Apparently the other prom-goers were not nearly as impressed with the musicians as Gigi was. While security was tight around the stage, all the action was on the dancefloor or at the buffet. The problem with being a rabid screaming fan was that you looked pretty silly if you were doing it on your own. And if you couldn’t scream your lungs out, what was the point? By the third repetition of ‘Baby’, it was pretty clear the security guards weren’t going to let her get close enough for an autograph, and Gigi decided she’d seen all the famous singer’s dance moves, and that his hair looked a little fake up close. She turned her back on the music, pondering her next move.

The dance floor was looking a little rough by this stage, and one kid had already hit the ground, so the buffet was her new destination. Gigi skirted her way around the dancers and back to the food. There were things on offer that she couldn’t even name, and some she wasn’t sure she wanted to, but it all looked pretty. She found a plate and busied herself with trying one of everything, while she waited for the crush around the punchbowl to clear.

"Isn't the music wonderful!" she announced to those nearby, trying to lift some of the negativity she was overhearing on the subject.

The punch was sweet but Chase seemed to prefer it that way, he certainly had a sweet tooth, and the punch was gone after a few couple of drinks. "Still," he started frowning slightly, he hated having been separated especially since in this life Kaia didn't know too many people and when they had first entered he could feel her nervousness.

"Serah?" He wasn't sure who the girl was and he wondered if they had ever really talked about her. He was a good listener, most of the time, but he wasn't sure about Serah. "Uh, pretty sure things are going to get pretty interesting now, saw a couple of people with the spiked punch. Alcohol does some pretty weird things to people," he mused casually glancing around them to look around.

"Anyway, would you care to dance?" He offered his hand to her having discarded his empty cup.

Addison shook her head and laughed, "I'm pretty sure I'm the best dancer here," she fibbed to her prom date. "I've uh.... Had a lot of practice um, walking in heels" she confessed to Ly.

Truth was, she pranced around in rather high-heeled boots in her Senshi outfit and she did much more than walk and dance in them. Okay, so dancing really wasn't part of the equation. Typically it was running, fighting, and roof jumping- but he didn't need to know that.

She closed her eyes for a moment and swayed ever-so-slightly in tune with the music playing. When she opened her eyes she had a big grin on her face.

She watched the blonde boy dancing awfully strangly- compared to him she really DID have some amazing dance moves. "Congrats at being nominated," she nudged him gently as the announcement was made that her date was part of the court. She took big gulps from her glass of punch, she was now several glasses in.

As she threw back the rest of her drink, she grabbed Ly by the hand and pulled gently. "We should dance!" she said to him, louder than she thought. "Dance, and have more punch!" She was giggling now and her head was beginning to feel a little on the dizzy side.

Kathryn was sitting at a table in a far back corner of the large room. It had been weeks since she'd been social- her only interaction with actual people had been with her cousin Talullah recently, and the meeting that the BMC held a few days before. She was in a simple black and dark green dress, wearing a pair of flats as she didn't feel like parading around in heels tonight. Her arms were crossed tightly over her chest and her right leg was crossed over her left.

She watched as the other people around her became more and more inebriated as the night went on and she snickered quietly to herself. She looked down at the glass of punch sitting on the table in front of her and wondered if she had grabbed the glass before the punch was spiked.

Genevieve's eyebrows went up a little then furrowed slightly as she thought about those songs. "Aren't those a little old though?" She'd heard the songs hummed or referenced before but the teen could swear it'd been by her mother. Maybe she was thinking of different songs. It bothered her that she didn't actually know and she'd once considered herself a pop expert. The music changed and she could barely make out the announcement of the King and Queen nominees. Some of the girls sounded familiar from school, and she was certain she'd been in the same baking class with Aurora before.
Pushing herself away from the wall she looked at Azzo. It was kind of weird that he was just standing there. Didn't he have friends? "Are you waiting for someone? I'm not trying to be too nosy it just strikes me as odd that a guy would be out here all alone without a reason and the only conclusion I can come to is that you're waiting for a date..." she took a breath. "But I didn't want to assume."

