Liliana set the tea tray down, giving Kora a look. "I was just a bit reckless, Kora. No need to worry about it." She didn't realize it until after she finished that she spoke aloud. Her voice was dry from disuse, cracking and weaving when she spoke. But that wasn't the worst part. Even as she tried to keep it, her voice betrayed her insecurity and hurt. Why she had was anyone's guess right now, but it was there.

Liliana stopped for a moment before sitting down. "The Tyrant is dead and the blood shall remain on Mercy's hands," she finally said. There was a cold, dead emotion to how she said it, almost as though it was a truth she wanted nothing of. "I'm sorry. Please. Have some tea." A small breeze came to life in the room, floating the teacup to Kora for her to take from the air. "So the forest is overgrowing? The waves of the ocean here have been merciless. I have to reapply the protection spell every three days now."

"Well, before Amaterasu vanished, she was working with some people to create a machine that could amplify her power enough to move the whole building. With the constant assault on the barrier, I've been toying with the idea again. I just don't know if I'll need that same machine or not." Sipping her tea, Liliana seemed to be glad for the change of subject.

"I are you talking about the stone in the 3rd floor that your having it studied?" She asked, just want to know if what she say back there was it or not. Not to sure if Liliana was talking about magical machine or metal machine she was talking about. "Oh, and by the way, what happen to Amaterasu? I haven't seen her for ages. She had a child, right?" She want's to have that question answered the most. Cherry haven't came visit Kora like for ever now. And now she think about it, nether have Ferir. Two of them have been having relationship troubles last time she heard.

Liliana nodded. "True on all remarks. The crystal I made is planned to be the conduit for moving The Spire. And Amaterasu had a child but both she and the child vanished. I can't even find them through the connection I hold to both." Liliana paused for a moment, hearing Kora's thoughts about Fenrir. She thought of addressing that as well but decided against it.

"Hmm... How troublesome.." Kora look down and sipped her tea. There's no way to grab hold of them, even with the help of a seer. She can't do anything herself beside wait and see if Cherry will just come to her. "Is there anything I can help you with your project? I don't know much about machine but I know well enough about barriers." She look up, asking for any assistant.

Liliana shook her head. "It's just a matter of figuring out how much energy it would take to do it." Liliana set her tea down. "So, as I keep seeing, you're here about my birthday." Emelia shrugged apologetically to Kora. "It's really not a big thing to celebrate. I would suggest your efforts be more focused on Emelia's upcoming one rather than my own."

Kora gagged over her tea hearing she knew about the birthday. It wasn't that big of a surprise, luckily she didn't spill any that is in her mouth. Kora was hopping to make the birthday more of a surprise for Liliana but that pretty much ruin pretty well because of her bloodline. "Oh don't say that, it wouldn't be fair if we don't do yours." Kora started. "It may not be that big to celebrate but if we know it she should at least do it. And beside, if we do yours, Emelia would know what to expect from her first birthday after seeing yours." She added. Doing what ever to make people happy. Expecting for everyone enjoying their birthday.

"And why sully her expectations with the result of what a party for me would entail when she can experience her first exposure for herself?" Liliana stood up, wincing a little. "Please, make yourself at home, Queen Kora. I need to see if there has been any progress with the current project." Liliana started to move for the door.

"Eh? Uh, w-wait!" Kora placed her tea down to grab her gift up to Liliana. "At least open up your gift." She tempted her to do so. Kora feels so upset of how negative Liliana is being. Kora was willing to make the effort for her birthday, even had the lovely white enchanted dress just for her inside the rapping.

Liliana stopped, looking back. You expect one to be positive over a day that lost its meaning long ago? she mentally asked the High Cleric as she walked back over. Hands reaching out, she gave Kora a polite smile. "Thank you, Kora," she said as she took the gift in her hands and began to unwrap it.

Kora is confused from a message she send in her head. Liliana is trouble that can easily seen but why can't she just tell Kora what's wrong? It's like she's only giving her hints to just figure it out.
Kora look over to Emelina and nudge her should. "Pss~ Give her your gift too." Kora quickly remind her to do the same.
