Sky smiled. She was content with being with him. She thought over the question Adney had for her. "It feels nice. I finally have control over my life and soon I can fall in love with who ever I want without worrying about societies rules that have ever been wrong. Now that I think of it maybe I'll have to visit you in your dreams one day." The young woman joked. Adding in a wink to her date.

 Show Me How To Lie....
At her comment about falling in love, the redhead raised an eyebrow, but chose not to ask. Control was such a nice thing to have, and he had felt so much better when he finally felt in control of his own life; namely, when he had started at Reed's. At the mention of visiting him in his dreams, Adney smiles once more, this time in amusement. "That would certainly make it a lovely dream." he tells her, not at all above flattery. He was, however, quite serious in his statement.

Sky blushed. "Well I'll need to take sandman training classes before that can happen. I wonder if I can get credit for taking dream classes." She joked. Not that it wasn't a good idea. It was hard to test if it was possible.

Noting her blush, he holds back any comments he might want to make; it was adorable, but he kept those thoughts to himself. "I'm sure my feeble human body can hold out long enough." he responded, looking amused. He didn't know anything about dream classes, or any idea how her powers worked, actually. "So how does the whole dream thing work, anyway?" he asked curiously, having no idea himself.

The girl was happy that he finally seemed interested in the idea that she took Sandman classes. "Well there are different types of Sandmen all over the world. My mother is a type called a Boku. Boku go into dreams and eat them. So if you're having a good dream it turns bad and if you having a bad dream it turns good. Our spirits go out of our body and travel to where ever then we enter the body of a person. That person can see us too." Sky answered.

Considering what she said a moment, Adney makes sure he has it all straightened out before speaking. "So you're half Boku?" he asks, just to clarify. "What does that make you? Type wise?" he wasn't sure if it was similar to the way Pyry was a spirit, you went one way or the other, or if it was more like a split of lineage. Did that make her stronger or weaker? Did she have the powers of both her parents, only one, or some of each? There were so many things he didn't understand with all these kids and their fancy species.

Sky was even more happy that Adney had asked more questions. This was the first time he really tried to understand why she didn't think that going to college wasn't the best idea. "For children of different types it's normally which parent the child takes after. Ashley and Tristan take more after our mom while I take after our dad. If they went into a career as a sandman they would end up working as a Baku." The girl answered.

Easily noticing her uplifted expression, the redhead figures he was going in the right direction with his questions. He listened attentively, carefully keeping track of the information given to him. He had met both of Sky's siblings, both of whom seemed girlier; he supposed it made sense that Sky, the more masculine of the siblings, took after the male parent. "And what does your dad do?" he had no idea what her dad did, so her saying she took after him wasn't all that specific. He figured asking about the dad was the same as asking about her, but since she still wasn't sure, he deemed it the safer route; dad was already firm in his job, and if Sky took after him, she would likely do the same thing.

Sky knew that answer faster than the other questions he had asked over the course of the date. "Dad works as a sleeper sand man. They are the sandmen who put you to sleep." She answered as she pulled out a bag. She then opened it up. "This sand makes people go to sleep when it's sprinkled in their face. I have to be careful not to get in my face too. The only way to wake up a sandman who got their own dust in their face is to kiss them. Otherwise we'll sleep through anything for at least eight hours."

Resisting the urge to say that he knew what the sand did, as the only reason he knew was because her brother had tried to pay him off for their last date, he chooses to simply nod instead. His date seemed to be enjoying his questions, and he was gaining quite a bit of knowledge in the process. Taking a moment to study the bag in interest, as the last time he'd seen the sand it had been close to being thrown into his face or offered as payment that he didn't want. "How do you know who to put to sleep?" he figured he'd keep going in this direction until he ran into a wall.

That was going to be Sky weakest question. She hadn't studied up on all the things she could do with her job. "Well there are different places that hire sandman to put people to sleep like hospitals or parents who hire babysitters. Most of the time when you see a child awake at night you go in for the attack, knock the child out then take him or her to their bedroom."

Waiting patiently for her answer, as it seemed she was less prepared for this question, the redhead almost laughs at her answer. "That sounds suspiciously familiar." he tells her, remembering his own times as a child with a babysitter. He was a rebellious child, as was his younger brother, and neither agreed to go to bed the majority of the time; they often awoke in their beds the next morning with no recollection of how they got there. He supposed it was possible that his parents could have hired a sandman, considering his father's line of work as a research specialist on the 'supernatural'.

Sky smiled. "Who knows. If your family knew about this side of the Veil then they would have gotten a few interesting characters to do stuff around the house. I mean something like a sandman comes in handy with kids." The young woman commented. It sounded like he may of had a run in or two with one of her kind.

Pausing a moment, he decides he had nothing to hide about his family. "My father was a... supernatural researcher, I guess you could say. He was privately employed by some big wigs on this side of the Veil to try and discover how magic and strange abilities work. Basically, his job was to study what made all you fancy people with your mythical species differ from humans." he smiles faintly, hoping to shift the conversation away from the man who had ruined his life. He wasn't sure how else to describe that man's job, and so went the simple route. "But it's likely I've met a sandman. There were three of us back then, so we were probably something of a handful. Especially my brother."

Sky playfully stuck out her tongue. "Not like I had much of a choice. I was born like this. So take me for all my beauty or leave." She joked. She then leaned forward an giggled a little. "All a sandman need to get a kid to shut up is just a nice sprinkle of sand." She loved her abilities. It was much easier to get people to do things.
