The car abruptly whipped around and took a corner so fast that she skidded a bit, "I know a short-cut." Aisha said by way of explanation. It was a bit refreshing driving with someone who didn't mash their foot on the imaginary brake pedal, or clutch the door in utter panic. She skidded to a halt two houses down and jumped out, "I'll go in from the back, you keep him from going out front, sound good?"

Kohaku cocked his head slightly, smirking fractionally. "Hai... be aware of surroundings at all times... those within the house may or may not be sympathetic," he said quietly as he slid out of the car.

"He's robbing an occupied house? Idiot!" She grumbled and then nodded once and took off down the street and then easily vaulted the fence and landed right in front of a dog. The dog stood at attention but didn't make a sound. Aisha's tail puffed and she froze as well. For what seemed an eternity neither of them moved. The dogs muscles tensed right before it sprang. A silent attacker, never a good sign. She avoided the attack and launched one of her own, wrapping her arms and legs around the animal. One hand clamped around his jaw, the other closed off it's airway.
The dog frantically struggled against her grip but it wa no match and it soon passed out. She let him go, not wanting to kill the mutt but he was going to get in the way. Tail still puffed, Aisha sighed and stood, stalking around to the back door. It was unlocked.
Of course it was unlocked.

Kohaku carefully slid around the front of the house, chuckling under his breath. The 'idiot' thing is kinda given... they're stupid enough to go to jail, then jump whatever bail they got on them... whaddya expect.... Harvard geniuses? he thought. He stood slowly, his gaze flickering in the window to see Garret, his dark brown skin sweaty and his dreadlocks lank with oily slime, half sllumped against a wall with a beer. He was smirking unpleasantly and Kohaku caught faint whimpers of fear. So it's a hostage situation, he thought grimly, a faint smile flashing over his face as he lightly tapped the window. Locked, but no matter... one strike is all I need, he thought, slipping through the thorny bushes as he lightly broke off a couple of the thorns that left scratches as one got stuck with a curse that came out as a soft hiss. He paused momentarily by the front door, lightly tapping the knob with a couple of fingers. Unlocked... bub, you ain't gonna have time to even pull your pants down even if they're already around your knees," he thought as he lightly turned the knob and pushed the door open slowly. He was somewhat surprised that Garrett's pants were indeed around his knees as he held a pistol to the girl's throat in front of him on the couch. "Bakayaro," he growled. Almost immediately the jumper spun, his eyes widening as twin needles impaled themselves just above his collarbone; he fell limply to the ground.
Kohaku knew he'd appear dead, but the man was still living; he'd wake up once the needles were removed with a headache that would make the world's worst brain freeze look pleasant.

Aisha came in just in time to see the guy collapse. She let out a irritated huff, "Seriously!" Her irritated expression softened and she smirked, "We'll probably be done by lunch at the rate you're dropping them." She chuckled. She grimaced, her ears flattening against her head as the girl sobbed. She looked at the fallen bail jumper with his pants down and then the girl, then back, then again to the girl, "You handle 'Pants on the Ground' there." she tossed Kohaku the cuffs and then came around towards the woman, "Um, Bond Enforcement. We'll get him outta here for you....um...you want me to call the police? Is there someone else in the house?" She asked.
The woman nodded, her eyes huge and glassy with shock.
Aisha narrowed her eyes, thinking, "You want me to call the police?"
The woman nodded.
"Is there someone in the house?"
The woman nodded.
"Have you ever seen an elephant fly?"
The woman nodded.
Aisha huffed, "Right. Police." She made the woman sit, threw a blanket on her then located the phone, "Hey Sal. I'm at...uh....yeah I have no idea what address...oh you got it? Okay, yeah, we caught a jumper here. The woman's in shock, you'll probably wanna call a bus for her. We'll take the package downtown...yeah, I know, my new partner is dynamite! Okay, bye."
It didn't take long for the cops to show with an ambulance in tow. Aisha directed them inside, "We'll make our statement at the station. Gotta get the jumper processed."

