(( Sai, you'll have to show the physical endurance quite a bit more in all this. Need quite the a**-kicking to display it I think. ))
*Multiple jackals surrounded Orange, ganging up on the ranger and attacking him from all sides. Dodging a blade or two, Evan fired at his attacks and hit a few, missing some others. Getting kicked, punched, then slashed, he flew in the air and sparked, rolling a bit and smacking the ground as he got back up.* Who taught you guys combat? Henchmen are supposed to come one at a time! *Ducking a blade, he clumsily kicked a monster away from him and fired several times into them.* Well that was a bla- *Before he could finish, he was hit by another fodder and stumbled back a bit.* No fair! *Dodging another sword slash, he began to get annoyed.* We really need better close range weapons than this. Guns are fun and imitate-able and all, but it is no good in a knife fight!
*Dodging more attacks from the numerous dog-people assaulting him, he got an idea. Quickly moving his gun around in his hand, he gripped it and held it like one might hold a sword backwards and along towards the elbow. Dodging another swipe, he quickly smacked the dog in the mouth and caused it to stumble back.* Nice! This is more my speed! *Blocking a kick with his improved weapon, he followed up by kicking the dog in the side before spinning and clocking the monster upside the head.* Still, not quite the best weapon... *Moving to avoid a slash, a kick, and another slash, he was quickly overrun and slashed by two fodder-dogs at once. Stumbling back and breathing heavily, his suit smoked.* If only I put more stat points into my armor proficiency... or my evasion skill... *Unable to see how the others were doing, he attempted to dodge more assaults on him. *
Too many of these things are around. I'll have to take out as many as I can or else I won't last too long. *Dodging another swing, he rolled past the group and took off running towards an empty space. Stopping and turning, he readied himself to rush the enemies in an all-or-nothing attack to help take care of his share. Yelling out, Orange ran for the group to try to dive in and tackle as many as he could. Suddenly, he surged with speed and rushed straight into the group quicker than he had anticipated. Falling back from impact, his burst of speed while hitting into some of the fodder sent them flying in the air with great force. The ones he hit in the air knocked down a number of the monsters that were cornering him before. Laying on the ground, Evan stared up at the sky and tried to grasp the situation. * W-what the heck just happened?!

Ryu meeped as he was suddenly tossed onto the ground. He grunted as Ammut started to stomp all over his chest and gut. Sparks flew all over with each impact, even the ground began to crack from the force implimented. Ryu tried to reach for his gun, but the hits were preventing him. He growled, thinking of only one option. Just as the monster pulled up, he rolled away and quickly jumped to his feet. He stood straight, seemingly unaffected by the attack. "Uh...okay..this is odd. That did hurt but...i can stand as though i am uninjured...what the heck is going on?"

((I probably going to have a new work schedule, so I won't be on Sunday to Wednesday.))
Kira looked up at Bertil. "You again?" She said weakly. "What are you?" She said as she saw him knock the creature out with his bare hands. Bertil turned around and picked Kira up. "Your guardian." He said with a grin. He took her behind a rock and sat her down. "You need to learn how to control your power."

Despite doing fairly well fending off the new fodder with kicks and energy shots, Hiro was still getting slashed. I'm getting tired of this he thought. Kouken Violet noticed a charging fodder and fired his two shots from his gun. The shots found their mark, breaking off the blades and sending them flying into the air.
Hiro calmly hoisted his gun raised his arm, catching both blades. He then put one in each hand, pointing the tips downward. Hiro then got to work, putting his new weapons to use. "Ah, that's better." he said to himself as he blocked an attack and countered, however the long blades made it difficult to handle. "Though, it would be better if they were shorter."
Delivering a final slash, Kouken Violet defeated the last fodder that was near him. Spotting Anubis and Baas he begin to run over, flipping his blades over to take out several more fodder along the way.
((It would be great if I knew I was actually beating them. ><))

Kira knew that Bertil was right, but now was not the time to train her powers. Bertil knew he had to do something to keep her safe, but it would mean he had to disobey orders. He was not the type to do such a thing, but he saw that he really had no choice. "Don't worry. I take care of your share of the fighting." He said with an encouraging smile. Kira protested, but she knew she was not in any condition to fight. However, she did not want him to get hurt as well. "I won't get hurt. I can handle it." He said as he ran behind another rock and transformed into demon form. He kind of looked like an overgrown gargoyle with bat-wings.

Anubis saw purple coming and just growled softly. Bass on the other hand laughed and drew her blades. Her tail swished as she eagerly waited to strike the human. "Come to kitty little mouse."
Meanwhile Ryu kept taking hit after hit, and yet he kept getting back to his feet and striking back. He knew he was injured and yet his body didnt feel like it, his endurance was through the roof. "Hehe i am loving this!"
(Oh right..yeah jes you are beating them. they are fodder afterall and weak.)

Bertil was knocking out fodders left and right until he became closer to the two. "I do not appreciate two impotent fools threatening my precious girl." He said with a deep growl from the back of his throat.
((My hours were change. I probably won't be on Sunday to Wednesday.))

What is that fool thinking? Flowers thought as we watched through Hiro's helmet cam at him charging the monster....

Ignoring Baas' comment, Hiro brought down both his makeshift daggers on his target's chest. No waiting to see if his attack was effective or not, Kouken Violet crossed the blades and attempted to stab the monster in the chest.

