Well! This one had legs. This was a marked improvement over the inanimate objects. At least catching something that could theoretically move took more skill than catching a jar... Of course, that didn't explain the coal and the boots. Malodore sighed.

This had been an... interesting find. Aislin had set down a trap in the murky bog, mostly because it simply seemed like the kind of location that would be teaming with life. On the simple trap she fastened two Enchaments, Dark and Lightning. She'd gotten quite a surprise when she came back to find the neon pink little squid caught all in a tangle. This was probably the strangest thing she'd caught yet, boots included.

Another trip to the Karsts during the cold, early morning yielded a gold glitter, and a caged, hissing creature. Pickles held the cage aloft, trying to get a good look at the thing inside. Someone had dressed it up!
A circus animal? All the way out here? Pickles was not, himself, a circus clown, but with all these animals he was beginning to think he should try busking. He smiled at it.
Its eyes glittered coldly.

Another escaped circus animal! It wasn't very tame, but it had been living in the wild. Pickles was sure it would remember its old roots in no time.

Willow hadn't been doing this long, she wasn't even sure why she was trapping in the first place. The poor minipets probably didn't appreciate it. Her tail flickered as she sat down a jar of what looked like Jelly... she wasn't even sure this was a mini pet...

Though she didn't want to open it and try to eat it since it got caught in one of her traps.Profile: LP

Pickles was not sure what this was. But it was very brown and sad looking, its teeth showing in what was very clearly a grimace.
He thought it could use a funny costume and some cheering up.

After sitting long periods of time in the Howling Karsts, Bea sat there bored to death. When all of a sudden, she hears a snap. Bea was please and ran forth to her trap only to discover... an ant?... on... a mushroom... Only thing was, this at was huge in comparison to a normal sized ant. Its eyes were red, and forever staring... forever staring... forever... forever.... staring... ((mini: scyerline))

Odd, it was just plain odd, but Sin had gotten used to it, after all she'd seen stranger things growing up in Halloweetown then a trap capable of catching a glass of fine cream. She was familiar with this type of minipet however and knew to keep it for her collection rather then release it back into the wild. She was fairly sure the creature would enjoy the comforts of her closet better then the wilderness full of traps.
One should always consider that some minipets are better left in their natural environment and should be released if they happen to wander into your trap, while others are decidedly safer in your care..[Mini SN: roxyroxanna]

This time Pickles found an entire skull. And something still lurking about inside.

Astra wasn't exactly sure what this was. Was it a mobile cave? a hide away home? Maybe it was even a hat. Regardless of what it was, she had caught it, and it looked pretty cool. However, she was unsure as to how it had came into her trap, wondering if it was somehow able to move. Or if was dropped there by something that could move sn: poke mattix

Sebastian had decided to move to a different spot in the bog- maybe one with less fish eggs. Happily he set up his faithful little cardboard box trap, humming a little tune. It was a good thing no one was around because he soon began to belt out the lyrics to "Animal."
Still, he had barely set it up when it started shaking and shivering. Had he really caught something so soon? With dainty, practiced hands he lifted up the box.

Sebastian just about died of fright. Well not really, that phrase is sort of null with the undead and all.
Either way, it was creepy as hell to have an eyeball staring at him. Kind of cool though. Very Halloweeny.
Next came the problem of picking it up though. He didn't want to just throw it in his pocket like the other prizes. Somehow it felt wrong. With a sigh, he simply put the eyeball in his hood like a little baby sling. Hopefully it wouldn't fall out- he didn't really have anywhere else to put it though.

Finally, Aksaja had become skilled enough with his trapping to move on to some of the more difficult areas. He'd also managed to save up enough cash for a Dark Enchantment . . . and then had taken himself off to the bog to set a few traps there. The first ones he set didn't yield him any results. But then, he went back and found a strange furry sort of ball, striped with light blue and white. Oh, very nice. He'd seen a few others with this minipet, but he had yet to find one himself. Tucking the fluffy ball into a pocket, Aksaja quickly set a new trap and left again, hoping for another such nice find later on.

A brown, spotted dog of suspect bloodline and one floppy ear is just what every boy needs. This one had a tendency to veer towards cliffs and other dangerous objects.

Ulmuka's trapping skill had grown slightly but not quite as fast as some other trappers he'd seen working around him. He was finally able to move on to the challenge of the Bloodstone Cliffs. He strung a rock and some rope together and waited. The wailing shrieks of wind lulled the strix into a short nap and when he awoke he found his trap had been sprung but strangely enough all that was caught in his loop of rope was a rather diseased looking cherry.

Trapping inanimate objects was one thing. Trapping nothing was fairly normal. But trapping nobody... well, that was just a philosophical conundrum that Malodore was unprepared to deal with at this early hour.
