Scorch Robert Mason Jr.
Alpha - Team Bleachers to Library - Location Recovering from a bad post >< - Currently Rob couldn't help but laugh at Aurelie's comment about his codename. "Only if you count that time I severely burnt my toast... in the toaster," he said jokingly, though honestly. "Oh, and the pastry I uh... killed in the microwave," he added slightly embarrassed before nodding his acknowledgement to Lexi.
Rob then listened carefully as Bella began to explain the few extra rules they'd need to be following now that they were on a junior team. They all seemed easy enough to follow, though he couldn't guarantee he'd wake up if there was a call while he was asleep. He also picked up on the understatement of her powers. If it was only good for parlour tricks, why would she be leading a junior team? Then they were dismissed. Sort of. He probably wouldn't even have though about departing if the others hadn't started moving. He had to be honest though, he was thankful to be moving away from... was it Adam? There was just something about him that unsettled Rob.
"Well, it was nice meeting you all," he offered as stood up. Still admittedly unsure, he turned and headed off towards the library. He would have joined the group heading to the dorms, but he had made the move to his new dorm prior to the meet and greet. Besides, just because he was taking the year off didn't mean he was going to slack off in his studies... much. When he got to the library, his senses were pleasantly assaulted by the smell aging books, of paper, of kindling. He subconsciously reached for the lighter in his pocket as he breathed it all in, but then his mind jumped back to his previous school, to the fire lit by his own hands, by the very lighter in his pocket. Despite the guilt, the remorse, for that break, for giving in to his darker self, he had to admit he enjoyed it.
His mind snapping back to reality, he took his hand away from his pocket as he headed towards the shelves of textbooks. His eyes quickly scanned over the group in the library, instantly recognising no one, naturally. He couldn't help but consider the possibility of their being a team rivalry though. In hind sight, that probably would have been a good question to ask. Shrugging it off, Rob weaved through the shelves, though admittedly not really in search of anything.

Omega – Oompa Loompa duba-di doJacen chuckled as Christian and Leion both started at his entrance, turning to Christian, “Haha, hey man don’t lose your head.” He grinned at the jab at the bumpkin’s Halloween-form. He placed a hand on the counter across from Shandra, sliding up onto it smoothly before waving back to the redhead. “Hey now Leion, the board didn’t break… the bolts holding it did.” One of the metal fastenings had nearly taken his ear off before following trajectory into the next county. They seemed to be having a bit of a hate train on Alek at the moment. Not that he particularly disagreed with them, the cryokinetic had almost made him into a squid-cicle at one point. But at the same time… “I don’t know, I kinda feel sorry for him…” Who knew where Artic was now? Safe to assume not at the academy, hanging with teammates like they were. Roland walking in sparked a wave and greeting from the Omega. “ Ofo (Hey) Roland” He said, listening as the man offered to clean up any messes made. Not a good idea if Shandra was- Wait, why was Shandra not cooking? What is this madness? Has the world stopped spinning? Sentinels started attacking? Oh well, Roland seemed intent on making something, and took on the idea of making a chocolate cake for Cissa. Wait, what? He couldn’t imagine Narcissa going near chocolate. “I don’t think that rumor was on the up.” Unless it was some sort of ultra-expensive mars-black chocolate harvested in South America through pigmy slave labor and wrapped in 24 carat gold foiling. And produced with Zero Calories. Christian’s departure was met with yet another wave from Jacen, “ Filemu~” The OctOmega yawned, before shaking his curly wet hair, sending droplets of water into the air, not enough to drench anything but still enough to be typically uncivil. “Besides, I don’t think sucking up to the boss will make whatever hell she has for us today any less torturous.” Jacen added in an oddly jovial tone. I’ve got a lesson only for you

"They don't know... What I know... They never seen this side of you... They Know the lies, I know the truth "They say stay... I say go... They never saw our stars before They think our love is beautiful..." "Everything is beautiful when you see them through... Rose Colored Glasses" ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Marcel Porter ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Marcel watched as new faces appeared to everyone leaving off to their own little destinations. That left him with wondering what he would do for the moment to pass time. He jumped off the bleachers, landing on the ground with a slight thud. Would it be alright if he walked the streets by himself? He didn't chance it with the weather, but he wanted to see something. He could manipulate water after all. Could he be able to prevent it from raining? That was near impossible for him for the moment since he had just discovered his ability and so far, he only knew how to draw things near him, even his own body. As far as he could tell, the clouds were far up. He walked back in, heading into the hallways, raindrops bouncing off of him in the air before they even came into contact with him.
Now he had freedom from that meeting which didn't last as long as he thought it would have. This gave him time to take a few look at things. He headed to the library only to make observations of things, scan it rather, and be on his way. He noticed Robert there and others he didn't familiarize. He walked through the library, examining every aspect of the place and then walked out. Next on his list of places to examine was the kitchen. That and it didn't hurt to eat something either. He could get a little sidetracked while going there though. He walked down the halls slowly just to observe everything such as the pictures on the walls to the flowers in vases on the desks with lamps. He walked stopped at the doors to the kitchen as he gave everything one more look before entering.
He walked into the kitchen. He looked around for a bit, noticing several others there. From his guess, they had to either be omegas or alphas that didn't come to the meeting. It was just for recruits after all. He wouldn't stay long. He could get a jist of everything in there. Why was he going through the trouble of examining everything? His father had him do things like that. He had to know his surroundings even for the smallest of details. He couldn't afford something unfortunate to happen to him, his team for that matter, or just anyone near him. He walked out the kitchen, and headed towards the dining hall. He knew how to cook some things, but they weren't nothing special. He had to eat something after all in that hideout when his father was nowhere in sight, but he preferred a better meal than what he could fix. That was if anyone fixed anything like some cafeteria of some sort. He wasn't sure how things worked there fully just yet. If not, then he would have to go back to fix something and face his problem that if it didn't become apparent to others already, then it would become apparent soon enough; his problem of talking or being near others without something bizarre happening.
