Anues

It took him longer than usual to appear, but his sources were only so reliable. It was during the period of the guild's final mission that he'd told Alice to keep her eyes open for Aire within the guilds. He was no idiot. He assumed who was going and who was not. Alfred was one of those to stay behind... leaving no true threat between him, and Aire. Of course she would make an attempt, but perhaps her timing was a bit too late-- not that he supported it regardless.
It wasn't until moments ago that Alice's psychic touched his; informing him of Aire's presence within the guilds, but she just as quickly left. Still, within that short period, something happened. The older sibling felt her stomach churn with the other Gardevoir's presence looming. That, if anything, was enough to make Anues react immediately.

He teleported into the lower level of the bar without warning, his eyes meeting Thorn's only for a fraction of a second before teleporting again before his feet could touch the ground. He wasn't looking at Thorn exactly for that flash of a moment. He was merely checking for the female Gardevoir. His next teleport was a given.

"You're an idiot." Anues' voice spoke over the shrill of his teleport as he walked into the office. His usually distant or unmindful expression was rather clearly tainted with annoyance. Something hardly ever directed at Aire specifically. He halted rather quickly, keeping a sense a distance between himself and the female. "Why were you there? Why didn't you say anything?" His thoughts weren't entirely organized yet as his mind was still trying to catch up with what even happened alone. The lightly toned Gardevoir's silence left him staring at the patching around the female's waist for seconds before exhaling and shaking his head, unable to find words otherwise. He was more upset with himself rather than her, but her impulsive behavior wasn't to be disregarded. Still, he expected her to act as much so naturally he should have been there to stop it from happening. "You're going to get yourself killed next time. This was just a warning, I'm sure. Regardless of what you may call it." Anues waved his hand dismissively and turn to walk toward the female's desk in one fluid motion as he spoke. Perhaps the papers left behind would give him some answer as to how long ago she left exactly.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 06, 2012 3:03 pm

"Shut up. Shut up, who asked you?"
Aire's responses were short and hasty, slurred and filled with vehemence.
She spun in her chair behind the desk in quick sharp movements, the half filled drink in the wine glass she held sloshed back and forth across her hand, the floor, the desk...
The bandage around her waist was bound tightly, Thorn fearing she'd tear it off in anger, and visible as she'd discarded her coat on the desk in front of her as well.
There were noticeable stiches along the torn sides, her attempts to repair the damage though she had long since stopped.
A combination of frustration and alcohol made sewing impossible and her attempts simply left her constantly pricking her finger and swearing loudly.

"He's my son. I'll be DAMNED if some other Pokemon tells me what I can and can't do with my own son. I JUST wanted to talk, he is an unreasonable waste of space and his death will be SLOW and PAINFUL."
She continued spinning until she'd all but lost the contents of her glass and chucked it to the ground simply to watch it shatter into pieces with a deranged chuckle as though envisioning the Scyther's face somewhere on the booze stained cup.

"And WHERE were YOU? Aren't you suppose to defend me from this s**t? What is your job here anyways? Waste of god damn space?!"

Anues

Anues fixed himself to face the female in silence, his arms retreating behind his back idly as she spoke and acted on. If he was listening at all, he didn't seem to take her words to heart in the least bit as his eyes derailed elsewhere while Aire took a moment to spin about in her chair. "Errands." He stepped around the shattered glass on that note, ending up beside the female as he halted the chair by simply raising his leg against it before proceeding to push it out from behind the desk with every other step. "He is your son, yes, but there's more ways than one to go about seeing him... Threatening, violence-- whatever you chose was clearly the wrong option, now wasn't it?"
He eyed the top of her head before walking around the now free chair to face her, his arms dropping back to his sides while his right hand was left open before her to offer assistance in getting up without possibly falling and giving herself a concussion... or she'd just reject the offer altogether. Both were more likely than her moving.

