Painite watched and listened, taking notes and marking her thoughts, though she didn't air them. She kept tabs on Esperite and on her Lieutenants. Just in case.
She didn't know what was going on, but she did know that it wouldn't be going on unless the General Queen had designed it. She wasn't one prone to panic, and improv was a way of life with her. She could roll with the punches, even if they were strange and alarming.
Her glance flickered to Benitoite as he spoke, nodding slowly.
"You spoke to one? Well then, this is interesting," she said thoughtfully, a familiar smile curling the corners of her lips. There were plots to be had here. There was something complicated that needed doing. There was danger and there were certainly things she and the others wouldn't like. But that was what made up the best kind of plan, and she imagined it was what she was thinking of before.
She agreed with Serandite, and waited patiently enough.
"Stay calm. They're still visitors, if not intruders, and this is still in our realm. I doubt they'd come in here with any serious intention of surviving, unless it was for a reason and we provided them that chance. And anyway, The General Queen has already said as much. So..." She looked around at those closest to her, "keep your eyes open, but relax."
She grinned, winking at Beni, and anyone else who might be watching.

Dahlia indeed did not know of the Wiseman. Nor did she really know of Ares and the pain she'd inflicted. At least not on a personal level.. or a detailed one.. just words in passing in a line of history that barely phased her. Perhaps that was the reason she was not reacting as strongly as most.
It wasn't smart to question a General, especially not for someone so new. But Dahlia didn't always act upon 'smart instincts' and to be called out like that and chastized in a public setting.... Her eyes narrowed, ears pinned back as the light glimmered off of bared teeth.
"I take it you're questioning the General Queen then General."
"Anyone is capable of turning a new leaf whether you want to give them the benefit of the doubt or not." Her tail lashed even as her aggressive expression faded to something just mildly pissy. Taking personal insult, why yes, yes she was.
Attention turning from Uranophane towards the front of the room once more, she glowered from her place in Lyra's arms. Noone had to worry, Dahlia was entirely certain that as long as her and Masahiro were on the case nothing would be happening to any of their senshi. But then.. Uraophane probably didn't give a s**t about the 'senshi' portion of the group.

“Dahlia… unless you are fully aware of the deeds committed by these people I would very much restrain yourself from suggestions about ability to turn leaves. I will remind you that leopards are unlikely to change their spots. Everyone who is upset by this has a VERY good reason to balk at the very idea of what stands before us.”
He took a deep breath as he struggled not to turn to watch Wolframite who was doubtless taking this as hard as any of them, at least as hard as Uranophane and Tanzanite. Yet the now General Queen stood before them and presented this woman as an ally.
Were they to work ‘together’? How could he expect anyone to follow with her waiting as part of the ‘deal’ even with the high stakes involved? He must of course, the good of the kingdom, but that would be harder for those whom had suffered than for anyone else. How could he even hope to lead people through that when he’d never had to make that kind of sacrifice, when he hadn’t suffered as they did?
“I’m sure there are reasons, yet unknown to us that would lead to us accepting this Woman, even briefly as an ally to our cause. There must be something that benefits her or I do not doubt the gate would never have been removed… but perhaps we would all feel more confidant if we knew the terms of the arrangement.”

Sugilite had watched the mirror being revealed curiously, if anything could get her attention, it was an interesting enough new sight. Were they going to travel to space using a mirror? Nearly applauding as the reflections began to change in appreciation of the style, she was startled by the reactions of her comrades around her. Weapons were being drawn and orders were being shouted by some, while others just stood and watched intently. Surely they were not going to attack a mirror?
The people reflected in it mean nothing to Sugilite, figures out of the past to the others but new faces to her. Her ears strained to pick up on the conversation that had broken out all around her as she stretched up on tip-toe trying to figure out who these strangers were. Whatever was happening, it was much more interesting than the mild bickering that had been going on before.

