Raya crossed her arms, "I'm interested to see what you'v got in mind." She spun her finger around in the air, "Start it up."

"I'll watch you. I want to see what you've got. I like knowing who I'm working with." Victoria decided not to tell Raya that she knew she had a baby brother, kept an emergency 50 dollars in the heel of her left shoe, and that she had a strange fear of file folders- papercuts or something. Victoria attached the suction cups to her forehead and plugged the USB cable into the hard drive. She focused on a memory- the most difficult combat exercise against her father she'd ever had... Suddenly they were in a field. Victoria stood next to her father, who stared down at Raya, waiting. An electronic voice sounded: "Objective: Defeat Sam Penn. Subject: Sumaki, Raya. Controller: Penn, Victoria. Begin." Victoria's father immediately jabbed at Raya. "You're weak today," he grunted.

Raya threw her hand up and guarded the jab, "What the hell?" She danced back from the man, then took a defensive Aikido stance, "Combat then? Let's go."

"Clumsy, clumsy," Sam Penn said mockingly, shaking his head. "Come on, Vic! The only other time you're this sluggish is getting out of bed." He feinted left and kicked in the stance's weak spot. Victoria was confused. Why was her virtual father mistaking Raya for her? Oh, right, she remembered. He was a matter hologram. Yet Victoria watched in amazement as her own form flickered over Raya's.

Raya twisted awkwardly, that was not a good spot to be kicked. The man's foot grazed her leg and she winced. She took a step back, then quickly grabbed Sam's foot, using his own momentum to throw him off balance. She jumped back, then frowned at the strange sensation that ran through her. It was as if her stealth suit had.... shifted. Strange.

Sam Penn's image chuckled as Raya (cloaked in Victoria's appearance) jumped back. "What's wrong, Vic? Cold feet?" He punched at her chest.

Raya dodged left, grabbing his arm and jerking him forward. She aimed a hard kick towards his stomach, then bent her leg at the last second to knee him.

Victoria watched the scene in slow motion. It was exactly the kind of kick she would try. But she was not playing as herself, she was playing as her father. Victoria had forgotten a crucial detail: The memory drive was controlled by her feelings. So when she felt a strong wave and anger, Sam Penn leaned backward and kicked Raya in the stomach hard, actually tearing the fabric.

Raya gasped in pain. She fell to the ground and clutched her stomach, feeling the tear. She scowled, "Oh, now I'm pissed. You ripped my suit." She rolled away and popped up into a crouch. "Screw fighting fair." She drew her pistol, which was still loaded with sleeping darts, and shot the man twice, once in each shoulder.

Victoria watched in shock. Her father's hologram sank to the ground, and Victoria's appearance around Raya vanished. Silently, Victoria brushed the motherboard with her fingertips and murmured, "Terminate program." The room faded until all that was visible was the glowing latticework of circuitry on the walls.

Raya looked down and examined the hole, "Aww. This was my favorite one." She pouted a bit, then looked up at Victoria, "Hey, Vic. Your dad's a douchebag." She grinned, "But he's a heck of a fighter."

Victoria frowned. What was she, a master-spy-in-training, doing socializing with the rabble? "My father is one of the best spies in the world," she hissed. "And don't call me Vic!" She ran off to her dorm.

Raya watched the girl leave, "Eh, a bit touchy, are we?" She went into the locker room and took off her suit, putting on a pair of jeans and a black tank top. She carried her suit into an adjacent room in the Stealth Ops building and laid it on a table. She grabbed a pair of goggles off the wall and began to repair her suit.

Kinosei spun on his heel and walked backwards, watching the strange girl. Who makes sure pilots get enough to eat and to sleep anyways? Definitely not her job, and he's now wondering now why she even cares. He shook his head. It's never good to doubt another's kindness, and anyways, it was too much of an effort to be thinking so much. Facing forward once more, he studied at the mess the mecha was. If he couldn't salvage the software, then he'd had to start dissembling the hardware to recycle as spare parts. Something, he really hoped would not be happening. Climbing the ladder to the pilot's seat, he was now face to face with the blood and little flesh left of the last user. He froze and stared at the mess with a look of disgust and horror. "Just clean this up." He said brusquely, not meaning to be rude. Hurrying back down, he decided that he'd rather fix some obvious problems before even starting with the technology.

t h e C a r d M a s t e r Despite her obvious intrigue with the state of the mecha being covered in chunks of human and blood, Kinosei hopped in to the seat. Winching at the sound of the squelch her eyes remained on the metal all throughout his retreat. It didnt take too long to remove the chunks, inside and out, and the blood was going to be easy enough. Collecting the bucket filled with the approved cleaning chemicals, she also grabbed up a large bag which she proceeded to rip open. Climbing back up with the items in tow, Az put the bag overthe seat and cleaned the inside as best as she could so he could get to work. "Kinosei, it's alright for you to work on the inside now. It's probably best to replace the chair at this point. I'm kinda feelin' pizza for dinner. Sound alright to you?l Azrael was aware that she seemed a little odd but she didn't care. She'd been plenty of places and seen plenty of people die from exhaustion coupled with malnutrition. She promised herself that she would prevent it as much as possible: warfront and homefront alike. As she worked, her earbuds found their way back into her ears and she was now humming along. The fact that she kept music so soft was her way of training her ears to the most acute a human can get. But it also allowed for her to hear if someone called out for her even if she was in the middle of something.
