I am the smartest and strongest man in history! There is nothing I can't do".! Doctor Hughes proclaimed as he jumped to his feet, smiling confidently and devilishly. He then laughed gleefully, almost maniacally like a mad scientist as he said, "Boy, you do not know how much luck in the world you have, being assigned to me as your new instructor will be the best thing that has ever happened to you. Aye, I can help you live, but I can only get you pushed in the right direction, 90% of the work will be up to you. Is that understood"?

Satisfied with his response, the good doctor jumped down from the desk and stood directly in front of Jon, looking up at him due to the height difference. Nodding, the doctor said, "We will be going to my laboratory , there we will begin your path to overcome your mistake. With any luck, hopefully you won't die on me like the last ones did". Before Jon could say anything, all of a sudden the doctor jumped up in the air to Jon's shoulder, and gripped one of Jon's chi points, immediately putting him to sleep. As Jon fell, the doctor caught him before he hit the floor and slung his new student over his shoulder. Leaving a note for any students that might come by to pick up weapons, Dr. Hughes jumped out of the store, with an unconscious Jon on his shoulders, and headed for his lab.

The doctor arrived at the weapon's shop and immediately noticed something was amiss. Certain clues revealed to him that the shop had been invaded upon and two of the Iron Katanas were missing from their inventory due to a forceful entry. Whoever they were, the doctor thought that they were lucky that he had important matters to attend to. Maybe he would find who these mystery robbers were later on, but for now, the doctor walked into the weapon shop's bedroom, sat Jon down on the bed, and pulled out a chair next to him, sat down and waited for Jon to come to.

Dr. Hugo chuckled darkly at Jon's statement, and responded with, "Indeed. Though I would think this would have been a good day for you no? Get rid of the fact that your were this close to dying", Dr. Hugo pinched his fingers together as symbolism, "and it sort of pales in comparison to the rewards you have just received. For one, your no longer in any danger of immediately dying a painful death. Your ki has stabilized now that you were able to expend all the excess. It is a temporary solution of course but one that will definitely buy you alot of time...which is what you will need considering I still need to look into a more permanent solution to your problem".

Dr. Hugo then took out a pipe, loaded it up with his own special tobacco (it was special cause it gave you the same feeling tobacco would give any normal person, but it didn't include any side effects that would destroy one's body) and lit up. Through the pipe he said, "If you want to buy even more time, I suggest you train and fight much as possible. Such actions reduces the ki in your body and keeps it stabilized, so I recommend almost constantly using it. If you look on the positive side of that..not only are you keeping yourself alive, but your becoming more powerful in the process".

Then the doctor, still smoking, got up out his chair and opened the door for Jon to walk out of, saying as Jon would eventually exit, "And oh...errr...congratulations on your level up. Do come back again if your ever in the need of another test.....I got plenty of tests that could benefit both of us...of course I will also contact you when I made some progress in curing your ailment".

"Not in here, but feel free to use the storage facility in the back of the shop....just don't go breaking everything. Also since you are my only student, I am giving you full access to any of the weapons in the shop, even if the weapons are higher level than you are...Don't know if that will benefit you or not...you don't like the weapon type...but at least know you have the permission". With that said, Dr. Hugo sat behind his desk in the main entrance, taking out a book finally saying, "Now don't go bothering me unless its a matter of life and death". And with that, Hugo started to read.

Jonathan walked back into the weapon shop now with the 2nd stage book of the Absolute Zero style, and made his way to the storage facility in the back. The room was filled with boxes, and equipment but it had plenty of room for him to train. So he sat on one of the boxes and opened up the to read the general description of the the first stage.

"At this stage, practitioners learn how to shoot or fire their ice manipulating ki outside of their body. To train they must sit in constantly flowing cold/freezing water such as a river or stream. This allows them to feel their ki moving forward, away from their body, as they freeze it."

The description of the stage was pretty short, but it gave him enough information to train. However it didn't give him the river that he needed to train in. And after taking a look around the room, there wasn't anything that he could use as a substitute.

However, there was a bucket that he could fill with water. If he got the concept of the style down, he could use the bucket to see if could do it correctly. So he took the time to sit down and imagine just how it would feel like to let his ki flow naturally out.

Once he had a good image of that, grabbed the bucket and went to fill it with water. After he came back with the filled bucket, Jonathan kneeled onto the floor, and gently poured the water out of the bucket. He placed his hand in the stream of water, and let his ki pour out with the flow. He felt the cold water grow colder as he let out his ki, and the water froze all the way up to the bucket.

"Can I help you young lady"? A voice said from behind the counter. Due to the doctor's height, it didn't look like there was anybody in the immediate area. But if she would to look over the counter, she would find a small man looking rather iffed that his precious solitude and reading time was interrupted.

Jonathan then went back to the book and read up on the first skill of the style. "The user places their hand or fist on the ground and a barrage of spikes made of solid ice will shoot up from the ground up to 15ft from the user, their height being 7-8 ft tall." It sounded a little tough, but doable if he poured his ki out in the right way. So he decided to put the book away, and placed his hands on the ground. He then poured his ki out, pushing it into the ground and out in random areas in the room. Then as he forced the ki out, spikes of ice jutted out of the ground.

Glad that he was able to do the skill, he opened ip the book again and read the next skill. "The user pushes both hands forward to create a frozen puddle of ice in front of or around an opponent. When the opponent tries to step on this frozen puddle they'll either slip up or be thrown off balance, giving the user an opening to strike. They can also freeze small puddles of already existing water for E-rank ki cost instead of D-rank." Thinking that it was a relatively simple skill compared to the one he just used, Jonathan put away the book and tried the skill out. Jonathan put his hands out and sent out his ki to the ground in front of him, making a puddle of ice there.
