Nyx just shrugged when Blade declined. She wasn't about to explain that marketing wasn't the half of it but it was possible the sort of work they were in wouldn't be his cup of tea. Actually, she was mostly sure of it. It took a special kind of person to want to take a life and Blade didn't seem quite up to par with the personality, but hey...people could change. "No, biggie. It's not for everyone."
At Blade's exclamation over her scars she grinned. "I'm sure they're real attractive right?" Her voice was joking because she knew they weren't. What kind of person would be into that? Well, she supposed there was a select group....."But relationships are out really when you move around so much so it's not like it matters."
The stories Nyx gave seemed rather fascinating. It was hard to imagine going through so much physical abuse, though Mitsu had gone through her fair share.
"Hey Mitsu?"
"Y..yeah?" It seemed like she had zoned out a little and was brought back to attention.
"I'm just wondering, have you seen Shun lately? I noticed he really hasn't been at school lately. Is he sick or something?" Nyx knew he wasn't sick, he wasn't even at the dorms. He had taken off but she really had no idea where and she was curious if Mitsu knew anything.
Instantly Mitsu went quiet again, that devastated look back on her face. "I....I don't know where he is." She admitted. It looked like she was bordering on being upset all over again but this time she wasn't going to be able to dart off to the bathroom to hide it.
"Woah, woah, I had no idea that would be a touchy subject. Easy.." Nyx was trying to prevent the tears...she couldn't do tears.

Blade raised a brow at the relationships thing, wondering what exactly spurred that thought since it hadn't really been mentioned before. His attention turned back to Mitsu as she was asked about the whereabouts of Shun. Again a chord had been struck. It was kind of touching to see that she cared about that guy so much. He must have really done something to warrant that. It just wasn't something he would have expected.
Deciding not to elaborate on it for the wolf girl's sake, he turned towards Nyx again.
"What exactly brought you to this place in specific anyway? I wouldn't really have thought there'd be a great deal of marketing opportunities in this area."

Nyx just let it drop since it seemed it was upsetting the girl. Gladly she took hold of Blade's question but her mind really wasn't working out the details at the moment since she was worried about seeing Mitsu cry. It was frustrating though, she was going to have to double her efforts in finding Shun....unless..."You..would be surprised. My Dad works in multiple trades." So true.
"Even in the smallest of places there's always someone that's buying, selling, trading, and trying to mass produce something." Which was also true but it really didn't apply to their line of work. "He really hasn't let me know much about this job though. It seems very hush hush. The client he's working with has a tight ring of trust and he wants as few people involved as possible." Nyx shrugged, her lie rolling off her tongue pretty smoothly. "So I'm sitting on the side lines for this one which is why I got sent to school for the time being."
As the conversation steered away Mitsu remained silent staring at the table and her place setting. She seemed rather out of it now the words going in one ear and out the other. Now she was dwelling on the fact that they hadn't found Shun again and she was worried about where he was and if he was okay. He could be hurt and she was sitting here chatting ready to eat food. It made her lose what little appetite she had completely.

"I see," Blade nodded to Nyx. It sounded reasonable enough. Though it had him wondering just what this ring and deal was exactly. The thief part of him had him wondering if there was anything worth snagging if they were so close-knit and untrusting of others. Grinning lightly at the thought, he wondering if he should try to look into this at all.
Glancing towards Mitsu briefly, the grin faded as he saw her with a rather forlorn expression.
"Try not to worry too much. I'm sure he's fine..." he said quietly to try and cheer her up, "I doubt he was hurt too bad if we couldn't find him anywhere around here.."

It took a moment to realize she was being spoken too, Mitsu's head lifting slightly to look at Blade. She at least managed to catch the last part of what the thief was saying to her so it wasn't too hard to realize he was trying to reassure her about the assassin. "Yeah, I guess so."
"Hey, cheer up. I'm sure he'll pop back up and be his moody self. Well, with everyone but you." Nyx smiled. "I should probably get going. I have stuff to do." Standing from the seat she had taken Nyx took up her mug. "Hey, Mitsu. Do you want to hang out next weekend? I'll make it up to you for today, take you to a movie and buy you lunch."
"Y..yeah, okay.
"Maybe Blade would like to come too?" Nyx extended the invitation though what she had planned for later after the movie would require her to ditch Blade at some point. But she had to admit he was rather fun to talk to. Why not live it up another day before it all came to a crashing end?

