  Lili oooLichtenstein
Ninth Grader The Austrian Princess ~* Garden Club Member *~ Liechtenstein looked up in thought, allowing Alfred to eat, finally she said, "I just don't see it. Big Brother is too nice to be intimidating...." Then again, with all of the stuff she'd been through, maybe it was just her turning a blind eye to some of his habits. Siblings did that sort of thing, didn't they? It seemed normal enough to her.... After all, he was just protective of her.
Since he only seemed to be making himself more and more sad as they went on to discuss his issue with relationships, she figured that maybe there was something she could tell him that would help him patch up the relationship with Arthur. "Hey Alfred, about earlier.... It really hurt Arthur's feelings that you didn't trust him to help you. Maybe when we're out in town, you should get him some sort of treat from the cafe or something you know he'll like and apologize for not accepting his help. I know I don't really know him as well as you do, but I do know that if you don't apologize and try to show you do trust him, then you two are never going to get along... Besides, I doubt his magic is all that bad. Who knows? Maybe it's gotten better since the last time you saw him use it." She really hoped this gave Alfred some sort of silver lining among the clouds. If he could get at least one positive thought in, then maybe he wouldn't be so down and would be more willing to look at things from a positive angle.

Alfred F. Jones Hero *best junior ever* "I guesh I could. I meam..." He had to swallow his food. He didn't relize he was in the middle of eating when he stated to talk again. "I mean, I didn't mean to hurt his feelings. But my glasses are very important." He looked down at the broken frames in his hands. It wasn't like completely busted, just one of the hinges was broken, witch made them unwearable. Arthur might have been able to fix them without magic, or if he had offered before he had been a day without them, (Damn contacts) when they wear alone he might have excepted. But now the question what to buy him?

Ninth Grader The Austrian Princess ~* Garden Club Member *~ Lili saw the glasses and tilted her head to the side. Was that all the damage they had? That wasn't too bad... "I could fix them if you want, Alfred. I have a small kit that I use to fix jewelry in my room that could work to bend the hinge back into place along with some small screws to keep everything in place."

Massachusetts Leah looked at Lili with a slight nod, "yeah, but maybe you should make something...Melody made him some Scones, even though they were burnt." she said, "I think if you made something he will know you put effort into it" she said. She looked at his glasses, "o still think you should let Arthur fix them..." she said quietly.

Alfred F. Jones Hero *best junior ever* "He probably doesn't want to see me right now, and I can't make anything if I can't see." He fiddled with the glasses some. "Unless you wana fix them so I can make something them break them again. Or I guess I could suffer with thoes damn contacts some more. But I don't know how to make anything that he would like, that dosnt look like a gift from a 2 year old." He sighed, buying him something was easy but to make something? Like what?

  Lili oooLichtenstein
Ninth Grader The Austrian Princess ~* Garden Club Member *~ Lili frowned lightly. Out of no where, she popped him on the hand. Not hard enough to really hurt, but it was more than enough to give her a chance to get the glasses from him. She walked off with the glasses in her hand and went to her room. She came back a few minutes later with a small case hanging out of her mouth as she fiddled with a small instrument in her hand that she was using to take out the screw in his glasses.
Once back at the table, she set things up. she finished removing the screw and took some tiny pliers and carefully began bending the metal back into place. She inspected her progress every couple of minutes, going slow as to make sure she didn't make things worse or weaken the metal to a point where it would no longer support itself. Once she finished, she took the arm of his glasses and placed them carefully into place. She picked up a small screw along with the screwdriver that would be just the right size and put the pieces of his glasses back together. She folded and unfolded the arm to make sure her work was right. Finally, she gave a nod and held the glasses out for him to take. "Alfred F. Jones, you are a grown man, and to sulk like that is unacceptable. I've had to struggle my entire life with poverty, one famine after another due to how infertile my land is, have many people invade my country and take my things, and have my home leveled time and time again from wars that I was not a part of, and I only have 62 square miles to my country. However, not once did I sit around and feel sorry for myself. Even when i was on the edge of death, not once did I feel sorry for myself. You should think about that before you begin feeling sorry for yourself as well. Now then, if you're done, we're going to the store to buy supplies. Then, we're coming back, and I am going to teach you how to make Versunkener Apfelkuechen."

Alfred F. Jones Hero *best junior ever* "Ow." It of corse didn't really hurt, but it did suprize him. He took his fixed glasses then flinched when he was called by his full name. **Grown man? Then why do I feel like a child?** Now he started to think Lili was mad at him just like everyone else. The first time he let someone in, showed that he was more the a dumb blond and he got scolded. He put his glasses back on and he sat up more, his glasses now obscuring his eyes. He may have been a younger country but that didn't mean he would let others push him around. "I don't know what that it." It was said in a rather cold way. As if, if she knew how he should act then she should know he doesn't speak German. But he wasn't trying to be mean just indifferent. He just wasn't uset to anyone speaking to him like that. And now that she hated him, he really would be alone.