Woframite felt rather confident that he knew by now why he fought. It justified giving up everything else. They were here to save the planet, to save their loved ones, and killing was only a minor sacrifice in the war to save everyone. What was one person, a nameless bum or thug or, in rare instances, even normal people, amounted to when it was helping to save billions upon billions of people. People died every day of freak accidents and pointless causes like drugs or drunk driving. Killing anyone in th end to get closer to saving everyone else made sense, and taking a life for that cause made that person, that sacrifice, die of something noble and grand instead of rotting away into old age and accomplishing nothing.
He would give his life for that cause just as easily as for those lives he took. It was just the power he was given that allowed him to be of better use or so he hoped.
For someone who would do and give anything, he didn't think there would be many exceptions to his dedication to do the job, but while few, there were. His pride for his planet, his side, this entire army, also created a great resistance to the enemy. He had hate in stock and then some for the senshi and the BMC, and killing them was high on his list. He felt he could do his entire force, especially Tanzanite, proud to kill their members aside. The only other senshi that rivaled that hatred was Castor.
Despite her regretting what she was about to do, he had no idea what they were prepared to see. His faith in Tanzanite was high, and he trusted her. In no way was he ready for her to pull the cover. The fabric slipped, and he felt excited despite the grim way the General-Queen had pulled the curtain. Something hidden always made him curious, and he leaned in just enough to see, before his breath caught in his throat. "....wait..." He whispered. Confused. Shocked. There was also that rolling dread that was being blocked by disbelief, but even then, it was rising in him. The impossible 'no' of what was going to happen.
A mirror.
He knew what mirrors meant. He had seen the Parallel Queen herself walk into one when he was just a lieutenant. He had seen Ares was into it just as many times. Mirrors meant the Blood Moon Court. Mirrors were a doorway, and that door was right here in the Rift. In their home.
His eyes shot up to Tanzanite's face but he couldn't catch her attention, and he looked around to everyone before looking back. This wasn't happening. This couldn't be happening.
The Youma Queen moved over, and reached, pulling the prison bars from the mirror and causing Wolframite to step forward, wanting to tell her to stop what she was doing but unable to speak. She was letting them in. They would walk in and kill them. She was letting them in.
The gate fell and there the mirror stood. It barely served as a mirror, just showing their reflections before that faded. Wolframite's heart was racing in his chest, and he continued to step back, nearly colliding into the officer behind him. His weapon was already in his hands, fingers white, before he even realized it was there. His features turned pale, and he felt the desire to teleport, but he worried that the BMC would come out and slaughter everyone.
Then Ares appeared, a portrait of his nightmares, silent in the ornate mirror.
"No. Nononono. Tanzanite, No!" He looked up at her, moving through officers but wary of getting too close to the mirror. "We can't do this. We can't! Remember what they did. You just told everyone!" He gestured to the entire collection of officers. "How can you refer to them and then bring them here? You can't allow this. You remember what they did to you. To us! They don't deserve to be here. You said they would be killed." She had promised it, hadn't she? That they would die by their hands.
They all break their promises. She....she was just like Linarite. The General had promised him that they would get revenge on Castor for what he had done, and last he heard, she was with him on there side. Now Tanzanite was letting Ares and their group here.
Where is the justice?
Why was it that every officer he looked up to never kept to their word?
He was shaking with frustration, and glared up at her. The pain was apparent in his eye. "We can't do this. We can't let them in here. What will we stand for if they are here?" How could he work for the Negaverse if they didn't have enough pride and allowed the BMC into their group?

Dahlias words had hit the senshi as hard, if not harder, than those around her as well. Involuntarily, Lyra found her breath quicken with her heart beat. She squeezed the cat in her arms if not a little tighter, looking down at the cat she held. Eyes seemed to try and pierce into the felines own pair, trying to find the meaning behind the words she just spoke.
It seemed the cat needed a slight history lesson, so she added on after Zinkenites words of everyone having their own reasons.
"Dahlia, you see that senshi up there with the long hair? The one whom Stands where our General queen just stood? That one, in particular, tried to kill me once. Would have succeeded too, without our general queens intervention." She paused, leaning down so only the senshi and closest to them could hear. "She was apparently, at one point my own leader." She bit her lip, feeling like she need not say more than that.
Looking up once more, she bore her eyes into the mirror... staring at it with a expression that would be hard to read if those surrounding her did not know her very well. It had traces of fear, anger, confusion.... most of all it was just rage. "THAT is why i do not trust that woman." Lyras own personal price in this matter, if this went the direction she was soon feeling it would go, would be keeping her own feelings of rage aside while following orders. Oh, and watching her own back all the while. No... she would never trust Ares.
Turning now, she listened to Wolfram... and could not help but also feel for him. He too had dealt with these senshi on a far more personal level...
From what it seemed, those raising their voices the loudest against this...alliance she guessed she would call it, had the deepest scars and grudges against them. Or so she had been told, she had yet to ask them personally.

