Hatsuma's eyes glimmered with a child like light for a brief instant as she took the offering of taiyaki from oasis. Taking a bite from one her concerns dulled a bit and the world felt a bit brighter. " It is good that they disabled the dangerous effects of the poison, still it would have been nicer if they remove the side effects as well..." Hatsuma commented pausing to take another rather hefty bite of the taiyaki before continuing on her conversation with Oasis. "Even though I made it, I disobeyed the criteria set for me, as a result I got a very low score, practically as low as those who hadn't made it to the end of the little poison trap..." Hatsuma explained calmly before taking another bite, clearly smaller than the last as she tried to keep the taiyaki around a little longer by taking progressively smaller bites of the treat. "I think we should do fine however, all we need to do is catch up in the third portion of the exams and then we can move on with our original mission... I will admit that there was some entertainment in this detour and I take it as a welcome break from our mission as temporary as it may be..." she stated bluntly finally finishing the taiyaki she had been eating. "But you know I've met some shinobi from other countries who seem to be quite skilled at what they do, I would not want to deal with them in a war time environment, it is good things are in the calm for the time being..." She commented pointing out the observations she had made of her temporary team members.

Now that they were situated on the crossbeams, Notwen turned and watched Takera as he got himself situated on his own wooden beam. The crippled Uchiha made sure Novvus' head was lowered so that the puppet's face was shrouded in shadows for the time being. The sounds of sweeping and relocating of objects could be heard coming up from below. After a few moments of contemplation the dark-skinned blonde crossed his legs and addressed the masked boy verbally.
"Based on how you were acting back at the first exam i deduced that you knew more than you were letting on. There is only one other necklace that looks exactly like the one i am wearing. That blue guy, Kyu, told me that he knew my brother as well, though it was for a short time before he died. It also appeared that you were trying to avoid one of us for whatever reason." Notwen scratched his head, allowing a short break before continuing his statement. "I am not saying that you have the pendant, but i am assuming that you were in some way involved with my brother before his death, and i want to know exactly what ties you had with him." The whole time he had been speaking to the masked boy, the dark-skinned blonde had been life streaming his brother's consciousness into the puppet. Novvus blinked on his own and rubbed his artificial eyes, still keeping his head down. After blinking a few times, he turned his eyes up to look at Takera. Notwen sealed the white-haired boy's connection to the web of intrigue before establishing a new connection with his brother. Does he look familiar in any way? asked Notwen, keeping his attention riveted on the masked boy.
There were three individuals on the team with white hair. answered Novvus. Their names were Takera, Zeru, and Rinku if i recall correctly.

Takera shifted himself lightly to look over at the crippled boy and his puppet. He could hear shards of glass and material being moved and the sound of bristles against the wooden flooring below. He didn't bother to look down, but assumed that the owner had set the puppet down and began sweeping the store up. Takera slowly adjusted himself to be sitting properly on the wooden beam and pulled forth his bag. He pulled out a few items and put the packaged contents on either side of him, as to try and organize his bag space since he hadn't gotten a chance since he was stocked up with the new stuff he had bought. He moved and shifted things in his bag from side to side and slowly started to put things back in until he noticed the SC capsule case he'd bought before. It had contained three vials and came in a carrying case for three. He wondered what the liquid inside the vials in the case could possibly be and what they did. He tucked the case inside of his bag neatly mid-way and stacked some other stuff onto it until he came across the vest he won. He slipped it on over his head as Notwen began to speak about to him about the issues at the exam. Notwen stated that it seemed like Takera was trying to keep distance from someone in the group and that the only necklaces like his own were his brothers necklace and his own. Takera thought about his answer for a moment while shifting lightly to fit the vest to his body properly. Once he felt comfortable he looked over the vest and raised his arms a bit to make sure everything was strapped right before lowering his arms and looking over to Notwen.