He couldn't stay mad at her-- at least, he couldn't show it. Any wrong emotion on his behalf and she'll react accordingly. Honestly, he didn't need it. Just getting her to cooperate would be fine. Get her to bed and go about his own business.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 06, 2012 3:36 pm

"I wasn't threatening or anything I was just there and he-" She swung her hand to knock his away, a quick 'no thank you' to his offer for assitance minus the politeness the situation might call for.
She hardly had the patience to care for his chivalry. She was pissed, she wanted to pick a fight and his passive manners only drove her into further fury than what he hoped to do, that being calm her down.
Aire had two bottles of straight shot swilling in her stomach and a need to hurt something, she wasn't going to calm down anytime soon.
Standing on her own right, wobbling unsteady and kicking the chair from behind her so that, should she fall, she'd hit the floor and not a cushion, both green eyes narowed at the male Gardevoir and she swung her hand again at his face.
Luckily, her depth perception was sorely lacking due to large quanities of alcohol and so she only batted at his bangs before grabbing the edge of the desk to support herself.
"I didn't do ANYTHING wrong. I was just THERE. HE threatened ME. HE cut ME. Why am I always at fault?!"
She clenched her hands into fists, leaning on the desk now, and pushed them up to her eyes to try and force back another fresh wave of tears. All the while swearing angrily...

Anues

His hand tensed slightly at the sudden stinging before dropping it back to his side with a sigh. He briefly looked as if he had no idea what to do or say exactly, at least until reflex had the male flinch back at the sight of her hand in her attempt to smack him though it didn't seem to go as planned. It never really did. Naturally Anues quickly rebounded assuming the female was bound to collapse due to the force of the attempted assault, but quickly halted when she instead caught herself, leaving his posture to straighten once again in short relief. "Aire--" Anues paused as she continued her rant, his ears giving the slightest flicker in attent at her words. He frowned, holding his position for but a second before simply shaking his head and stepping forward where he turned the other Gardevoir around in a quick, supported manner to prevent anymore potential collapses before promptly resting his hands on her shoulders. "Aire," The address didn't resume its scolding tone his voice held prior. Instead, he sounded almost exhausted though his hard stare at her was far more comforting. "He shouldn't have struck you, no. It's not all your fault." She was hard to keep up with. Her intentions lean one way, her attitude leans the other and thus this happens. He's known it for a while, he just never saw it in action in such a way until now. It was saddening.
"It's not all over, alright? All you need is a better approach. Most people aren't as strict as you are and they're not as tolerable as I am." Strict was hardly the word for it, but for Aire personally it may have been. It was worth a shot to try and level with her. "Do me a favor? All I want you to do is calm down." Anues frowned inwardly. It was..a lot to ask for. Perhaps he would need to take things into his own hands. He didn't know yet. but Arie making the first approach was... not a good idea. Definitely not after this. He went silent for a moment, his eyes leaving her's to travel aimlessly as they so often did when he was trying to put ideas together but they quickly returned. "Just... allow me to come along next time. I'll figure out something, I promise."

Aire stepped back, pulling away from his hands and comforting words and sat back down with a sound akin to choking.
She'd drank enough that her anger was quick and ferocious but it hardly lasted long before she swapped emotions entirely. That being to even more pissed off than before.
Alcohol was never good to psychics, something about it altered their senses and scattered their ability to access their psychic properly.
As such, determining his exact meaning behind words was a tad difficult. He was probably just trying to keep her from marching back to the guild and Guillotining that Scyther clean in half. Which wasn't a half bad idea, if she wasn't in the right mind she'd do exactly that.
Ah wait, she wasn't...drunk and all. Excellent, she had something to blame for this.
"Alright fine, you can come next time...that being now. We're going back and we're going do violent things and you're going to teleport me back since...I can't."
Yeah, he could play designated teleporter.
Standing suddenly she pushed herself from the chair with an awkward, swaying hobble.
"Get my spare coat." Because she forgot which direction the closet was in.
"I haven't killed anyone in ages."