(( Yeah, we don't have personal weapons yet so that isn't possible Sai.))
*Getting back up and still wondering what had happened just then, he had no time to scratch his head and work it out. Avoiding some more fodder, which seemed quite focused on attacking him, he gave a good jab with the blunt side of his blaster into the monsters head before kicking it over and firing several times into it.* Jesh give me some breathing room. You guys stink enough as it is. *Looking over and noticing that purple was attacking the lead bad guys head on, he smirked under his helmet.*
Now that is what I'm talking about! Or... rather thinking. *pausing for a moment to consider the phrasing, he shook it off and ran off towards the leaders of the furry brigade. Ducking and dodging past enemies as he ran and fired the blaster into them, he began to close the gap between them and him. Suddenly, without warning, he jolted forward again.* Gahh! *Running faster than he was used to, he came rushing towards the distracted enemies no doubt slamming with great force. The surprise run-in would impact the opposite leader that Violet hadn't been attacking.*

When Hiro moved in close, Bass just smirked and spun on one foot. She brought her other foot and leg high into the air as she made the attacker miss her, and kick him in the back. "Pathetic...truely not worth using my swords."
Anubis just shook his head. He snapped his fingers and the fodder monsters vanished instantly. "That's enough for now...we did what we came for. Listen well humans...you WILL bow to your gods soon enough."
Anubis, Bass, and even Ammut vanished then in a shimmer of light.
Ryu was in the middle of punching when the monster vanished from sight. He meeped and staggered on his feet as his punch hit nothing but air. "Gah! Dang it!"

Bertil was really pissed now. Those two totally ignored him and included him when they said humans. "I am not a human, and I will get you for harming my girl!" He roared. Once he was calm, he turned back into human form and went back to Kira.

"Oh no you don't!" Hiro said as he recovered from the kick as he tried to swing his arm around and slash at Baas with weapon. Noticing that the two he and Orange had been fighting had vanished, Kouken Violet turned to see the other monster they had brought had disappeared as well.
"Huh," Hiro wondered as he dropped his impromptu weapons, "Wonder why they left?" They were winning he thought.
~Flowers~
Flowers sighed in relief a little as he monitored the console. They had gotten lucky. That he knew.
"Very good team. Return to base for debriefing." he said as he closed the com link.
~Hiro/Kouken Violet~
Hiro looked up from his Kouken Brace and quickly looked around.. His HUD not detecting anything, he powered down. "Let's go gu..." he stopped mid-sentence as he noticed Bertil. He wasn't sure what to make of him as the others returned to the transport.
((When I suggested the retreat, I meant the fight would go a bit tad longer. Oh well. xd ))

((Since Ayame is getting behind, isn't posting much, and didn't seem too enthused to begin with, retcon hammer is action go. *Heading straight for the dog-faced leader, Orange was trying to get a grasp on the blurring surroundings around him. As he was about to impact Anubis, the Egyptian "god" retreated away. Unable to stop himself, he slammed into a nearby tree and fell over once more. Getting up and shaking off the impact, Evan looked around and let out a big sigh of relief. While he was annoyed that his charge-in didn't work, he was glad to see the enemies gone without anymore bruising or beating happening to him. Despite confusion on what had just happened to him, what with the speed and all, he shrugged it off for the moment and tried to get a grasp on the abandoned battlefield.
Looking around, he did a quick head-check on the rangers.* I'm still here, Red looks a bit beaten up too but alright, Blurple appears to be doing the best of us, and Pink.... *Eying Bertil before he transformed back to a human state, he blinked a few times under the helmet.* ...became a monster...and a guy? *Not seeing Kira behind the rock, he was left assuming this newcomer was in fact their teammate and that they had horribly mutated to a different gender. And into a monster. Gulping a bit thinking of what that could mean to the others, he moved cautiously over to Hiro and whispered.* Before she mutates further, lets get on the transport and get out of here while we still can. *Heading off into the transport as he canceled his transformed state, he waited for the others while trying to think of what strange things they all might mutate into while also trying not to act too sore from the asswhuppings he endured during the day.*
*Back at the base, after Flowers had sent his order for the rangers to return, Theus sent a message to him.* Progress goes well for the next steps on the project. Modifications on the braces can move ahead of schedule and may begin immediately. Send them to me at your discretion *Not giving Flowers the chance to respond, Theus cut out the message and returned to the work he was doing in between having monitored the rangers in combat. Walking past a large, not-yet-finished mechanical behemoth, he moved into another area of the lab.*

Ryu staggered a little after transforming back to normal. "Alright team...seems we need to head back to base. Uh so..lets go. Whoa..head rush."
She staggered a little as he walked. The injuries he sustained were finally taking their tole on him.
Meanwhile back at the base, Izzy had seen the fight against the egyptian threat and sighed softly. She walked into Captain Flowers's office, removing her glasses. "Sir...i think i should inform you about those that gave the rangers a hard time a minute ago. Its...not an easy subject..."

Hiro stood there for a moment longer after Evan walked up to him. He knew that this "mutant" wasn't their comrade as before he powered down his HUD had shown all them were accounted for. But for some reason it hadn't detected it. THen again, he thought, he hadn't done a complete scan.
Raising his Kouken Brace he talked into it, still looking in the direction. "Kira, can you here me? Its Hiro. Time to go."
Getting a reply, Hiro boarded the waiting shuttle with the others and closed the hatch once Kira was on board.
As the transport took off, he wondered what Flowers/O.A.S.I.S. had in store.

Robert Flowers looked up from the monitor he had been looking at.
"Oh?"