"I tried to tell you before when I made the comment of seeing you and the necklace in Cloud that it must've been a mistake, but you just got frustrated and serious about it and shut it out all together. Whoever I saw, was infact of darker skin, which isn't too hard to find around these parts really. They had a necklace too, but I was too far away to notice the finer detail. Being new here, I've gotten nothing but dirty looks from the citizens. I thought if my necklace were the same, since the boy's necklace looked familiar, I might be able to talk to him and possibly gain a friend. I mistook him for you at the event though." Takera paused to recall Kyu in his entirety throughout the times he'd seen him. "As for avoiding people. I don't suppose particularly I was running from anyone, yourself included. I'd have left much sooner had I come across someone I wanted to avoid. I will say though, Kyu is certainly brazen... for a fishstick that is." Takera laughed lightly with a touch of joy in his voice before calming down and continuing to speak."I don't really know Kyu all that well, but he seems like he'd be really dependable though. As for your brother, I need a name. I haven't met a grand selection of people on my journey, but if I don't have some sort of image, then I'd need a name to go off of. " He moved his hands over the case and looked down from Notwen's eyes to the case. He popped the case open to reveal all the ninja tools awarded to him from the shop for being a contestant in the exams. Takera took out the kunai in sets and then the shuriken and finally the soldier pills and began to reach back set by set and tuck them properly into place in his pouch that rested on his belt around to the back side of him. Once he situated all the items he proceeded to shut the case containing the tracking tags and medkits and put it into his bag with a light clack of the case setting down on another case. Takera moved the bag over and hung it over his shoulder, propping himself forward to make up for the shift of weight. He steadied himself on the wooden beam and then turned, raising a leg over the beam to the other side and sitting in a way that he could face Notwen. "Ah, that feels better. I haven't sorted out my bag in a long while." He spoke with a slight sense of relief in his voice.

Oasis shrugged slightly as she munched away on her chicken kebab. "Well... Oasis tried hard, and over an over again... While the injured person in Oasis team was allowed to stay back an be safe, yet... Oasis score was only just more than that persons." she states with a dejected voice. She took another big bite and gnawed on it while thinking about what had happened "It seems sorta unfair to me..." She states obviously losing the third person tone. "So do you think we will be able to find a sword for Oasis?" She questions as she thought about their previous mission "also how likely do you think it is that we will make chuunin, it would be pretty neat." she states with a sideways little cat-like grin. "Oh... Oasis isn't sure about those that were in her team really... They seemed talented but they didn't do a lot so Oasis isn't really for sure about them. She sighed slightly and held a hand to her head the remainder of that poison they used had her feeling kinda miserable. She leaned back until falling over onto her back "Oasis says shenanigans to these exams." she adds with a light chuckle "who's ever heard of poisoning other countries genin during a chuunin exam, sounds sneaky to Oasis..." she mewls plaintively. "Oasis needs to try an remove this poison sooner or later, prolly maybe sooner." she states with a little smile.

Notwen and Novvus watched in silence as the masked boy began to unpack his things and reorganize them. The dark-skinned boy noticed several items of interest among the lot: some SC Capsules, a vest which the white-haired boy donned, and the chuunin exam giveaway set.
Oh! So he got one too! he thought as the white-haired boy began to speak. For the most part he was only reiterating the story about having seen someone he mistook for Notwen in the Hidden Cloud. The crippled Uchiha had to stifle a yawn to keep himself from calling bullshit, but then again there was the chance that the white-haired boy might have been telling the truth. After all, Lightning Country was full of dark-skinned people with varying shades of blonde and dark hair. The bit about trying to gain a friend by comparing necklaces almost caused another yawn to escape through Notwen's lips. I really didn't need to know that bit. It's none of my concern who he tries to befriend in life for whatever reason. The masked boy continued speaking, this time trying to justify his reasons for leaving their group. He said that he was not trying to avoid anyone, Notwen included, and that he would have left earlier if he had encountered someone he wanted to avoid. Hmm, i wonder about that... thought the Uchiha, now analyzing the mystery boy's statements more carefully. Continuing his speech, the boy went on to call Kyu brazen, adding in a pun on the fishy genin's nature. But Kyu is the brazen one. Heh. I wonder if he'd say that to his face at any given time under no restrictions. The white-haired boy went on to laugh and say that he didn't know Kyu all that well, but thought that he was really dependable. At this Notwen raised an eyebrow. Now that's interesting. he thought. You don't know someone that well, yet you consider them dependable? That's a judgement one can only make by having a reason to do so. For example...
"Being part of a mission..." interjected Novvus mentally, stirring himself up. "There's no doubt about it. He's one of the three white blondes that were on our team, brother. Kyu was our leader for that mission. Even though it ended in failure he did a really good job leading so many of us." Notwen nodded to his puppet brother's statement just as the masked kid asked for a name. The crippled Uchiha remained quiet until the kid had repacked his things and used his bag to prop himself up. A few minutes later the sounds of sweeping and moving ceased, then the sounds of two pairs of footfalls were heard going toward the door.
"Please take care of those hoodlums, young ones. Make them regret ever setting foot in my store!" said the store owner.
"Yeah, kick their bullying butts!" chimed Gabriel, his grandson before they turned off the lights and locked up.
"Brisingr." whispered Notwen, creating a blue will o' wisp that he kept suspended in mid-air to give them light. At that time Novvus got upon his own and walked up to the masked boy, crouching down in front of him at an angle that would allow the light form brisngr to light his face, and smiled.
"I believe you remember me, Zeru-kun. After all, weren't we on that mission to Frost together?" He asked. Just at that moment something struck the broken window. Notwen extinguished the brisingr just as the object struck the window again, making it cave in inwards.
"That old fart keeps on taping the window back together, boss!" said a voice coming from outside. "It gets harder to smash every time!"
"Not only that, but i just saw some weird blue light coming from inside the shop." said another voice. "It cut off when Joe bashed the window with the pipe! There's someone in there! Scatter!" Then came the noise of several footsteps running away from the shop.
"Shiiiiiiit!" seethed Notwen, smacking his forehead with the palm of his hand. "I accidentally spooked them."

