((Hey everybody! Sorry, I've been gone awhile. These past weeks have been hectic, and after that, I simply lost interest. Thanks to all the newcomers that livened up the story. Especially thanks to magadol, who reminded of my duties to the roleplay. wink Without furthur ado, I will send in my post. I'm not so sure where everybody's at, so I'm taking a good guess.

And just to alert you to something, Magadol, what you wrote a few posts ago is slight god-moding. Using the 'flaw' in Raya's cyber-arm-thing to render it useless. I'm sure you won't do it again, but I just wanna draw your attention to it, since I've seen it enough times to now annoy me everytime I see it. ^_^))

Jared, accompanied with his partner, happily followed Raya into pizza parlor/bar. He immediately spotted one of their fellow officers, Misha, and her own partnered animal. His face lit up upon sight. It was always good to see one of his coworkers. It was as if Raya read his mind, as she immediately headed towards the table. Jared grinned a friendly greeting to Misha as they sat down, taking a spot near Gregory, her animal. Achak stiffened, her feather's bristling, as they got nearer. Jared knew it wasn't anything personal; Achak had nothing against Gregory, and truthfully, the monkey was quite the witty animal. Most likely, it was just animal instinct. Birds just didn't like monkeys. Jared stroked Achak's head and murmured a few words to her. It probably looked strange, seeing how she was perched on top of his head.

Shortly after, a server came to take their orders. Jared only ordered a Coke to drink. Though he seemed the slacker, he put his duties first when he was working. It probably wasn't professional to work on a full stomache. It would make him sluggish and sleepy. He couldn't risk beer, either. Though he had a high alcoholic tolerance, it was always better not to take chances. When the orders came, Jared took a long, satisfied sip, tipping his head back. Unfortunately, he forgot about the small bird on his head, and she chirped in alarm at the sudden movement, flapping her wings and slashing his scalp. Jared muttered a quick apology.

Then, when it seemed like all things were going right, it didn't.

A burly young man entered the parlor, driving a straight course to their table. As one, both Jared and Achak stiffened up. Jared immediately recognized him as a Rhino cop. They weren't well-liked in his own section. And like most of them are, the man made a quick introduction before scooping up a slice of Raya's pizza and popping it into his mouth. Raya and Micha, along with their animals, immediately reacted. Jared, though it took a lot of willpower to do it, held back. There was no need to furthur complicate the situation by joining in. Even without his contribution, though, he could feel the atmosphere getting tense and heated. Obviously, the Rhino wasn't welcome. Didn't he get that, or was he too soft in the head to sense it?

Jared had to admit, he was quite impressed with Raya. The head of Chasm City Police Corps was known for her hot temper, and she kept it under control as she calmly talked with the Rhino, who identified himself as Basil. Then, he had the sudden nerve to bring up her mechanical arm. Jared stiffened. He knew that her arm was a sore topic for her. Raya's eyes flashed in anger. She held up her arm and began to explain to Basil the other abilities of her cyber arm.

Having never triggered her temper before, though he had once or twice come close, it was a first for Jared as well to see the true use for her arm. Jared paled in fear, watching as Raya icily named the different abilities for each colored flame. He could almost imagine the Chief using that awesome power on a criminal. It was horrifying.

Jared glanced at Basil. Surprisingly, the man was unhindered. He simply shot out a hand, pressed a particular spot on Raya's arm, and the light went out. He then went on to prove his supposed triumph and greater knowledge. Jared couldn't help it then. He rolled his eyes. Nice way to patch things up, man. Chief will strike in three, two, one... he thought.

Raya's fist shot up and landed squarely into Basil's face.

Unnoticed by the others, Jared shamelessly grinned. The guy deserved it, whether he knew it or not. He still watched as Raya exchanged quick, angry words with Shai and stormed off to the bathroom. And still, Basil kept that high and mighty, oh-so-repulsive expression on his face.

Now, Jared rolled his eyes, standing up as he did so the man could see it. "Damn, man. No matter how smarty-smarty you talk, how much smarts you got about this cyber whatevers, and how smart you think you are, you're still pretty damn stupid, ain't ya?" Jared raised an eyebrow, meeting Basil's gaze. Then he rose fully from his seat and followed Raya.

Achak hopped off his head onto the table, and she switched her own level gaze onto Shai and Basil's partnered animal. She then broke eye contact and shook her little feathered head. "You both are right to apologize. If you'd just taken a bit more care, and not act like the foolish, stupid animals we were viewed as centuries ago, this wouldn't have happened." She then hopped off the table and flew off to catch up with Jared.

Jared knocked three short raps on the door to the ladie's bathroom. "This probably ain't necessary, but you all right in there, Chief?"

[[-.-" Whoops. My apologies then. CARRY ON. XD]]

Basil just smiled after jared made his statement and held back from just correcting him, he had his reasons for this, wheather this man saw it or not didnt matter so long as it got done. "yeah yeah, another person that doesnt like me, get in line." he looked over to shai "well maybe if i made it look like it would be a punishment for me to have to fix it..." he laughed only kidding ofcoarse. "i'll get her to lighten up enventually."

Hardy, from the few words he heard jared and achak speak, he found them to be the stupid ones, he wasnt going to say anything, but he already had a few jokes lined up about him that he may consider 'smarty-smarty' then turning to shai "so she will want to go there to blow offf steam...maybe we should send my partner there, then she can blow off some steam beating up him.