Jarosite had been quiet through the whole conversation. He'd watched as Tanzanite had unveiled the mirror and the smoked winged senshi had stepped through. He had drawn his picks, but kept his hands inside his jacket pockets. He trusted Tanzanite out of a fear of the General-Queen. This senshi, even if she gave the same vibes as Tanzanite, almost sent fear through him.
He didn't care that she was "allied" with them. He didn't care as the cats bickered. He listed to one of the other Generals panic about the senshi, and didn't care.
All he felt was a stone cold fear that made his fists clench and his silver eyes widen with it. Fear rooted him to the spot and he reached out to latch onto his General in fear.
"That woman... that senshi... terrifies me, General..." he admitted quietly to her, the force of his grip on her arm a testament to his fear.
He did not want to work with this woman.
Not at all.

The choice to forge an alliance with the Negaverse had not been a difficult one for Princess Ares to make. When she felt the grip of Chaos flowing through her, it was as if she had been reborn. She certainly felt, in many ways, precisely that: a newborn chick just beginning to wander from the nest. For so many eons, she had followed Nehelenia blindly, never knowing that the curse of the White Moon Queen had perverted the very foundation of the parallel existence. They had been living a lie, a lie that had led the Court to do many things that hurt the progress of Chaos.
It was like waking up one morning and realizing your parents were strangers to you.
The energy of the Dark Brimstone Crystal crackled within her torch, permitting her to hold the flowing images of the Dark Mirror Court in a lingering state beneath the safety of the mirror. If the Negaverse did not react to her presence, she would have been surprised. Ares never expected this to be an easy alliance. In her opinion, the truly powerful ones never were. It was a constant jockeying for power.
Beyond that, the Princess new that her Court was still too small to fight against so many enemies. Aligning with the Negaverse now would be the cushion she needed to flesh out their ranks with warm bodies. Any negativity that came her way because of it was well worth the price. Still, Princess Ares emerged from the mirror first. If a fist was to be thrown, she would be the one to take it, no one else.
She was not there to hear the words of Sassolite, Lyra, Zinkenite, Bismuthite, Hematite, Uranophane, Chromite, Wolframite, or Jarosite -- those who reacted negatively -- or even Serandite, Fluorite, Alunite, Benitoite, Dahlia, Painite, Sugilite, who reacted with cool heads. She waited a few beats after the gate was lifted, and then the Princess of Smoke swept out of the mirror, bringing with her a cloud of dark gray air and the overwhelming chaotic aura only a royal senshi could possess.
Ares face was carved of marble, hardly reacting even with the tension thickening in the air with each passing second. She let it boil, let it rise. The only movement she made was to take another step forward, just in line with Tanzanite, and hold her torch at her side. "I did not expect happiness to see me in this place. That would be foolish. But I do expect warriors to understand the necessities of war." Her voice was not hard, just firm. There was no rage, or rebuke. She understood why they felt the way that they did. She just expected them to get over it quickly for the greater good.
"I cannot change what has happened in the past. I am not the sort of person who dwells on impossible situations. Before you existed in this life, I existed in another, as a regent of Chaos in the way that you, too, serve the side of Chaos. Queen Nehelenia led us in war against Serenity, and we lost." The words were bitter on her tongue. If only Nehelenia would have brought them all through the mirror back then... perhaps things would have ended differently. "When Serenity sent Nehelenia back to her Court through the mirror, she did so with a price -- a curse. She poisoned Nelehenia and all of us into believing we were born to serve Order. I lived that lie with the other Black Moon soldiers for far too long."
In her mind, Ares traveled back to the meetings of the Black Moon Court, how they discussed the corruption that had overtaken them, how they planned to rebuild themselves. It was all lies. It was all manipulation. If Ares saw Serenity now, she would rip her heart out and force her to eat it.
For now, she needed to tell the Negaverse this message -- a message that they could take or leave, knowing full well that Tanzanite had agreed to this alliance. "My actions in the past were done because of a curse on my people, a curse that I have since been liberated from. Instead of facing me on the opposite side of a battlefield, we now share a similar cause." Her mouth fell into a hard line. "I know this alone will not be enough for some people, so."
In a sweep of robes, Princess Ares disappeared through the mirror. She was gone for perhaps thirty seconds and then reappeared suddenly, clenching a handful of dirt in her hand. It spilled onto the floor at her feet. "This is dirt from the surface of Requiem." Ares lifted a heel and dragged into through the pile, scattering some closer to the Negaverse agents in the front row. "I may choose to go there at any time because of the resourcefulness of one of my court members. She left a mirror there for my travels, and now it is a doorway into space that I can access as freely as I did the one just behind me."
The ruler flicked another piece of dirt from her hands. "Requiem is a name you may be familiar with -- a senshi who once served Order. And now, through the power within my crystal, has been saved and brought to the true cause of Chaos." A clawed hand gestured to the lingering form of the Senshi of Burial floating in one of the mirror.
"Whatever harm I did to you in the past was because I was unaware that I was on the wrong side. I understand that this will cause... friction for many of you." Her eyes roved to a few faces. "But just as corrupted senshi now serve darkness, so do I. And my intention is to bring all senshi to our cause, to deliver Earth to the Negaverse -- and the Moon too, I have no desire to wallow in the stink of that princess -- and the Dark Parallels will return to outer space to rebuild the lives that were taken from us."
Princess Ares straightened. "In the name of Chaos." There was nothing else for her to say, not now.

