LW dropped the rocks on the ground (careful of her feet of course) and joined the black dog next to her stuff. She poked at the plank and wrinkled her nose before flicking her tail around to try and get the vine off if it. "Not sure. Seems we had similar findings. Except I have this jackdamned vine stuck on my tail!" She growled at it and continued to slowly unwind it.

Nose wrinkling again, she sneezed. Whatever that lichen was, it was almost too sweet to her nose. Just what could she build with all of this anyway? "The rocks might be useful should we need to knock someone out." LW offered Tybalt with a grin.

Half the vine was off her tail now. And it really was a pretty long piece of vine, now that she was able to see it laying in a pile next to her other finds. "Nooooope." She glanced sideways. "You have any ideas?" Her gaze went back to what they both had found. "I can't even think of anything I could make out of this stuff." Well, that wasn't fully true. But everything that kept coming to mind involved ways to make the rocks fly at people. That was just dangerous.

"And what a lovely vine it is!" He teased, tugging at it lightly before he actually started to help untangle it. Though how she had managed to get it like this, he would never know. "Wow! Good job with this!" He said tugging at the vine again. "You're pretty talented!" He added sarcastically. In good humor of course.

"Oh really?" His ears perked at the idea of smacking someone with the rocks. One face in particular popping into his mind. "Think we'd get away with taking them later?" He asked and nudged the she-wolf. He was joking of course. Or at least... he mostly was.

"Jackdamn! You really do have this tangled." He huffed. Still working away at what was fast becoming a knot, before he shrugged in response to her question. "Heh, if I had any ideas, I wouldn't have asked." He added with a grin; finally tugging the vine free from her tail and holding it up for her to see.

Jove trotted along with the group, both curious and confused as to why they were leaving the room. They weren't learning math after all? Part of him tried to gauge the appropriate reaction from his classmates, but little Tomoko was starting to sniffle, Junko was staring weirdly at the professor, Tybalt was ecstatic, and Sheridan looked ready to just walk out. And head to the library to learn real things instead of following the professor.

The pup decided his first reaction was appropriate anyway. So he followed the group as they were led outside, his expression brightening as they headed into the woods. He loved the woods.

At the teacher's instruction, he wandered a little farther away from the group in search of these 'building materials'. He went into the woods so often on his own, so he wasn't afraid of distancing himself from the group. He kept himself within sight's distance of Seiji though, knowing the older ghost would throw a worried fit or something if he wandered away entirely.

The first thing he grabbed was a small handful of mushrooms, a personal favourite. He couldn't resist. Then he stumbled across a giant, concave beetle shell, and picked up a couple sticks for good measure. he dumped them all into the shell like a bizarre forest salad, and trotted back to the group. It looked like LW and Tybalt had also found some fun things, so he made his way over to them and favoured them with a curious expression.

For a few moments Sparrow just stared blankly at their professor - or rather, at the dragon who wasn't really their professor and was, in fact, simply filling in for their professor. A wave of disappointment swept through him when he realized that they weren't to be doing any mathematics; that was why he had been so interested in the class in the first place! Dejectedly, Sparrow pushed himself to his feet, attempting to hide the unhappy expression on his face by replacing it with an easy smile.

"Where are we going, anyway?" he asked, stepping up to the shewolf, LW, his hands slipping into the pockets of his slacks. She really was very pretty; and that blush that had spread across her cheeks when he had mentioned that was quite endearing, making him wish to speak to her more. Ahead of them trotted little Jove, whom Sparrow kept a subtle eye on, glancing curiously towards her every few moments.

When they reached the woods, Sparrow's dejection was made even more infinite. "Materials?" he repeated, brows furrowing in confusion. It seemed as if they would not be getting any sort of further instructions yet, so with a small sign of resignation, he set about gathering up whatever he could.

After a few moments he was able to come up with some rocks, a rather disgusting looking plank of wood, as well as the shell of a beetle. Perhaps not the best "materials," but, then again, Sparrow wasn't entirely certain what they were doing anyway.

"Er, professor..?" he asked, swinging the plank around. "Might one ask what we are doing..?"

LW glared at the vine in question as she worked to get it off as well. "It's is a pretty vine, ain't it?" She gave Tybalt a small smile that said she was going to get him if he didn't stop teasing. Not that she really would. Or...alright that was a lie. She totally would chase the black dog around for fun! Hell, the two of them would probably learn more if they raced around the forest in canine form instead of building things. "Ah shutup, you!" The she-wolf smacked at him before resuming her task.