Takera had finally gotten situated the sounds of movement and cleaning below ceased. A slamming noise came from the tape-layered window below them. Then a voice could be heard outside remarking how the window wouldn't break and the old man kept repairing it. Suddenly a blue flame burst forth to give a lighting to them and the puppet moved forth towards Takera. He noticed as it got closer that it seemed familiar. In just a second the puppet was propped infront of him, the glow illuminating it's face entirely. Takera got a glance at the puppet's face before turning to hear the voices below begin to panic and before long a load of footsteps were heard as if they had all began to run away. "Crap! They're getting away." Takera said as he slipped off the edge of the wooden beam while doing handseals to form an ice mirror below him and another out the door. He shifted through the mirror and the speed granted caused him to, within the next second, be at the next mirror and phasing out to land quickly at the center of the outside area infront of the shop. He wasn't quick enough as the bandits had turned out any lights they had when them and scattered like cockroaches.

Takera scoffed at their unfortunate failure to catch the bandits. His mirrors faded and he turned to walk back into the shop. "I wasn't able to catch sight of them. The cowards turned out their lights and scattered." Takera spoke as he saw the old man and the kid at the doorway. He moved in past them and looked up to the wooden beam where Notwen and his puppet were. "What kind of game are you playing?" Takera spoke up to the crippled boy who was up on the wooden beams. "Was that suppose to be some kind of joke? Making a puppet that looks like Novvus? Takera's own words rung in his mind for a second before all of Notwen's comments flooded in. "Wait... Your brother is Novvus?" Takera questioned as he watched Notwen and the puppet with a puzzled look. "No offense, but that seems a little obsessive. Are you not able to see Novvus anymore?" Takera continued to question.

"Hehe, save the neck-butchering for the next exam, bro." Kyu said with a friendly laugh. "However... Some training would be a good idea before the exam starts. What do you say to a shinobi-shinobi technique co-op kind of thing? If we teach other a few quick moves, we'll be better off in the coming fights, know what I mean, bro?"

Kyu rolled down his arm warmers to show off one of his right forearm tattoo, "If you'd like, I can even hook you up with one of the chakra-based tattoos that I have. They're good to have when you're in a pinch."

(sorry for shortness, I just wanted something out there to get the training going)

Notwen and Novvus slid down the wall using chakra control moments after the masked boy jumped into an ice mirror he had created. He had created one outside at the same time and exited from it, but it was too late. The assailants had escaped. Apparently the old shopkeeper had remained within walking distance because he was outside when the dark-skinned blonde and his puppet sibling got to the door. The white-haired kid had walked in past the old man and had begun firing questions at Notwen, asking if the fact that he had made Novvus a puppet look-alike was some kind of joke.
Bingo! thought the crippled Uchiha with a triumphant smile on his face. He had successfully solved a mystery of the mysterious masked boy's origins. So he's a Mist refugee for some reason. Novvus frowned.
"Yes, Zeru. I am his brother. And you should know more than anyone that he can't see me because i am no longer a living physical being." replied the puppet. "By the way, why are you a Lightning Country shinobi? And whatever happened to Takera? If i remember correctly you two were inseparable." Novvus folded his arms, tugging on the chakra threads connected to his twin's fingertips. Notwen slackened the threads just enough to allow his brother some degree of free movement. It was at this point when the old man interrupted the conversation, looking at the dark-skinned blonde with interest.
"Remarkable... How are you doing that with your puppet, young man? It's as if it's actually alive!" Notwen turned to face the man.
"He is alive, sir, but i can't share the secrets of how this is possible." The old man laughed.
"I like that. You know how to censor yourself pretty well, but i know about the secret Jouryoku Puppet Jutsu. I just never thought that i would see it outside of that village." The crippled Uchiha immediately relaxed in the old man's presence. It was as if he'd met with an old friend after a long time. "The third exam is soon to take place, but i think that i can teach you a few of my tricks before then." Notwen's face lit up in surprise.
"Really?! That would be much appreciated, sir!" The old man smiled.
"It would be a pleasure to pass my skills down to an up-and-coming puppet master. We can start right away. By the way, you may call me Cheiron." he said to the dark-skinned blonde, then turned to the masked boy. "Sorry, but i am going to have to ask you to leave. This is something that outside sources can not witness." With that he escorted the white-haired boy outside of the store and closed the door behind him. Turning back to Notwen the old man continued. "This is something i haven't been able to do since i was younger because Arthritis has been paining my fingers, but i am sure you can pull it off. It is a method i refer to as Arma Synch..." For the next few hours the old man explained the process in which a puppet could be combined with another to form a brand new creation. Notwen also got to try out the technique hands-on, an experience that he found to be enjoyable and memorable. After hours of instruction the dark-skinned blonde shook Cheiron's hand.
"Thank you master Cheiron. I will try my best not to let you down in the exams. Also," Notwen hung his head. "I apologize for failing to carry out your wishes and letting those guys get away." The old man placed his hand on Notwen's shoulder.
"It's alright. There's only so much you can do with one arm. Hopefully they'll be to paranoid to come back for a while." he said with a hearty chuckle. "Besides, with your new toy you should be able to get ahead of the game." Notwen looked at the large wooden box that was now strapped to Novvus' back. "Take very good care of it."
"I will." said Notwen and headed out the door with a farewell to his new mentor. If the white-haired boy was still outside after all that time, Notwen would raise an eyebrow and say, "Obsessive much?". If not he would simply return to his tent with Novvus at his side the whole time.

