Phoenixfire had retreated after giving her words to Landry to allow her fiancé to proceed with his attack, finishing her enemy once and for all. She returned the kiss her fiancé had blown her as he sent the wounded man into the steel steps and elicited a yell from Landry. In the moment that Landry was down, Chrono took advantage to taunt their foe further before catapulting the microphone at his head and moved in for the pin. Her hope rested in the success of this pin and the moment seemed to carry on forever, wearing her nerves thin. Phoenix continued to watch carefully on the men that fought over Matthias with such ferocity that they were willing to pull whatever punches necessary to ensure victory. She watched warily as Chrono turned to obtain a chair from beneath the ring, leaving himself open to attack from Landry and allowing his opponent time to recover. Phoenix was near to biting her nails out of her anxiety as she watched her fiancé fall into Landry's trap, causing her to grip at her hair and shout out in frustration over the turn of events that had caused the crowd explode around her.

Chrono was definitely out of it after Landry crashed on him but he glanced up and saw the titantron and the look on his fiance's face told the story. "I...Will.. Beat...You..." Chrono said gasping for breath..

Landry's head was resting right next to Chrono's, eyes closed as he panted heavily to catch his breath. The match had wore heavily on him, but he wasn't going to die just yet.
"Not...while i'm...breathing..."
Landry said as he tried to sit up, but that wasn't happening. Instead he rolled over, getting on his hands and knees and trying to get back to a vertical base, even if his legs were like rubber.

"Guess..I have to stop you... from... breathing.. Easy enough..." Chrono said gasping again as he lifted his arm up and grabbed the barricade and slowly tried to pull himself up. He grimaced through the pain, and the crowd was roaring.

Landry saw Chrono was getting up just like him and decided to keep the fight going. He fired off a right hand at the b*****d's skull to gain some minute advantage.

Chrono was hit with Landry's fist, and Chrono felt a warm sensation exit his lip. He put his hand to his mouth and saw blood on his hand. Chrono's eyes widened and he yelled 'DO IT AGAIN!" and then laughed.

Landry was more than happy to oblige and fired off another shot as he leaned on the barricade for support. If it landed, he'd try to shove Chrono over so that his hips were leaning on the barricade and most of his upper body was back at ringside, and if it was successful he'd latch on to Chrono's left leg to try and apply a kneebar, using the barricade for extra leverage.

Chrono was hit with the fist and laughed again. He laughed even harder as Landry shoved him into the barricade, but as Landry lifted his leg up to attempt a knee bar, Chrono attempted to lean over more over the barricade in an attempt to get Landry off.

Landry knew that this was going to hurt, but he decided to stay with the hold as long as he could to cause as much damage as possible...before he bounced off the thinly padded mats on the outside like a toy and was forced to relent.

Chrono got up and grabbed the barricade for support as he seemed to be hopping one one foot. The crowd's yelling and screaming had intensified.
Chrono breathed a heavy sigh before he put pressure and attempted to leap up over the barricade and do a leg drop of sorts to Landry.

The leg drop connects and Landry holds his throat, coughing violently as he rolls over and grabs the apron, trying to stand back up and retreat into the ring.

After the leg drop, Chrono sat on the ground for a moment to catch his breath. The crowd was still cheering on, as Chrono staggeringly got up.

Landry rolled into the ring, laying on his back and taking deep breathes. He used the ropes to stand, trying to steady himself so he could keep his legs under him sterdily. He looks over to Chrono and motions with his hands to come and get him.
"We settle this...right now...in the ring!"

"Live by the ring.. Die by the ring..." Chrono said coldly as he slowly circled the ring and entered on the opposite side of Landry. He knew well of Landry's tactics, if he was going to sneak attack him, he wasn't going to give him that opportunity.

Landry had no intentions of sneak attacking Chrono, he was going to prove he was the better man no matter what. Landry sized him up one last time before charging in and throwing a stiff round kick to Chrono's left knee.
