By the gods, it seemed like the tragedy would never end.
The day before had been somber enough after discovering Wallace's body; her investigation with Legault hadn't brought nearly sufficient evidence to show who could have done it, or if he'd died beforehand, so all Blossom could do was wait patiently for the effects of the storm to subside long enough for them to leave. And of course, come morning, there was yet another death. Or in this case, three.
Blossom was silent, face going paper white. Their routes out of the manor were dead, as was one of their group trained in riding flying mounts... things were looking grim. Her stomach churned, starting to quietly regret having eaten already, and Blossom hid her eyes, trying to calm down wordlessly. They were all really in trouble now...
The others were talking, some asking for more evidence, Dietrich blaming Jaren, and Ephraim blaming Enailios. Blossom quietly uncovered her eyes, glancing at Dietrich, then stepping towards Ephraim before finally speaking up, voice shaky.
"I don't... I don't think Jaren did it. He's not helpless, but I'd like to think I know him well enough to believe he wouldn't indiscriminately kill people. Not to mention the d-dead mounts. Whoever did this... they wanted t-to keep us here. And would have to have enough strength t-to kill Umbriel and Titania without... getting hurt. And get back b-before anyone noticed."
She looked over at Enailios, and though she looked forlorn, her eyes were set. "I-I agree with Ephraim."
[[Yes to Enailios, no to Jaren]]

Bozo could not believe this! This was insane! Why would this be happening! Bozo did not like this!
Now all the humies was hissing and spitting and looking mean, and Bozo did not like that! But still, all of them couldn't sit around doing nothing, or they would all end up like mudpacks altogether! Bozo did not want to become a mudpack, Bozo liked much more flying around and eating good food!
Bozo paled as the Messy Hair Man said Moss Man had done it! Bozo had stayed in Moss Man's bed during the night, so Moss Man could've offed Bozo when Bozo was sleeping! Bozo was so small so Bozo would never be found again if he had done that, so Moss Man killing everyone didn't make sense to Bozo! Besides, Moss Man was more stupid than Bozo! So of course it wasn't possible for Moss Man to kill all those people!
However, the Lancer Man's words rang true. Though Bozo got lost mid-sentence, there was something coming from that man that made Bozo want to listen to what Lancer Man said. Bozo didn't like hammers either, so Smithyman was untrustworthy!
Bozo put one ear under Bozo's chin and nodded in agreement, all the while wearing the eyepatch and looking awesome.

The accusations were flying about by now, of course, and Legault was finding it difficult to condemn anyone without any solid proof behind it. Still, they had to do something. "A lot of the unknowns about these killings could be answered simply by...well...there being more than one murderer. It's possible either of them could have done it and it's possible both of them could have done it. I think it may be prudent to check the two of them out."
[Yes to both. Can I do that?]

Sue looked to Legault. "It's more than possible that there are two people responsible for this... and based on what Ephraim has said, I think there's a possibility of Enailios being responsible." She thought more about Jaren and the possibilities that he could be a conspirator.
"As for Jaren, I think his foolishness is the perfect cover-up, wouldn't you agree?"
[Yes to both.]

The bald commander committing suicide really didn't seem fitting to him, but that was the diagnosis there, so instead it was best to ignore it for now. Besides, food was waiting for them downstairs.
After heading back to his room, he decided to give it more thought. This didn't really seem to add up to him, but at least this was all over. Or so they would all think, since another death came up, as well as the deaths of the only way out till the bridge was fixed.
Accusations went going, and then it seemed he was under suspicion for being the killer as well. Me? The killer? Instead of rebuking Ephraim right off the bat, he decided to listen to the reasons that he had for this accusation. Working with heavy objects was true. Work with a noose...well he hadn't done that stuff in a long time. And work with multiple weapons with little experience?
"Well, if that is all you have to say...I'm just going to say this now. You are pointing the fingers at the wrong person. I'm not the killer. Yes, blacksmiths work with heavy objects often. Your next point...working with nooses. I did that quite sometime ago. It's been about a couple years since I last did that. If anything, the noose I would make would be sloppy. And as for your last point, I make weapons. Just because I do that does not mean I can use them that well. My work with anything outside swords would be sloppy."
He took a breath and collected his thoughts. The idea that he was the killer...this was ridiculous to him. More people were agreeing with the lancer boy. "This part may or may not change your mind about me, but I don't exactly know any of you that well. I would have no reason to kill just for no apparent reason. None of you have done anything to me that would make me want to kill. If anything, I'd rather learn who you guys are than kill you off."

