"Very good. Lastly, you said fire element so Warmth is the skill you can learn," Kimmi said. "Then we can get you moving on a mission."
Warmth Rank: E Description: You create a warming glow within your body. This is useful when in very cold places but does little else.

Slowly, her gaze lifted up to the sky briefly before she nodded. Her attention was immediately grabbed by the mention of a mission and if she had a tail, she would have been wagging it excitedly. Green hair tumbled down over her shoulder as she rolled her neck to focus on her next skill, Warmth. Just below the surface, she reached out to her inner flame, the inner fire that burned within her core. Leifang felt a strange, warming sensation flow through her chest and out towards her limbs as if she had drank a cup of hot chocolate. The feeling swirled around just under her skin, stretching out to her fingertips and toes like branching arms of a tree made of sunlight. She smiled again, this time more in awe and comfort than excitement.
"That felt great! What now?" she asked as the heat began to fade. Thankfully, the air wasn't too chilly after using her ability. Her skin settled back to normal as she waited patiently for her teacher to continue. After all, she was promised a mission, wasn't she? Did Kimmi have one personally or did she have to quest around for such a thing? She wasn't sure what to expect when she hardly had anything under her belt in terms of abilities. However, an itching idea perked up from the back of her mind that said it was probably not as thrilling as she wanted...

"As for your mission, it's just going to be a simple information gathering. Head for Wormwood to the south. We've been hearing talk that someone is violently converting people down there. We'll need to know what we're facing before we can send any aid to the people afflicted."

Leifang smiled behind her mask. Information gathering? Sounds like my kind of mission! She nodded slowly to Kimmi, knowing her expression was unreadable. "Excellent. I can do that." She paused, starting to pace very slowly along the training's clearing. "Wormwood? I don't know much about that area. Is there a place I can gather information about Wormwood before I go there?" She stopped walking and faced her teacher, crossing her arms. "And who should I report to after my mission? I'm assuming I'll have as much time as I need to assess the situation on the vague terms." The kakurenbo wondered why she was being trusted with such a mission when she hardly had been in Ernya for a while. Then again, a new face unaffiliated with any place as of yet was very useful for this sort of mission. Especially if she wanted to prove her worth.

Kimmi smiled. "You'll report to me once you return. Any information you need can be gained from Lady Liliana's adviser at the palace. You'll be given a reasonable amount of time but should you take too long, we'll assume your capture or death and send someone to find you."

The kakurenbo noted the details she was given. Interrogate--er, I mean, ask Lady Liliana's adviser for information on Wormwood, get back quickly, and report back to Kimmi. She smiled again at the last statement. "Well that's comforting! I hope they are useful reinforcements." She turned her head to look behind her, on the path that lead out of the Cresting Woods. "I should be off then." Leifang gave a small bow, stretching out her arms to the side politely. "Thank you for teaching me. That was some brilliant stuff I learned." Her hidden grin stretched wide but her happiness easily showed in her tone. At once, in a swift movement, she turned on her heels while rising from her bow gracefully before dashing off out of the woods.

Soft, crunching noises could be heard as a pair of antivan leather boots crushed the soft leaves underfoot. Sama'el had been walking through Ernya for sometime now in search of these particular training grounds. The aristocratic looking vampire had asked many people on the way which way the grounds was, and they had all pointed in a variety of directions. At first, he suspected everybody had no idea what the ******** they were talking about. But when he got to the training grounds he had found that it was not confusion, but simply a matter of how colossal the training space actually was. everywhere, as far as the eye could see, were large trees and flowers in bloom from the passing spring. With his vampyric enhanced hearing, Sama'el could hear the squirrels in the trees, the birds chirping, and much else. But there was one thing he could not hear that slightly troubled him-- people. He couldn't hear voices, the clash of metal on metal, and so many other things you expected to hear at a training camp. perhaps this was due to the fact that everybody was gone on missions. Or maybe recruitment rate was low. Either way, I suppose this'll be easier to find a teacher that's not busy with a million students. Sama'el mused to himself as he fingered the pommel of the warhammer on his left hip. The warrhammer looked colossal on the hip of the rather slim vampire, and the sight was rather comical combined with the long spear on his back, but he could swing it about like most people could swing a branch of wood. It was one of the perks of being a vampire, he supposed. He shook his raven black hair from his face and searched the grounds for a trainer with narrowed bloodred eyes.

