But they look the same to me every year. They had a few smily face ones but only one actually went of in a way that you could tell what they were.
Yeah I'm hoping for something. And as bad as this sounds to wish on someone but I want to see what they would do if Cena was injured in a way that calls for him to take a leave like the Divas do? Get back to making a good show?
Anyhow it's about time that the heels started ruling things again. As it seems now that ratio to face/heel is off with more faces, they just don't make as much noise since Cena is the one always shouting in a mic.

Well, something like that would certainly put the WWE on the spot. It would challenge them to stay afloat by having to think of a future without John Cena. It'll happen sooner or later, but they need the rude awakening soon. Speaking of which though, now we know Punk isn't going to win at MitB. Cena's a** is on the line after all.

Though I'm aware of the situation did they say what Punk was going to do after his release? I don't think he'd go back to TNA, they tend to pull the same crap only it feels like reheated crap.
I just realized something. When Punk does leave WWE is going to be really really boring. This is the most excitement we've gotten from them and it's thanks to unscripted stuff.

I don't know. I really have no idea what's next for Punk. All I can guess is he's going to one of the venues he mentioned in his rant. TNA does seem rather stale and repetitive as well. At least they try to keep as many people on the show involved and doing things though. Too many WWE superstars you end up forgetting even exist. Like was it earlier this week, Zach Ryder made an appearance on RAW and did his "Woo woo woo" thing to the audience. Unless you watch Superstars none of that would have made any sense, which It appeared the crowd that night weren't quite up to speed on Superstars. They seemed incredibly baffled.
I notice they like triple threat matches for #1 contender lately. Only problem, it's always two heels and Rey Mysterio. Why even have Rey there? We KNOW he's never going to win those. He has just as many kid fans as John Cena does, if not more. They'll never pit him against Cena for the championship, cause they'll never have him turn heel.

Rey could be the next good face, and he could be a good heel that competes for the belt against Cena. It's annoying how they do use him and build him up but at most he'll get the intercont title.
Also I'm tried of the crowded matches they've been doing lately. I mean why have so many wrestlers if you're just going to throw them all together in the ring once in a while to show that they are still there.
WWE could cut out the half hour of talk first thing in the show, cut it down nice and simple. Plaster some ads about the arena for sponsorship so the number of commercials can be cut down a bit so at least 20 minutes can be used to show those other wrestlers.

So Sting is the Joker, kinda, maybe, sorta. I don't get his angle. I don't get Kurt's Angle either (Ba dum chh!). Why is Immortal feuding with just Sting? Why does Devon hate the Pope? All the clips suggest is that Devon's wife is seeing the Pope behind his back or something. I don't know. I suppose I don't care. I guess on the plus side because TNA is so scatter brained it doesn't seem like a 2 hour show.
I hate Bully Ray. I really do, not because he's a heel and I'm supposed to hate him, but because he's such an insipid bigmouth that I auto-tune out his incessant jabbering.
I wouldn't mind crowded matches if there was just a bit more wrestling in them, and they were more appropriate for the situation. There used to be tourneys, beat the clock challenges, and over-the-top-rope Royal Rumbles for #1 contender-ship when it was up in the air. It didn't used to be, lets just pick 3 random guys for a Triple Threat. Has the pool emptied out that much, that we're down to so few worthy competitors? Especially when any face that isn't John Cena isn't going to get a title match.
If Rey gets the title, it'll be because Cena's going to be injured and off the show for half a year. Since they've already planned out next year's WM, they're probably doing everything in their power to keep Cena in ship shape until then.
Even with the extra 20 minutes, they could take some time to shuffle in and out some people on the roster every other week. We don't need Kofi Kingston v Dolph Ziggler EVERY SINGLE WEEK. Some of those under-utilized guys don't have to go so forgotten. It's called variety.

Yeah. Remember when a minor confrontation or insults in the back was all that was needed to remind us that two guys were feuding? Or when one was in a match the other would just come and stand on stage to mess with their mind? All of that left room for other wrestlers to have a bit of the lime light.
Sadly enough I wish that they would bring back some of the degrading matches for the females back. In a sick twisted way they were more dominating of one another when it came to a bra and panties match. Hell have you seen those pillow fight matches? Not on WWE or those spring break like pillow fights I mean the ones where the women are punching each other through the pillows, suffocating them, choking them with the ends and stuff. It's like a female version of the chair match.
TNA is doing nicely by giving everyone a bit of something to do. But not everyone needs a story or feud.
Ugh I just realized what they were doing with the CM Punk thing. They are turning it around so that people who might waver and be compassionate towards Punk will get blind sided by their love for Cena and rally to support him more. Why side with a guy who is leaving right?

It is kinda odd that they keep all these divas around for T&A, and don't even showcase that about them anymore. They certainly weren't hired for their stellar wrestling skills. I get the feeling that Kelly Kelly would botch a bra and panties match just as badly as any regular match.
I think the problem with the CM Punk thing is that they forgot how polarizing Cena is as a figure in the show. After all that has happened, there is absolutely nothing they can do to change the minds of the people who hate him. Having Cena be the only one to stick up for Punk only made those people hate him even more than if he had said nothing and let the suspension go.
It's kinda hard not to side with the guy who is going to ragequit the WWE. We sided with the guy who ragequit his steward job, stole two beers, and left the plane through an emergency hatch.
I'm not going to recap Smackdown. I missed the first half hour, which was apparently DiBiase & Rhodes v Brian & Jackson. I'm already tired of Daniel Brian and Ezekiel Jackson only knows like 3 moves. The other hour and a half were too sedate for me to care. Oh, and once again, Christian interferes in Orton's match with Sheamus.
Couldn't they drop a few feuds, or cut them down in scale. Just schedule some matches? Maybe change up the events of a match or two so that someone gets pissed at their opponent and starts a feud that way. It's not like they can't have a few sore losers. That was half of the Kingston & Ziggler feud.