Anues

Anues stepped back in silence as he was once again rejected by the female. What he was expecting to be an uneasy agreement was actually much different. At the mention of going now, the male blinked and stared at her, unable to reply right away. Was she serious? In this condition? Fine, granted, Aire was pissed but this was stupid even coming from her, and, as the male's shock passed, his eyes narrowed at her. "Absolutely not. You're in no condition to go back there. God, Aire, you're asking to get yourself killed-- you can't even walk. Besides..." Anues stepped back toward Aire's side as he spoke. There was no tension from him to forewarn of his quick, fluent action which was to nonchalantly backhand the female's side in passing before making a casual retreat back to the couch where he turned in place and sat down. "... do you honestly think you can keep up with that ancient after what he did to you when sober? He'll kill you." Granted Tolin would have to kill him first but it wasn't like Aire was even in her right mind to finish the job before getting herself killed.

With that he rested his arm against the armrest of the couch with his head to follow in wait. His intent stare at her never faltered regardless of words spoken or actions taken. His goal was simple, make Aire turn on him personally, forget this entirely in the moment and move on. There was nothing to regret, he knew what he had coming and Aire's only risk in the matter was hurting herself. If it was a success, good. If it wasn't... Well, Aire probably couldn't teleport herself out of the room let alone to the guilds.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 07, 2012 4:40 pm

Aire's eyes narrowed into sharpened emeralds, she grit her teeth and clenched her fist, all the while she tried to bore holes into his forehead from her venomous looks alone.
When his hand lashed out it came as a shock, her anger disapated in favor of a pained squeak that escaped her before she could catch herself. It hadn't been a particularly hard strike, but all the same it hurt in more ways than mere physical agony.
Unconciously she lashed out a hand only to find he'd retreated long before she had registered the assault.
The distance did nothing to daunt her, even if she couldn't walk a straight line she could still hurl a psychic like nobodies business.
Her eyes glinted pale green around the edges, a glow working its way from her pupil outward. In the same instance the desk she stood behind began to emit the same eerie chartruese illumination before she flung it toward him with a scream of rage.
Luckily for Anue, her aim was off thanks to the large quantities of alcohol, and so the desk skimmed the air directly above his head to crash through the window behind the couch.
Downstairs a series of sharp squeals and a curse from Thorn signified that their fight was now public.
"Little b***h! I took you in, I gave you work! How dare you strike me! How dare you tell me no!"
And then the chairs left behind from the desk went flying at him.

The Gardevoir took a sharp inhale as her anger began to excell but he didn't move just yet. At least, not until Aire managed to get the desk airborne and he dropped to the floor from where he sat instantly on reflex before moving his hands from his head to look up at her in mild shock and anticipation. He knew she would go at him, but with killing intent, he did not. It was frightening, but it was too late to give into that. That would just cause hesitation and in turn, potential death.
Anues' ears gave the slightest motion at the sound of the sudden cries-- or more specifically Thorn's voice from below before cursing to himself inwardly. Hopefully she wasn't dumb enough to come barging up here. His wishful thinking wouldn't last long though before his attention turned back upwards just as the chairs left the ground-- and he was still laying there. Anues held his breath as he teleported and reappeared before Aire herself. He didn't waste any time in grabbing her wrists and shoving her back against the wall, using his own weight to keep her there otherwise. "Tell you no? Do you want to get yourself killed?! You asked me what my job was around here and well Aire, I'm doing it. I'm stopping you from getting yourself intro trouble." And, that was by any circumstances necessary. "I'm sorry I need to be forceful, but it's only to stop you from getting into anymore trouble than you already are." Anues felt uneasy, but what could he do? Truthfully, he assumed her psychic would be too screwed over by this point to do...well, anything. Oh well. He could always knock her out if she wasn't willing to listen. At least Thorn was there to clean up whatever possible mess both or either of them would become.

She screamed in his face, her outrage too great to form coherent sentences. As such she was reduced to hissing at him like some kind of enraged serpent.
There was really no way he could overpower her, drunk or not. He was smaller in stature and build, not to mention that even with her Psychic haywire it was still more than a match for him.
Aire lashed out with a kick at him to push the male Gardevoir off of herself before hooking her Psychic into the nearby bookshelf and flinging the thick volumes at him in a barrage of leather-bound paper.

