That's my attempt at a bounty hunter looking for work :/

It's not really as bad as having a lack of direction. We've barely started the RP. We just need to get settled into it a little bit more.

Danika and Nova are both kinda hiding, laying in wait for Jian. If they're anywhere near each other, one could maybe spot the other. If Nova's not hiding her presence, Danika could likely sense her nearby and decide to investigate.

Sounds about right. :]

I like playing a character who doesn't have the highest senses. For example, he saw the dancer and couldn't even make out her face. Still, he was slightly suspicious. Maybe later he can sustain injuries to the leg and limp. biggrin

Danika's only weapon is her lightwhip, and it only stuns. The worst it'd do to someone is a bruise from the sheer force of impact, maybe, but for the most part, it's a deal of repeatedly smacking you, or getting you snared in it for maximum effect, to the point you're sapped of all your strength and either collapse or otherwise are rendered harmless.

Speaking of which, Cinn is pretty much immune to Danika's lightwhip completely. Based on the bio info, his armor is lightsaber resistant and insulated against shock. Assuming his armor covers every inch of his body, Danika's lightwhip is effectively useless against him.

@ Valkore: Are you a bounty hunter, or are you a merc? The two are about as different as a soldier and a guerilla rebel. Bounty hunters needn't apply necessarily for work or contracts, as they'd be sponsored by a house (at least if they were smart), which would allow them to peruse the local criminal databases of a particular place. For lack of a simpler terms, they just pick up the wanted poster and go.

As for a merc, that's far more formalized contracts and understood... however, recruiting offices exist, though just as many mercs are picked up just in the local cantinas as they are in formal settings. Remember Kotor, with Manaan? yeah, no official military presence there, but they'd troll the bars for anyone with a heavy armor and gun.

@DA: perhaps it is immune to the lightwhip's energy components, but there's more than one way to skin a cat. ;p

I intend to have Danika be at least somewhat flirty because of being half-Zeltron, but I dunno if being a Jedi would mean she's not supposed to do certain things like that.

I mean, in a moment of crisis, you do what you have to in order to get the job done, and even the Jedi will resort to lethal force, despite wanting peace. I just dunno if working the seductive angle to avoid a physical conflict would be considered a valid tactic or if it'd be seen more like skirting the border.

Well, I said contractor in my bio. I have no idea why I said bounty hunter razz Maybe it's because I get to pay TOR in one day.

I'd say they're pretty uptight about it. According to a quest I did on Tython two days ago: "There is no emotion, there is peace."

Granted, the quest dealt with seperating two lovers, and not flirting to get a job done. Either way, your actions would be borderline, and not something you should be telling your fellow jedi about.

Doesbthe whip do shock or stun damage? Stun damage, like a blaster set on stun, is different energy than shock. Mind you the insulated nature of the suit was added with rival sith in mind.

I recall her saying it was mainly a stun weapon. Though, I doubt many would go through the trouble of crafting a lightwhip with only a stun function. Seems a waste of tech and skill

Danika's a pacifist, remember. She absolutely refuses to use lethal force, because she strongly believes that nobody is beyond redemption. That's why her lightwhip only stuns.

I thought stun damage was a type of shocking, just not a very potent one, since it's not meant to do any lasting harm. How does stun damage work if that's not the case?

Anyways, I'm thinking Danika can still work the seductive angle, just nowhere near the level of Siren did. The Jedi Order may not be all that happy about it, but she keeps her self control and for the most part it only amounts to sweet-talking. Given she's half Zeltron, it'd be a kinda natural instinct for her, and her Jedi training would mean she can keep herself in check so she never gives into the emotions herself. I just really don't like the idea of her having to be a very emotionally neutral type. It doesn't fit her at all.

I'd also think that, being half-Zeltron, it'd be kinda impossible to ignore her flirtatious side

even in the strictest of times of the twilight era, Aalya Secura was known for her beauty and the small flings she had with others; in this era, the jedi don't entirely abandon the feelings of love.

More I would believe is that they try not to let emotions rule their mind (hence a peaceful mind) and prefer to let themselves pick actions with logic. It's not until later we have drastic dogmatic changes against marriage and love that really say "be stoic".

In short, it's probably okay to flirt as long as you aren't doing so with intent to fool another, or let yourself be lost to the throes of passion.

Jedi: Make love, not war.
Zeltron: Okay! * starts to undress *
Jedi: I didn't mean literally!
Zeltron: ... Why not?