Azzo watched as Genevieve asked if those songs were a little old, "They might be old, but they're better than the kid." He said nodding his head towards the stage.

He paused hearing the King and Queen nominees, "Huh, no I'm not waiting for anyone." He answered as he glanced over the crowd, "Aurora has a date, which is this fellow named Howl..."

He paused with a shrug, "My Grams made me come really. 'Go be Social' type deal. I think she just wanted me out of the house so she and her friends could play bridge." He chuckled.

Kaia took another small sip of her punch and smiled up at Chase. He seemed genuinely concerned that they had been separated so long and, considering that she had been so distraught by being alone, she really did appreciate it. She simply reached out and set on hand on his arm briefly, squeezed lightly, and dropped it again. It was just to let him know that, while it had been an experience she could have dealt without, that she really was okay.

"Oh, right," she frowned as she realized that Chase probably wasn't going to recognize the girl by that name. She took another sip of her punch while she though about the best way to say it to him without anyone close by overhearing. "A pretty, bright haired General." That was vague enough that no one nearby should have understood, except maybe other soldiers undercover, but with enough information for Chase to grasp it. Hopefully.

Her gaze swept out to the crowd as he spoke about everyone likely getting drunk. He didn't have to tell her what that was going to be like, she'd read enough about the effects of alcohol and seen more than her fair share of consequential documentaries about it to know that the boisterous teenagers were about to become all that much more interesting. It wasn't likely to be something she was going to enjoy overly much.

Still, she was here with Chase, and this was their night - not a night to stress out about every little thing.

"I can try, at least," she said with a nervous laugh, shifting for a moment until she could find a small table nearby to set her half empty cup on. She probably wasn't going to finish it, so that was just as well. Then she gave Chase a shy smile and took his hand, squeezing her fingers in his. "I'm probably not very good at it though, so no laughing."

Zero Dream
Good to know that they were in agreement - thought he had certainly expected such.

"Yeah, the company is definitively nice." People were starting to take over the dance floor now. Xavier had no intention to dance to Bieber.. Not sober, at least.

Who knew, maybe he would unfortunately hit the spiked punch bowl later and make an a** out of himself.

When the nominations happened. the blonde was actually quite glad that he was nowhere in the running. He definitively didn't want the attention - no, he felt quite happy to just sit back and chatter with Bell.

Could they have done that anywhere else ? Yes. Did he care ? Not at all.

He caught Ariel going along the crowd, then Senri, though it took him a moment to catch the man's name in his mind.

"Too bad about that music... I would kind of have liked to dance, but like hell im dancing to Bieber sober." He let out a laugh.

"I think the key question here is, if a Youma were to come and try and eat Beiber, or at least chew his head off, would anyone intervene?" There was a wry smirk there. There was no doubt that Youma would be fighting on the side of musical justice. Bell then giggled. "Fat chance of that happening though."

With that, she took a sip of her punch, going easy on it. The last thing they needed was to get any of that spiked stuff. Of course, not knowing it was spiked already made it a dangerous possibility. However, rumors of it being so were usually taken with a grain of salt, so even if someone did go around saying it was, Bell probably wouldn't believe them.

Guen nodded and obligingly turned toward the crowd, searching for a familiar face. It was hard to make out people with the 'mood' lighting and the crowd but she thought she spotted Fallon, dancing and hanging all over another - oh! She blushed furiously. Another GIRL. Well it wasn't like it was something Guen had never encountered before- but the sheltered girl had to admit to herself that she was somewhat of a prude. Besides the young lady who was obviously occupied, she spied a few other people she'd met dress shopping, but they all seemed to be dancing or busy with their dates.