Ninth Grader The Austrian Princess ~* Garden Club Member *~ She was unphased by the tone in his voice.Instead, she smiled sweetly and said, "If you act that way every time you hear a foreign language, then the other nations might think you're culturally insensitive." Which was true. Even though English was rising in popularity around the world, it still wasn't as wide-spoken as what Alfred probably thought. She turned and smiled to Leah, whom she felt like she had been neglecting all this time even though she had been the first to come visit her. "I think you might like this recipe, Leah. It's called a "Sunken Apple Cake". It's sort of a mix between a pound cake and an apple pie, but it's one of those desserts that isn't overly sweet and is really good. Normally you only make them during Christmas time, but I think we can make an exception." She hadn't turned back to Alfred yet. She was giving him the option to either cooperate and stop acting rudely towards her or be ignored since she was not going to react to sour tones when she was trying to be helpful.

Leah Sky-Robin Jones
Massachusetts Leah was falling asleep really, he had almost dozed off until Lili spoke to her. She jumped up, "Dinosaurs!" she yelled, and then she sat down a bit embarrassed. She listened to what Lili had to say, "we are going to pound apples...they have feelings too...." she said taking an apple from her pockets and kissed the fruits surface.”I would never pound you into pound cake" she said to the fruit.
Yes Leah was talking to a fruit.

Ninth Grader The Austrian Princess ~* Garden Club Member *~ The small nation giggled lightly at what Leah said. She definitely had an interesting friend. She then shook her head lightly. "No, you don't pound the apples. I said the cake you make is sort of like a pound cake. With Sunken Apple Cake, you pour the cake batter into a deep cake pan and then set the apple wedges on the surface so that when the cake bakes, the dough will raise around the apple slices so it looks like you pushed baked apples into it. It's quite tasty."

Alfred F. Jones Hero *best junior ever* "You should know I don't speak German." He was smart enough to know what language she was speaking even if he didn't know what she said. And he did not like being ignored, and why would she translate it for Massy and not him. So he stood up. "Miss Lili, Thank you for your hospitality." He gave her a nod regardless if she was looking at him or not. "If you two will excuse me." He walked past the girls leaving the door open as he went not trusting himself not to slam it out of frustration.

Ninth Grader The Austrian Princess ~* Garden Club Member *~ Liechtenstein glanced over to him out of the corner of her eyes as he stood up to leave. He was leaving because she fussed at him a little. When he left, she gave a light sigh as she followed after him in order to close the door. She then went back to the table, which still held quite a bit of food. She looked it over before looking to the snake. "You can help yourself to it if you would like to, kleine Schlange. Just be sure to do so before any of it gets saved for left overs."
She then turned to Leah and frowned slightly. "Pardon if what I say is rude, but is he always so moody? I've lived with Germans my whole life, and they don't tend to have such mood swings... If they have any emotions at all." Again, she wasn't saying it to be mean. It was true. Most of the Germanic nations were stone-faced and rarely showed any emotion other then anger or frustration-- unless they were drunk or in an extremely good mood. (Both were usually hand in hand, though...) "I wasn't being harsh, was I? Maybe I'm just used to having to be assertive to get people to listen to me." The Liechtensteiner way of being assertive: be soft spoken, polite, and state your mind while forgiving any faults of anyone else around you. Not exactly the most intimidating method in the world, but, then again, she was pretty much the equivalent of Canada in Europe.

Massachusetts Massy looked at Lili and laughed a bit, "well I suppose so...I still haven't figured him out perfectly yet" she said, she had a slight frown on her face as she looked at the door where Al had left. He needed some one to talk to, with names. She knew it was hard to talk to Lili, she was a really sweet person, but unless it involves her then it might get really weird.
She looked at Lili, she thought about telling Lili about Al, but Lili had said if she had to think about it, it was best not to tell. "I have to go Lili, I’ll be right back though..." she smiled and her snake came up and rested on her shoulders.”Sorry Lili Al just being stupid..." she said heading fro the door. She then left, did Massy feel bad about leaving Lili...YES SHE DID!

  Lili oooLichtenstein
Ninth Grader The Austrian Princess ~* Garden Club Member *~ Lili watched as Leah left and sighed silently to herself as she was told, "I'll be right back." Much time passed and... Finally Liechtenstein gave up on waiting.
She had more important things to do than wait around for people to show up. If she didn't go to the store now, she wouldn't have supplied for the fondue she was hoping to make. So, she went to her room and opened her book bag. Sh pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen and wrote,
"I went to the store. I will be back later -Liechtenstein"
before she went back out into the kitchen, which she had cleaned in her time of waiting. She sat the paper on the table and frowned sadly. Why bother? Her roommates wouldn't notice or care she wasn't around. She gave a sad sigh, feeling her eyes water slightly while feeling alone. She quickly rubbed at her eyes with the back of her arm before standing tall and taking a deep breath. No time to feel sorry for herself. There was work to be done.
She grabbed a wicker basket so that she would have something to limit what she could buy before she turned and walked towards the store...