In some sense she understood what he was saying. Knew he only looked out for her best interest. That goingback to confront that Scyther was pure stupidity. All the same she resented him for it. She hated that she needed to rely on someone.
Aire was a solitary creature, she'd trusted one Pokemon once before and he'd stabbed her in the back and ruined her life. Second chancs were not in her nature to give. You didn't get a second chance if you died...then why get one in life?

Anues

Anues stumbled back as he was shoved off the female before teleporting back for further distance. He was still then as the mess of books did no more than splatter against the indistinct, circular barrier around him, bringing it's off purple coloring to life on impact before simply sliding off and falling onto the ground harmlessly. Anues held his silence after that; just staring at the female. It was then that he finally ordered Thorn upstairs through telepathy naturally. Aire likely would have overreacted otherwise.
She came up quicker than he expected and, of course, not as calm as he'd hoped. Granted Aire's attention turned with the intruder, Anues' immediate response was to tackle the enraged Gardevoir to the ground to prevent her from possibly killing Thorn instead. It wouldn't go smoothly between Thorn's short lived shock and Aire managing the slap the male across the face, leaving him temporarily stunned as her hand came back to just as quickly grab onto his throat, reinforced by her rage. Robbing him of his ability to breathe, and in turn speak, the Gardevoir did little more than reach up on reflex to try and pull her grip off of him but weakness would come quickly with his lack of air. All the while she mumbled something or another as she glared him into submission though he was long into distress to otherwise figure out whatever it could have been--- directed at him or not.

It was then that Thorn reeled back to reality and stepped in, blessed with the ability to put others to sleep as most of her typing did. It wouldn't last long, but she was going to kill him otherwise. The majority of time during the female's unconsciousness was spent with Thorn now instead losing her mind over the male Gardevoir, threatening for answers and looking him over for any injury. The rest of his time was spent downstairs with the Grass type who'd already closed the bar early due to the incident, if one could call it as much. They still didn't bother doing anything about her desk.
He hated to admit to it, but he was scared to be upstairs with Aire for the moment-- unconscious or not and, after seeing the resulting bruising on his throat, Thorn didn't bother him to check up on her. Chances are Anues was keeping tabs on her for any signs of consciousness anyway.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 11, 2012 6:04 pm

Her eyes snapped open with the sound of a hundred papparazi cameras, instantly awake, instantly alert, it was hardly surprisingly when the resulting influx of realization sent her bolt upright in the mere seconds she'd returned to consciousness.
Each thought, each memory unfolded in a brutally slow fashion and she replayed the events of earlier from start to finish with a grim expression though she didn't move from her place on the bed.
Aire was appalled at herself, at her state of mind of her actions. She felt disturbed, regretful. Once again she'd acted on impulse, on anger. Raising a hand to her forehead in distress she pulled her legs up to her chest and inhaled sharply in a manner akin to someone who just realized they picked out a red shirt rather than a blue shirt.
While she did feel awful what what had occured, she was still Aire and as such she did not hold herself accountable for her actios. Immediately her mind set out to find someone to blame and the natural scape goat stepped into thought with little hesitation.
That ******** Scyther.
It wasn't her fault. It still wasn't. There was no doubt in Aire's mine that Tolin was held to blame for all her troubles.

"You idiot."
Aire's green gaze lifted up slightly at the words spoken with such vehemence she couldn't believe that it belonged to the Roserade now standing in the doorway with no real desire to enter the room.
"You damned idiot. I can't believe you, you've found a new low to sink to."
In disgust the Grass type turned and stalked off without another word, leaving Aire to further dwell on her intense dislike of Insects as well as her inability to accept the consequences of her own actions.

Anues

He promptly sat up as Thorn made her way up the stairs, his eyes never leaving the small grass type's figure. He kept a passive stare at her, at least until she spoke forcing the Gardevoir's glance into a glare on cue. Anues didn't particularly blame her wording, but it didn't have to be spoken aloud. As Thorn made her decent, he stood. He had nothing to say to her-- or rather, nothing worth saying. The look was probably enough though it quickly faded as he took a deep breath before teleporting back to Aire for better or worse. He simply just didn't want her to be alone and he was the only wall she had to vent at.