The girl didn't seem all too convinced, but cheering people up was still something Blade wasn't all that great in. At least Nyx chimed in an attempt to help with the effort. He didn't quite expect the invitation to be extended to himself, however.
Blinking at that, it took him a moment to register this fact.
"Hm? Oh sure, if you wouldn't mind having me there," he said. Hopefully they wouldn't end up going to some chick flick. Those... weren't exactly his cup of tea. Most other movies were fair game, on the other hand.

"Cool, we'll work out the details at school or something. See ya," Nyx waved her goodbye as she disappeared into the crowd at the pub. Despite the shuffling of people it didn't seem like she had trouble moving about until she was suddenly gone from sight.
Giving a small wave in return Mitsu watched Nyx leave. It was about that time that their food finally came but she wasn't going to be eating. She would have to be sure to get it to go, Riyo would probably like something nice to eat for dinner if she wasn't out with Klyde.
"I'm...sorry I'm not very good company today. You've spent most of the time...trying to cheer me up." She smiled a little despite herself. "Thank you for that."

"Sounds good," nodded Blade before she disappeared. Once she was gone, he turned his attention back towards Mitsu and smiled faintly as he grabbed his fork to start eating.
"Hey, don't worry about it. You've had a pretty rough week. Besides.. it's not too often I really get company," he said. After a few bites, he noticed that she didn't look like she was going to be eating anything.
"Are.. you not hungry?"

Mitsu shook her head lightly. "No, not really. I think I'll take this back to Riyo. She might like it."
Curiously Mitsu looked back to Blade, part of his statement lingering in her mind. "Why do you not have company very often? You're really nice...I would think you would make friends really easily."

"Are you sure about that?" Blade frowned lightly before falling silent for a moment or so. His eyes averted briefly as he was feeling a little uncomfortable or uncertain again.
"It's.. kinda hard to say," he murmured, "For a long time people pushed me away so... I kinda got used to distancing myself from everyone."

"Sorry. I guess that was more personal that I meant it to be." Setting her food aside for now Mitsu looked apologetically back at Blade. "I guess I can relate. I never had friends before until this year." Nervously she began to fidget with her unopened silverware. "I got picked on a lot so I avoided people for the most part." She still got picked on but not nearly as much since she had friends to help back her up, but now there were other problems far worse than just your average bully. And it seemed like the people around her kept disappearing or getting hurt.
"But, we're kind of friends now...right?" True they hadn't gotten to know each other long but Mitsu didn't think time really matter for something like that. Time only made you a better and closer friend.

"It's alright. It's not something that'd be personal with most people I guess," he shrugged while listening to her. Bullying had been a problem for him as well, but there was more to it than just that for him. Shaking his head at the thought, Blade smiled faintly to Mitsu.
"Yeah.. I guess we are," he said. It was still sounded a little strange to be saying things like that or even realizing it.
"Look... if.. you need help with anything, just let me know ok?" he added with a hint of concern in his features.

Focusing back on Blade, Mitsu managed to smile faintly. "Okay, thank you." She probably wouldn't ask for help, at least not with the big stuff. That was a bit much to unload on someone and she really hadn't wanted to share with anyone in the first place.
When the server came back Mitsu asked for a box so she could take her food to go. That taken care of she took the receipt, pulling out her wallet so that she could pay for the meal like she promised. "How was your food?"

Blade was about to try and pay for the bill, but Mitsu had beaten him to the punch. He almost forgot about her offer earlier. Settling back down, he smiled and nodded to her.
"It was pretty good. Definitely filling," he said with a light chuckle. The thief let out a small breath as he looked around the restaurant once more. He'd have to drop by again here sometime in the future.
"By the way... sorry that we didn't end up finding anything," he said in a more serious tone.

Mitsu's face fell a little bit as Blade brought up earlier. "It's...okay. There really wasn't much we could do. We tried our best. I guess....Shun just doesn't want to be found....by anyone." It was a little disheartening to think so but Mitsu didn't want to wallow in self pity. Bent-tail was apparently just as much in the dark and they had been friends for a long time.
Pulling out her cell phone Mitsu looked at the cheap devise for a moment. She had tried calling and had gotten no answer....would he answer a text? She hadn't thought about trying that before but maybe it would work? Calling him almost gave her the same fear that it did when she called her brother. For the first few months she tried calling him everyday and just recently the number no longer existed. Mitsu had hoped it was a mistake but as she continued to try the number continuously came up as disconnected. Would Shun suddenly vanish so completely without a line to him at all?
After a moment of hesitation Mitsu typed out a short message. 'Are you okay? Please let me know.' Staring at that message for a few more seconds Mitsu finally hit send hoping it would reach Shun and that he would answer.
Putting her phone away Mitsu looked back at Blade once again. "Are you ready to go?"