Farther down the path, one with keener hearing could hear the growl of arguing. "I can't spare any of my upper ranks to help on the southern boundary. There's no way we can watch the city with that few a number." "And you're telling me your hunters are more important than my gunners, who watch Industry Town to ensure we have strong enough weapons to protect the land with?!" "I don't care how thin you THINK you'll be. I need those hunters AND gunners in position should our allies to the south need us. No compromise!" The third voice seemed to have the most authority to it as they bickered back and forth.

Further off in the distance, Sama'el could make out the faint sound of arguing far off in the distance of the woods. A grin spread across the regal vampire's face as he realized that if he headed in that direction he would find the training he was looking for. He took off deeper into Ernya's forest training grounds, his black antivan leather boots not making the slightest sound as they passed over the leaves. If somebody would have inclined to watch the young vampire, they would have been shocked. Even with the weight of the weaponw and armor on him, he was running practically twice as fast as a normal human running butt naked could have ever hoped to run. Within seconds, the blur of Sama'el came to a stop as he reached the source of the shouting and commotion. "Excuse my interruption, but I am Sama'el. by any chance do any of you ladies and gentleman happen to teach warriors? And perhaps even vampire skills?" he said in a rather formal tone. Usually, he would offer a handshake. But since there were so many of them, the aristocratic vampire decided that a bow would suffice and did just that, putting his arm in front of him and bending at the waist, his long raven black hair drifting over his shpulders for a moment before he righted himself, standing straight back up. As he did so his bloodred gaze passed over everybody there, and he wondered who would deign to be his instructor.

A Fallen, a tattooed human, and a regular human turned to look at the newcomer. Not one batted an eye at the weapons the boy carried, decking in impressive arrays themselves. "Who knows where Kimmi went?" the human asked the other two. The one with tattoos shrugged as the fallen cleared his throat. "I believe it's her day off today, Alpha." The human sighed and looked at the vampire. "Clartis. Epiphany. You're dismissed." The other two saluted her and left the clearing, both giving the new guy sympathetic looks. "So, you need training and our main teacher is off today. Guess I'll be teaching you then. So a vampire warrior. What's your element?"

Sama'el eyed the tattooed human and the fallen. He had always happened to have a grudge against fallen, as it was a fallen paladin that had slain his precious Ana. However, with his recent amnesia, Sama'el couldn't even remember the grudge. As the two of the fighters turned to leave Sama'el inclined his raven haired head at each of them, his crimson gaze passing over each of them. He then turned his eyes to the last remaining fighter, the one that was to be his trainer. "I have always happened to be partial to the fire element..." The royal loooking vampire said to his instructor after a moment. "Though if you don't mind, i'd rather learn my bloodline skills before an attempt at elemental skills." Sama'el said, his fangs sliding free from his gums as he said so. They were actually a pretty gruesome sight. Most vampires had evolved, their fangs long and thin and syringe like for better penetration. Sama'el however, was a primeval type of vampire. His fangs were long, jagged, thick and almost bear like and were used for stabbing and shredding. They were only out of his gums for a moment however, before the vampire retracted his fangs, leaving his canine teeth looking only slightly elongated.

"Well, our normal teacher will have to teach you the bloodline things. We haven't had a vampire in Ernya in a very long time so we have none to directly teach you." The "Alpha" picked up her styled broadsword and leveled at the vampire. "I don't teach like Kimmi. You prove yourself as others in the Lady's Guard has to." Her body shifted, becoming more aggressive in appearance. "What's your name student? Because I'll need to know who is under my blade." she barked, a second later charging the young man.

There was a brief glitter of annoyance in Sama'el's eyes for a moment as the guardian of the forest asked for his name. I sometimes forget the ignorance of humans. I suppose I will allow him to make me repeat myself, just this one time. the arrogant vampire thought to himself. "My name is Sama'el." He said, before he saw the muscles twitch in the other warriors legs. He had been a warrior for thousands of years, and the movements of the slightest muscles could tell him where his opponents would move. As the warrior charged him, he drew his collosal heavy warhammer out of his belt as easily as somebody might draw a Katana. The vampire warrior wielded it in one hand, having the strength to do so. His legs were spread in a slight crouching stance, ready to take the charge head on. He was confident in his fighting abilities enough. (sorry for the shorter post, i'm having writers block.>_<)

SorceressJacklyn ((... So we're going with selective amnesia now?)) ((No, but you have to remember that he has been a warrior for thousands of years. Some natural fighting principles he would have practically ingrained into his memory. And vampires have fast reflexes. Sorry if i worded it to make it sound like he literally remembered that.xD))
