[First post in forever! Yay! Sorry it's long... ^^;;]

Rayan sat in his chair at the edge of the room sucking on his candy cane (like I said, it's an addiction ^^ ) disinterestedly. He looked quite sharp in his formal attire: black dress pants and a matching long sleeved shirt, a belt around his waist, and a maroon tie. His dress shoes were pointed at the ends, and the decor on them made them look like someone had taken a SPAS to them.

Rayan was all dressed up, but he had nowhere to go. Or rather, he was all dressed up and had come here, without wanting to. He had been forced to show up at the Valentine's Dance after showing up late at the Winter Dance and missing most of the chaos that ensued from the attacks of the Majin.

Rayan shuffled in his seat uncomfortably. He was utterly bored. Rayan watched as some of the students paired off, while others isolated themselves and indulged in self-pity. It sickened him.

Underaged relationships are so stupid... Rayan thought to himself. All it does is cause premature pain and wasted emotions. Why can't kids just learn to wait?

Yet, he himself knew that he had not been free from these desires in the past, either. Rayan's thoughts drifted back to a dream that had occured the night before. He had been sitting in a field, all alone. The clouds drifted peacefully overhead, and a gentle breeze swept over the grassy plain. Suddenly, Rayan felt a soft touch on his left shoulder. He turned and saw a beautiful girl, wearing all black. Her eyes sparkled beautifully in the mid-day sunlight, and her light purple hair flowed enticingly behind her. She slowly reached out and took hold of Rayan's hand. At first, Rayan was stunned, but nervously began to enjoy the tingling sensation he got upon making contact. The girl captivated his gaze,until he could see nothing else. She began to whisper soft nothings to him, which Rayan could hardly hear, saying that she would always be there for him and would love him forever. Rayan blushed slightly, partly from the unexpressable joy flowing through him. He slowly, hesitantly, leaned forward, until his lips almost touched hers...

Then, without warning, she let go of his hand and broke away. The background all turned to darkness, and her figure floated away, vanishing slowly into a dark mist. The mist gave off a horrid, cackling laughter which tormented Rayan's very soul. Then a whispy hand formed from it, and lunged at Rayan's chest, attempting to rip his heart out. Rayan shouted frantically and struggled to loose its grip, but his vision began to blur as the pain of his ripping flesh dulled his senses. Everything faded away into a teary blur...

Rayan snapped back to reality. He felt pathetic, alone, and bitter. Rayan almost wanted to throw away his precious candy cane, which was a personal act of blasphemy. His teeth grinded and his empty fist clenched at his memory.

"Damn it, Kami, why did I ever allow myself to fall for you?"

Rayan was so lost in his thoughts that he hadn't noticed the approaching freshman girl until after she had spoke to him. His mind, still bogged down with thoughts of his past, responded dully, and Rayan didn't respond until he felt her hand tug under his arm and lift it. His eyes shot up in a glare, then froze as Rayan saw who it was. It was the girl he had saved during his spar with Xavier. He dropped his sulking in a moment, but not his isolationistic attitude. Rayan jerked his arm away, and then stood looking at her for a moment.

"Sorry...I...I can't dance..." he spat out. Rayan shook his head, and then added, "Besides, I'm not interested. Shouldn't you try to dance with someone closer to your age?" He felt a little uncomfortable about the idea of dancing with a student, especially a freshman, although Rayan wasn't quite sure what the reason was.

Giggling Celestial leans out from the table cloth and puts some pudding on the ground. Soon a boy walks by, steps in the pudding and slips where Celeste quickly slips her ice cream and his face falls in it.

Ducking out of sight Celestial begins to giggle uncontrollably, the tabl;e shaking with the force of her laughter.

Kurai sweatdropped as Rene was touching her lips and exclaiming how it was her natural colour. he then quickly turned to respond to Sally's friendly entrance.

"Hai Sally-san" Kurai said happily making a quick hand gesture. "Its good to see you here ^^" Kurai then slowly looked at Rene's sudden movement twoards teh food.

"Well its not like we have had much to eat at home either.." Kurai shrugged. He still hasn't told her that they are flat broke as of now. Especailly after their little visit to Ky.

Kurai then walked up to Rene and quickly picked up a napkin and placed it ontop of Rene's mouth. "you got food crumbs on your face..." he then violently smeared it across her face and the overly used lipstick lift a quite ugly smear on the napkin and her face.

"heh.. i hope the money you got back from the field trip also paid for this lipstick..." Kurai made a quite evil glare. "Rene... -.- using up our money..."
