Brantley gets caught off guard and sent to the second cage because of Chrono's armdrag. He held his back and arched it up in pain. His chances of winning were slim to none at this point as he hadn't gotten any offense in all match.

Phoenix grasped her wrist with her spare hand as she moved out of the way, just in time for Summers to fall prey to her husband's arm drag. She'd barely escaped her husband's wrath but only to be granted a stay of execution, so to speak.Phoenix could only watch from a distance now, knowing that any interference would only serve to undermine her cause.

With Summers down, Landry had his shot to ascend the cage and get to that top level where Chrono and Athena were standing with the belt.

"Don't get in my way Athena, I love you but this is coming with me tonight.." Chrono said as he saw Landry coming up the stage. "Here comes a new challenger.." Chrono thought to himself as he got the belt in 'I'm gonna clobber Landry with it mode'

Landry stood up on the edge of the cage, facing down two very hostile enemies. One he could hit, one he couldn't. Mike watched both of them carefully, because a fall from this height was "No-Do-Over" zone.

Phoenix was still grasping her left wrist from her earlier run-in when she found herself face to face with her husband and with her son's father. It was as if she were a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming vehicle, knowing that she had to move, had to fight but not knowing how or if she could without risking her own skin. Phoenixfire drew a ragged breath before she took one final glance at Landry and Chrono, waiting for everything to blow up in her face like she knew it would. It was no longer a matter of if because everything was clear to her and she knew it to be a matter of when. Phoenix let out a nervous chuckle before she did her best to raise her wavering voice above the roar of the crowd surrounding them.
"Gentlemen first, I guess."

Mike shrugged nonchalantly, "Been there, done that, bought a time share."
He said confidently as he stepped right up to Chrono, daring him to take a shot.

"One down, one to go.." Chrono smirked mocking Landry from few weeks earlier. He then looked down at Brantley and back to Landry. "She already knows I'm winning this... You mine as well accept it.." he said with a smirk. "I mean I've already taken everything from you, proven to be your better... " Chrono said to antagonize Landry.

Phoenixfire watched as the two struggled for the upper hand before her very eyes, struggling to listen to the verbal exchange between the two. She had been ordered to stay out of this scuffle but the temptation to interfere was too great. Phoenix kept a keen eye on the two and waited for the opportunity to interfere to present itself, knowing that she was bound to have her chance soon.

"One to go? Because I think that little lady behind you thinks she can beat you. Honestly, after i'm done with you, I think she can too," he barked back, aiming a stiff straight kick to Chrono's left knee seeing as he was too cowardly to initiate the conflict.

Brantley slowly turned onto his stomach feeling the pain of the toss. He was sent to the second cage from above the third and quite frankly, he was ******** out the wazoo because of it.

Landry's kick connected and Chrono instead of buckling forward buckled backwards trying to regain his balance unfortunately Phoenixfire was behind him and she was at the edge of the top of the cage..

Phoenixfire still had her eye trained on the struggle in front of her when everything went awry. What happened before her seemed to play out in slow motion as it occurred so it was almost surreal to find her chance to grab the title from her husband's belt come toward her, only to be tossed back in reality when she discovered that wasn't the case. Phoenix found herself taking her husband's place in his path towards the edge of the cage after having become quite familiar with Landry's boot. She had no time to attempt to right herself or to jump out of the way but slipped against the curve of the edge of the cage, falling off the edge with a horrid shriek. Phoenix threw her hands out to catch just a sliver of the cage as it passed her but knew that she could all too easily have fallen to her death, something Landry had tried to warn her of earlier.

Mike's eyes went wide as he saw Chrono stumble into Athena, and he knew he had to act fast. Landry was already running by the time Chrono had bumped into Athena, and he jumped off the highest point of the cage the moment that she fell off, rolling his body so that he was under Athena and wrapping her arms around her body. He didn't even think about what he did, he just did it on instinct. On the long way down, Mike knew that this was it, and he likely wasn't getting up afterwards, but her safety was more important than some piece of gold.
Mike landed back first with a thickening, thunderous crash on the ceiling of the FIRST cage. They had fallen two stories onto the chain link ceiling, but hopefully Landry's selfless actions were enough to save Athena from most of the impending harm.