Hiro froze when their new 'allies' were revealed. Senshi, sang the bright stars appearing in his head, a radiance eclipsing the human Negaverse members. Tried to hurt Alkaid, another part of his mind warned. Indeed, Hiro remembered all too well the rescue attempt led by Zinkenite against this woman and the deadly team of senshi she led. He and Alkaid had both taken part, and though Hiro had been just newly arrived to Destiny City and didn't have the same emotional ties to the captives, he recalled with clarity the wounds inflicted on those who survived... and the faces of those who had not been so lucky.
A rub against Alkaid's leg, a loud purr of reassurance, and Hiro was snaking his way forward through the crowd. He ignored the ravings and reasonings that went on above his head. Closer to Ares now, Hiro tilted his face up to study the newly upgraded version of a senshi he'd previously seen across a giant battlefield.
"Definitely corrupted," he said, mostly to himself. That didn't make this woman trustworthy, by any means, but it did lessen the chances of a trap. Ares might not care if hundreds of Negaverse officers fell in battle, but perhaps she wouldn't be the one killing them. Perhaps.
Her plan was of interest. Space! Hiro wanted to go. For all that he was loyal to the Negaverse, he knew he wasn't from this planet and he ached to see others. Maybe somewhere would be more familiar, more like home... well, a secondary home, since Alkaid was always first in that regard.
"I can't complain about having more senshi on our side," he decided. "Whether they will keep their word, and this agreement to leave Earth to the Negaverse, remains to be seen. It's senseless to argue about it now, though."
Besides Ares, Hiro spotted at least three other senshi in the mirror. No trace of a cat, though. With a flick of his tail, he announced to Ares, "If you need the services of a Mauvian, let me know. The more senshi that survive when our side wins, the better. Of course," he added, "if anyone from your side goes after my kids? You'll find out just how dangerous a Mauvian can be."
It probably seemed like an empty threat. He was a cat, after all. What could he do, scratch them? Fire a headlaser that would have him out of commission, too? But Mauvians and senshi had a special bond. Ares' group might find it harder without someone to assist in levelling up, or awakening new recruits - not impossible, mind, just harder. Not to mention, Hiro had the trusting ear of several senshi and a Knight or two - the right information in the right ear and Ares' senshi would have a fight on all sides.
...Not that Hiro had any intention of doing any of that. He was willing to give Ares the benefit of the doubt. Service to Chaos meant a blank slate - his own senshi weren't judged on their previous actions. As much as Hiro wanted to keep blaming Ares for the kidnapping and torture of Negaverse officers, he supposed that she deserved the same consideration.
And besides. A friendly, or at least amiable, cat on the inside? Who knew what sorts of valuable knowledge Hiro could pick up for Tanzanite and the Negaverse.

