Landry slid out from under Chrono like Indiana Jones escaping the temple with his hat. He'd try and grab hold of Chrono's left arm and wrap it around his throat, holding his other arm by the elbow to keep him in place. If he got that far, he'd lean over and whisper into Chrono's ear...
"Now Die..."
And finally attempt his American Neck-Tie to try and finish him off.

Before Chrono could react to Landry's words, he was taken down by the innovative cutter of sorts. Now near the ropes, he laid on the mat motionless.

Landry rolled over and hooked the leg as the crowd started going CRAZY! It seemed he had finally out maneuvered him, and was at last taking back his son!

The crowd roared with approval, but Chrono being the dastardly villain that he is slipped his hand under the bottom rope unbeknownst to the ref.

Mike's eyes shot wide open as the bell rang and he burst to his feet, arms raised as all the pain of the match seemed to fade away in an instant. He had finally pinned him, and that meant his son was coming home with his father. Landry's music rang out and tears dripped down his face, he couldn't believe he had finally done it. The ref raised his hand, but there was some concern. The ref went over to Chrono and noticed where his arm was, and began waving it off.
Landry approached the ref who was telling the time keeper to restart the match. The bell rang and Mike instantly confronted him, grabbing him by the collar.
"No! No! I won! You rang the bell! Its over! You can't do this!"
The referee refused to hear Landry's arguements, simply shaking his head and shrugging, pointing to the ropes.

Chrono got up as Landry was arguing with the ref. His face had a tormented look on it, Chrono felt rage built inside of him and he instantly made a grab at Landry attempted to spin him around and Chokebomb him into oblivion!

After everything that had happened, it was the REFEREE that caused Landry to finally lose focus. Landry was grabbed, went up, and went down in one swift movement, seemingly knocking him out cold near the ropes.

Chrono of course chose this move because he had been working on Landry's back the whole night and now there was that decisive moment where Chrono could inflict more damage on Landry, he however decided that he had another match tonight..
Chrono went for the pinfall.

Landry's spine was tingling from that last maneuver, and he didn't feel he had the power within him to move a shoulder up. In his dazed state, he moved a foot over to the rope as the referee counted.
"1...2...3!"
The ref didn't see that either! Landry was counted out...

'Paint it Black' began to fill the arena, as Chrono's hand was raised in victory to an ocean of boos, it was evident he cheated to win against Landry in Landry's own match but it didn't matter. Chrono was victorious.
Here is your winner, The WWFG Undisputed Champion, Chrono Clepsydra. Chrono couldn't help but sneer at the fact he outsmarted Landry and the wrestling marks who slated that Landry would win this match.
Chrono was handed his titles and slipped out of the ring where he exhaustedly caught up with Athena. "I told you, I'd beat him.." he said as he began to embrace her as the audience was definitely not pleased as their hero Mike Landry was not victorious.
It was quite an end to a spectacular match, and that was just the start of WWFG Survivor of the Cage...

Phoenixfire had kept a careful distance from the ring after she had come face to face with Landry, not wanting to subject herself to being caught in the cross-hairs of the father of her son regardless of the outcome of the match. She could feel herself begin to tremble with emotion as the tide of the match kept turning more and more in favor of Landry and the loss of her child seemed to become ever more certain. However, her fears were quickly abated when Landry's hopes of victory vanished as the referee declared Landry's pin wasn't successful because her husband's hand had been under the rope. Phoenix watched with bated breath those tense moments following the resumption of the match until Chrono seized the victory. She threw caution to the wind the moment the bell rung and made haste so she could arrive at ringside by the time her husband was declared the victor. Phoenix reveled in her husband's embrace despite the air of dissatisfaction that arose from the crowd around them.
"I know, I know...I was just so scared there towards the end. For Matthias and for us. I'm glad that I don't have to be now."

Landry's concsiousness regained, he placed his hands on his forhead as he realized what had just happened. The ref, for one reason or another, didn't see his foot on the ropes and this match was over. His last shot to get back his son, and it was ripped away from him once again. The tears of joy turned to tears of heartache as he pulled on his hair, cursing himself for allowing this to happen.
He climbed the ropes to get back to his feet, holding his lower back as each movement caused tormentous pain to surge through his spine. The ref had already bailed out, and he had a good idea why. Then he saw Athena and Chrono celebrating their tainted win, and it made his blood boil. He knew he beat Chrono fair and square, and he wasn't going to let this be the end of his quest to get his son back.
Landry rushed forward, trying to take Chrono down and batter him with hammer fist after hammer fist.

Chrono smirked as he moved out of the way from Athena, and allowed Landry to take him down. He brought the microphone closer to himself, because what he was about to do he wanted everyone to hear, and that was laugh.
Chrono laughed sinisterly like a villain who's master plan worked and the hero had been vanquished. With each blow Landry hit him with, it made Chrono feel more and more alive. Chrono then motioned with to the camera man to get a zoom in.
"Heh.. Heh.. Ooooooooh Lannnnnndraaaaaaaayyy.. I won... Beat you in you're own match.. But guess what.. We're not done... Nooooooot by a looooong shot..."
Chrono said with an excited grin, blood dripping down his mouth.. He was positive that Landry would stop hitting him long enough to hear what he had to say.
"I'm not satisfied in beating you like this, no no... I want more, I want you to suffer like Athena did.. At the Royal Rumble... We're gonna go again.. You win, you get visitation rights on alternate weekends. I win.. The one last thing you've got, I'm taking.. Your career.."
Chrono said as his eyes lit up at the sheer joy of taking the career of Mike Landry.. "But you chose the match this time, and I bested you at it.. I think it's my turn now.." Chrono said pointing to the stage, several stage hands were wheeling out a casket.
"When I beat you at the Royal Rumble.. Not only will I be placing YOU in a Casket, but once that coffin's lid is closed... Your career and hopes of seeing your child are dead... Just... Like... Your... BEST FRIEND'S DOG!"
Chrono laughed menacingly despite the fact that Landry most likely would deck him after saying something like that, he didn't care. He knew that he got to Landry whether he'd like to admit it or not..

Landry heard Chrono's proposal for the re-match, and he had to say it lifted his spirits to have another match. He'd do anything to get his son back, and if that ment sacrificing his career, it was well worth it. Landry reared back, glaring down at Chrono's battered and bruised face.
"Interesting...here's my counter offer."
And Landry threw down with all his force an elbow aimed dead on at Chrono's chin.

The smirk never left Chrono's face even after he was struck down with Landry's elbow rendering him unconscious.