Saikoro chuckled softly and returned the large sword to the holster on his back. "Yea, yea, wuss~" He joked as he nudged Kyu with his elbow playfully as the duo walked through the street with almost no traffic in their way. "Training...?" A sigh pushed out of his thin lips at the word. He had just finished training with Musica not that long ago and the ideal of more training wasn't all that appealing but as Kyu revealed his new tattoo, Saikoro's eyebrow perked up in interest. "Sure, why not.. And that is a rather cool tattoo.." He said softly as he stopped to grab his comrade's wrist so he could examine the tattoo.

(Its fine)
PostPosted: Thu Jun 30, 2011 8:26 pm

Kyu chuckled, "Yea, yea. I'm a wuss for keeping my strength up." At first, it would seem that Saikoro wasn't interested in training, but as soon as he caught a glimpse of Kyu's right tattoo, the tone of his voice changed completely.

The man grabbed onto his arm, and examined the mark, "I got it from some medic nin back home. This one in particular is used to enlist the aid of jellyfish. Its a rather long and complex process, so I won't bore you with the details, but more or less, the tattoo they gave me holds the information to generate jellies with just chakra."

"While I was in the hospital for a month, I whipped up an ink manipulation and duplication jutsu, so I can share these things as I like; or retrieve them if I wish. Here, I'll give you a sample," Kyu took hold of the ninja's right hand with his own, and made a one-handed seal with his left hand. The ink on Kyu's arm glowed faintly began to stretch and spaghettify from his forearm to his hand. The ink traveled from his fingers over to Saikoro's. It flipped and mirrored before falling into perfect place on the other ninja's arm.

"Now that its in place, I'll show you a jutsu to do with it." Kyu released his comrades arm and took a step back, "Like I said, what you have on your arm is an encoded form of two things. The first is a jutsu that creates nutrient-rich water. It's a mix of classic H-two-O and a bunch of other minerals that are needed to sustain life. The second thing is the most basic blueprint for a jellyfish. Using the mineral water and by a process of trial and error, you can manipulate those blueprints to make the type of jellyfish that you need to create a new jutsu. You following me, bro?"

"The one I'm going to show you is something I whipped up. I call this one Nebula Grenade. More or less, I make a ball of nutrient ice in my hand. I manipulate the inside to create a type of jelly I engineered. When you throw it, it will explode like cover an enemy with tons of jellies. The poison in their tentacles causes a visual effect that will make it difficult to see, and give you a bit more leeway when you're trying to be stealthy during battle. I'll demonstrate."

Kyuzaku held out his hand, and charged his hand with chakra. A ball of lightly tinted water emerged, and froze over. Inside the ball formed little specks. Quickly, they multiplied into an incredible number of dimly glowing bits of jelly. Once the grenade was finished, Kyu tossed it in the air, then caught it with the back of his left hand. Kyu moved his hand dexterously and made the grenade slip right into his left palm.

Kyu outstretched his left arm, and handed Saikoro the grenade, "Give it a look over, then try it yourself."