Accusations were already starting. First, Drinky went to accuse the Dumbass, then Stickman went and accused Smithy. It seemed like everyone was beginning to suspect Smithy. The cat pondered for a moment, then spoke up.
"Hold it." the cat said. "Sure, what Stickman is saying is valid. However, I don't think this could have been done with just one person. To the first murder... if it's axes, there's more than just Drinky (Dietrich), Baldy (Wallace), and Smithy (Enailos). Don't... Heroes use an axe too?" he suggested, turning to look at Phantom (Oujay).
Continuing on. "It also seems like the killer, or killers, have some sort of thing involving Scarface (Vaida). From what I could tell, there was some sort of respected rivalry between the two her and Baldy, especially with how she furious she was with Baldy's death. The killer then goes out of their way to kill both the pegasus and the wyvern to prevent Scarface and Mini Skirt (Vanessa) from getting back to town. Mini Skirt probably walked in on the killer committing the act and died before she could expose the killer."
He then turned to face Dietrich. "Last night you stated that you could only read and write in... Issacian, was it? That doesn't stop you from threatening your own teacher to write his own suicide note. There was bruising around the eyes that the butler pointed out, weren't there? You could have easily struck him in the face and reduced his visibility, thus explaining his poor handwriting and misspellings. If you close you eyes and try to write, your handwriting would not be perfect."
He paused here, letting this sink in for the others.
"If Baldy was your teacher, that would mean you're in the Guard, which Scarface is commander of, is she not? ... Could it be you like Scarface, and are willing to do whatever it takes to be with her, even if it means killing your teacher and preventing her from leaving?" he asked.
He then turned to the others. "Besides Drinky, Baldy, and Scarface, who else here is in the Guard?"
((Sunil is accusing Dietrich of being the killer, and is raising suspicions for Oujay as well))

This was...
BLAAA.
The Cleric's hands trembled as she wiped her mouth free of vomit, her knees threatening to give out underneath her. This was horrible...Sure, the Cleric wasn't new to this sort of site with her healing duties...But this wasn't a battlefield. This wasn't conflict. This was pure murder. No mistake about it. Malice stained the air with its stench, overwhelming Rin.
"Vanessa...Even the poor creatures...This is no incident or suicide...This is murder. Cold blooded murder..."
She muttered to herself, trying to make any sense of the situation...But it soon developed into a session of accusations. The stress of the past few days had been enough. People wanted results and they wanted them now. Accusations needed to be made...But they were taken in all seriousness.
"...I do not think Jaren is capable of this sort of thing...Sure, he might be a capable fighter from what I hear...But this...Even the Pegasus...They weren't even removed from their restraints...No, on this matter...I'll agree with Miss Blossom."
Rin cupped her mouth, daring to gaze onto the scene once more. Yes...This was not Jaren's handywork...Unless there was a side of the boy he had been hiding, even from the woman who seemed to be acquainted with him. And now there were accusations towards the blacksmith...
"...I take this man for his word. He holds no ill towards any of us...Plus he is a honest man of honest work. I see no reason to doubt him...Besides, I have reason to believe, as our laguz companion stated, that...Vaida might be the target behind the murders. The first was made to look like an accident so that Wallace's 'suicide' could be justified. And now, they've taken out our means of escape...And struck another blow to miss Vaida. First, someone close to her and now her very partner...Whoever it is, must have a connection with her."

