She had hurt the others before? Well... he remembered the Desmond one, but he was unaware of any other incidents. From what he had seen, no one held it against her. The dog in the room certainly didn't seem to care.
"I don't think they hold that against you. If it's... anything like what I felt, you can't help it either. I don't know. Maybe there's a way to stop it," he said before looking at the bag. There were sandwiches in there, but he held off on snagging them yet due to the conversation at hand.
"Besides... the only reason why no one got hurt there was because I suddenly went deaf and blind before anything could happen."

Mitsu was lucky that her friends didn't hold it against her, but that didn't make her feel any better about attacking them. It left a deep sense of guilt that would never go away. She could remember the after effects in her head as clear as day and she was certain those images would haunt her until her very last breath.
"Just promise me....you'll defend yourself." She said softly. True he had tried to hurt her...but in the end he hadn't no matter what the cause had been.

Grimly, Blade nodded before reaching for one of the sandwiches. His hunger was starting to overtake much else.
"I will.." he said somewhat reluctantly before pausing, "Suto said... he tested the thing in me on you..?"
If he recalled correctly, that was what the guy had said. He didn't want to think about what had happened to him, but it was disturbing to think that Mitsu had to go through something similar before.

Sitting next to Patches now Mitsu still clung to the dog like he was a safety line. Her face was filled with worry but they had already discussed what she was worried about. Hopefully after Blade ate he would be willing to look for a way out. Suto hadn't said he needed to stay so if he managed to escape it was all fair.
"Y...yeah," Mitsu nodded. "Sorta. I...I was never infected with a parasite. I think...me may have used me to develop the parasite." She said quietly. "I..I'm sorry. I never imagine...he would use the things he tested out on me on other people."

Beginning to eat the sandwich rather ravenously, Blade paused for a moment as Mitsu apologized for the parasite. His gaze stayed on the floor for a bit before shaking his head as he glanced up at her. He couldn't really blame her for it.
"It's not your fault. I doubt anyone could really guess... what he's up to," he sighed, "I always knew he didn't like me but... this was not quite what I was expecting, even with what Neko's said before."
It was ironic. The time he finds this place was the one where he couldn't reveal it.

"Neko? T....the janitor?" Mitsu questioned looking up toward Blade. "What do you mean...what he told you? What does he know?"
She looked a little distressed to think that the janitor might know what was going on. It was hard to say why, she didn't want people to get involved if they didn't have to...but if he had known that Suto was like this...why hadn't he been stopped before? Then again, Suto was rather sneaky, on the surface he appeared to be nothing more than a regular science teacher out to give his students a tough time.

Soon finishing the one sandwich, Blade let out a sigh, wondering how much he should say. At this point, he supposed that it didn't matter a great deal. Most likely, Suto already knew Neko was suspicious.
"He knows Suto is up to something. He just doesn't know what. He found me sneaking around one night and told me to report to him if I found anything out," he said with a frown, "Basically... he's not just a janitor. Hakim suspects a few things too but he can't do anything without evidence..."

"Evidence...." Mitsu repeated. Suto was very good about hiding that. And if he was exposed now...what would become of her and Blade. It wasn't just her life on the line anymore.
"What does...Neko think that Mr. Adolphus is doing?" He obviously didn't know about her or she would have been approached...or at least she would think she would be. It's possible that she was just collateral damage at this point.

"He never told me that much. He just suspects it's not exactly legal or... ethical," he replied, recalling that night near the beginning of the schoolyear, "Maybe he has more of an idea than that but... I don't know. Oh, and he's trying to keep an eye on Lou too."
It was almost hard to forget about the elder vampire. While the thief didn't see him around right now, he wouldn't be surprised if the guy was in on this whole mess.

"Lou..." Mitsu recalled seeing and smelling Lou down in the sub-basement. The vampire wasn't involved with her much but he was definitely a part of whatever Suto was doing and for whatever reason. He probably just enjoyed it more than anything.
Trying to steer the conversation away from where it was headed, at least partially, Mitsu looked to Blade again. "H...have you eaten enough? I...I think if we both try we might be able to find a way to get you out. You can take Patches." It would at least get the poor dog somewhere safe. She didn't want to hurt him a second time.

The thief was still very worn down, but the food and drink at least helped refreshed him some. Frowning at what Mitsu said, he took a moment before replying to her.
"I'll help get him away, but I'm not leaving," he said while slowly standing up, grimacing as he was still sore. Blade made his way over towards the door and examined it, looking to see if there was a keyhole he could exploit from the inside. If so, this would be a rather simple task.

Mitsu seemed rather distressed that Blade kept insisting on staying. "I appreciate that you want to stay by me but I don't want you to get hurt. It would make me feel better...knowing your somewhere safe away from here."
Sensing movement Patches pulled away from Mitsu's hold and trotted over to where Blade was working on the door. He was a little clumsy in doing so and in the end ran into Blade's legs which brought him to a halt...but he had found who he was looking for so that was what counted. Panting happily, oblivious to the grim situation, Patches sat back on his haunches and gave a happy bark in Blade's direction. It didn't seem like much phased the dog for very long. Either he had a short attention span for it or he really wasn't all there in the head.

After giving the handle a good look, Blade reached into his pocket to grab a pick to start working at the lock. He paused a bit as Mitsu spoke, glancing over at the girl a bit.
"How about this. I'll stay however long it takes for things to get heated. Once stuff gets too rough, I'll leave," he suggested. The thief didn't like the idea of abandoning her here, but it seemed to be a decent intermediate option.

Mitsu seemed to weigh that option for a moment before she hesitantly nodded. "O..okay." She didn't really want Blade to see her go crazy but....she supposed he already had. There was a hope that he would have enough time to escape and wouldn't wait until the last minute.
Curiously Mitsu got up from her seat on the floor since Patches seemed amused by the noises Blade kept making. The little click click clicks made the dog's each twitch each time, tilting his head back and forth as if trying to decipher what the noise was.
"I guess you know how to pick locks?" Mitsu asked eying the lock pick he was using. He...actually had the tools for the job. "Do you get shoved in your locker a lot too?" Though, when Shun was around Mitsu hardly ever got shoved in her locker and now that Desmond stayed close the majority of the time it was a rarity to see the inside of one. Hopefully it would stay that way.

Smiling faintly as she agreed to that, Blade went back to working at the lock. Before too long, he heard that familiar click and the door was unlocked. Straightening up, he placed the pick back into his pocket and turned towards Mitsu, pausing a bit at the question.
"It happened a couple of times, but it doesn't really happen a lot, but yeah I can pick them."
He hadn't really faced a lock he hadn't been able to break through with time. Though, there was probably some locks out there that could keep him out.
".. You can pick locks too?"
