 Show Me How To Lie....
Leading the way to what was probably one of the nicer restaurants in the city, he stops to pull the door open for his date. "After you." sweeping an arm to gesture her inside, he follows shortly after. A quick exchange with the hostess, it seems he had thought ahead; despite the many people waiting to be seated, they were lead immediately to a booth by a window. Waiting patiently for Sky to sit first, he leaves the menu where the hostess had placed it. He had obviously made reservations, though this was mostly at his friend's urging. Apparently, the redhead had gotten too rusty to make his own date plans anymore, and he'd never thought he'd see the day when Pyry knew better. "I was hoping you'd enjoy steak. I had always wanted to try this place."

Sky was a little surprised when they walked into a high-end restaurant like this. It was one of those things that you would bring really date over a study date to. The young woman wasn't going to complain. She loved this type of food. She too had never been to this place. "I've never been here too. My family usually didn't on the grill. I'm kind of excited to try." She said as she sat down.

Show Me How To Lie....
Looking pleased as she admitted she was excited to eat here, he leaned back in his seat. Flipping the menu open to the first page, he scans it quickly. Glancing up, he smiles at her again. "Go ahead and order what you like. Tonight, everything is on me." which was how dates usually went, but he didn't suspect Sky knew that. Despite it's odd nature, this was probably one of the nicest places he had ever been on a date. It wasn't too surprising, he supposed, now that he had a good job with a far better paycheck than he had ever had before. He could afford this type of place now, at least once in a while.

Sky opened her own menu. She wondered what would be the best item. She skipped over the salad and sandwich. She found her eyes looking at a steak dish with potatoes, salad, and baked beans. That was probably the manliest thing on the menu. "I found the prefect item." She declared with a smile. It was also a lot of food too.

Show Me How To Lie....
While he too had found the menu item she had settled on, he quickly discarded it; he didn't like baked beans, or that cut of steak. He looked up at the sound of her voice, his charming smile returning at her announcement. "Excellent. I believe I've found something myself." as he said this, a waitress appeared at the table side. She introduced herself politely, pen poised and ready for there orders. "I'll take the steak and shrimp with a baked potato." he paused long enough to close his menu and offer it to the waitress. "And a Dr. Pepper." despite his taste for wine, he figured it would be best not to drink in front of one of his students. Both Adney and the waitress turned to Sky, waiting patiently for her order.

Sky looked at the waitress. At least this one wasn't like those preppy ones that reminded her of her siblings. "I'll have a coke and a steak with a baked potato, salad with ranch dressing, and baked beans." The girl told the waitress. She was probably more manly with her food then Adney.

Show Me How To Lie....
While the waitress raised a brow at the meal ordered by the young lady, she wrote down the meal and moved off to put them in. When she was gone, Adney turned to smile back at Skyler. "Well you're certainly a big eater." he commented, looking more amused than anything else. He'd never gone on a date with a girl who had eaten so much, and it was sort of a nice change. It didn't at all bother him, the 'manly' aspect of food. He simply ate what he felt like eating, never bothering to pay attention to how it might make him look.

Skylar didn't bother to care what other people thought. She was one of those people who had to deal with a lot and just gave up on people in the end. "I work out a lot and I need to keep up my energy. Sword classes take probably the most out of me." She answered the drama teacher. She also studied other subjects, but those types of subjects were the ones she studied the most.

Nodding in acceptance of this explanation, he remained politely interested as she spoke. "Swords? That's pretty cool." he smiled, pausing a moment at the sound of approaching footsteps. The waitress came and went with their drinks, and the redhead thanked her politely. Turning back to his date, he leans away from the table and crosses his legs. "My little brother has a small obsession with them. What style do you practice?" he knew only that his brother practiced a Japanese-style, but knowing him, he'd pull any move he thought would make him look coolest.

It seemed that Adney knew at least a little about swords. It was as guess how much he really knew about them. the girl took a sip of her drink right away like everyone does when they get a drink. "I practice with two types of swords. A broadsword and a rapier." The rapier was probably the heaviest one handed sword. She was surprised he even asked about that question.

Knowing very little about Western style swords, his brother didn't pay much attention to them so Adney never heard about them, he simply nodded again. "A rapier? Like Zorro?" he asks, looking amused. He remembered an animated TV show about Zorro from when he was a kid, and was fairly certain that was what he used. "My brother uses Japanese style swords. I couldn't tell you the names of all of them." he admits, shrugging lightly. He had asked because it was something she was obviously interested in, and so he was curious about it.

Sky knew what he was talking about and what the answer to all his questions were. "Yes. Zorro has a rapier. They are about three pounds in weight so they are pretty heavy for a one handed sword." She answered Adney about the sword. "I'm have Baku and Sandman. A Baku is basically a Japanese sandman. You're brother probably carries around a katana. Is he into anime too?" The teenager asked. She wondered if his brother was so type of weird Otaku.

The teacher listened carefully, grinning at his successful pinning of Zorro's sword. He paused a moment at her question, thinking about it. As if sensing her suspicion, he eventually shrugged. "I have no idea, but I suppose it's possible. He lived in Little Tokyo in California for a while, which is where he picked up swords. Apparently, the guy he roomed with was looking for a roommate and the rent split was cheaper than anywhere else." he explained, shrugging. "And if you live somewhere so rich in culture, why not try to pick up a few things?" it had made sense to him, and he'd thought nothing of it until now.

Skylar nodded. It made sense to her to pick up a few things depending on where you lived. He may have become an otaku by habits of his roommate while living in L.A. "You have a point there. I've lived in Capital City my whole life so all I've been exposed to was the the monster culture. Your brother is probably more diverse then I am." The sandman commented to her study date.

Considering her statement a moment, he eventually shrugged again. "We grew up in New York. Not the city, mind you, but we did end up there after a few... things happened, and we ended up with our crazy abilities. We didn't know a thing about monster culture until my roommate and I were invited to teach here." he stopped there, not going into detail about anything. "But I wouldn't say he's diverse so much as he likes anything so long as it's interesting." he informed the other, smirking in what could only be amusement.
