Although Carmine didn't grab the attention of everyone around he did manage to intrigue one individual. As the much larger boil moved and watched him, Carmine should probably have felt a bit perturbed, but he didn't. He was far to excited to meet this stranger and others as well.
"Hey, what's your name?" Carmine replied back to the bird-like boil. Carmine was not very familiar with types of birds. All he really knew was that if it had feathers and wings, it was probably a bird. And that's all that really made the difference for him.
He was still beaming, a smile stretched from ear to ear. It almost seemed as if he was being pulled up as he stood nearly on his toes to try and make himself just a bit taller in front of everyone.

Sparrow's gaze flitted briefly back to Kallos, and he smiled at the boil. "Fascinating as in I've never heard of a calligraphy pen haunt before," he replied, tilting his head interestedly. "I've always been a fan of those pens; such beautiful instruments to write with, so it's quite intriguing that you haunt one."
There was a shuffle, and suddenly Sparrow felt something - someone - backing up against him. He craned his head around, glancing down at Jove, but he kept his mouth shut, not wanting to call the boil out for being anxious over...well, something. If he'd learned anything in the past few days (especially the fact that Jove was, in fact, a boil and not a ghoul), it was that the puppy was proud and did not like to be called cute or considered a kid. So Sparrow kept his lips pressed together, not saying a word and letting the puppy stand closer.
He really is like Delia...
Drawn out of his wistful thinking, Sparrow moved his eyes back to Sir Grumpy Pants, a slow, drawn out smirk appearing on his face as he regarded the other. "I don't recall," he replied easily, lifting a brow demurely. "Was it?"
He was being deliberately obtuse, but Sir Grumpy Pants was entertaining. He seemed older; most likely not a student, if by the way he carried himself was any indication. Sparrow tapped a gloved finger to his chin thoughtfully, pushing a stray strand of hair from his face. "Perhaps not smiling is essential, and maybe not for daily life," he responded with a shrug, smiling nonchalantly. "But taking pleasures in small things and not being scowling when you have no particular reason to is essential to life itself."
A pause. Sparrow gave another shrug as if to say oh well! "But, then again, what do I know?" he said with a grin. "I'm just a simple grim reaper."

"I am Ulmuka. Muka if you like." Muka didn't seem to blink very often. His mouth also rarely closed. "I'm attempting to be accepted here. Hopefully one day. So far I have had a blast."
He seemed to stay bent over, lowering his face towards Carmine. It was slightly strange. He could have crouched or leaned in a casual way but instead seemed to bend himself at a sharp forward angle. It didn't seem to bother him though.

"It's nice to meet you Muka," Carmine replied. It was all he could do not to blink overly often as Muka leaned so far over and stared him straight in the face. It was odd the angle that the bird-boil was leaning at. Still looking up at him a bit, Carmine smiled again and tilted his head slightly.
"Me too," he replied in response to Muka talking about the academy. Carmine really did want to go there, though he wouldn't share his reasons with just anybody. "How many others have you met so far?" He asked excitedly, "So far, you're the first I've met!"

He could have sworn he'd seen a pale flash of blue out the corner of his eye, but when he turned to look it had gone. He was willing to think he was seeing things until both ghouls pointed out that whatever it was had been absolutely adorable, and Seiji knew at once just what, or rather who, he'd seen. "Jove?" Frowning, he turned, though paused at Ash's questions. "Who..? Oh, no I haven't" Not formally though. He was fairly certain someone named cat had sent him a riddle over groanspring. Was it the same person?
"Gimme a second," he murmured. Hmming softly, the boil turned and moved down the aisle to peer around the corner. "Jove?" If he was here, then he wanted to introduce the younger boil to his old friend and also Pepin. She was keen on meeting other ghosts, after all. "Hey Jove, come here a minute?"

Joachim merely returned a shrug to Willow as she looked to him about Muka's word of flavors, he really wasn't sure what the owl like boil meant but he was sure that it was something different than what his mind was thinking.
"Oh I wish they didn't appreciate it but a few of them including Yaus have a terrible habit of enjoying dress up though I think it's due to my sister giving them treats when they allow her to more than anything." Joachim replied as he gave a bit of a look to Yaus, he seemed to be rather calm at the moment as Willow stroked him but there was probably a chance it was the fear of moving.
Joachim gave a nod as Muka turned his attention to a bat like boil, did bat's eat mice? No wait there was a comment somewhere that bats were like flying mice however he didn't see the resemblance. How could someone compare something so cute like mice to rats and bats anyways? Nevertheless he gave a wave to the boy as if to greet him and then turned his attention back to Syb as he rose a brow, "Wax? Your wearing wax?"

"Oh yes!" Muka put a long hand on Carmine's back, leaning back to full height but sort of guiding the bat demon towards their small group.
"This is Joachim. He has mice for friends. Very cute." He rattled it of like a facts sheet. "This is Willow.. she's also very nice. Seem shy I think." There was no acknowledging that he was talking about them all like they weren't there. "And this little gem is Sybaline. Syb. She's obviously a patchwork and apparently..." He made like it was a secret and whispered. "She wears some lovely smelling wax to help waterproof herself."
With a giggle he patted Carmine on the head like a child. "Everyone.. this is Carmine."