Basil turned around "hey now, what did i do to you, besides im trying to help."Hardy laughed "i know, but it would be funny" and basil just glared.

As Astrayl walked out he felt some what bad for Raya. Then he remembered he saw another female officer inside. "Hey do you remember the other officer that was their?" From another point of view it looked like he was talking to his chest, then Molly popped out of his shirt. "Yes, I believe I saw a monkey with her. Monkeys are tasty." She chuckled until Astrayl flicked her in the nose. "Remember you are only aloud to eat rodents. Or any people food I might give you." Then he looked back towards the shop. "Well she did look lonely. Why don't you go give her this then." He held up a flier. On it said, "One time only, defeat the Master of the Eastern arts dojo. First to beat him wins 5,000 dollars." Molly nodded and slithered out of his coat holding the paper with her tail.

Molly slithered back into the pizza place and stayed hidden. She moved between the chairs then under the tables. 'Lets see, where is the monkey?' Then she caught sight of them and moved onto the table in front of them. "Please don't be alarmed. I am only here to give you guys this flier. My name is Molly, my partner was the man you saw earlier. He is hte master of the dojo on the flier. We have been friends with Raya for a little while. She helped us settle in. She smiled at the two of them.

Molly nodded her head and slithered out the door leaving the flier on the table. When she got out Astrayl was standing there waiting for her. "Come on lets go home and sleep." The snake smiled and crawled up her partners clothes.

Astrayl was walking happily during the night. 'The studio should be close by now." When he got there he found his studio torn to pieces. The glass was shattered, paper ripped to pieces, not a thing was left standing except his metal training gear and equipment. "Looks like we should have done a better job in tying their ropes. Oh well, looks like they didn't get anything important." He walked through the shattered door and into a back room where a bed and small desk were. "Good night Molly." As he laid down, Molly slithered out of his sleeve and under the desk to her own bed.

Basil yawned "ah screw it, she's right lets go home budy, we have a long day ahead tommarow, i can feel it, and besides we need to get settled in at the new appartment."

Hardy was watching as the monkey climbed up on misha's shoulder and looked to basil "how come i never get rides on your shoulder" he chuckled

Basil looked at him with an odd expression on his face "your kidding right, your a rhino, you'd squish me."

hardy laughed "i would not, now come here." he took a few steps toward basil acting as if he was actually about to try and get on his shoulder.

Basil backed away "no no...nonononono." he looked to misha "well, i obviously need to go right now before i become a pancake, but im looking forward to seeing you tomarrow." he winked at her before backing away more from hardy and then began to run away of towards his apartment.

As hardy could be seen chaseing after him after a moment a faint "get back here" could be heard.

((lol honestly i have been planing to do that since i thought about the monkey being on her shoulder, and you just gave me the perfect oportunity. thanks...))

After a couple over the counter sleep aids chased with a couple shots of vodka Nemesis had a good night's sleep after the work she did the night before. She woke up to Mad Hatter gently pecking at her fingers. "Damn it man! Why do you feel it kosher to wake me up in such a manner!?" with anger. Nemesis was not a morning person. She had a gallery to run, she had morning paintings to do all day, and an art show to do that night.

"Ohhh come on you can't forget your fun days!" Cheeped Mad Hatter happily. "This is the day you don't have to worry about anyone dying, nor do you have to walk the streets tonight, well you can if you want to.. I wouldn't due to um last night's special treat we gave to all the other drug lords who think they're the king in this town.. we better go in early for the rest of the week.. But I'll still keep an eye on the place for new cases for more work next week or the week after, whichever time the law most likely won't be on us, and there are prone to be more surgeries done. But yeah! Wake up! You get to play with your paints today, and play all nice nice with people and hug kids and show them how to draw flowers and faces! During your presentation of your new series! How many people said they were going to buy your pieces from your last series?"

Nemesis was eating a brownie and sipping on an energy drink. "I think the whole series is going to be gone as far as I know if the people who said they were going to buy those works show up tonight..." She shrugged unsure on how much money she was going to make on her art tonight. Art wasn't really as much of a career for her as it was a hobby and a passion. The fact that she was really good at it, and made money off of it was a bonus. She threw on some clothes, checked her eye out that was still stitched up and swollen, lit up a cigarette, and was out the door... How was she going to explain that her eye had been spliced open. Well she had been seen at a bar the other day.. She fell, and she cut herself with her claw. Today she had her metal hand on that just had regular nerve endings and worked like a normal hand.

She walked her gallery after unlocking it, got out some canvas, and started to draw a picture of a little girl under a tree she was going to add so much more to this. Nemesis was a huge surrealist that was famous for odd paintings, but that was why people bought them.

Raya woke up with a muffled groan, head pounding. This always happened when she went to sleep angry. She rolled out of the bed and landed on the floor with a thump.

Shai was instantly awake, looking bright eyed and bushy tailed. She peeked over the edge of the bed at her partner, "Anger hangover?"

Raya nodded, getting up and heading into the bathroom, "Yup. And leftover pizza for breakfast."

Shai chuckled, "That is not very healthy."

Raya shrugged, flipping on the shower, "Since when do I care?" She showered and dressed in her usual jeans and tank top, deciding to change into her uniform after she hit up Astrayl's dojo. Hair tied up behind her in a damp ponytail, she packed a duffel bag with her uniform and work-out clothes, then she and Shai headed for the car. They got in and drove to the dojo, walking in and finding it a trashed mess. Raya sighed, calling out, "Astrayl, you'v got quite the mess down here!"