“The scoring system was a bit obscure to me however I believe if we work as hard as possible the experience we gain from these tests will be helpful regardless of whether or not we succeed in becoming a chuunin…” Hatsuma explained calmly as she waited a moment to answer Oasis’ questions further. “I think we have a strong lead and we should be able to pick up right where we left off on our search… to me it sounds like your team wasn’t quite your speed. “ she commented thinking of things they may do during the break time between exam portions, “the poison likely wasn’t as lethal as they put on, but this country is known for its’ hard knocks way of training I wouldn’t take it personally… as for taking care of the poison I really think we should try and figure out all that it is, I’m sure it is simply side effects that are left but you probably want to be at the top of your game before that…” She commented casually presenting her opinion on the matter rather firmly. “If you like I think we should find a bath to go to, after all it was a bit dirty in that hole and we haven’t had a chance to relax since we got here. The elder said a studious worker should relax more studiously than he works… I still don’t understand it fully but I know that relaxing is important for the body to keep moving properly.” Looking around she sought out a method of navigation, through a bulletin or even street signs that might direct them to the proper area for the public baths. The baths may have originated in one country but their popularity in recent years has them springing up all over the continent.

Oasis groaned lightly "Dunno, Oasis doesn't really feel like trying hard." she complained lightly before sitting up and drawing her feet together. "Okay, maybe Oasis will keep trying hard... but still... Yea they were not Oasis' speed at all. They were a good team... Its just, hard to keep up with me." she states with a broad cat-like grin on her face. Oasis popped to her feet, though with less vitality than her usual movements and brushed herself off. "Well, I still think a poison is going a little too far." she mewls lightly as she looked to Hatsuma and nodded. "Oasis really likes the idea of going to a bath house... When we get there, maybe an herbal bath will help to alleviate some of the effects of the poison." she states as she tapped her feet against the ground lightly and then closed her eyes and sniffed at the air. "Just let Oasis lead you to water." she muses brightly before opening her eyes and pointing in what seemed like a completely random direction, however Oasis was not picking randomly, she was pointing in the exact direction of the bath house. Her ability to pinpoint water was flawless. After pointing Oasis set out with a lump of chicken stuck into her mouth from her kebab. "Its bath time!" she cheers before moving with a little more speed in the right direction.

Takera watched as the puppet addressed him rather than Notwen. At first he got the vibe that this was some kind of joke done by Notwen as a puppeteer, but after the puppet spoke and questioned Takera, it tugged at the chakra strings itself to cross it's arms. He felt it strange that the puppet could move on it's own but decided to go along with it. Knowing Notwen's brother was Novvus and the claim was serious about Novvus passing, Takera could sympathize with Notwen's interest and concern with the past events in Frost Country. He gave it a little bit of thought as he looked at the puppet, but before he could speak the old man of the shop noticed and became intrigued with the way the Novvus Puppet moved, questioning Notwen, who responded back promptly. The old man tried to hurry Takera out, but Takera didn't budge. "Hold on a second. We're not done talking just yet. I'll be out of your hair in a second. I just need to clarify something for Notwen." Takera spoke and the old man moved back once more allowing him a chance to briefly speak in respect that the two had scared away the people who terrorized his store. Takera turned to Notwen and his puppet and to play along with the puppet ordeal, he addressed them both. "I see.. Novvus was a good shinobi. I didn't honestly get much time to really talk to him at all. After landing in Lightning Country, we setup a camp in the woods. The mission was basic in thought, but not one we were ready for. We were to track down the Mist Twins who had destroyed part of the village and bring them back to be put to trial and held accountable for their crimes against the village. We were a size-able force, but my brother and I had just come from the Academy and weren't prepared for what happened." Takera paused for a second sighing lightly and thinking for a second.

"Before we could sit down and really discuss what was to come, a member of our group went rogue on us and ran off. Novvus alerted the rest of us to his actions, and before long we were confronted by Lightning shinobi. They tried to detain us regardless of our verification papers, but in an instant our team took actions to keep the shinobi restricted and we escaped into the forest to follow the traitor. We made it to the edge of the border of Lightning and Fire and one of us confronted the rest asking if we were truely ready to continue and face the twins. We all agreed, but none of us knew what we were truely in for. After making our way into the land of Frost, we managed to set up a structure to which we could come together and finally discuss a plan to fight the twins, but again we were haultered. The traitor returned and a member of ours broke off to face him while we addressed the new threat. One of the twins had ambushed us, and it seemed that the other was off hiding in the distance under the cover of snow. We were in their natural strength environment. It was a ghastly mistake to face them there. The first brother who played the lead assault on us had us under control through his various assaults and soon into the fight I was struck with a Genjutsu. I'm not clear where it came from, but from then on for a long while I was stuck in some form of Genjutsu. The snow had been so thick, and all of us got seperated from the initial hit, so I couldn't make heads or tails of the situation until a while later when suddenly the Genjutsu faded. I'm not sure what caused it to pass, but I made it out only to see my brother barely concious. He quickly faded out and in desperation and blindness from the veil of snow, I picked him up and dashed for the edge of the forest covered in snow. I tried my best to get out, but one of the twins had managed to catch me with a clone and blast the last of my energy out of my body with a Genjutsu. I passed out in the snow with Zeru at my side and when I finally came to, we had been running alongside each other following the other twin on his journey to the Earth Country. It seemed he had used some kind of mental control to make us move with him. From there we had been forced to help him. Unfortunately because of the conditions of the battlefield, I never got to see or know what happened to the rest of the group. I saw Hibiki and Kyuzaku while here, but I never could've imagined that Novvus was killed in that fight. I wish I could be of more help to you, but the circumstances left me in a bad spot. I came to Lightning because I believed that Mist would consider me a missing nin and kill me upon returning." Takera left out a light breath as he reached out and placed a sympathizing hand on Notwen's shoulder. "I'm sorry. I know how you feel. I truely do." He bowed lightly to Notwen and the puppet before turning to the old man. "I'll be going now. I've overstayed my welcome." Takera exclaimed before turning to head out the door, closing it behind him and leaving the shop.

