Well I have been a fan of both creatures since I saw the first movies but I don't remember what age I was when I saw Predator for the first time. I was sure the Predator would win but he made the ending quite wierd...

mmm yeah i hope they forget this bad idea of a movie... Video game movies are just a bad idea period... I mean real life movies, advent children was bad a**... Idk i keep getting flashbacks of doom and bloodrain...

First off welcome back Bobert, havent seen you around in a while. I agree highly that videogame movies are a bad idea, they botched ALOT of other videogame movies, except if made in japan with alot of support from the original creators. You know....there might be a silver lining to the movie if they take a few precautions and hire new actors (sort of like the thing they do with Superman movies) and most of the cast and actors are Castlevania fans themselves. If they can't do those 2 things then we're doomed to have our fave videogame fall into mediocrity, and verbal raping by Roger Ebert and RottenTomatoes.com .-_.-

Thanks jin..! Yeah besides, how much story does a single game have..? Maybe 45 mins, with more then half of that being a ending... I think if they Cg it, and maybe get a good story with the CV plot, it might work... Or crash and burn and kill things... rolleyes

Disney has made some amusing ones lately, o that other studio that did madagascar.

Anyway a 3-D CV movie like Advent children hmmm, that sounds better than a live action one. They can get away with anything in a CG movie like an Advent Children which was more eye candy than solid story.


I could look forward to a CG CV movie o.o

Wow, what a sad sad day to be a belmont...

I doubt that CG would really work too well with the world of Castlevania. I could see it as an anime OAV, perhaps - not as a full fledged series - if it was animated in the same fashion ss Kojima's artwork aesthetic, but certainly not computer animated. (We have such as cutscenes in the two PS2/Xbox titles, but those are for the games. It would be extremely awkward as a full length feature.)

The movie, I'm sure, will be dreadful. I'm admittedly jealous of the upcoming Halo film; that gets Peter Jackson.

There is however one modicum of positivity in this, that we have to be hopeful of. IGA, as we know, is extremely protecting and overseeing of Castlevania, which has been his most extensively worked on project for several years and ongoing. He's retconned games out of the "official" timeline, demanding that he approve manga released for the games' stories, and take part secondhand in their writing, has made certain that everything is exactly as he envisions it, et al. He's a perfectionist. If there is anything about this movie, be it the plot, the script, the actors, the sets, that he doesn't like... He'll make it known. It wouldn't be completely out of his hands. He may not technically own the Castlevania name, but Konami does, and they would sooner listen to what he has to say than a hack director.

I forgot all about the Street Fighter movie. Now I'm worried. xD