Aislin had found Cat. But then the shadowy boil had showed her the book he'd gotten caught up with and had started talking about it and all of it's interesting things and she liked listening more than reading the books herself so it was fun. For a while, at least. Eventually the Ghoul began to sigh. And then she started to glance pointedly down towards the floor (which was admittedly very far away, the other students roamed around like specs). And then she just flat out interrupted Cat.
"Well! That was neat, but I really wanted you to meet Seiji. He was the first person I ever knew, and he's so much fun! Come on!" She began to make her way down the ladder.
Reaching the bottom she hopped off the bottom rung and turned, hair wafting through the air lightly as she glanced around for her friend. It seemed like she'd accidentally spent more time up there than she'd meant to - there were SO many new faces that had arrived. Boils and ghouls all over, oh my!
Through the crowd she spotted him, milling around and apparently looking for someone. The tall ghoul promptly raised a hand and waved it airily, her mouth opened even though her voice sifted from the hole at her throat, and very... VERY loudly, at that. "SEIJI! SEIJI I'M OVER HERE!" She looked up to make sure Cat was following before jogging bouncily over towards the boil ghost, dodging and weaving around the others.

As Muka pulled Carmine over to the small group. He stared up at all of them, his mouth slightly open and his eyes still as wide as dinner plates. As Muka listed them out, each with an interesting fact, Carmine nodded along, half mumbling. He was trying to take it all in, but was bound to VERY quickly forget what names belonged to who.
He giggled a little as he smiled and gave a wave to all these new people.

Willow looked at Syb, "Why do you wear wax?" She asked curiously.
She giggled, "Oh, what do they eat? If I get to attend I'll remember to keep some snacks from them." She smiled, "Maybe they wouldn't be so afraid of me."
She was rubbing Yaus with one finger pausing to attempt scratching softly under his chin, knowing a few animals liked that. She was fully prepared to be bit though, specially if it was afraid of her.
She looked back to Muka when he came back, "Oh Hello Carmine." She smiled softly... granted it seemed that Muka answered her question before Syb could.

"It's like lotion!" Syb said happily to the wax question. "And I really don't want water leaking through my seams, so I thought it would be a great way to keep it from happening! Muka's so smart to have figured it out! And hello Carmine," she said as Muka brought over his new friend. "Do you have a special flavor, too?"

Cat could only chuckle at his friend's short attention span, following her down from the high shelf that had been perched on as quickly as his visitor's pass allowed. It seemed much more difficult to manouver his invisible form outside of his shadowy casing, and thus could not glide down as quickly a he would have liked.
Still, once arriving on the floor, finally back amidst the small mob that had gathered, he hurried to keep up with the excitable ghoul.
Her shrieking voice didn't bother him in the slightest, and he only smiled that flat glinting smile as she darted away into the crowd, following her as closely as he could while politely excusing himself to all he bumped into. Oh he had seen Seiji, before Ash had come up the shelves to join him. But he would play along.

Charlie side kicked the doors to the library open. Or , he tired to, it swung back in his face though the moment he did though leaving the boil flat on his a** with a bloody mark on his forehead. The demon quickly recovered though and made his way through the doors this time more normally.
It was then that he saw a group of students he'd never seen before. One of them had giant bat ears and fun wings. Charlie decided he'd go over and pull on one of those ears. A sly smile unfolded on his face as he stalked his prey, poorly, through the library. Finally when he was close enough the demon grabbed one of Carmines ears.
"Gotcha!"

When Jove heard Seiji call his name, the pup's ears flicked in that direction, and for a second he thought about breaking away from Sparrow and running to the relative safety of the older ghost. Surely Seiji could handle whatever frightening things a reaper might want to do to him!
But Jove couldn't bring himself to take a step away. Maybe it was the fear that running would attract unwanted attention, or that he might get freaked out and not stop until he was hiding somewhere terrified. Or maybe he was afraid of what would happen if he left Kallos alone. Either way, he shot a nervous glance in Seiji's direction but didn't budge an inch from Sparrow's side.
After a second he called out, "Hey!" Hopefully he could catch Seiji's attention, and maybe get him to come over.

"That's errr..... very interesting Syb I didn't realize that wax did that...." he replied looking at her again curiously. He guessed that maybe if he was like her he would have to wear wax but at the time being he was sure that he probably didn't need to unless it rained.... a lot. He only hoped she wouldn't wear a scent that would attract his mice otherwise she might end up with a few more holes than needed.
"Oh they will eat about anything sweet or that will rot their teeth out if they aren't careful," he replied to Willow as he watched Yaus twitch his tail. He seemed to be happily enjoying himself especially now that she was scratching under his chin and paid little attention to the return of the owl and the new comer.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well Carmine, and this in my hand is Yaus," he replied pointing to the little white creature in the palm of his hand.