Takera left the shop still thinking about the people from Mist he fought with in the Land of Frost. His face soon lost it's semi-cheerfulness that had come about recently as he felt the cold chill of sorrow running down his spine. "So many good people banded to fight and the actions of another shinobi cost some of those people their lives. I haven't seen Rinku, the odd beastly one, or Novvus sense then. I've only ever seen Hibiki and Kyu. Novvus really died? ...If only we had been more prepared." Takera thought to himself as he argued with himself over the past events. Soon the thoughts subsided and he came more to terms with it as he knew he couldn't change anything now. What had happened, had happened. It was time to move on, but he knew the crippled boy named Notwen might be a strong ally in the future.. or even a strong enemy. All he knew now was that they shared the pain of losing someone close to them. Takera moved down the street way and made his way back to the main bridge of Gryu'jiong. It was now dark and he'd been running and jumping from spot to spot for a while now. He didn't have anywhere else to go and sleep, so made his way back towards the medical tents. He came to a hault when the tents were in sight and slowly walked up to the entrance of the tent he originally had been in. He moved into the doorway of the tented area and walked in, looking around at everyone inside. He wondered just who didn't make it through the second unharmed. He noticed Drake in the bed across the way and began to walk towards him.

-Dream Sequence-

Drake wondered through an endless corridor, closed doors and darkness all around him. He walked pass them all, never paying attention to his surroundings. He felt as if he wasn't even there, as if this was all being done through the actions of someone else. But, he knew it was him. The familiar black duster he wore waved about as he stalked pass through the corridor. The familiar chakra when his Eye was active. Though it was much different. He felt a dark power coursing through him, and he could feel the pressure of a millennium old hatred and bloodlust beating in his mind. The surrounding were irrelevant, as they had no part in his actions. He continued to move forward, till finally, a door appeared not far from where he was. He continued on toward it, feeling a sinister smile come across his face, right when he reached the door, Drake lifted his boot and kicked it open. As he did, he saw a black figure stand up suddenly, turning with surprise in their eyes. Before the shadowy figure could speak, Drake lifted his hand, and lightning erupted forth, striking the figure square in the chest. The shadow flew backwards, hitting their back against a near-by wall. Drake walked forward toward them, hearing the person start to go into sharp coughing fits. As he got closer, he saw spatters of blood all across the ground, and more appearing as the person kept coughing. The person was finally able to lift their head, and Drake saw that it was a middle-aged man, probably in his late forties, wearing a long grey night robe. Drake suddenly felt disgusted by the mans weakness and kicked him hard in the chest with his left boot, then planted his right on top of the mans head. Drake leaned down close enough to hear the mans whimpering, knowing his fate was about to pass. Drake leaned closer, and in a whisper, asked the man something. the mans eyes went wide, and tried to shake his head even as Drakes boot was on top of it. Drake asked again, and the man refused to speak. Drake asked one more time, and this time the man tried to stand up, but Drake firmly put more pressure on to the guys head. Drake was starting to have enough of this, and asked the man one more time, adding that he will kill him right here and now if he didn't answer, then he was going to burn the place down. The man laid there on the ground and started to cry, begging for forgiveness. Then he told Drake what he wanted. Drake thanked the man, then lifted his boot off the mans head. the man stood up, then tried to run pass Drake. Before he could make it a foot toward the door, Drake threw his hand outward and sent it straight threw the mans chest. The man had a look of surprise and pain rip through his face, as blood poured from his chest wound. The man slumped to the ground, then with one last look at the corpse, Drake moved on toward the objective. As he walked along another dark corridor, he felt no remorse or guilt for the death he had just now dealt out. This the way of life, for the weak to fall before strong. drake learned long ago what weakness could do, and he wasn't going to allow any weakness to stop him and his goal. As Drake approached another door, he opened it with another kick, and found no one inside. As he moved forward, he saw what he was looking for. In a glass case in the middle of the room, sat a large black scroll, with red lettering wrapping around the cover. Drake saw the language and knew it was the right one. He smashed the case, and took the scroll. Without warning, he ripped the bindings off it, and unraveled the scroll, revealing all of its dark secrets. He read through them all as fast as he could, memorizing all of its contents. As he finished, drake dropped the scroll to the ground, then used his lightning to burn the scroll where it lay. as it burned, Drake looked over, and saw his reflection. Nothing was really diffirent, except for the fact that that the Eye was emitting a sickly orange glow from it, and behind him, he saw seven large eyes all of the same color. Then, he heard Harbinger's voice speak out, and saw that his own mouth moved with each word he said. 'Soon, all will be prepared for ascension. Their salvation shall be through destruction!'. With that, Drake turned back toward the door, leaving as the building around him burned to the ground, the screams of men, women and children in the background.

