Background
Belphust was born in a large city, filled with pickpockets, and the law enforcers only far too happy to kill those pickpockets despite the rampant fact that almost everyone was unemployed within the city.
His father was a notorious pickpocket, but was also capable of fighting off the lowly lesser officers that would find him picking pockets. He never killed them, since that would make him a cop killer, and not even fences and movers would deal with cop killers, and he didn't want his wife and son to have to be sucked into the world of those who would deal with someone who was a kill on sight.
His mother was, for lack of a better word, a madam of dusk. The fact that Belphust's father was his father was only speculated, rather than certain. It was an accepted fact, never questioned, but never confirmed either. She catered to higher members of society, so she could support both her and their son, though not all that well.
His father died in a failed pickpocket attempt, when he was cornered. The whole thing had been set up, in order for them to catch him. Belphust witnessed his father's murder and burned the faces of the police who had killed him into his mind. As he grew, the hatred boiled more and more until he himself took to lifting items and boosting wallets from the citizens of the city. He became so good at this art almost immediately that he could even steal from the police. He reveled in this fact and instead turned from doing that to begging, and scanning the police for the men who had taken his father from him. He waited for the perfect moment, late at night, with no one around, and killed one of them. It was meditated over the course of an entire year, he learned what days he was there, learned his habits, even went so far as to learn where he lived, and about his family. All of this was taken into consideration, weighed, and found still lacking in the fact he'd taken Belphust's father from him. As the man lay there, dying without the ability to speak without forcing the knife to cut into his throat, Belphust removed his hood only enough for the man to see his face and no one else who happened to be up at that time. He asked if he recognized him, and the man's eyes widened with the realization of who the man on top of his chest holding the knife to his throat, and his severed arm in his other hand. Seeing this, Belphust smiled and pushed, forcing the knife down until it hit bone, then pushing and sliding, cutting completely through the bone. He smiled, the knife had been the police's back-up blade, but now it was to be the blade with which he'd exact his revenge.
Years passed, and Belphust found that 2 more of the officers died in the line of duty, though he did dig them up and plunge the blade into their hearts just to feed his sick desire. The others all were promoted and trained further to the point it would have been suicide for Belphust to attempt an attack on them, so he decided to hone his skills further. Hearing of a group of mercenaries founding a hidden village out in the sticks made him think, maybe joining them wouldn't be suck a bad idea? So, he packed his stuff up, gave his mother his stored up wealth, and told her to quit her job, maybe become a waitress instead. ----------------------------------------------------------------

Distinguishing Features: Despite the fact he is a Hatake, both in blood and in name, he lacks the white hair and affinity for white chakra.
Background
Born to an offshoot branch of the Hatake clan who had guarded a small town for many generations, Jakkios learned swordplay at a young age, as he was to become the next head of the village defense, a title handed down through his family, though they were all appointed for being the best and most level headed of the guard force.
Jakkios would never rise to the title however because one night, a fire broke out while Jakkios was on his watch, and he mistakenly killed a family who had wrapped their heads in cloth to keep the smoke out of their faces, and grabbed sheets filled with their personal belongings. In the contrast between the darkness of night and the harsh light of the flickering flame, Jakkios mistook them for bandits who were rumored to be in the area. It wasn't until that morning that Jakkios learned what he had done. His blade, the third in the set his family paid homage to as the original blades used to protect the village since it's founding was deemed tainted for having slain members of the village, and he was banished from the village for having killed the villagers which was against he oath he swore. Even though the other villagers understood his mistake, Jakkios implored them to follow the codes. He was allowed to take the blade, and a kit to maintain the blade, and nothing else but the clothes he wore.
Jakkios never strayed far from the village, ready to protect it even though he'd been banished, and re-entering it meant he would be killed on sight. One night, after washing his clothes in the river, and falling asleep on the pelts he'd gathered in his makeshift shack, he could smell smoke. Fearing his fire outside had re-lit itself, he scrambled out of bed with a container of dirt, and a brush he'd made. Once outside of his shack, he could easily see it wasn't his own fire, it was the village in the distance. He quickly dressed himself and ran as fast as he could to the village's aid, but arrived too late. A den of thieves had ransacked and razed the village. Though he searched the ruins for days, no one was left alive. He wept for an entire day, not for the chance to redeem himself, but for the people he'd grown up with, the people he'd come to love. The people he was willing to protect even though they were willing to kill him for doing so. Once he'd finished weeping, he went to his old home and searched those ruins, hoping that his father had hidden something well enough that the bandits hadn't managed to find them. Tears welled up in his eyes, not the tears of sadness that still dampened his face, but tears of joy. His father had hidden the family set to which Jakkios carried the third. With it, a note was found, surprisingly unscathed by the flames. It was a letter from his father, mother, and younger sister. His younger sister's told him of how she missed him, and wished him nothing but happiness, though she knew without the ability to protect the village that would never happen. His mother told him of how empty the house seemed without Jakkios around to bicker with his sister and father. Even the village seemed more dull to his mother without him there to liven things up. His father's message was one of sadness however, it lamented that he'd actually killed another human, but also acknowledged the fact that that would have been inevitable. It also told that his father had been weakening recently, and that Jakkio's banishment had been the planned day for him to step down and Jakkios take his place. Finally, it said that no one but Jakkios would receive the blades as long as his father drew breathe and even after.
Jakkios kept the letter, and proceeded to bury all of the villagers, giving them tombstones out of the village they once populated. Each stone had a name engraved or drawn upon it, and a short epitaph. On each grave, Jakkios planted flowers, so that no matter how far he went, no matter how long he was gone, his memories and love would always be with his village's people, even in death. After this, Jakkios set out on his own, bound to find another village that he could protect, and this time not fail in that duty. ----------------------------------------------------------------

