculative for anyone's well-being, and his assistant would honestly prefer keeping her distance for the time-being but... priorities. When he turned that look on her, she reported as quickly and concisely as possible, meeting his eyes only briefly and then slipping them away to land on War, currently bleeding... good...and bantering with Caelius, also good. When the doctor finally gave her his orders, thankfully returning his attention back to the horsemen, Clarice was on her phone and relaying it back to the Zombie and Eclipse teams throughout Halloween. "The is Zombie One: drop your baggage off, and get home. Expect company."

Norvegicus grit his teeth, spotting students and youngsters already gathering at the outskirts of the field. Chaos was unrolling around him, but... but he couldn't be useless! He just! (Shaking, ha managed to pull his tail around and gather himself to his feet) Wanted! (He wobbled upright, staggering a few steps against the barrier) To go back! (He spotted a dagger up ahead, already weakening from the other's blows) TO TEACHING!

With a rattish hiss, his hands returned to some of the remaining vials in his belt, fingers trembling as he pulled one out he *hoped* was what he thought it was... it didn't take much fighting against the barrier to pour the corrosive acid down upon the daggers, and as it sizzled he allowed the stifling feeling to pull him down onto the ground again.
Just catch his breath a few moments, he'd be fine. But another one was down!

((Listening and Freaking Out)) TG pushed through the double doors and out into the unbearable cold parking lot. His eyes were wide as he looked around and saw white stuff. COLD white stuff.
He shivered, pulling up his fluffy hood that allowed his horns to poke out, and looked around as he saw people fighting and some strange ...orb just parked right there. It certainly wasn't a Scare Utility Vehicle.
Scooting closer to one of the cars, he found one that was just recently parked and curled near what little heat he could get. Confused, he reached out to the fluffy white stuff and touched it before instantly shaking his hands and drawing it into his sleeve. THERE WAS COLD DEATH ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!! [LISTEN] ((ENTER))
Alette pushed and shoved himself through the chaos. He cursed himself for not having followed nearly close enough and seemed now to be quite lost in the madness that swarmed around him. It took him a while to even find a space he can run in as he repeatedly shouted out, "Zar! Zar!"
Deja vu really, this had to be the third time tonight he's had to call out for him. Was he really so pitiful that shouting was all he could do at this point? Possibly. It didn't matter right now anyway. All that mattered was he couldn't see him right this moment and it killed him.
Then. Just as it seemed hopeless, there was a flash of white in the darkness. A flicker. It was more than enough.
Al couldn't resist but to roll his eyes. Of course Zar was hiding. He almost always seemed to turn up hiding and chatting up the nearest ghoul. Al's decided he really needs to stop shouting out for Zar and just look for him under or behind the nearest large object.
He tip toed riiiight up behind Zar and hoping the ghoul wouldn't notice or alert Zar to his presence - attempted to heavily flop a hand on Zars shoulder in an effort to startle him.