He walked into the dining hall. Now, what to do from there was what he was thinking. He sighed as he fully walked in. Right now, just sitting somewhere far from everyone with a view of the place and a near exit would suffice for him. He spotted a seat that fit every description of what he was thinking and proceeded for it. "Everything is amazing when you see the view in... Rose Colored Glasses Take em' Off" ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Team: Alpha Code Name: Tsunami Location: Examining surroundings ( Just looking around ). She's lost in the darkness, Fading away I'm still around here, Screaming her name She's haunting my dreamworld, Trying to survive My heart is frozen, I'm losing my mind ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ Name: Ƞarcissa "Cissa" Ƚucania Team: Ѻmega Location: Library Thinking: Alpha's get around....XXXXXXXXXXXX═════════════════════════════════════════════“Ooo…A&P is a must—If you bloody manage not to fail ethics and government!”, she shot back to Aren over her comm link without missing a beat, voice the epitome of sarcasm. Her solid footsteps kept time with her words, letting her fall into the pattern of walking mindlessly about the school. She’d lived in these halls so long… She didn’t even have to think about where she was going. Hearing that Dom was having trouble too, she raised a brow—Why hadn’t Emma mentioned that? “Then tell Dom it’s a date. Ménage à trois.”
Perhaps if she weren’t so furious and distracted about the boys failing grades…And what Emma would do, if they failed…She might not have smacked into something short—Angrier than she was, and hard as hell.
“Watch where yer goin, kid.”, came the gruff voice of one of the few people that she tended to at least…Try and respect. Why? She wasn’t entirely sure…Maybe it was because of the way he’d trained her as a younger, much more rotten child… Or perhaps it was the fact that he was likely the most lethal thing she’d ever met on two legs. Nevertheless, her nasty comment froze in her throat the moment her nose caught the perpetual scent of cheap beer and cigar smoke.
Absently, she rubbed her arm… It wasn’t pleasant in the slightest running into a man comprised of an adamantium skeleton. “You watch it.”
Even in the face of her better, she was still sassy. “And stop calling me kid. Unless you missed it, eighteen was a few years ago.”
“Fine. I’ll just call you what the rest of the school does.”, Logan grunted back, his words skewed as he spoke around an unlit cigar butt. Professor X still didn’t like smoking within the mansion. “B—“
“Beautiful. That is what they call you, Narcissa.”, came the serene tones of Ororo Monroe as she placed a hand on the Wolverine’s shoulder. The feral man looked faintly put out at having his insult moved into a compliment, shrugging her hand off…Though he let it slide, when it came to the dark skinned woman.
“I’m sure they do.”, Narcissa responded with a slight tilt of her head, a small smirk crossing her features…She knew very well what word he’d been leaning towards. It rhymed with witch. The whole scenario made her smirk grow… She might not have liked Scott very much…But Wolverine was another matter. Perhaps it was simply that she loved to hate him. Her blue eyes flickered over him for a moment—Gauging his current temper before her next retort. “I bet they say the same kind word about you.”
He glared as Storm ushered him along, no doubt setting out to keep an eye on some of the younger students, and she smiled that conniving, coquettish grin that USED to make Scott think she was just misunderstood.
Used to.
She went on her ‘merry’ way, inclining her head to Christian as he passed her—Darker lashes brushing against pale cheeks as she looked back up at him. “Country.”, she replied cordially without missing a beat to his calling her ma’am. While she used to refer to him as the ‘Bumpkin’ he’d at least raised on her social status to where the insult was less of an insult and more of a vaguely offensive term of endearment.
He didn’t stop to talk, but merely kept going—So did she, assuming there was nothing he needed to discuss.
Narcissa wouldn’t have even gone into the Library at all, if it hadn’t been for a very familiar and well despised Alpha voice saying words, that in her current temperament and penchant for torturing the weak and pathetic—Could not be ignored. Quote: " I happened to pass Government with flying colors last year, and since I think you're cute and all, and I just happen to have some extra time on my hands, I'd be willing to offer my services for the all-time low price of free. She pivoted in that direction, quite sure that her heels would announce her presence before she arrived… Though truth be told, she wasn’t the only woman in the Academy that sported pumps… Hers were simply some of the highest. Azure eyes leveled themselves at Raine without mercy, hips rolling in their usual saucy confident gait, “I’m sorry—I’m to understand that the Alpha’s are giving it away for free now?”
She looked between Dom and Aren—Noticing Maddison with a sassy wink, and further off in the room, a new student who’s name she didn’t recall. Alpha’s were inconsequential. “Have you two learned nothing of VD?”
"Does Gideon know? I think I'd like to be the first to inform him...But if the lot of you need sex ed classes...Talk to Emma. Dr McCoy will explain rubbers to you. I've no interest in telling you about what happens when bee's and skanky birds hook up."
The sun goddess moved in a straight, leisurely line quickly deciding on which one of them needed punishment more. Who hadn’t she picked on lately? Smiling sweetly, in a way that should have had anyone present, worried, and looking for the nearest bomb shelter—She slid into Dom’s lap with all the grace of a little queen, her arm hooking delicately over his shoulder while her other hand smoothed her mini, somehow managing to remain completely decent throughout the movement. Her expression was very serious as she looked at him, azure eyes the color of ice—See through. They were nearly nose to nose. “Be a good boy, and explain to me why you’re trying to make me look bad by failing your classes.”
“And then…Tell me how you’re going to fix it.”, she went on, her head tilting just so— In a way that would make it seem that she was really going to seal the deal with a kiss. Before she pulled back with a light, breathy chuckle, leaning against the Slovenian as if he were a lazy-boy. “I was having a wonderful, wonderful day. Peace and quiet…Until a little bird whispered that Aren is near failing out, again. Some idiot Omega decided that trying to blackmail -me- was a -novel- idea…Oh, and the lot of you are taking Solicitations from an Alpha.”
