Jack pulled up another apple, and happily gave it to Aku so she could add it to the pile. She felt pretty lucky getting to help, and kept a tab on the count even though she didn't have too. She also kept eyeing the barrel, and watching the water go into a fit almost every time Jack put his head under to try and get an apple. He had to try to grab them from the surface, but this was very hard to do, because the Sharpedo would swim around, causing a whirlpool of sorts. Their fins also would knock around the apples, making it even harder than it had to be. Jack's nerves and strength was also starting to waiver.

Jack retrieved no apples, but did nearly receive a bite from a Sharpedo to the face. Aku gave him a pat to the back and went back to cheering. How much energy did this Pokemon have? Jack decided it had something to do with her being an electric type. He was glad that he had such an energetic partner, since he needed the energy to give him some. He could get pretty lazy, and it would suck if his partner also liked to procrastinate.

Eon
When Eon finally grew brave enough to venture to the side of the barrel again he was more than a little disheartened. There were so many Sharpedo and only one of him. One Pikachu standing barely over a foot tall, against these massive blood-thirsty fiends that wanted nothing more than to devour him as he was. Arceus what could he do, what could he do!? With utmost reluctance, Eon realized that the only thing he could do was keep going, and that meant trying to get another apple, no matter the stakes. Cautiously, he leaned down, ears backs so they wouldn't brush against the water, and moved toward an apple floating nearby. He never had a chance to get it. The Sharpedo were suddenly all over where he was, as if they hadn't been circling in the center a mere instant ago. One of them, he thought it was one of the new ones although he couldn't really distinguish any of them from the others, snapped its teeth so close to his face that he could feel its breath on his face. The splash it made upon retreating back to the water completely drenched Eon, leaving the Pikachu to turn away and shake off some of the water before he could get back to his task. Arceus, this was insanity if ever anything was.Apples: 12 Sharpedo: 5

The Sharpedo had for whatever reason retreated to the bottom of the barrel. Jack took the chance to open his mouth as wide as it would go, and with a bit of aim, slammed it into the water. He really didn't have to slam it, but he was worried about how much time he had, and was indeed rushing. This was his chance! And he used it wisely. He had somehow aimed correctly, and got his big ol' mouth to wrap around two apples. His teeth sunk in and he brought them away from the barrel just as the 4 Sharpedo leaped into the air, looking for Jack's body. They didn't just wanna bite him, they wanted to eat him! He put the apples in the pile, and hoped this event would end pretty soon, cause he wouldn't be able to handle anymore Sharpedo.

Eon Right, this wasn't anything new, there were just more of them now. So many more. Eon tried to calm his quickly beating heart, and looked down into the water with a sinking sensation in his chest. The five Sharpedo were glaring at him with intense hatred as they circled about in the water, clearly determined not to let him anywhere near the apples. Well, he couldn't just stand for that, not a chance. Gritting his teeth, Eon looked down into the water and stared at the Sharpedo. Fast, he'd have to be really fast to do this right. Alright, he'd just had to try it; he just had to do it and not think. Getting a nearby apple in his sights, the Pikachu ducked his head down and bit for the apple as hard as he could. He was thoroughly relieved when his teeth bit into the apple's flesh, and he jerked up just seconds before another set of teeth bit down where the apple had been before. Lucky, he had been so lucky.Apples: 13 Sharpedo: 5

To Jack's serious dismay, another Sharpedo was released into his barrel. How did they even fit? He looked to Aku, not sure what he planned to do. What could he do? The Sharpedo were certainly going to hurt him, how could they miss with such great odds against him? Jack tried for an apple, but was smacked in the face with a Sharpedo fin. The Sharpedo wasn't even trying! They were just trying to fit comfortably in the barrel. Even they were no longer too happy about their situation.

Eon Dunk, bite, avoid painful death, repeat. That was all there was to this game, all that Eon felt like he was doing. He was soaked and his jaw was growing tired from widening so much and he really hoped that they would call endgame soon. How much longer did they expect him to keep this up? Stop thinking, keep acting; that was all he could do. Arceus he was tired of this. With a deep breath, Eon snapped his teeth at an apple and successfully bit into it, sucking in some of the juice and swallowing it as he pulled back and dropped it with the others in the bucket. He was almost non-responsive to the teeth snapping after him by now. Then suddenly another fin popped to the surface. Six. Arceus, they were multiplying by the minute. He had to wonder why it happened to him, there were clearly others who were doing better than he was. What had he done to deserve this?Apples: 14 Sharpedo: 6