I thought that that was all of Kofi and Ziggler's feud.
Smackdown was just background noise to me. I don't remember a single match really and I changed the channel at the end.
Not all ragequitters are instantly loved, it's just the way that they do it. That steward we can sympathize with since at one point or another we've felt the same and wanted to just blow up like that. Now if he had started spitting off some sexist or racial remarks and slapped someone on the way out the love would be gone.
With Punk it's like he's confirming what we are saying, that it's not just us who are aware that WWE has become trash, real individuals there are pushed aside for Cena and Cena has no real talent except for with the mic.
You can read some interviews and when asked about Cena many of them will say that he is very stiff in the ring and perhaps hard to wrestle with. So really it's not Cena that's making Cena look half as good in the ring, it's the other people that he is working with selling the match very very well.
With Punk doing that he's stepping up and voicing all of those things the guys in the back/locker room are saying but once confronted about it hushes up in fear.
There aren't many wrestlers left with balls big enough to stand up for themselves.

Yeah, I guess it is. I just most notably remember back when Dolph was reigning as intercontinental champion, Kofi would jump him after he lost the match even if Dolph won fair and square. It's too bad Kofi didn't have the stones to hit Vickie when she blatantly mocked him with laughter. It would have made a better point than him shaking in frustration after beating up Dolph so many times. He probably wouldn't have lost any fan support for it either. The fans only see Vickie as an old cackling witch anyway.
With Punk's confirmations though, you'd think they could put something together with him and R-Truth. R-Truth assumes there's a conspiracy, Punk explains the finer details, Truth changes up his game, joins the Nexus and brings chaos to RAW. Ironically though I have no problem with Truth's in ring game. He's a very good wrestler.
It's just too bad that despite Punk taking a stand, they find a way to make this about John Cena. I'm sure Cena has his share of problems back stage too but doesn't this qualify as a c**k-block to Punk? It certainly won't motivate anyone who had complaints before to step up and complain now, though VKM seems to be the type to want to squash dissent whenever it rises.

The one thing I find genius about CM Punk's current situation is that in a way he is turning the tide.He is drawing away the appeal people had in Cena towards him. Those who have been in similar situations with their jobs and the like. He's making this show genuinely entertaining with guessing what he might do next.
For once I'm loving the first 15+ minutes of chatter.
Melina losing to Kelly Kelly... nothing says that your career is going down hill like losing to her. At some point doesn't she look in the mirror and go 'What the hell has happened to me?'
She wasn't the absolute best in the industry but she was one of the best that they had. Perhaps she was and had to deal with some poor wrestlers but still that's just wrong.
I bow before Punk.

That sounds good. It seemed like last Monday was just an opportunity to make the entire thing become about Cena. Hopefully things will at least come to a head before MitB.
Kelly Kelly is the John Cena of the Diva circuit. Well actually I guess that's insulting to John Cena, at least he has mic skills. Kelly Kelly is the equivalent of a Miss America contestant. Whatever abilities she had or things she's done all take a back seat to her shutting up and looking pretty.
Did they make Melina take a heel turn too? Is she trolling the fans?
I guess I'll find out in the next hour or so.

I think she took a heel turn awhile ago when slapping Nattie when she was still Diva's champ.
Why in the hell did Cena even show up at the end of this tonight? And why are they trying to make him look like he has a pair by talking to Vince like that?

Still 3 min till but I assume they're trying to push Cena further into our faces to look like a big damn hero. We know he has no more stones to face Vince than anybody else. He just smooches and smooches the cheeks and VKM caves and has a writer whip up a quick skit.

Well, now that I've seen it, it feels like they've written themselves into a corner. It seems difficult to make their golden boy seem like the bigger man when he knows about as much about what the fans want in a wrestling show as VKM does. It's hard to have Cena make this about him and not sound like a dickface when Punk makes it about the downtrodden excommunicated wrestlers of the past who got the finger from Vince.
I didn't catch the 6-man tag-team match. It seems as much a common ******** as any other too-many-man tag-team match. Maybe if they fixed things up based upon how individual wrestlers worked instead of the overly cliche faces v heels match I might get interested. Maybe cause a mix-up that way, or add some standard villainous treachery to the mix but no. Faces v Heels. Period.
I actually liked the skit of Drew, Dolph, and Vickie making fun of Vince McMahon. I chuckled a bit, even with Vince's surprisingly passive-aggressive behavior. Then Kelly Kelly appeared on camera and all smiles were gone in an instant. Melina did get a raw deal there. She had to job to Kelly Kelly, then become a footnote in the entire event since it turned into another Kelly & Torres v Bella Twins standoff. Cause that's new.
Mark Henry is exceedingly stupid. Exceedingly stupid. I get that they were just feigning pain because they all landed on a padded platform (Except possibly Drew,) but what does tackling big show off the stage and hurting himself at the same time prove? It just makes Mark Henry seem exceedingly stupid above all else. I get that he's supposed to be on a sort of Hulk rampage. "Henry mad! Henry smash big man, prove Henry strongest there is!" On top of tossing a tech guy away like a couch cushion, this just seems more silly than intimidating.
I guess I can't really let go of that long jobbing streak.