Smiling apologetically, she patted Bebe's hand in a friendly manner. "It looks like everyone I know is wrapped up in their dates- but there's a crowd around the punch table, we can always start there?" Guen wasn't thirsty, but she also wasn't sure she was ready to dance. Besides, there was a pretty big crowd over there - she might have missed someone.

xxxxxTalia had arrived "fashionably late," but in truth, she didn't want many people to see she didn't have a date. They would all know by the end of the night now though. Of course, it was only her junior year, and it was her first prom! Senior prom was the one that really counted. She would definitely have a date next year, who would sweep her off her feet in the most romantic way.

xxxxxAt least, that's what she kept telling herself.

xxxxxHer orange dress swayed and shimmered slightly as she walked into the dance room, filled with little light, pounding glee music, and what seemed like endless jirating bodies. The set up really was beautiful; the soft yellow light made everything seem just a bit more magical. Maybe it was just her nerves, or perhaps even her inner child talking, but it felt like fairies or pixies could just erupt out from under the tables. It was just magical. Prom. She took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the darkness. It felt like all of the eyes were on her, judging her for being so late, but truthfully no one probably cared.

xxxxxShe looked around for a friendly face and noticed Guen talking with Bebe, a girl she had seen once or twice around school, but nothing more than that. She had such weird glasses ...

xxxxxFinding her courage, she walked up to Guen and said, "Guen! Hey! Your dress is ridiculously cute!" Wow Talia, could you be a bit more awkward about it all? she thought to herself. Noticing her rudeness she turned to Bebe and said, "Ah ... Hi Bebe ... I don't think I've ever talked to you, but you go to Crystal right?" She smiled one of those big toothy smiles that says, "hey world, I'm saying hello!"

xxxxxThis was going to be a long night.

Nodding her head she couldn't say she really disagreed, though she didn't completely agree either, so she just nodded her head. Though plum eyes darkened a little as it dawned on her that Justin Bieber was older than her and Azzo was calling him a 'kid'. Did that mean he was much older or that he just had an old soul? It wasn't really worth mentioning so she moved on-- "I think I've had class with Aurora before but I don't really know her that well... Blue hair, tan skin, bakes really well... Yeah that's all I know of her." She ended it with a laugh but it made her a little uncomfortable to realize that most of the people she knew here were actually much older than she was.

"Stomaching the music would you like to go inside? You see I came stag because there was no way I was missing this but now that I'm here it's a little intimidating having to go it alone." That was kind of the truth, but she felt proud that she wasn't outright lying either. It was practically a first. "Plus you get the added benefit of telling your Grandmother that you were escorted about by a beautiful girl, yes?"

Genevieve was not above fishing for compliments from anyone, even complete strangers.

“ That she is; a cruel woman who’ll never see us as more then children.” At least, that’s how it often seemed to Rosa.

“ Oh yes, Bieber fever has gotten to me. It’s inducing nausea and sarcasm. The remedy is something spicy.”

Rosa grabbed two plates an a handful of the desired shrimp. Spying a bottle of hot sauce further down the table, she grabbed it too. She gave a plate of the undoctored shrimp to Sydney before lovingly dousing her own and popping one in her mouth.

“ Mm. Better.”

Spicy stuff wasn’t for everyone, but as the Senshi of Peppers it would be sad indeed if Rosa didn’t like spicy foods.

“ Ooh, my roommate Aurora is in the running for prom Queen. Anyone you know in the court?”

"Regardless," Senri resisted the urge to rake his hands through his hair, "Please limit your fun, will you? It'll certainly be bothersome if you stir up trouble." Especially in this city alone if the last incident was anything to go by -- Ariel being one of his agency's clients.

Senri didn't notice what Morgan seemed to take delight in; he had no need of jealous stares, or a beautiful woman to reconfirm his ego or arrogance. But he liked Morgan whose nature was similar to his own in that they could afford companionship without attachment.