"Well that was quite the show. You seem to be doing better now though, I assume?" Anues reappeared sitting on the overturned bookshelf and crossed his legs idly as he stared down the other Gardevoir. He kept a sense of distance he normally wouldn't after other episodes she'd have and his eyes were fixated on her in a sense of mild concern, but as well as caution. "I'll have this mess cleaned before long, but you should consider a break." Anues broke his stare as he crossed his arms and scanned the room. She destroyed the place for sure, but it was hardly an issue for the psychic whenever he got around to that.
Truthfully, he was at a bit of a loss for words. There was plenty to discuss-- too much to discuss but he couldn't bring it up despite silently contemplating it since the hostility began.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 18, 2012 7:05 pm

If Thorn particuarly cared over Anues disagreement on her word choicing she didn't show it. If anything she matched his glare with her own as they passed on her way downstairs and when he teleported she gave a snort of displeasure and pushed the entire matter out of her mind.
Fine.
Let him deal with Aire, and if he gets throttled again she wouldn't be saving his sorry a** a second time. After all, only a fool went back for more punishment and while she respected his intelligence she found his general mindset almost child-like.
Or retarded.
At least when it came to Aire.

His words to the female Psychi did little to dilute her fury at Thorn's previous message. Quite the opposite, his almost careless tone seemed to envoke in her more fury than before.
She wouldn't apologize, not even after catching his gaze and then dropping it to note the vivid purple dotting his throat.
It wasn't her fault. It was never her fault. She'd be damned otherwise.
"I'm not at fault here." She responded bitterly, answering a question that wasn't asked. She could care less if the entire place was in shambles, it still didn't fall on her shoulders, she still didn't take the blame.
"It's my bar. I'll break it if I want to."
Aire dug in her stubborness, steeled herself like a spoiled child preparing to scream until her wishes were granted.

Anues

Anues listened to her in silence, his attention that turned to her quickly dulled as she, even now, continued to mindlessly repeat herself. He was honestly hoping to move on already but Aire could never be depended on for such things. The male Gardevoir didn't respond right away, but instead let the strangely eerie silence linger for a moment before taking a breath and finally speaking. "Are you not, or are you trying to convince yourself of such? Either way, it doesn't matter anymore." His arms crossed and his gaze met her for a moment as he responded though it just as quickly left again in favor of drifting about the room for what he could see at his angle. He couldn't level with Aire. Not because he chose not to, but simply because he couldn't. She had a thought process impossible to keep up with. Aire knew what happened, she was aware if what she did; regardless of whose fault it was. One's conscience just worked that way.
"I'm not mad at you. There's no reason to continue pointing fingers... Tell me, Aire, what do you want? What do you honestly want me to tell you? I'm curious." Then, Anues idled in wait, staring at the female once again. Only a second or two passed before the male looked borderline amused; as if he hadn't mentally played back his question until just then. In actuality, he was regretting that subconsciously asked question before proceeding to respond to it's unanswered state. "I'll do something over time; but you need to promise me something-- and that's simply to stay away from the guilds... Less my job becomes harder, if not impossible." He frowned as he continued to look on.

Getting Aire into an agreement. It was easier said than done but here's to hoping. Truthfully, there was no idea, no lead. Anues wasn't sure what to do but having Aire run along to potentially get herself killed wasn't an option. God forbid he dare leave her side. At least an agreement would keep his mentality leveled-- for a while, at least. Hopefully long enough. The only let on to his thoughts was an uncertain flicker in his eyes as he dwelled in silence; tapping at him arm subconsciously before letting them drop to his sides as he stood. "Moving on," It was a casual attempt to change the subject. He no longer felt the need, or want to have it linger. Of course, that was Aire's call. The Roserade wouldn't be wrong for thinking him a tool-- most of the time, at least.