"******** the fairly level tone, General Hematite was practically frothing at the mouth. Serandite’s conflicting order had insulted him, certainly, but it was nothing compared to this. He may not have been in a state to help rescue the hostages some months ago, but he’d heard plenty about the effort, and the fights, and he knew what these senshi were capable of. They were the quintessential enemy of the Negaverse. Wild-eyed, incredulous, the only thing that had stopped him from interrupting Ares as she made her entrance was his sheer disbelief at the unfolding events. He refused to address the senshi ruler, barely giving her a direct glance. He let his eyes roll off of her as though she were no more interesting, no more important, than what she had just thrown on the ground. Instead he addressed the crowd of Negaversers from within the middle, casting his dark eyes around the mixed expressions. "She brought dirt. Wow, guys. That proves everything! Of course we can take her word for it that she had to run all the way out to outer space for that! Because you know we don't have piles and piles and loads of dirt just lying around Earth or anything. What a liar."
"We," he made a sweeping gesture at the army, turning toward Tanzanite, "are at war with the senshi. According to you, General-Queen, they destroyed and cursed the city we're all ******** standing in right now! And oh, you didn't bring just any senshi here. You brought Sailor Ares and her band of short-skirted gorillas. How dare you insinuate the Blood Moon trash have any honor - any integrity - any use but to be cut down immediately! You try to put our lives in the hands of senshi who want us dead, because you have what, you’ve forgiven them with your great big youma heart? Has Wolframite? It didn’t sound like it. Daring to imagine they have the ability to keep their word, what happens when we let them loose into space afterward, how long before Earth is in the same position as before, subjugated by these bloodsucking aliens and this new sadistic Serenity of theirs? Did you think about that, General-Queen? We can crush the Zodiacs now, and these mirror bitches will rise up in their place.”
He stood there, taking a few deep breaths to make up for how much he’d been all but bellowing. He still gripped the sword like it was the only thing keeping him alive through this outburst. It seemed like most of his energy was spent, but there was still that flame of insanity burning in his eyes betraying him. He’d stopped yelling, but his voice carried in the uncomfortable silence.
"Stay, if you want to put your safety in their hands. See where it gets you. I refuse to have any part in this bullshit 'alliance'. I haven’t forgotten who the real enemy is."
He turned away from the Youma Queen and cast a glance around for familiar faces in the crowd, anyone he could even possibly win over with his angry appeal. He made brief eye contact with a few before he swept out of the crowded throne room, hoping they’d see sense. As for the rest, well, it was their choice what to do. He had a sinking feeling that rational thought had long since been discarded.

