Xander's ramblings appeared to have amused Jasper, it had been a long time since he had smiled from what another had said to him. But he quickly went back to his humdrum graze. This man had a lot of things going for him, but what did Jasper have? He was considered weak and laughed at for talking to himself. He loathed Xander for all that he had, but at the same time he admired him. "You are lucky to have such things, Xander. My name is Jasper Cintere. I was headed to the treasury to attain more precious gems to adorn my room with, the treasury's gems are refined and polished so its much better than getting the ones around the city." He didn't even know that there were some consequences from stealing from the palace, so he blindly told Xander, a member of the royal family.

As a royal guard, he couldn't really let things like this go so easily. But that was for a different time. A time when... he wasn't so... y'know... lazy. ''I guess I am lucky. But it's hard, sometimes, to imagine the responsibility I'll soon have to bear. I don't know if I really... want to be King. Makes me think, that maybe, you're lucky in your own way. You have the freedomt hat I could never have had. Hold onto that... alright?" Whether it be a useful tip, or just more rambling... Xander felt that it needed to be said. Greed really... took the variety out of life. As lavish as his world was... there was nothing new... every day... was always, always the same.
But perhaps today would be different. Jasper was unique, in his own way. Hopefully he could at least... make him smile... even if only once. He hadn't smiled... in a very long time.

Jasper hadn't actually paid attention to what Xander had said about the gems, by now he would have thought that Xander found a reason to dislike him just like every other guard in Luray. He waited for the insults, the putdowns, anything hurtful that Xander could say. But it never came. Perhaps he was different? It took several seconds for him to pick up the courage to speak, "Would you like to assist me in my training?" Where had that come from? He wasn't even thinking about training.

Raising an eyebrow when Jasper asked him to assist in his training, it was only a short pause before he nodded. ''Alright, sure. I'll help you with whatever. But... erm... I don't really know anything about you, combat-wise or other. I'm guessing, from your equipment, that you're... um... some kinda close-ranged fighter... but that's about all I've got. Haha. As you can tell, I have next to NO experience in training others. And I'm a mage... so we may conflict, if just by a bit." Nervous? Yes, that was a nice way to describe how he felt. If he didn't look like a bumbling idiot already, he sure as hell would soon.

"No. I don't think anything happened here.. But i do feel some dark energy, feels like a sin.. I don't know, what do you think?" Rachel rambled for a bit before asking Liliana what she thought. "The leader here, Queen Beth, once held Pride and Gluttony," Liliana said as she walked around. "She started with Pride and through my help gained Gluttony as well. We were going to work together to get the sins so neither of us would go fully mad. But now her thread is burned, so those sins are loose once more." They came to the front door of the palace. As Liliana looked out, there wasn't much of anything by way of energy in this city now. She had to wonder what had happened that people would be afraid to live here now. "We'll try their training center next. Maybe we'll get lucky there."

Alucard walked towards the crystal palace. There were an oddly large number of bodies in the streets as of late. Maybe the wurms were causing it. He didn't see how though... it wasn't like they were hard to kill or anything. All they did was slither around and attempt to slice you. All you would need is a gun and a fairly decent amount of aim to get the job done with these things.

A quick spray of a green, sticky slime would fly towards Alucard, threatening to stun him if hit. Followed by the slime shot, one wurm soldier would dash from out of the ruins, while a second form kept lurking in the shadows.

Alucard spun sideways out of the way of the toxin. Being a gunslinger, the man was very adapt at dodging any types of attack, especially with his vampyric reflexes. He then turned around and surveyed his targets. He knew one was still lurking in the shadows, due to his superhuman vision. He withdrew both of his pistols and fired six shots from each gun at both of his targets.

Before the closest wurm was blown away by the shot, it sprayed one final blast of the acidic sticky goo at Alucard. The second Wurm, hidden in the shadows, quickly zipped out of the way of the shot and sprayed a blast of goo at Alucard's feet.

[wurms gain the effects of other wurms around then. Alone they are weak, their strength is in diversity]
