Actually they issued a press release today saying they are "ceasing publication." A true shame...I hope they finish out the War Within volume 3 atleast...

There's no word yet, though companies are already pursuing the license, and there are murmurings that they may even hire James and Adam to write...we shall see.

I think Devil's Due might would be nice...I've enjoyed their takes on the Crossovers between the Joes and TF.

Where did you hear DDP got the license? All I've read is that they submitted some art by Don Figueroa as part of their pitch for the license.

I'm not sure how I feel about Devil's Due taking up the reigns of the Transformers narrative licence, as I personally didn't find a much merit in their 'G.I.Joe vs. Transformers' offerings - I found the story to be rather immature in the telling, and the artwork didn't exactly inspire. Apologies to anyone involved, but that's my personal view on things. But if they're sticking to what was intended for release through Dreamwave, then I'd happily support that, at least. I'm personally very interested in seeing how the last three instalments of 'The War Within: Age of Wrath' shape up, as well as the Quintesson/female Autobot story-arc that was being set up in the G1 ongoing series. I was also rather looking forward to the three 'Energon: More Than Meets the Eye' guide books, and the proposed 'Datatracks' Optimus Prime/Ultra Magnus special. Hopefully all of these will eventually see the light of day, in the format that they were always intended to be released. We can only hope...

Well what I though was a press release was just a rumor. I really hope Dark Horse doesn't get them. I didn't like how they did GIJOE Extreme.

Hi guys,
Right now, I'm enjoying 3H Productions' take on the Beast Wars/Machines storyline (which finally reached my comic book store recently even though they were published last year) than Dreamwave's current releases.

She's talking about the Transformers Universe line from 3H that was done through the Official Transformers Collector's Club, not about something DreamWave did. DreamWave did have a Beast Wars planned but it was cancelled when they capsized.

Yeah, I've started collecting the old Transformers: Universe stuff, too; not sure if I like it much, but it serves its purpose of breaking the narrative drought. It's early days yet, however, so it might still pick up for yours truly. I hope something new comes out from somebody soon, though...