She reached up, and gently pinched Dom’s cheek—Her voice less than playful as she glared. “Why do you people want me to lose my bloody mind? Did I forget to feed you? Water you?”
The sun goddess stared at Aren for a moment, leveling him a particular glare that he would have noticed her share with others that had garnered her disapproval. To be truthful… She didn’t much mind that Raine had offered to help them. It was simply principle, that she was Alpha—And there, so obviously, it was open season. “The both of you will pass…", whether it was with the aide of someone's notes who had taken the class before or not was not yet determined..."So help me God.”
She smirked, mentally correcting herself. 'God help you.'
“You pair haven’t even reached the point where apathy should be a bloody issue yet….”, her eyes turned to Maddy, her head tilting as she took in the fact that the girl was also in the library—A soft groan of displeasure running through her. It was unlikely…But She was already two out of three. She could -not- lose her entire bloody team to academic issues.
“Tell me—Please tell me you aren’t failing too.”
Narcissa was this close, to calling it a day. To throwing in the towel, and just spending the remainder of the afternoon in the gym—Making the punching bag feel her annoyance. Then again, why do that—When she could make everyone else feel her 'annoyance'? She settled comfortably into Dom, like a Cheshire cat. Yes, that sounded far more entertaining.
Dom officially needed to eat more. Christ, he was bony. ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

Alpha: Location - Bleachers, This has been another horrible post brought to you by Master Cliff Fate.|552|▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
Bianca continued laying down by the pool running her fingers through the water while she was off in la la land. She was aware that she should be doing other things elsewhere but right now she just wanted to be alone to think of how she was going to go about this apologizing for basically abandoning everyone. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that Bella would forgive her yet she didn't know exactly why. As far as she knew nobody else had abandoned them like that. She was the only one. An effort should have been made to stay strong until the entire thing was over and done with. Finally sitting up Bianca dried her hand on her jeans and bit her lip slightly as she looked straight ahead. With the influx of new members it wouldn't be too hard to find Bella if she really looked. Was she prepared to deal with the other people that were likely around her right now? Probably not but it was better to get things out of the way sooner rather than later.
Standing up and turning towards the lounge she didn't feel like returning there where there were all those people. Hopefully Bella had chosen to go elsewhere. Walking off in a random direction it didn't take long to see people coming from a singular direction in groups. Going in that direction she came to the bleachers that had a few unrecognized faces along with Bella and Gideon. One of the men present just so happened to be green. Like a frog. Making sure to not stare as it would be impolite Bianca just stood in awkward silence for what seemed like eternity as she tried to think of the right thing to say. "Hi Isabella and Gideon." Turning her attention to the others she gave a small wave of greeting to them before introducing herself. "Uh hi I'm Alpha." Of course that would have to be what she got out. "I mean my name is Bianca an Alpha nice to meet you." Turning away quickly as a small amount of embarrassment made itself known Bianca knew she had to continue with what she came to tell or it wouldn't be said.
"Uh Bella about the uh nightmare world thing I'm sorry that I kind of went um...poof." Wait what if she didn't even know she was gone? Shaking such thoughts from her head she didn't want to get into why with everyone assembled. Telling people you just met that you were basically crazy would not make a good first impression. She already had a hard enough time with first impressions and she didn't need anything else going against her in that department. Bianca made sure to avoid eye contact the entire time as she fidgeted with the bottom of her black shirt with her left hand. Using her right hand she nervously tucked some hair behind her ear as she waited. After a few moments she figured it would be a good idea to see what everyone else's name was. "Uh what are your names?" Looking in their direction she still made sure to avoid eye contact for the moment. She was sure her nervousness with the situation showed through but she did need to get this over and done with.

Alphas, the winning team. Note to Self: watch out for Tara when inviting girls over..and when im showing them the door Dimitri had to take a drink of his protein shake while he allowed Tara the honor of attempting to figure him out. Plus the thing was losing it's temperature. At this rate it was going to border around being room temperature. Furthermore it was always safe to say that nobody liked beverages at room temperature. The first thing that Dimitri thought about when she mentioned that they may have a few things both of them liked was what went down in the bedroom. Dimitri was taking a shot in the dark, a big guess when he thought that she was a girl that liked to take charge and get wild underneath the sheets. A few girls he dated were like that, especially the nice innoncent looking ones. The ones who were shy most of the time, carried their books in a typical school girl fashion. One would think their personality would stay the same behind closed doors. But there have been times when even the best looking member on the Alpha team(Dimitri) had to literally take a step back and say "Are you sure about that?" or even preferring something a bit safer.
What came next was a bit scary for Dimitri. Yes he joked that she was spying on him from time to time when it came to his choice of dates but now he wondered was she really spying on him. He was at the peak of spitting out his chocolate shake when she called him out on the type of girls he brought at the school. It sounded like she was a little bit jealous at the fact that he decided to venture outside of his playground that was the mansion. Would she have preferred that Dimitri stayed restricted and pick from the girls here? He blocked his mouth that was dripping with small traces of his drink with a fist, for he needed time to swallow, being unable to stop her from contiuning. But then again he liked to hear her talk and look at her so it was a win situation for Dimitri anyway.
As she continued, Playboy was suprised that Tara still remembered what happened back at the party. It was the next event after the beach party where his personality when he was younger kicked in for a while. He forgot, or didn't tell his non-mutant date that they were a bit higer on the food chain. That they had special talents that most the population didn't seem to have. Nothing like touching one's nose with their tongue or being able to solve quadruple multiplication in your head in less than a minute. Talents like manipulating magma, electricity and other things that made the average human become filled with fear. Since he sent Sonya packing he hasn't bothered trying to make contact with her; the same thing couldn't be said for her.