Jack heaved a small sigh, and tried to focus his energy. If he was going to beat this rather large amount of Sharpedo, he needed to stay calm and cool and relatively quick. He knew his speed was dwindling, more because he was really starting to feel hungry and thirsty now. He looked over at Aku, and gave her a wink. He felt good, confident, and he was sure he looked good. Then again...wasn't he in costume...? Right....so he probably doesn't look as good as he thinks, he realized. He shook it off, it didn't matter, all that matter was another apple. He turned to face the barrel, and put his head over the edge. He scanned the water, which was constantly in a bit of a fit now, constantly moving apples. He decided to do a random, and just dunked with his mouth open. All he got was water as he returned to the surface, which he promptly spit out. He wasn't about to drink Sharpedo pee! Losers.

Eon After all this awful luck with the Sharpedo, Eon was just about ready to quit. He was so tired, he felt as though his jaw had become unhinged from its socket and he was so wet that he felt like the water had sunk into his very bones. Wearily the Pikachu rested on the side of the barrel, eyes trailing to the water when he realized something. It was shaking about violently, very violently. He looked across the water to the fins and found the Sharpedo thrashing violently about, biting at one another ferociously and not paying him any attention. The last time this had happened he'd managed to get an apple so maybe he'd get one again if he was quick and they didn't pay him any attention still. Warily, the Electric Type bent down, sinking his teeth into the apple and pulling it out of the water, only one Sharpedo paid him any mind but before it could come toward him it was bitten by one of its comrades and whirled back around, teeth flashing. Pleased by his success, Eon tried again and again and again. Four times tried, four times succeeded; four more shining apples added to the basket. A bright smile light Eon's features and he felt the energy come back to him again. Maybe, with luck like that, he could still have a chance. Apples: 18 Sharpedo: 6 ((OMG 77))

Jack inhaled, and exhaled slowly. Keeping all of his nerves down and trying to keep happy thoughts in his mind. However, when he opened his eyes, another Sharpedo had been released into the tank. How could this even happen? So many Sharpedo in his barrel. He growled and grumbled and in spite slammed his head into the water. Of course, he forgot to grab any apples while he was doing this strange act of aggression. Aku patted him on the back and reassured him,
"Very brave of you, to keep bobbing with all of these Sharpedo. You sure you don't want to call it quits?"
Jack shook his head, of course he didn't wanna call it quits! He was going to keep going until he couldn't go no more!

Eon
The Sharpedo were still squabbling amongst themselves though the fight had died down a bit now. Eon watched from the side as they fought, taking a breather after the sudden burst of energy that he'd used to get the number of apples he had before. They were fearsome creatures indeed, cruel enough to even fight amongst themselves. It was really awful to watch them destroy themselves, especially to such a Pokemon as Eon, who was a pacifist. Still though, it wasn't as though he could change it. Supposedly it was the natural order of things, some Pokemon were destined not to get along with each other no matter what. With a sigh, Eon leaned down toward the water, hovering toward an apple that was a bit far from his reach but going for it anyway. It was a foolish mistake and not a Sharpedo that kept him from getting it, his bite sliding off the side of the apple and sending it splashing away from him. Eon righted himself and froze, staring out at the Pokemon in the barrel only relaxing when he found them to be unaffected. That could have been bad if the Sharpedo had heard. He bent down once more toward the errant apple and snatched it up in his teeth. Slow and steady, slow and steady.Apples: 19 Sharpedo: 6 (( Thanks, it was really lucky ^ ^;; ))

With the encouragement from Aku, Jack felt a bit better. When he dunked his head down, he was able to retrieve two apples, instead of one. Why was encouragement from Aku the best thing in the world for him? It always resulted in only good. It must've put him in a place he couldn't put himself into....right? He didn't care,he added the two apples to the pile. He didn't want to think too much on it, he wanted the good to stay.

Eon With the Sharpedo so sufficiently distracted, Eon was finally having a bit of success with this game. It was a good deal easier when you weren't trying to escape with your life at stake. He was almost calm when he dunked his head into the water, taking his time to grab an apple securely for the first time since the first Sharpedo had shown up. He felt his bite connect with satisfaction and bit down hard but not hard enough to take a bite out of the apple and lose it. He gently pulled back and stood up once more, coming out of the water without disturbing it anymore than it already was, and dropped the apple down into the basket. He didn't know how many this was but he could see that the pile was getting very large indeed and felt a hint of satisfaction. He was surely in the running for a place in this competition by now.Apples: 20 Sharpedo: 6
