I think it should be the member's choice whether they would rather play as themselves, as their Avi or as a custom creation.

Alright everyone I have a mule set up as the murderer.
You may have noticed his post in the OOC.
Username~ Myrkari Direlisle
If you guys want I can divulge the password as well. But over the next few days I will be creating a persona through Myrkari to get the members used to his presence in the guild. I may even get him into an RP.
Anyway if you see him wandering through the guild over the next few days then know that I am the one behind him.
Now that we have the murderer perhaps we should stage an argument in the OOC between the murderer and the victim. xd So who wants to get killed lol.

I do ^^ I know quite a few people that would love to see me dead. And since you are the necromancer in the guild you can just bring me back to life afterward, nothing says unity like killing off the other guilds captain.. I could come back in ghost form as well..*light bulbs*

exclaim Idea. We make the murder mystery something like a scavenger hunt of sorts. We give a clue, that could be something like...
" Between a candle and the dark
The grey shadows lie
Of Ashen Blades and forgotten days
The fallen will come to rise."
Thus the members would go check the first post of Ashen Blade where a clue as to who the murderer is would be posted.
Hence it would test the member's knowledge of the guild layout and the RPs in it.
If we did a similar story at your guild Ru'ni it would test the CO's knowledge of it's affiliate the OoE.
So what do you guys think?

I think it is a lovely allusion to the coming event. A little clue should the members happen to see it.

What we could do is have me (or whoever is killed) killed.. and then bound by magic so that I can only speak in riddles or lead a person to a clue or something..
One of the motives could be that somone wasn't happy about the guild merger.. maybe it didn't help them out.. maybe we could create their profile as one of the high ranking crew members that was demoted because of the joint merger. Or mad because I (metaphorically) was stealing the spotlight.
The Scavenger hunt would be a great idea as well.. *reminds him that he's wanting to set up a roleplay in the forum* Also.. I have a question to ask you Crow.. but it can wait for the PMs.. minute guild business doens't need to be discussed in this thread. ninja

That way it would be both a mystery and horror thing, perhaps we could have members of the Crew get picked off as we go, and the closer we get to the killer's identity the more dangerous and desperate things become, with people getting snatched and such. And with each death or occurrence a riddle like clue would be left that would lead the members to one of the assorted RPs where the real clue as to the killer's identity would be posted.
And as to your suggestion in the PM you sent me, I would prefer if the members made the choice.
Indeed we can do so, but it will be their choice to do it if they wish Ru'ni, you can propose the idea in the OOC Lounge if you like and see what kind of feedback you get. If it is positive I will purchase the sub-forum for you to begin work in.
Also on a ridiculous side note lol, I want Astaldera to be the random butler lol. xd His avi already looks like one so it won't be much of a problem in portraying him.
I can deal with him during the event. I have two different browsers so one can be running him and the other can be running my account.
Also, who wants to play the killer with Myrkari Direlisle's account. If any of you think you are demented enough to be a serial killer then let me know and I will send you his password. xd .