Voicemails and message that revealed that she overreacted and she wanted to start over filled up his phone days after. Her friends even called him up asking him to meet up with her so they could talk. By the end of the week it seemed like Sonya gave up trying to get in touch with Dimitri and gave his inbox the freedom it deserved. It was allowed to be filled up with other women now. Tara was right when he told him it didn't convey a good point to his female friends. Dimitri already learned his lesson, which could explain why he decided to invite the girls over late at night when everyone was more than likely catching some shut eye. Or even waking up early, disturbing his beauty sleep to walk them out the door with nobody watching. One thing was for sure and it was that Dimitri wasn't going to bring a date(a human date anyway) to the dinner tonight.
"I go outside the "Academy pool" because why restrict myself? I like all types of women. And it doesn't matter if they're mutant of not, most of the girls i date can kick my a**. Just look at me, Im fragile" he laughed. "I'll cry if you hit me in the arm."
And he was willing to play out the part if she decided to get physical, from wincing his eye in pain with his mouth wide open to falling on the ground and playing dead.
"And maybe it's not so much i don't like to have fun with the same girl twice, even though i try believe it or not...." he told her with a small shrug before taking another drink of his shake, reaching the halfway point. "But maybe i just haven't found a girl that-"
Daylia may not have been aware but she had good timing on her part when she walked into he cafeteria. He felt like he was putting too much out on the table and not receiving anything in return. Dimtiri didn't want to go into how he felt sometimes when he woke up alone with girls he wanted to get to know better. He let her sit alone this time, giving her a wave hoping that she would recognize him. After their adventure in halloween town, Daylia was another person that made it Dimitri's friend list that night in addition to Roland. As for Tara, the role of interrogator switched to Dimitri.
"But enough about me, im nothing special. Do you prefer to date mutants only or do you go outside the pool every once in a while?"

Team Alpha's Moonlight Name: Tsukino Kazuki Ability: Barrier Creation Location:Walked from Room to Kitchen to get Bento Tsukino stretched her arms as she got up from her bed.She had been lying down for the longest but couldn't get to sleep. It was probably because her stomach was growling like a monster due to hunger. She was trying not to eat alot since she didnt want to walk to the fridge downstairs and didnt want to have to run into any Omegas. She didnt have anything against them but she felt like they wouldnt like her.But as always she wouldn't know until she tried. She quickly slipped on her heels and made her way out of the room and down the steps. She was thinking of stopping by the Library on her way back to her room but she felt like she was going to eat forever she was so hungry. She continued on to the kitchen where the bento she had made earlier would still be,Hopefully, if no one decided to eat it.Luckily not alot of people were fans of sushi,so more than likely her bento would still be there.
As she entered the kitchen something red caught her eye.She turned her head slightly to see a girl(Daylia) about her age eating from a tray of delicious looking desserts. She had beautiful red hair that was long but no too long and curled.Tsukino would have to ask the girl to curl her hair like that one day.She then saw two others when she got to the fridge. One was the geokinetic she had heard so much about. Her name was Tara if Tsukino's memory had served her correctly. But she had no idea who the man(Dimitri) was but guessed he was a Alpha as well. The two of them werent at the little meeting outside today. She wondered why as she got out her bento and moved to find a table. She decided to sit at the table near them,so that if she was up to it she would introduce herself to her fellow team members.Tsukino got herself comfortable as she sat down and opened her bento. She liked cooked sushi only unlike the rest of her family and most japanese people she knew, who ate it raw.Something about that was not apetizing to her.She dipped one in teryaki sauce and brought it to her mouth for a explosion of flavors. She had made this herself and used some of the left over shrimp in the fridge. It was delicious! She looked up slightly from her food to get a good look at the male sitting next to Tara. She wasn't sure who he(Dimitri) was but he was stunning. She could see the outline of his chest underneath his shirt and was amazed by it.She almost choked on her food as she tried to swallow. She looked back down and blushed at the fact she had been staring. She had been doing that alot lately.First with Gideon and now him,but could you blame her?! Her face was probably as red as a apple by that point. She continued to eat her food as she tried to supress her thoughts of him.

◥█████████████████████████████████████◣ ♬◥████████████████████████████████████████◣Team: AlphaxxxMutation: TelekineticxxxLocation: Music room with Leo She'd only noticed that Leo had tensed up in the meeting out of coincidence. Admittedly, her attention was a bit more fine tuned where he was concerned because he was a familiar face – something that pacified her a bit, even if the person in question hadn't been close with her before.
Aurelie shrugged casually at Tsukino's assessment, masking well her guilt over the matter. Really, she'd not wanted to embarrass the poor girl, but the blond was no way in a hurry to jump into a training session so soon after meeting some of her teammates. Getting to know their personalities beforehand would prove more prudent before trying to jump through hoops a training session would offer. . “Will do.” The telekinetic nodded, smiling at her new teammate. ”Catch us for dinner later?” She invited, trying to make up for the girl's hurt feelings.
Lexi had accepted her invite, and Aurelie fought the urge to beam. ”See you!”
As the rain started to drop from the sky, Aurelie didn't even think about the urge to do an invisible push upwards to keep from getting soaked, and the raindrops bounced off of the force with a tapping noise. “Stand close, and hurry so we don't get too wet.” Aurelie offered to Leo, remembering his sentiments about wanting to miss the rainy experience.
A part of her told her it'd look better if they got someone to join in on their now group of two... but the one person who seemed at all interested had caused a pinch of exasperation in Leo's expression when the guy started speaking French – a detail she'd not be likely to forget. “I don't think that has ever happened before...” She said, letting her gaze fall back on the green skinned man as they walked. ”Do I look French?” She asked, the question posed to be rhetorical if he chose not to reply. “Were it German... I'd have understood, but...” Minus the French she'd learned strictly for ballet... it'd never been something she desired to learn. “Surely, he wasn't trying to make a..” Ah. Crap... he was probably trying to hit on her, and she'd failed to take note.