It was difficult for the Lieutenant to keep up with the proceedings. The woman with the cracked skin gave her planet to Chaos? His eyes found their way back to her as he tried to fit the pieces together, ignorant of exactly what a Senshi was and what they represented.
She had a planet. Did that make her a princess? Or did she just own it? How were they supposed to get there? Ajoite’s eyes roved around the chamber. The Rift itself looked low-tech. He doubted they had a rocket here. Space ship? Maybe.
His attention was caught, redirected as Howlite spoke. He fully agreed with her, inclining his head in a nod of unspoken agreement. It was clear to him that the current discussion was far out of his league. He had no place here, standing among them. All he knew of the Negaverse was his duty to collect energy; their past war, current war with the senshi, and the current talks of space went over and beyond what he knew.
Tanzanite’s response to Howlite made him scowl and roll his eyes. So much for that. More and more he felt like he was there for the sake of forming an audience. His eyes drifted to the ceiling, searching for something, anything that read APPLAUSE or any sort of audience cue. None? Hm.
The lieutanent lacked the urge to ooh or ahh or even gasp in astonishment as the General-Queen revealed the large mirror. The wrought-iron drew a quizzical look before the mirror itself caught his attention, their reflections fading.
He had no idea what prompted their reactions of shock, rage, and disbelief. Or even detached indifference. General Hematite’s order was followed automatically, his hands leaving his pockets to summon forth his tether-ball. He ignored General Serandite’s counter-order, preferring to have something in his hands. Even if it was as silly and useless as a playground toy.
When Ares stepped through, Ajoite let his weapon fade away into nothing. That was it? It was difficult to comprehend her power just by looking at her: she certainly did not look like much. He was reminded of a video game character, and was more than willing to write her off as nothing more than a ridiculously dressed character. But the eyes were deceivers. There was something about her that made him want to look away, to not be noticed by the Something that felt similar yet different, but still rather dangerous. It was a feeling he couldn’t pin down, a sensation that as a fledgling lieutenant he had not yet learned to listen to and use to his advantage.
Ares’ words and -- was that dirt. Seriously? Ajoite raised an eyebrow as Ares explained herself. Her looks, actions, and words contradicted the aura he was unable to fully read from her. Was she really that dangerous? Did she really warrant the reaction her image caused among the other ranks?
This entire thing was ridiculous. He had no place here. Lieutenant Ajoite turned and followed General Hematite’s lead out of the meeting, seizing the opportunity to leave while he could. Ajoite cared little for the politics that were going on: he merely had enough.

General Hematite didn't get as far as he might have liked. Ares pumped her wings in a sudden rush, leaping high into the air. She landed beside the Negaverse officer, grabbed him forcibly by pinning both arms behind his back, and then rocketed back into the air with a buffet of wings. The two spiraled like a rocket across the room, disappearing through the mirror.
They were gone for about 45 seconds.
The mirror wavered again, and Princess Ares emerged, her hand now gently gripping Hematite's wrist. There was a bleeding cut on her forearm, though its cause was unknown. "General Hematite," she said, voice cold, "how did you enjoy your first visit to outer space?"
Her eyes avoided Tanzanite's. The General-Queen would not be pleased at her actions, but Ares assumed she would understand them. Hematite said many unacceptable things. This was the best way Ares saw to deal with it, at least for the safety of the alliance.
"I can take anyone else who doubts what I am saying. I have no need for Earth or the Moon, but you would be fools not to consider the possibility of a doublecross. I understand that." Her gray eyes flashed with fire. "But you need the Dark Mirror Court, whether you choose to accept it or not -- this is mutually beneficial alliance. A strategist can see that. An emotional teen would ignore it."
Her voice receded back. This was Tanzanite's meeting, but Ares would not be disgraced. She could not allow herself to be spoken to that way. It sent a message of weakness.

Her mouth suddenly dry as she listened, causing the senshi licked her lips before settling in, just to hear the story. It was just after the winged senshi had walked through the mirror, but that single second felt as if it took eternity. She felt herself take a step back, not exactly caring who noticed her attempt to put more distance between herself and the princess senshi. She would be a fool to deny that she was afraid of Ares.
The senshis words were sweet. She claimed to have no interest in the earth, claimed to only want to go back to the way things supposedly were. Herself and her kin in the stars, fueled by chaos. Claiming that the moon princess had poisoned her bloodline, her court. Which, as Lyras own trust of the moon princess was enough to slip poison in her wine glass too, Ares's words might have very well been true. Maybe for a time Ares was brain washed, perhaps her actions were the cause of this 'curse' as she said.
Did that excuse all of her actions, in Lyras opinion? HELL no.
The blood moon court, which the woman in front of ran and which she herself used to be a part of apparently, was a thorn in the dark kingdoms side since the first breath of the idea was spoken. It was a time of hardships, where two power houses were against each other. Sure the Negaverse was still against senshi as a whole the entire time, but the blood moon was like... apparently a court within enemy lines, as she was told. Sort of the rogue element that ended up being a larger thorn than the picture over all. A thorn shaped like a dagger, that the winged senshi before them had dug and dragged ever deeper into the sides of every officer within this room.
It was something not easily forgotten. While granted, this was all things Lyra had heard and seen the results of, it was still not so easily tossed aside. Those she cared for were harmed by the people standing before them. She could feel it, the chaos within the senshi before them was similar to her own. Did Lyra think that made them kin? Did this make her trust them more? No.
Lyra too had done horrible things when she was of the white moon. Things she had not yet allowed herself to forgive. She only knew of the bits and pieces that she was told... what else she had done could only be left up to the imagination. She herself had yet to be forgiven for those horrible deeds, it was something even now she was working on. If Ares truly expected such a quick turn about, to be forgiven? She was sorely mistaken.
Lyra noticed the turning of the officers as they left the room, words spoken ringing off the walls as the small group left... only to be stopped in a blink of an eye, and a rustling of wings. Lyras lips were dry once more as she watched, Oh yeah... she was afraid of this woman. Would she show it? Try not to. After all, why should you not be afraid of someone whom once almost succeeded in killing you. That knowledge made her feel shameful, it would need to be something to work on.
What had her interest now, was the fact that Tanzanite... someone whom herself had ordered Lyra to go hunt, and try and kill Ares, was now telling them of this partnership. Was Tanzanite fooled? No... it could never be that. Their general queen struck her as a woman whom knew what she was doing, so why the change of heart? Were they really losing the war so much that it required both Ares and Tanzanite to side with each other? Last time Lyra saw the two together, they were like two dogs at each others throats.
She guessed a saying she heard once was true.... The enemy of my enemy, is my friend. Or in this case, ally.
For now Lyra chose not to speak. She would listen and wait... listening never killed anyone. Though she knew one truth: While they might be allied... Lyra would not trust these new senshi enough to sleep in the same room as them, let alone the same building.