As Eris and a few others simply reconfirmed his suspicions, he glanced at Clarice, who was discussing something quickly with H. A second later his own headset crackled again-
- "Phase one is complete, sir. Ready to move to phase two. Two teams have already touched base, the rest are moving their baggages and logging out. Scouts team one and two have been unable to locate the artifact."
The timing could not have been any better, as finally, the last of the four daggers flickered and crumbled: containing such large amounts of Fear within Halloween was still something of a working art.
"Fall back then," Caelius reconfirmed through the headset, "We are retreating. I am sure there is much to discuss later after the... negotiations involving the Four Clans." The last sentence was deliberately loud, redirected towards the Amityville staff.
Before the first of the Halloween creatures could consider attacking, the Death Hunter was already on the move, giving several of them an unreadable expression, just a quick glance, before literally, turning around to indeed fall back.
And just as the last of the Hunters left the parking space, the entire area at first flickered with a strange light-
- and then exploded into blue flames. Flames that did not emit energy or heat but simply corroded Fear, burning through the pavement itself. AMITYVILLE STAFF: YOU ARE FREED BUT... - You manage to escape the flames, just barely, but now you are faced with a choice. The Hunters are retreating! That means while you saved Amityville do you dare let them get away after all they've done? - To chase after them, roll a 6-sided dice. If odd, you can successfully move onto the attack phase (use an attack) and select a target. If even, your attack misses. STUDENTS: YOU HEAR A NOISE! Maybe you are an Amityville student or just a visitor- The parking lot is on fire! The flames are spreading out like wildfire, you need to run! But at the same time the ??? figures are moving out too. Do you dare follow them? - To follow simply BOLD FOLLOW at the top of your post. You are also free to try to interact with any Amityville staff member leaving the scene.Try your best to chase after them, and get their attention, if your character dares! Make sure to QUOTE you you are talking/ addressing. - To retreat simply BOLD RETREAT. You will have exited from the parking lot space (and retreated from the chaos!) - You are also free to attempt to attack a Deus member as well, roll a 6-sided dice. If odd your attack misses, if even you can continue onto the attack phase. QUOTE YOUR TARGET. - PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, if your character was not involved in any of the metas they have NO CLUE what a Hunter is, much less who they are! OOC:SUMMARY SO FAR While Arel might have been first to discover the snowglobe containing Amityville, it looks like the Hunters have caught on too. Thankfully, several Amityville staff and ToTers came to his rescue, though after a light showdown, the Hunters currently have them all trapped in a barrier, with the snowglobe nowhere in sight - is it safe? The other question though is regarding word of this treaty, what exactly are they talking about? Before anyone can hear anything substantial, it seems the Hunters are retreating yet again.

Invictus did not seem pleased to see the hunters retreating from him in the least. No, they needed to be crushed, and only a fool would let them leave like that, and Invictus was no fool.
However, it did seem like he was a very poor aim (as always), and even as he threw debris from the parking lot after the hunters, it seemed his ability to actually hit them was just pure s**t. It didn't really help his rage at all.
Ever.
He was just getting more and more pissed about things as it went.

The barrier was FINALLY bloody down. Letting out a cry, more bird like, she turned to face their attackers. CLEARLY it was just a little personal now, how DARE they cage them in like birds!
Sadly though, her aim just sucked as her attack missed. Slippery little bastards...

"About time!"
Break was relieved as he watched the barrier crumble, only to jump back with a start, as blue flames erupted everywhere; consuming anything and everything Fear related within it's reach. Hell, even the parking lot did not go untouched. Luckily, the storm dragons reflexes were quick enough that he avoided any unfortunate injuries, but at the same time he he forfeited the chance to pursue the attackers.

FollowTG had no idea what was going on, but he did hear some key words that turned his attention from the cold, white stuff over to the people in cloaks. There was to be a treaty that involved 4 clans, and the other thing, as the entire place was set to flames, they were also VERY powerful. Any organized group dressed in the same drab uniform doing business with 4 clans, which to him sounded very important to only have 4, meant that something possibly very valuable was to be given or taken. A deal of that magnitude called out to the small imp who, if he could somehow get in on the deal, could come out all the richer or more powerful for it.
It did seem that these cloaked figures did not like the Halloweeners present, but he was a suave creature with two fathers that had a lot of influence and resources. Fathers who would be rather proud of him if he managed to land a deal no one else got to be involved in.
Smiling, he raced away from the fire, unhappy that it wasn't warm or else he would have just ran through it, and stomach twisting about the danger and risk involved, followed after the retreating group. Zar yelped in surprise as he was grabbed by Al, very quickly stifling the sound with his mouth and shooting the faun a cold look, about to lecture him in hushed whispers about how dangerous their current position was based on his previous experiences when he heard the words "Fall back" distinctly behind him, whipping his head round to look just as the fires broke out.
"JACKJACKJACK ITS THAT FIRE" he was convinced it had to be the doing of the students he recognised again, he'd seen it coming but that made it no less terrifying. Which resulted in him seizing Al like a frightened cat. "RUN RUN RUN"

Al quickly lept up as Zar clung to him with his claws. All he could see was a blur of fire, scared Zar and the shadows of people running away. His.. first instinct was well meaning but a clear failure in execution.
He ran after the ??? as hard as his hooves could carry. Surprising strength bursting forth as he attempted to carry Zar the whole way with all his might.