"We can reacquaint ourselves later." He gently nudged Morgan into the crowd. "After all, isn't it your job to make friends or something." Not that Senri was really serious, considering how deadpan his tone was. Senri was already past this particular phase of high school, so it was understandable why Senri wasn't taking much of an interest in it. But Morgan was a different story entirely, wasn't she? "I'll be taking my leave now." And with a last smile to his old friend, Senri disappeared into the crowds.

The model maneuvered past the crowds to reach the refreshments and food. Senri picked up a cup of the spiked punch with a sigh bringing it to his lips to take a drink. Senri was no stranger to drinking, but he doubted that most males were. Still, couldn't they manage to acquire a higher grade of alcohol than this cheap liquor? Perhaps, Senri had expected too much, He considered the urge to slip outside to take a smoke, still debating it in his head as he leaned against the wall merely to observe the dance floor. His attention was caught by somebody else on the dance floor. Jada, was it? The last he had seen of her was in the ambulance. She must have not been hurt too badly if she had recovered sufficiently enough to attend prom.

He allowed his curiosity to take over, approaching the heiress from behind to take an advantage of a temporary lull in the song, "May I ask for the pleasure of the next dance?" He smiled politely to both Jada, and the same brown hair girl, Devi, recognizing her as the girl that had amused him so early on the dance floor.

As Guen fell silent to take in the room, Bebe silently reprimanded herself for dallying at networking when she had arrived at the school. A few faces she could recognize, girls she had seen in the hallways or in class, but apart from that there was - her train of thought was broken off as the voice came over the loudspeaker. A long list of people she didn't know. Popular, no doubt. And ... no, she shouldn't be thinking of that at a time like this. But a part of her was eager to test out her new form, to become Sugilite and have a little fun. Of course not in here, that wouldn't do. It was absolution packed with people, and while she was aware that she had enhanced strength and speed, she had no desire to tumble with the large, burly guards that stood watch over the proceedings. There was a time and place for everything, and right now was the time to be Bebe. She perked up and turned to take in the punch table as Guen finished her search and reported the results.

"Well I suppose it's only to be expected, if you've got that special someone, a night like this certainly won't be waisted. Though for the life of me I can't understand how anyone could find romance in this atmosphere."

Tutting like a old woman, she turned with surprise as the third girl was upon them in a cloud of perfume, ruffles, and a smile that was just faintly tight with nervousness. Taking a small step back, she regarded the girl with frank curiosity. Another Crystal girl? That must be it, but how would she know her name? Did they have class together? The girl looked familiar, but try as she might, there was no name to the face. Bebe frowned inwardly at herself, but on the outside she clasped her hands together and leaned forwards, eager and polite. The girl would surely introduce herself, or perhaps Guen would say her name.

"Why yes, I do! I don't believe I've had the pleasure - I'm sure I would have remembered."

Devorah Gellner and Jada Chamberlyn were still swaying, hugging, though their attempt at a dance had devolved into some sort of queer flopping that had Jada fighting a serious case of the giggles. And the giggles just wouldn't be proper in such a location. Oh, hell, when had Jada ever been precisely proper? "Say cheese." she told the other senshi at one point, snapping a few pictures of her. It would make good blackmail material at some point, wouldn't it? When someone stepped up, she jumped slightly. Oh! Senri! She recognized him. It was hard to forget a pretty face like his. "I don't see why you couldn't." It would be nice to dance with someone who wasn't flopping.

Carefully she disentangled herself from Devorah. "Why, Devi! Look, there's Fallon! I bet she and Eilian would love to see you. Aren't they wearing such pretty dresses? You should go say hi."

Sic 'er.

Jada had a few loose curls that were clinging to the back of her neck from a light sheen of sweat at the exertions she'd gone through. It was a little much, to be honest, but she had been enjoying the dancing. "It's good to see that you're well after the incident at the gallery, Senri. I didn't see you after your fall. Do you mind if I go get a sip of punch before our dance? I'm a bit thirsty." she held out a hand expectantly to the blue-haired man, obviously waiting to take his arm.

Would he offer it?