Two people with potentially hurt feelings in a span of five minutes. God, she was on a roll.
Leo caught onto the fact that she played piano shortly after Tsukino, and Aurelie's features were touched with a bit of a shy smile. It'd not been something she was going to publicize until she was sure she could play again without getting all emotional, but Scott hadn't uttered to Bella the need for digression, and it was a little too late to stop the snowball now. “A bit...” She said offhandedly, drastically undercutting her classical training. “Though I hadn't played in nearly two years until last week, so I'm probably as rusty as one can get.”
But she needed no more invitation than that to start heading the music room, only to have her nerves come up into her throat for a second at the prospect of playing. They made it inside, and luckily Aurelie's clothes were only spotted with raindrops from where she'd not put up her shield fast enough. Once inside, Aurelie took in a deep breath before sitting down at the bench before the keys. Her fingers – without pressing down – traced the gloss on the keys, as though she were familiarizing herself with the feeling.
“Alright...” She said, azure orbs coming to meet Leo's. “Don't laugh too hard when I mess up.” Really... because she was liable to fudge up the middle of the slurs, hit the wrong key... forget the notes... ”Maybe after a warm-up we could do a duet.” She giggled then, not knowing at all what he might know. Biting her lip, the telekinetic closed her eyes, allowing herself to feel the position of the keys rather than see them. The melody in her head was that of Beethoven's Sonata – a song that she used often to practice when she was still attending Julliard.
Her fingers started softly, but as she progressed through the composition, it grew, swelled into the air and decrescendo where it was supposed to be soft, with more feeling. It'd been so long, but playing the piano was like riding a bike for her, pressing the keys felt like home. Though no one but perhaps Emma could see it, she wondered if dancing would feel the same way. And if she weren't still bitter with how things had turned out, she would have satisfied that curiosity.
As the last notes lingered in the air, Aurelie looked up to Leo for the first time since sitting down. “I should probably work at playing the newer pieces of music at some point, Beethoven's just a little bit outdated.” She shrugged then, knowing that she only new pieces from two years ago and beyond, simply because she'd not had it in her to even look at a piano. “So...” The blond really hadn't a clue of what else to say. Sitting and talking about piano would likely be boring for the man. And awkward, seeing as she'd poured so much of herself into the song. For that, she was slightly embarrassed...
Picking the first thing that came to mind, Aurelie segued into a new subject, one that he might find more interesting. “You transferred teams as well...” Her head tilted with an innocent curiosity, long locks of blond hair brushing the tops of the keys. “Am I allowed to ask what caused you to make that decision?” Change of heart?
As soon as she said it though, she realized how big of a mistake it was – Leo probably didn't want to talk about S.H.I.E.L.D. Oops. ◥████████████████████████████████████◣ ♬◥████████████████████████████ The music flows, because it longs For the heart I once had Living today without a way to understand the weight of the world Faded and torn, old and forlorn My weak and hoping heart

ALPHA:Outside: Feels like rain. Gideon listened to everyone as they spoke at the meeting. Eli had decided to join them again it seemed what ever drew him away from Xavier's was finished for now. Bella went for her usual mimic of Logan to show of a small bit of her power. She always chose Logan when she wants to show her power to new people, the words change of course but always Logan. Probably cause everyone knew Logan was a hard a** and then hearing his voice and the ridiculous statement come from the Alpha leader was genuinely going to be seen as amusing to people. It wasn't long and another new recruit (Brayden) joined them at the bleachers. Though at this point the meeting was pretty much over. Never mind that rain would probably soon be forcing them to vacate the bleachers anyhow. Seems most were stragglers this morning. As frog boy Fink decided to make an appearance. Gideon couldn't say he much cared for the frog boy. His greeting was one that made mention back to the altered reality nonsense from a month prior. The boy was acting like he hadn't seen them over the last month when ever the team had a meeting or and exercise. "Yeah but Frog Boy unlike you the year on the calendar may change. But I will probably look the same in a hundred years. So really that comment in a way only applies to you." Gideon said flatly to the green skinned mutant. At this point the majority of the group had left when Bella called an end to the meeting saying they could stay or go do as they please with in the confines of the rules that is. "Oh it leaves you just where you would any how. Trying to hit on every girl at the institute with out any success." Gideon said to Fink. He didn't really get the whole chase of any female that walks on two legs some of the guys around her seem to do. All they seemed to care about was that next conquest so they could then move on to another. Never mind that these ones still seemed to try to flirt with Bella or what not. He wasn't sure if they thought she would swoon instantly and she would dump him to be with them or what. He had to admit it was difficult at times not to just strike one of them as hard as he could, though even with out his claws the blow would lead to a severe injury for most around here. But then again he figured none were lucky enough to find the right girl like he had in Bella so they had to chase every skirt that walked by. They were different but they just seemed to work. Gideon then turned to Bella. "So since the meetings over want to go catch a movie or something? Walk in the rain maybe it doesn't appear to be a thunder storm just a rain storm." He asked her. Sure there were still a couple others besides the two of them left out here. But the majority had headed off to do what ever it was they felt like doing with their day. Guess the question was asked none to soon as the first drops of rain began to fall. Nothing hard it was merely a light sprinkle. Rain had to come sometimes Storm couldn't keep it nice all the time or she would cause some sort of problem to the balance to the eco system of the area. Not that Gideon minded rain anyway. Though the book would certainly need to deposited inside if they were going to stay out in the rain.

Kitchen – Gotta relieve that tension Well…seemed like Christian didn’t know if they were going to be put through the ringer or not either. Shandra nodded lightly when he excused himself and let out a quiet affirmative even if she knew that her “taking it easy” was a hard thing to spot.