Faster than normal shinobi, they're capable of channeling their white chakra through a weapon to increase it's effective range. Rp Sample"Must we really do this?" Jakkios said, his eyes lazy like normal, but they held a gleam of fierce resolve in them. His hand rested lightly on the hilt of his main blade, Mamoru. his other hung loosely off to the side, next to Fusegu's pommel, ready to draw the blade for a near instantaneous block if need be. It wasn't all that often he actually needed to block. His reaction speed was top notch, and his physical speed was above any of his peers. It was to be expected of course, he was a Hatake. Faster than most their age and experience level, the Hatake had striking white hair, and chakra to match. However, Jakkios wasn't a full blooded Hatake, and only inherited the enhanced speed. His family was a far removed side branch, Hatake in name and speed only. His family was brown haired with surprisingly fair eyes. His eyes never faltered as he looked at his opponent. Striking white hair, blade coated in white chakra... Yep, it was one of hte pure Hatake, probably angry that Jakkios had survived. "Fighting within our clan isn't going to get us anywhere." He said, he knew that he wasn't an accepted member, but his family DID have the same blood running through their veins as the Hatake. "Don't fool yourself filth, you're nothing but a mistake that my ancestor made." He said with a snarl. He lunged forward, blade swinging quickly forward, it was fast, but Jakkios was both faster, and could see the attack coming from a mile away. Jakkios swept his arm, pulling Fusegu out of it's sheath and clanging it against the Hatake's blade, white chakra or not, the blade faltered and shot skyward, missing Jakkios' head by a couple of inches. Gripping Mamoru's handle, Jakkios spun quickly, shoving the handle into his kinsman's diaphragm knocking the wind out of him and launching him over Jakkios' head. The Hatake's blade sunk into the ground, and Jakkios watched as he flipped over the blade itself after being flipped once. Jakkios sheathed Fusegu and let go of Mamoru, which fell beck into it's sheath slowly, but fast enough to be done before the Hatake could get upright. It looked as if Jakkios had done nothing but turned from anyone who might have been watching, but all the Hatake would have been able to see was Jakkios flipping him. The draw of Fugesu had been too fast, it was something even Jakkios could barely see. "How did you do that?" The Hatake said, struggling to get his breath, speak, and get into a position to try another attack. "Your family is nothing compared to the clan, You can't even utilize your white chakra." He said, gritting his teeth. He pulled the blade from the ground, the white chakra missing. 'How did he manage that? I'm definitely faster than him, how did he hit me and deflect the blade at the same time?' The Hatake thought, rushing at Jakkios again, this time the white chakra enveloping the blade and lengthening it by an inch or so, but held back a small amount so that the blade would lengthen by five more inches when it was struck. Jakkios had barely missed getting his collarbone cleaved, he wouldn't be so lucky a second time. Jakkios looked at the blade as the Hatake charged, noticing that the length of the blade increased. He didn't know that was possible with the bloodline's technique, and decided that instead of a minor block and a dodge, he'd have to completely block the weapon. He wasn't certain of the length that the blade could reach, and he wasn't about to let it cut him. It was already too long for him to dodge it the same way again. Instead of drawing Fusegu using Battojutsu, he decided it would be better to draw Mamoru.

Background
Hathor doesn't know much about his past, He just remembers living on the mountain his entire life, finding his own food, or scavenging the remains left by other predators before he was old enough to hunt. His parents were no where he could see them, hear them, or smell them, so he isn't even sure if he's human exactly.
Hathor is his own given name, and is one of the few things he can actually say that is something close to actual words. Having lived on the mountain since before the village at the base of the mountain was founded, he's never heard another human speak, and never really thought to try until the village settled and he was found poking around. After listening to the people talk, he picked out a couple of sounds that they didn't use constantly in their words and tried to mimic them. Hathor Karkdur was what came out, and that's what he's called himself since. While not overwhelmingly powerful, he has a natural affinity with the world around him, almost to the point he's become one with it.
The resident wilderness guide, Hathor showed the first couple shinobi around the area, mostly just because they were following him. They fed him a good meal, so he didn't think about losing them, they'd probably feed him again, and if he lost them in the mountain they might not have fed him again. After the couple months in the village, as it was slowly built into the mediocre shacks it is now, Hathor's learned to understand basic commands, and say his name, and learn names with only a small bit of difficulty. ----------------------------------------------------------------