"You want to shove one of these rocks in your pocket?" She gave him a look. Really, there could only be one person that gained that smirk from Tybalt. "And if I hear anything crash against the ceiling, I'll come give you both a lovely view of my fangs." Really, there could only be one person that gained that smirk from Tybalt. Boils!

"GAH! I don't even know how I did it. Was getting that plank there and next thing I knew, my tail was all tangled in this vine." To her immense pleasure, Tybalt finally succeeded in getting it untangled from her tail. The she-wolf carefully tugged at it while he held it up and had to admit she was impressed with how long it was. "This...could be useful. Think we can tie our rocks up with it?" That was probably dangerous. Make a weapon that could be wielded like a deadly sling shot.

Her ears picked up the soft sound of feet padding their way. She looked up and grinned. "Hey pup! What did you manage to find?" LW asked, glancing at the shell he held. "We got rocks, planks with funny smelling lichen, and this vine." The last, she shot a glare at. Then glanced up again when she heard Sparrow's voice again. So he'd found some stuff too, had he? LW had to admit sheepishly that she'd...gotten a little excited over the prospect of going outside into the woods and might have...ditched the poor boil. But she was happily sitting with Tybalt and Jove so it wouldn't hurt to have him join them!

"What did you find, Sparrow?" She asked cheerfully, motioning him to join their little group. "Anything more interesting then rocks, vines or planks of wood?"

"Hey Jove!" He called. Waving to the little wisp from where he sat. "Whatcha' got there?" He asked; pointing specifically towards the beetle shell that was holding all of Jove's items. Now that was a find!

"Why yes~ And if you hold still long enough, I might be able to tie it into a bow for you!" He teased again at LW; only to rub at his arm with a wide grin when she smacked him.

"Err... Well maybe not in my pockets... But I can hide them in my hood!" He suggested; tugging his hood up and over his head to show her. "Wonder how many I can fit..." He thought aloud. Picking up one of the rocks to observe, before he compared the size of the rock to his hood. "Three, you think?" He asked, but tossed it back to the ground to prove he was joking.

"Why would you want to tie them up?" He asked again; confused and unsure of what she was talking about. But didn't ask further when she called someone else to join them. This time it was someone he was unfamiliar with.

Sparrow? Who was that? Friend of hers?

"Hey! My rocks are a nice find!" He added in his defense and mock pouted when she asked for the newcomers results in his search.

Wait, so they weren't doing math? No numbers? YES! And even better, the professor was a dragon . . . even if he looked a bit more related to those (un?)dead dragons Aksaja had seen around than himself, Jericho, or Sheridan. Tromping out toward the woods with the others, Aksaja got a bit lost in thought as they walked, only coming out of his daze when they were told to find materials.

Blinking a bit, the lightning dragon glanced about, then picked up a couple of long vines and some kind of weird-looking plank with green stuff on the end of it. "Do these work?" he asked, holding them up. Just what were they supposed to be making, anyway?

While the students went about their hunting, the substitute teacher watched over them like a silent shepherd. Unlike many dragons he was calm and relaxed. On occasion one of his long ears would flick back or forth to catch sounds nearby, and he looked around as though admiring the forest's sights and sounds. Definitely not a firebreather.

When a small bird alighted on one of his horns, he smiled, and then coaxed it onto one finger to admire the little thing before it flew away.

When he finally spoke again it was with a calm tone, and he didn't raise his voice any. "Students, please begin taking your finds back to the classroom, we will begin our building shortly."

((OOC:

If you still haven't found materials, please follow the instructions on page 5 before the professor's next post and head on back to the classroom. =3 There will be another day or two before we progress, seeing as open house was all so exciting and whatnot. XD))

Christof had almost fallen asleep at hid desk when suddenly the students around him began murmuring and moving. What was going on? What had he missed? Head craning up, he caught the tail end of the professor's explanation... building something? He perked up immediately. That sounded a lot more up his alley than Maths, that was for certain!

With renewed vigor, he hobbled from the class after the rest, trying to keep up. It would seem that by the time he made it outside, their supplies were.... pretty picked over. Everyone was heading back inside as well, carting their finds. He had to hurry.