Kohaku chuckled, snickering as he watched Aisha amuse herself for a few seconds with the woman before handling the situation. "He's lucky I didn't aim a half inch lower... he wouldn't have been able to get it up ever again... or feel anything below the neck either," he said in a low voice as he pulled up the guy's ragged pants and handcuffed him. "I know nerve points that can paralyze... some that can do this, sending them into a semi-conscious false death, and some that can kill; only reason I don't use the last is because I hate to kill, even when it's necessary," he said wryly as he tugged the needles free with a twitch of his fingers. Immediately Garret's body tensed as his eyes snapped open. "Try me.... I want to drag you by your damn ankles the whole way, baka," he murmured. He knew from the way that Garrett's eyes widened that his pupils were slitted before he smelled an acrid odor. "Get the hell up, you pansy a**," he growled as he stood, tempted to drag him out of the house by the collar of the dirty shirt he wore and slam his head into anything and everything he could. He glanced up at the cops before he blinked at one of them, recognizing her. Unconsciously, a faint smirk flashed over his lips. "Sammy, looks like you got your dream, lass," he said with faint amusement. The redheaded rookie with a pixie cut blushed, her light green eyes looking surprised as he hefted Garrett to his feet and duckwalked him out of the door. He knew she'd piece it together, since Saminara wasn't one who made friends that easily.

Aisha didn't stay long after the police arrived. They had everything handled and her partner and bail jumper were in the car. She left and slipped into the driver's seat. She sighed, her ears drooping, her head thumping against the steering wheel. She said nothing and stayed that way for awhile. Abruptly she straightened and turned the car on before peeling into the street. She had the presence of mind not to screech off...not with so many cops around.

Kohaku cocked his head, noticing Aisha's reaction to the police. "Don't worry about them... even if they look at us as 'freaks' physically, we know we're no different from them.... trust me, I know one woman who looks just as human as anyone you'll meet, yet when it comes to the power within her.... she's intimidating, though the way she puts it is 'practical when necessary'," he said thoughtfully. He cocked his head slightly, glancing back at Garrett, who slumped in the seat before he shifted his hips. "Don't even think about it, pal... I'll aim somewhere a hell of a lot less pleasant next time... I'll leave you alive, but part of you won't be so.... useful," he said quietly. He glanced downward for just an instant as the man went ashen and put his foot down. He knew the man got the message as he turned back to face front.

Her ears twitched and she sighed, taking a corner way to fast, "It's been a long time since someone's life was in the balance. I wanna rip his throat out." She growled, gripping the steering wheel so tightly it groaned slightly in protest. She slowed deliberately when she got to the station and parked, "Might be better if you brought him in. Otherwise he'll be brought in in shreds." She gave Kohaku a crooked smile.

Kohaku shifted, chuckling slightly. "If I had my way... he wouldn't be much better, considering if I had a chance, I'd drop him headfirst from a few hundred feet off the ground... see how well he walks away from that" he said quietly, knowing his voice held a feral note to it. Garrett sputtered in protest, apparently at least catching part of what they were saying. "You wouldn't.... it'd be police brutality..." he said weakly. Kohaku shot a glance at him that made him push back to the seat as if trying to become part of it. "You forget one little detail... we aren't the police," he said emotionlessly; the tone he used at that moment was scary because he was so calm... it was the kind of tone that said 'keep pushing your luck, and you might not walk away'.

Before she was tempted she strode into the station and nodded to the desk sargent.
"That was quick, A!" He whistled appreciatively.
"It's the new partner." She jerked her thumb towards Kohaku, "We'll head on down to booking."
"Ten-four." He waved them on and went back to whatever he was doing.
Aisha led him down and the processing began. She had to slow down a bit to explain what happened when they brought in a bail jumper but it wasn't all that complicated. The most irritating part was the paperwork but the money made it so worth it...

Kohaku nodded with amusement. The bail jumper tried to pull away, but Kohaku's hand flashed out, lightly tapping a point near his lower back. He doubted Aisha would know what he'd done, but the guy's legs went limp as he hit the floor facefirst hard. Kohaku simply kept walking, dragging the guy by the back of his collar. He knew the feeling would return in a couple of hours at most, so he didn't really care. "He's in for breaking and entering in the file, but I'm certain he'll be in for additional charges of assault, attempted rape and another B&E charge... if he's lucky," he said thoughtfully, ignoring Garrett's colorful curses.

News traveled fast down the blue grapevine and the officers happily took Garret off of their hands and handed over his slip. Aisha was beaming by the time they walked back out and nearly skipping when they got to her car, "Today is going to be a short day!" She sang happily, unlocking the car.