-Dream Sequence End-

Drake awoke with a start, a cold sweat on his forehead and back. He took long gasps of breath, realizing that he could hardly breath. He soon saw that he was lying in a hospital bed, with no idea how he got there. He laid back down as a fit of coughs racked through his body. He tried to think back to what happened. He remembered that he, Aya, and Hayato were attempting to get across several moving planks, and that Aya had attempted to get to a secret panel, while Hayato attempted to run across, only for both of them to fail. He remembered how he was going to try to get to the secret panel, only to feel a sensation go through him, then he blacked out. Drake tried to think back about what happened, and he remembered why he collapsed. The people had told him that the cave was filled with a poison gas, and that they were to get across the cave to reach the antidote. They failed, and now Drake could feel the poison inside him, as if it burned in his blood vessels. He also felt weaker than he was before, yet strangely, he felt different, as if a new power was in him. 'Was it the dream? Was that what it was about?' Drake had no answer for these questions, and laid in his bed thinking about the incident in the cave, and then the dream. As he laid there, he turned his head and saw his stuff laid out next to him, with a note saying to wait till he was called for the final exam. Drake got himself into a sitting position, then sorted through his stuff. Everything was accounted for, except that there was a particular scroll that he never put there. He looked at the scroll more closely, thinking he had seen it somewhere from before. Then, he remembered; This was the scroll Takera used to seal samahada in. He was taken aback, as he gave this to Takera to help him in the exams, but now it was with him again. As Drake looked at it, he instantly grabbed his pack, and stuffed the damn scroll back in there. If this was a message that he was going to have to hang onto the thing, he was going to make damn sure it never was going to leave this pack. As Drake put all of his stuff also into his pack, he started to wonder what time it was. He looked over to see through a window, and noticed it was night. He stood up to get a better look outside, and noticed that he was actually in a medical tent. The proctors must have carried him here. Drake wondered if Aya and Hayato was also here somewhere. As he looked out, he thought he saw someone walking toward his tent. He couldn't see the guy clearly, then he noticed who this guy was; it was Takera. As he looked on, Takera clearly was coming to enter, so Drake turned back and sat down on his bed.