Shandra’s jaw clenched lightly and her hands curled tighter against the counter behind her as she heard the news that Doctor McCoy had told Roland about an issue she had. So much for doctor patient confidentiality – after all that wasn’t exactly something she…well, it just didn’t feel right to have out in the open. It was kind of like dirty laundry, best kept to ones self. And the fact that Roland thought to even ask was definitely an indication that he was trying to get one up on everyone…not exactly a person that inspired any inkling to trust.
Still, she wasn’t sure what itched more – the fact that Beast was so loose lipped about other’s conditions when people didn’t have a right to know, or the fact that Roland was snooping for matters that didn’t concern him. She supposed the combination of both was the kicker. What was up with the medical industry lately?
‘Memo to self…do not check bank accounts with him in the area.’
“No thank you,” Shandra replied to Roland’s offer and inferred questions. She knew better than to take food from a stranger that knew her secrets by now…burned one too many times.
There was a strange tense ease about her as she let go of the counter and moved away a little. It wasn’t something she did intentionally – the moving to be on guard. But with the idea that secrets were slipping all of the unconscious work to loosen up was just…gone – at least for now. It might seem like a little thing for some people but the redhead in question had never been good with letting people see her weak points. Even the look on Jacen’s face when he realized that for once she was not in there cooking and making a mess could get her out of the calm guard that Roland had accidentally triggered. Unless he didn’t accidentally do it and meant to do it on purpose.
Splatters of water hit her face when Jacen decided to shake his hair. Shandra blinked, slowly and felt the slight bit more weight on her eyelashes because of the water. She reached her hand up and brushed off the residual water while giving him a light glare. Or, at least, she thought it had been light but considering the mood that had set in she could have very well been giving him a cold death glare. However, the random stray (Marcel), caught her attention for a moment as he walked in the kitchen and then straight out of it. Almost like he was looking for someone or something…
Oh, wait, was that her fingernails biting into her newly re-grown skin?
Shandra shook out her hand behind her back, the flesh lightly torn and stinging. Okay…now she really didn’t know why she was so stressed out over the confidentiality fact. Really…damn it she needed something to calm her down.
“…I’m going for a swim,” Shandra breathed out, directing her attention to Leion and Jacen.
She moved through the kitchen without a pause after that, moving her hand to see the split up palm as she walked through the hall. The pool would make it feel horrible, sure, but she didn’t have to stay in there for long. She just needed to move and find a way to let off the tension. Why did that stress her out so much?

Omega Lounge heading to the cafeteria On the subject of food...dinner... There were a few new things that Megan would need to adjust to and one of them was an increased amount of physical activity. She was sure that a danger room session wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. The other would be learning and getting to know her team mates. Picking the leader was easy but getting to know them...not so much. That was something that time would take care of though. But back to the subject of food, seeing Megan had skipped breakfast earlier, Kerrigan brought up someone making dinner later. ”Can’t say I’ve had a lot of French cooking but I’ll try anything once.” She said with a nod as Orchid opted to join them for lunch. Megan had to laugh as none of the two other people here had the ability to cook. ”It’s nice to know I’m not alone in my culinary handicap.” She said with a nod to Christian when he came in. Though he was talking to Kerrigan Megan decided to invite him to lunch anyways. ”We’re going to grab something for lunch want to join us?” She offered. She glanced at Orchid who mentioned having some art that needed to be done. ”I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler. But I can carve and do woodwork like no one’s business. Megan’s artistic issues stemmed from the fact that she could barely hold a pen. Her homework was always a chore because she either needed to carefully type something up on a computer or haul out an old fashioned typewriter. She was about to head out before recalling that she hadn’t heard if the other gentleman (Christian) wanted to join them. He looked rather comfortable on the chair he had fallen into. She patiently waited for an answer before she would start off towards the cafeteria. She paused and quickly looked about her. Purse...what did she...oh there it is. She leaned over and snagged it and pulled it up before she forgot about it. She frowned at one of her nails just noticing something. ”I broke a nail.” For Megan chipping or breaking a nail was probably as damaging as a normal person loosing half of their nail. Megan inspected the thumbnail sized divot in the bony claw for a moment. It was high enough up on the nail where it would probably grind off when she filed her claws down and if not it would buff out. She had to file them down or they tended to get brittle and break and having them snap off was painful.

Name: Leonardo "Renaissance Man" Rossi Team: Alphas Location: Music Room with Aurelie Uneasy Past… But Seriously, Who Doesn’t Have One? He stepped closer to Aurelie as she said to get closer as to avoid the rain, but not too close as to inhibit that he was physically attracted to her. Not that he wasn’t… but he wasn’t too keen on showing it. Leonardo decided to stay silent when the question of whether or not she looked French came up. In his mind, he did not associate blond and blue-eyed with French… but with German or Russian. He only nodded when Aurelie realized that Adam was trying to make a pass at her, but then again, Adam had done that to every single girl within walking distance of the Academy already… so it was pretty much hazing or initiation. Leonardo would have assured her to not worry about it so much, but then again she could be one of those people who always fret over what people think of her.
As they stepped into the mansion, Leonardo remarked, “Don’t worry, I’m probably way rustier than you are. I haven’t played in about four years… unless you count that one time…” Leonardo’s voice trailed off, resounding off of the mansion walls. That ‘one time’ he spoke of was when he was in S.H.I.E.L.D. and he had to play the piano once in order to keep his cover. Blinking a few times, Leonardo realized something: his life was extremely boring before he joined a super-secret government agency. Every experience he thinks about goes to ‘Well, when I was in S.H.I.E.L.D.’ or, ‘Yeah, I did that… in S.H.I.E.L.D.’ He needed to get a life. They made their way to the music room, and Leo opted to merely lean on the piano with his forearm so he could observe Aurelie while she played.
