 Miyuki came rushing into the dorm as usual, throwing her bags, including the dress, onto her bed. She untied her ponytail and mumbled. Her breaths were short, angry, and created ice crystals with every exhale. "Stupid dress, stupid phone, stupi-" She stopped in mid-word when she noticed a boy sitting in the dorm.
She blinked several times, her mind blank. Then the gears began to turn, but in the wrong direction. She put her hand over her mouth. A robber? A theif? A stalker! A pervert?! She stood still, staring at the boy reading a book. Wait. She thought. Is he..? "Are you.. Sean Earhart..? My other dorm mate?" She kept recurring on this possibility, but she also wondered why it took him so long to get here.

Sean jumps as a random girl storms into his dorm. He takes the time she is complaining about something to set his book down by his bag and turns to her with a smile, "Yes, hi." He sticks out his hand for her to shake and places his other hand on the back of his neck, "And you are?" he asks with a small, nervous chuckle.

Miyuki relaxed a bit when he said he was her dorm mate, but then she instantly became weary. Being shy and all, she hesitated. She then took his hand and shook it briefly. "I'm Miyuki. Half-mage, half-human." She let go and rubbed her arm. She thought for a moment. Wait a minute. Does that mean I'm sharing the dorm with two boys..? She froze, then shook her head. "Well, um, your specialty is...?"

 Sean Earhart Sean immediately notices how shy the girl is acting and grins. "I can control fire or...well...anything involving it." he replies, lifting his hand up and watches as he produces a small flame from the palm of his hand. He looks up at Miyuki and smiles warmly, "It's a pretty nifty talent."

Miyuki stepped back as Sean conjured up a flame. She gulped and forced herself not to tremble. She kept her voice level, but barely. She didn't want to be rude. "Yeah..! That's cool." She stood still staring at the fire. "Our other dorm mate can control fires too.." Both dorm mates can control fire.. that's... problematic.

Sean Earhart Sean quirks a brow at Miyuki's reaction to the flame and closes his around it, instantly putting it out. "Really? That's awesome. I can't wait to meet him." he says, his excitement very obvious. Sean then looks around the room and shakes his head, not seeing what he was looking for, "Is there anything to eat?" he asks Miyuki, a somewhat anxious look appearing on his face.

Miyuki relaxed when Sean put out the fire. She's just about had enough of them. "Um, no, but I can make you something. I guess."

Sean Earhart Sean chuckles at her offer "Don't worry about it. I'll just go to a diner or something. Still need to explore the town and all" he says, turning away from Miyuki to put his book into his bag and get his wallet out of the bag.

Miyuki nodded. "Okay, I guess. But, it's really late right now. You should do that tomorrow.." Another thought struck her. "Hey, it's already been five days into the school year. Where were you?" She asked, curious.

Sean Earhart Sean sits on the couch and looks up at Miyuki. "Hrm. You're probably right. I'll just snack on some crackers I brought with." he says with a sigh. Sean then shoves one hand in his pocket and puts the other hand behind his neck, "I would have been here earlier but I..uh...had some family troubles. I'd rather not talk about it." he mumbles, looking away from her.

Miyuki was disheartened a little when Sean said "family troubles." It wasn't like she could sympathize him. No. She had empathy. "Oh, okay." She didn't really know what to say.
A silence began to dawn on them. But before it could have lasted more than seven seconds, Miyuki broke it. "Oh, dear, no! You can't just have crackers." She opened the door and stepped out. "You just settle in while I make a sandwich for you in the cafeteria." And before Sean could protest, she shut the door and went off. And not only for a sandwich.

Sean Earhart Sean opens his mouth to stop Miyuki but she is already out the door. With a sigh, Sean walks over to his bags and rummages around in one of them, pulling out some paper and sitting on the couch. As he sits and waits for Miyuki to come back, he begins burning the paper, trying not to fall asleep.

 Akira went into the dorm, yawning. He noticed a boy burning paper there. So he's the new roommate Miyuki told him about. He sat down on his bed and looked at him. "Hello", he said.

Miyuki came back into the dorm and closed the door behind her. She saw that Akira has already started talking with Sean, so she put the sandwich next to Sean and sat on her own bed.
Two fire users.. She thought. And they're guys. She sat there, watching the two make talk.

Sean Earhart Being so concentrated on burning the paper, Sean didn't notice the boy walk into the room. When he said something, Sean jumped. "Um...hi. You are?" he asked. He nodded and smiled at Miyuki when she set the sandwich down.