Had Bismuthite any power or sway over anything, the moment Ares made an aggressive move or laid a hand on a fellow Negaverse soldier there would have been blood. That was not the way you tried to win people, people who detested you already, over. In fact, the moment Ares made to move on General Hematite, the captain took one quick step towards the two, but stopped himself.
Why? Well, there were two kinds of fear that marked his trepidation; Fear of the much more powerful being, and fear that he would be acting alone and make a fool of himself. Also he, like Hematite, had been skeptical. Dirt proved nothing. He wasn't eager to get a first class trip to space, however.
What was left of his foolish pride he would very much like too keep, thank you very much.
Instead, he followed the rise of Ares and Hematite into the air, and then to the mirror where both disappeared. His gaze then turned, wide-eyed and fierce, to their General Queen, as if expecting her to do something. Was not this action proof that they were not truly interested in becoming allies? Not that Bismuthite wanted anything to do with them anyway. Besides seeing them all dead. 'Allies' or not.

Jack had never been an especially attentive student. During assemblies in Hillworth's gymnasium he liked sitting in the back, as far away from the presenter as possible, where it was least likely that one of the teachers would end up catching him in the midst of a dream.
For Proustite, this meeting had started out not unlike that.
It was just another chore. Just another obligation in an ocean of excess routine. He took little pains to disguise the fact that he didn't want to be there, and spent most of his time picturing everybody else in their underwear.
And then Tanzanite pulled the veil away from that mirror.
Everything changed.
His attention was as captured as Hematite's wrath and Wolframite's horror. Something electric glistened in those brown eyes, and it was impossible to tell whether that glint was approving or not. Proustite did not flinch or gasp when the reflection in the mirror took on Princess Ares's likeness.
He did summon his weapon, with a casual wave of his hand, and did his best to look tough standing there, fingers coiled tightly around that damned hula hoop.
This was an interesting, and unexpected turn of events.
His disdain may not have been readily obvious, but it was also real. Proustite's lips pressed into a tight line, and he did not speak. Tanzanite had said this was not up for dispute. Proustite wasn't a fool. He was only a Lieutenant, fond of keeping his head on his shoulders, and content to let his superiors deal with the politics. Let somebody else get bitchslapped for their impudence.
When the time came, Proustite's alleigance lay with Hematite, whom he was following quietly out of the room when Ares seized the General. His lips curled into a snarl, fear for a friend clouding his own instinct for survival. Proustite whirled on his heel, cheeks flushing with anger, and glanced sideways at Ajoite.
Only when Ares and Hematite returned did he relax. He noted the cut on her arm, and was smug. This was a small victory, but a victory nonetheless.
Ares bled.