When Aurelie inquired about a duet, Leonardo gave a chuckle and said, “Nah, I wouldn't want to mess you up.” Then she started playing… and Leonardo was amazed. He had never seen someone so enthralled while playing the piano… and playing it well. Better than well… astounding. Leonardo couldn’t help but look at her with a sense of infatuation and wonder. She wasn’t even looking at the magnificent instrument at her fingertips. Leo had to constantly look down at his long fingers to make sure he was playing the right keys. But Aurelie didn’t have to look because the piano seemed to be a part of her… it was just as much to her as a soul was to a normal human being.
And people say that mutants aren’t anything like humans.
The music stopped and Leonardo was snapped out of his trance. Aurelie said something along the lines of learning to play new music… then she asked something that he would have rather avoided. So she did know about his S.H.I.E.L.D. past… well, it was inevitable anyways, but he would have rather it come up another time… when they perhaps knew each other better. But hey, what was the harm? He could just leave out the intricate details… like how he ended up killing a whole platoon of South Asian paramilitary soldiers. Then again, that was one of the main reasons why he left.
Taking in a deep breath, Leonardo struggled to find the right words to say. After a second or two of awkward silence, he started, “Well… it’s not exactly one big reason why… but a bunch of big ones. It wasn’t S.H.I.E.L.D.’s fault… it was my handler’s. That cold-hearted b***h made me do some harsh things…” his voice trailed off as her voice still echoed in his head…“You can’t deny what you are, Leonardo! A killer! A raging beast!” Portman shouted within the midst of the rainy jungle. Leonardo was already walking away; blood soaked, jaw set, not looking back. He gingerly dropped the glistening red knife onto the ground. “And as we all know… you can’t cage the beast!”Mind snapping back to the present, Leonardo gave the shortened, censored version of the story. “I snapped, basically. I finally saw that what my handler was doing to me… she was turning me into a monster. I didn’t want to work for her anymore… or any organization that would support her. So I left. I bummed around home for awhile, and then I came here. Simple as that.” Leonardo stopped talking, knowing he had already probably said too much. It’s just that he had never really told anyone else about this before other than his sisters. And since nothing seemed to be sacred in Academy X, he wouldn’t be surprised if Bella heard the entire conversation.
He wanted to think of something to change the subject… be couldn’t find anything off the top of his head. Her past could be just as touchy as his.

Omega, Location: Kitchen/Hallway In hindsight, should have thought that through.
The meat simmered in the pan as he continued to make larger and larger portions of his rather impressive meal. He was hoping to feed at the least one of the teams, but he couldn't make any expectations. For anything, he could be have the whole Junior X-Men group joining or just a few stragglers. Either way, he was expecting to not expect much. Hell, means more leftovers for him.
As long as I can get through today, I can live with that. He thought to himself as he continued in the kitchen.
As he finished up talking to Shandra, it instantly clicked in his head that he probably should not have said it like he did. It was not exactly something she probably liked people that didn't know her well enough to be aware of. Especially with the fact that Dr. McCoy told him that with regards to this meal. He remembered it simply, his intention was to find out any particular allergies or conditions. Personally, Roland didn't want his first meal that went to a large group to not be accompanied with Epi-pens and 911 on standby. But as he said it in such a matter of factly tone, he realized that it was probably the dumbest thing he could of possibly done. She mentioned something about going for a swim, and based off her body language, she was stressed about ********, why does this have to happen? Damn you Xavier, couldn't you have just left me in that room? he thought to himself as he walked after her.
"Shandra wait, please." he called as he stepped out behind her, "I should not have put it like that, it comes across like I was snooping around in everyone's files. For that I apologize. I only asked Dr. McCoy about any conditions or allergies for this." he said pointing back to the kitchen. His eyes told his sincerity behind his apology, the way his voice stressed the word "apologize" as it escaped his throat echoed that same level of sincerity.
"I grew up in a non-existent family environment, top that off with two years of intense therapy with Xavier you don't exactly get a good combination for someone living with and dealing with people close to their age. I'm not expecting sympathy out of my little sob story, hell I barely talk about it. I get it if something like this stresses you out. I would love it if you could come tonight. However, based on my previous behavior I won't hold it against you. After all, if people knew the things I didn't want to talk about I'd feel the same way."
In this moment, he remembered something from that wonderful time he had. The happiest moments of his life were there, the times that for the most part he felt, human. He wasn't an animal, not an attack dog, not a brute that fought for money. Sonya once told him that when she looked in his eyes, she could see every emotion he was feeling at that moment. He'd heard somewhere once that the eyes were the gateway to the soul, perhaps his was wide open, the glowing within his golden orbs. She said it was the most beautiful thing about him: that she could not only hear the words of love, but see the love he felt in him. And for the first time, Roland had felt vulnerable, and for a split second the injuries he had over the years shot out in pain simultaneously. But they were put to rest with a simple kiss.
She said they were his greatest strength, now he saw them as his greatest weakness. People can see what he's feeling, which they can use to their advantage.
But right now, he decided to be vulnerable. Or at least try to, because after all teammates need to be there for each other even in their worst moments. At least, that's what he hoped.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx♪I was just trying to be myself♪Have it your way I'll meet you in hell ♪It's all these secrets that I shouldn't tell I've got to run awayxxxxxxxxxxx Team: Alphaxxx Mutation: Telekineticxxx Location: Music room, with Leo He'd been a complete gentleman as they walked, not hovering too closely, but enough that he didn't get soaked from the downpour that started crying from the skies. Not at all like what she'd have expected now of the guy who'd just spoke French to her. And she'd been incredibly too slow on the uptake there, but in her defense... the only guys she'd been around had been on the Corsairs.... and Quill had most definitely not had a thing for her.. rather, he liked the Emma clones, and Aurelie couldn't blame him. And before that, she'd been at Julliard, where she'd been so focused that only one or two boys had merited her notice. One she'd dated, and even getting that started had been a long time in making. Most of the time, she was oblivious to the fact that people found her attractive.