Dietrich just blinked slowly, then cocked his head. "Wait, what? You think I made him write his... own suic-- I had no reason to kill him. He got me back in shape," he sighed, rolling his eyes. "Anyway... yeah, alright, I still think Jaren's suspicious as hell, and way too chipper after people die, but the blacksmith guy has... well, means, anyway. But we sort of all do."
He frowned thoughtfully, scratching his stubbly chin. "On the other hand, he's shifty-eyed, and clearly up to something."
[That's a yes to Enailos, as well.]

Aruna slithered behind Rin then gently put a comforting hand on her shoulder. She waited until the young cleric finished speaking before offering an elixir. "This should help your nausea," the nagini herbalist spoke softly with a reassuring smile. "You're lucky I gathered enough materials to make this and a few more concoctions before we all got stuck here."
Now while the snake woman had a stronger constitution, it would seem, than her roommate, the murder scene was still not a pleasant sight. Aruna kept her serpentine eyes directed towards the ground nowhere near the blood. She listened to the accusations being thrown into the air. Some she could believe. Others she could not. It didn't help that the blacksmith did a piss poor job of defending himself. At least that drunkard fought back with evidence proving his innocence. This almost seemed like martyrdom. He must be protecting his partner, whoever that may be. Aruna almost didn't want to give him the honor, but the prospect of one less murder appealed much more.
The claims against the green haired idiot from before still didn't seem quite right. He did try to arrest a tree earlier, but perhaps this silliness could be an act. Just like the blacksmith's nice guy routine. However, Blossom did have a point for now.
As for the blue furball's allegation against the drunkard, it seemed slightly viable, but there were some flaws in his reasoning. More evidence would be needed in order for Aruna to completely agree with him. Although she did become somewhat suspicious of that boy who asked about the rooms before.[Yes, Enailios. No, Jaren. No, Dietrich.]

Another idea hit him through this. "If you won't believe what I said earlier, then how about considering this? I'm a blacksmith, and I make a profit from the weapons I construct. It wouldn't be good for me to kill off potential customers. For one, it would mean I lose some profit. And for two, if the people found out I would get a bad reputation. Those two things are bad for a salesman, and why would anyone want that?"

And Iris was there. Iris stood up sharply from her seat, the force sending the chair backwards and clattering against the hard floor. "That seems very convenient, blacksmith rogue."
"BUT!"
"Nasir was a dragon. He wouldn't have used your weapons anyway. Laguz cut into your business, and that makes you angry. As for Wallace... Wallace was a big man. A really big man.""And his bald head was blinding!""... BIG MAN. You simply didn't have the resources to make weapons for such a man, did you? So he shopped at the armory across town, and he was one of their best customers. You couldn't have that. He was literally destroying your business!"
"But finally... the young girl Vanessa. One would wonder why you targeted her. The answer is more complex than we might imagine, and to answer that we'd have to turn to a week ago... when Vanessa's pegasus ate your lunch.""ATE YOUR LUNCH.""And you vowed revenge, did you not?!""VOWED REVENGE.""But it'd be odd for a mount to just die, wouldn't it? So you took her rider, as well. But, unfortunately, there was a witness. You couldn't allow Vaida's wyvern to live.""Umbriel was so yooooooooooooung~ ;~;"Iris huffed and stormed up to face Enalios, a mere few inches separating their faces. "YOUR ARGUMENT IS FLAWED.""yeah, kekeke! Flawed! Paper-thin!""What's your defense, heathen?!'"Yeah, punk!"

...Who was this crazy lady saying that his argument was flawed? Seriously, she had no facts straight. She was just spouting nonsense. That dragon not being able to use his weapons may have been right, but up until he got to the manor he never saw the man before. "The general was a part of the guard. I help supply the guard with weapons, so I would not kill one of their ranks."
And the pegasus eating his lunch? That had never happened. "You don't have facts straight do you? Her pegasus never touched my lunch. I am not a man of revenge either. My defense is that you don't have facts straight. I had nothing against any of these people."[[Short story short. He's going through saying he didn't commit the murders. He never saw Nasir before now, he supplies the guard, and never had a run in with Vanessa's pegasus. He wouldn't do something stupid to tarnish his name, and his reputation.]]