Amongst the grass, he found a rather slimy, but still... somewhat sturdy plank, absolutely covered in mushrooms. Oh, fantastic. He wasn't sure what he could DO with these building materials, but they were out of time.

He would just have to make due.

"A... Pup squeak?" She echoed, looking at the one Levi had called 'Rex'. Before she could ask anything else though, the professor walked in, prompting Lizzy to settle down and watch as he moved across the room. She had never seen him around before, so he must be a new staff? She did shoot Levi a confused look at the professor's instructions for them to go gather materials outside, since it was starting to sound like... Arts and Crafts rather than mathematics.

Then again, who was she to question a professor, right? He had already said that they wouldn't be doing 'math' today.

She followed the class out, sticking close to her friend but moving away when it was time to look for materials in the woods. She first found a slimy plank with lichen on one end... Despite the sliminess, she figured that the wood might be good for something later, and picked it up by the corner, careful not to get any of the slimy stuff on herself; that would probably be difficult to wash off!

Wondering around, she then spotted something shimmering out of the corner of her eye. Picking it up, what she thought was a pebble ended up as a giant beetle shell. Well... At least it's pretty to look that? Beside that, she found some mushrooms growing at the base of a tree. Not quite sure what else she could find, she decided to harvest them, ending up with a small handful of mushrooms before she returned to Levi's side.

"Your materials do look sturdy," She giggled, "In comparison to mine, especially!"

Mitsu's ears deflated. They were going to have to drag all this back to the classroom now? Shun wouldn't be able to carry her rocks for her if he had all of his things in tow....perhaps it had been a poor choice in building materials. It was too late to find something else though.

Gathering up her vines Mitsu tried to find the best way to carry them but mostly they dragged the ground around her. So that she wouldn't burden Shun the lupine reached for the rocks she had found, stacked them on top of one another, and hoisted them up. Oh they were heavy! This was certainly a bad idea. It was going to take her a while of slow steps to make it back to the classroom. Hopefully she didn't fall on the way.

Hearing the professor speak up, Shun glanced towards the dragon and nodded silently. Before lifting his things back up, he looked over towards Mitsu to see if she needed help bringing things inside. However, it looked like she had some sort of system going for her. Figuring that she might have things covered now, he gathered up his resources and started to head back into the classroom.

Tomoko was not meant to survive on her own, based on the fact that she had picked up two rocks and a stick in her 'supply' gathering and in turn had struggled to balance them alongside of her ball of stars, hobbling about as the teacher instructed them to head off to the classroom.

The kitsune had frowned, looking at how dirty her 'supplies' were, then at her dress. She ultimately reneged to the fact that this meant she was going to have to get dirty, cradling all four of the items in the crook of one of her arms and ambling off towards the classroom, her head held low.

"I don't know what I can do with these things..." she mumbled, the idea of trying to throw one of them passing through her head, but that seemed inconvenient, at best. She couldn't throw things that far!

But she did as she was told anyways, seeming to droop in posture.

So many things were going on now that it was hard to keep track. The ghoul continued their conversations, the reaper had turned his attention to another ghoul sitting near him, and Seiji had somewhat spaced out after giving Jove an approving glance.

He remained this way until their teacher addressed them, snapping out of his stupor as something in his peripheral caught his attention. Junko was gazing at the bone dragon professor. It was not a casual look, and it had the ghost boil sitting up a little straighter, leaning so his shoulder was touching the ghoul's. A deep frown cutting gray features. He didn't like it, not one little bit. And he likely would have mentioned it had they not been ushered out of the room.

With a huff he followed the others, hands sinking into his pockets as he regarded their teacher from a distance. He didn't get it. Sure he was handsome, even Seiji could admit that much, and he had a unique sense of sty- Oh, OH. Got it. Check. The frown faded, replaced by an almost exasperated expression. He should have known.

Once outside, he joined his fellow classmates as they gathered supplies. For what, he wasn't sure, he hadn't been paying attention. Attention rather split between looking for useful things and keeping an eye on his friends. Specifically the younger pair.

All in all his gathering hadn't been all that fruitful. He'd found a handful of sticks, 4 to be exact, and a bunch of strange looking mushrooms. Ah well, it would have to do. They were being shepherded back into class.

Setting his things on his desk, he reclaimed his seat. Peeking over at Momo's pile curiously. "Least you found a variety."