They'd made it to the music room without any further social anomalies on her part, and she had to wonder if she'd get better when her nerves weren't so frayed with anxiety. Had she always been like this? Note: Ask Callie later.
Leo had been a doll when she said she was rusty, stating he too hadn't played in a while. ”Four years, huh?” She asked, smiling and forgetting the awkward moments for the time being. ”That's a bit longer than my own hiatus.” Well, double the amount. And something about him just made her sure that he'd play better than she could. He turned down the duet, stating he'd probably just mess her up, and Aurelie giggled at that. “I am pretty confident in my thinking, that I'll mess myself up.”
As she played, Aurelie missed the astonishment that would have marked Leo's expression well enough that she'd have found herself blushing. Playing was so private of an experience for her right now, and the twinges of embarrassment crept to heat the back of her neck at the realization that she'd essentially shared it with a stranger. A gaping stranger at that, well... she didn't really notice the gaping part; her eyes had been closed while she reconnected with the instrument.
She'd switched the subjects once done, and a part of her instantly felt bad about prodding into Leo's motives when he took a deep breath, his features mottled slightly while he deliberated on what to say. She listened intently, azure eyes deepening into a sapphire hue as he spoke. When the pain hit his voice, there was a nagging inside of her to soothe him, though she didn't know how. “The X-men should be better.” The telekinetic murmured quietly, not knowing what else to say.
He seemed off into a distant land of times gone by, and Aurelie didn't push for him to come back, figuring that he, like her.. watched things play over so vividly it was like experiencing it all over again. When he did come back to the current times, he shared the personal history of why he'd left, and Aurelie shook her head sympathetically. Honestly, she'd not expected it to be quite so dramatic... else she wouldn't have asked.
“I don't blame you for that.” She sighed, unable to muster much in the way of comfort for the man. “I'm sorry I asked, Leonardo... I just hadn't expected it to be so traumatic. Perhaps I just figured Scott had convinced you to switch.” Considering the only time she'd seen him before was with the headmaster.. it was a logical assumption.
Aurelie closed her eyes slowly, looking for a new topic to focus on, and ended up picking the first one that came to mind. “So other than watch awkward new girls play the piano... what do you do for fun on the teams?” Admittedly, he was still green on the teams too, just not as fresh as her. “Er.. not that I assume watching me play is remotely close to fun.” After all... it was probably dry, something close to boring him to tears.
“And what's the other team like?” Scott had said one Omega could be a tad bit vicious to the Alphas if given the chance... and the fact that he'd felt the need to mention that was probably the core part of her anxiety. Her thoughts trailed to that particular part of her and Scott's conversation... “So you're switching me, from a team that's comfortable, that I'm happy with... to one that has some demon chick out to destroy anyone who wears blue?” Was Emma not around or something? Normally he didn't make decisions this outlandish unless she'd left for whatever reason.
And it hadn't gotten better after that, while he prattled on about what she could do.... why she needed the switch.. her mind had been focused on the holy terror that he'd made such a light mention of. Best to hear about it from a source... a teammate, who had been nothing but honest with her thus far.

Omega - Library - Of Headaches and Restlessness Maddy continued to mess with her hairs as the boys tossed their banter back and forth, but couldn't help feeling Raine was being a bit too straight forward. She was nice and all, but it wasn't something Maddy needed to hear. She couldn't understand how so many around the mansion were just so cavalier when she herself felt like an awkward duckling around anybody she liked... except that time at the beach. Luckily enough she couldn't remember most of that it and it didn't go to where she had hoped. Every time she broke her own rules about liking somebody it always flopped on its back, had an epileptic seizure, and died. Aren, however, responded to Raine's performance with continued questionable remarks. Madison did her best to go with the flow. Plus she knew where Beast kept the Ritalin. She wasn't going to say, though. To Aren, she said "Wait... You do know that I make my own knives, no?" Maddy waved her hand through the air, making one just for show. "Seriously, this bahstard will go through a rope in three seconds." The knife disappeared with a twitch of her eyes, which actually went to being shut for a moment. The girl had always had problems with headaches since her powers had emerged, but with all her training and Emma's help they had not been much of a problem in the past months. She had been noticing a regression with this, but couldn't bring herself to talk to Emma about it. Maddy hated the way Emma was around her. She wouldn't take the woman's training class for psychics any more. So many telepaths; so many telekinetics... and then there was her. The one who made knives from with mind. Emma hadn't even made eye contact with her the in the last week between classes. It was as if she didn't even want to see her there. "Oh, but here's a lady who would love to be tied up, I'm sure," said the girl when blond hair came into their presence. Despite issues Maddy had with Narcissa's temperament and heavy handed leadership, it was nice to see her put down the other's actions. Why was it so funny when others were being told off? Because she'd been getting an increased taste for seeing others miserable. She liked the company in that way. Still, Maddy had been ignoring the blonds threats or 'this is my team', insert scary face here stuff and just taking it in stride. It was all she really could do for now. Maddy felt herself return the wink to Narcissa. 'No, wait, she'd be the one tying them up...,' the girl thought to herself as Narcissa slid into one of the boys' lap. Her eyes lit up quickly when Narcissa's attentions were redirected at her and her grades. "Hey, hey, now don't even go there," Maddy said. "I'm pretty sure I'm still top of my class, thanks. So long as I don't end up back in hospital because Logan stabs me again in Survival, it'll stay that way." The girl found it rather insulting that her team leader even had to ask. "Oh, yeah, and speaking of the hospital and stabbings, are we going to get that Danger Room session with the n00blets today, or...?" she asked, trailing off as an eyebrow raised and three strands of hair fell in front of her eyes. Let's go downtown and talk to the modern kids. They will eat right out of your hand, using great big words that they don't understand.