Musica gulped and, his full attention directed right at Saikoro's knee. He let out a breath that he didn't even know he was holding, closing his eyes as the man put the knee back where it came from. Musica's relief didn't last as long as he had hoped, suddenly feeling his body being pushed forward. The boy stumbled forward, quickly regaining his balance, and turned around to yell at his partner but was cut off when Saikoro started speaking again. Easy shots, dirty fighting. Fighting without honour. How could anyone have closure as a warrior with that kind of philosophy? ”He's right, you know.” An unknown voice called from the back of Musica's mind. It sounded cocky to the point of arrogance. One of those voices that belonged to a person Musica wanted to punch in the face, on general principles. ”You ain't no warrior, boy. You're a damn shinobi, now act like one.” Shut up for a second. Musica nodded to Saikoro before turning and climbing up to the nearest roof. He stood there for a few seconds, quickly scanning the crowd for any signs of his other team mate. Upon seeing nothing the boy closed his eyes, feeling the wind blow a soft breeze in his face. It occurred to Musica that, despite not wanting to go back to Mist, he did miss the sea smell. Slowly, Musica re-opened his eyes, the real world replaced with the pitch black world of his mind. “Don't get me wrong, big guy.” Something moved directly in front of Musica but all he could see was an outline of a body. Human in shape, certainly, but impossible to gather any other details.
”I'd love to be out of here as much as the next guy.” The Outline shrugged and circled Musica casually. ”But I don't feel like dying for your stupid code.” Musica was looking around as the Outline spoke, carelessly focusing on everything but the stranger. The boy suddenly snapped his focus back to his guest, his eyes wide in an attempt to look cute. ”Why is it so dark in here?” ”Because you're an ignorant p***k and you don't know anything about the real world.” The Outline responded, as if to a slow child. “Can I go back to being melodramatic?” Musica met the figure where his eyes would have been and shrugged casually. ”Actually, you can go away back to whatever crazy bin you came from. And make it fast, I think I hear the guys with white coats. This is my mind.” The figured chuckled and bowed at the waist to Musica. The shinobi rolled his eyes as the outline faded and then turned, taking a step to walk out and greeted a tiger right in the face.
Musica's first thought was God those are big teeth. . . . as he just stared at the beast's jaw. A moment later the boy actually grew some sense and jumped back out of danger and far away enough to see his new visitor. Zhu Rong looked down at Musica from atop of his rather large tiger, whose tail flicked impatiently as it watched Musica. Possibly contemplating all of the ways to eat the kid. Zhu Rong was dressed head to toe in gold and crimson armour, like their last meeting. Musica threw his hands up in the air and let out a huff of air. “Okay, seriously! Can I not get privacy anymore?! It is my mind, right?” He crossed his arms over his chest as Zhu Rong quietly starred at him, the boy matching the man's gaze fiercely. “So, you're a god, right?” Musica asked slowly, slowly calming down. “That means you know things. Can you tell me what the hell that was just then?” Zhu Rong just shrugged, his armour not even making a sound. This armour wasn't for show or tradition: it had a purpose, to protect it's wearer, and it did it. ”It's you.” He responded simply, as if it were common knowledge. Musica blinked once, and then again. ”But. . . . I'm me.” Zhu Rong just stared at the boy, waiting for him to get a simple math equation. Musica shoved his hands into his pockets, looking at Zhu Rong sullenly. ”Why can't gods ever give a straight answer?” He mumbled.
”Because they don't have time to sit here and wonder about your psychological welfare.” Zhu Rong hopped down from his tiger. ”You need to find Titan's temple, and you haven't even mastered my power yet.” Musica locked his gaze with the god's, removing his hands from his pockets as Zhu Rong unsheathed his sword, the blade suddenly erupting into flames. ”How the hell do I master a power, when there wasn't anyone to teach me how?” Musica asked as he and Zhu Rong started walking to their side, making a circle. ”What the hell is your power, anyway?” Zhu Rong tightened his grip on his sword and stopped walking. ”I'm a god of fire,” He responded before he lunged at Musica, bring his sword back to strike. ”Figure it out!” Musica ducked under the flaming blade and back flipped a safe distance a way. Or tried to. The moment he stopped moving, Zhu Rong was on him again, already bringing his sword down. Musica barely managed to step to the side of the sword, the heat of the fire a presence on it's own. Quickly, Musica rammed his shoulder into Zhu Rong's chest, managing to knock him back a step, before throwing a right hook at the god's face. The man released a hand from his sword and grabbed the boy's fist and held it there firmly, using the other hand to slash at Musica's neck. He stopped the blade at the last second, the fire casting an orange glow on the boy's throat, casting dancing shadows on his skin. “Time doesn't pass here like it does in your world.” Zhu Rong said, staring Musica dead in the eyes. ”A second in the world can equal any amount of time here.” The god slashed the air with his sword, the fire dying out immediately, and the sheathed the blade. ”In real time, we'll be together for ten minutes. I won't tell you what it will be here. But one way or another, you'll learn quick.”

Musica opened his eyes, the sights and sounds of the village rushing to greet him. Musica stood from his sitting position and stretched, all of his joints popping from being still for ten minutes. The number of Genin had died down from before, only a few wounded or tired ones sitting or laying down, refilling energy or bandaging wounds. But Kira wasn't anywhere to be seen. ”Figures,” Musica muttered. ”I missed him. Maybe he's with Saikoro by now?” He jumped over to the next building, scanning the streets for his partner. As he searched the streets, Musica couldn't help feeling different. Maybe I have jetlag? Musica shrugged as he looked down at a rather deserted street. It didn't take long to find Saikoro, his sword making him a very big target.. Kira isn't with him. But, Musica shifted his gaze to the person with Saikoro. Who's that? And why do I have the sudden urge to fillet him? He shrugged again and jumped down, landing in the path of the two shinobi, sliding a hand into his pocket when he hit the ground. ”I'm guessing you haven't seen Kira, have you?” Musica's eye brow rose as he caught a glimpse of what looked like a ball of ice in Saikoro's hand. ”And what the hell is that?” He added, concerned less about what it actually was and more with what Saikoro could do with a new toy. He doesn't need any more toys.
