~~*~~ ~~*~~ Wynn whistled happily as she packed up the supplies for Killy, familiarizing herself with the stock and placing her favourite items on top, so she could easily steal more if she wanted. She worked quickly, thoroughly, with an astounding vigour in her step that hadn't been there before. She was excited. Giddy. And wanted to get out there and have some fun.
"Cart's packed," Wynn told Killy after she finished, talking so quickly her words were almost stumbling over one another to trip from her tongue. "I-just-remembered-that-I-have-something-important-to-do-I'll-catch-you-guys-later-ok?" She gave him a hug, her face breaking out into an ecstatically happy grin as she did so, and she turned and fled, not looking back as she sprinted away. The Dragonite's pokeball practically flew to her hand, and she tossed it far ahead as she continued to run, and fairly leapt onto the pokemon. "Fire gym, ho!" she told the beast, her giggles finally spilling over now that she was safely out of earshot of Killy and Silver, and the Dragonite rushed into the air. The tracking device she'd planted on Killy wasn't necessary by any means, but it still made her happy to have it, just in case. She could marry that man for all the help he was providing her.
"Well, maybe I'll just kill him quickly. Not marry him. That's a slow and torturous death for anyone," she said aloud, and giggled to herself.
---
The fire gym wasn't as far away from Killy's shop as she would have liked, but hopefully they'd be moving on soon enough, before it was destroyed. It didn't matter to her too much, she could always pretend to be Kerri and was overtaken by a Nightwalker agent. It was so convenient, having the body of a good guy. She threw Roland's lava lamp onto the already impressive mess on his bedroom floor, adding a blue and yellow pool to the broken shards of his favourite, most precious, and most private things. Suddenly struck by a thought, she started running around the upper floor of the gym, the part where Roland lived, barreling abound heedless of the extra destruction she wrecked, until she found his sledge hammer.
"STOP," she shrieked, pausing for a moment to enjoy the ringing silence after her words. "Hammer time!" She swung the hammer into the kitchen counter, sending a spray of beautiful granite flying from its former home. Glass exploded in a shower of shimmering shards beneath her hammer swings, the walls crumbled, and all was rubble. Her laughter didn't cease, even after she sat to wait for the dust of her destruction to settle. Finally, as the last speck of dust fell, she became silent. Wynn stood, and quietly placed bombs in strategic places about the entirety of the structure. She'd seen the blueprints, so was well aware of its weak points. Still with that unnatural silence, she walked out of the gym, and set off the bombs behind her.
Unlike many characters in movies, she turned to look at the explosion she'd created behind her. It made her weep with beauty, the power she felt from knowing she'd created such wonderful havoc. Wynn fell to her knees, hardly registering the sharp pieces of rock digging into her knees, so great was her elation. Finally, when her eyes ached from staying open so long, she closed them, taking a deep breath and enjoying the scent. She couldn't breathe properly, her joy felt like it was choking her.
And she needed more. Her hand flew to her Xransceiver, almost involuntarily. It was time to call up an old friend. ***

Caring is thinking with your heart "Run! Where is he? I don't see him!" A man shouted, running through the alleyways of Castelia City. He constantly checked behind him, looking for his stalker, only to no avail. He only saw his wife, a woman aged around 50 years old, with a pink sweater and a greenish-brown skirt, following behind him.
"Jeffrey, maybe he stopped following us!" She said, panting between each word.
"No! He's still out there Gloria! I know it!" Jeffrey replied. He was wearing a grey suit with a red bowtie, and a grey bowler hat. "Come on, this way!" Jeffrey turned a corner, and Gloria followed.
"Where is he? Show yourself, damn you!" Jeffrey thought as he continued running down the alley. Before he knew it, he and his wife had run into a foggy area.
"Lord. This isn't good." Gloria said. She clamped tightly to Jeffrey's right arm. They couldn't see anything. The fog was too thick. Before Jeffrey could reply, an earsplitting noise penetrated the fog.
"What is that?" Jeffrey screamed, trying to overcome to loud buzz. The couple looked all around, trying to find the source of the noise. But it was no use. There was just endless fog. The buzzing continued for a few seconds, before coming to a dead stop. Jeffrey's ears picked up a smaller sound, that was repetitive. Almost like footsteps. That's when Jeffrey realized they were footsteps.
Out of the fog appeared a handsome young man, in his late teen years. He had pitch black hair that covered his ears and forehead, and wore a long, grey coat.
"Thought you could run forever, huh? Well, I've got you now. Did you honestly think you two could get away?" He said, slowly approaching the old couple.
"Jeffrey." Gloria quietly whispered, tightening her grip on his forearm.
"What do you want from us?" Jeffrey shouted, trying not to sound scared, but both Gloria and the mysterious man knew he was.
"I don't want anything from you. I'm just simply doing my job." The man said, and with that, he snapped his fingers, and slicing through the fog came an agile, red Pokemon with two claws on it's hands. It moved at lightning speed. Before Jeffrey could say anything, the red Pokemon had its right claw gripped around his throat and swiftly clipped Jeffrey's head from his body.
"No!" Gloria cried, tears falling from her eyes as she felt Jeffrey's decapitated body fall to the ground.
"Scizor." The man motioned, and Gloria soon met the same fate as her husband. "Excellent work as always." He said, calling the Pokemon back to its Dusk Ball. He walked over to the headless bodies, and rummaged through Gloria's purse, and Jeffrey's pockets. After looting what money he had, he pulled out his Xtransceiver from his pocket and made a quick call.
"It's me. They're both dead." He said into the speaker.
"Ah! Excellent job! Your money will be here waiting for you." said the person on the other end.
"Good." he replied, hanging up. Before he could return the small device to his pocket, it began to ring. "Oh for the love of." He commented as he answered it. "Hello? Ah, if it isn't my good old friend Kerri. Why are you calling me? I see. I shall be there as soon as I can." He hung up the Xtransceiver and put it in his pocket, and proceeded to walk out of the alleyway, towards the docks. Think hard.

"Thanks Kerri! Any time you need to resupply just find me eh?" Eklyx said with a smile as he hugged his friend, 'Okay, well we'll be heading off soon, safe trip aye!" he chuckled as he waved to her as she ran and flew off; he was totally unaware of the monster he set loose into the city.
Pulling his truck around to hook his cart onto it, Eklyx was jarred by the sound and vibrations of a large explosion "WHAT THE HELL?!" he shouted as he stuck his head out the window to see a large plume of black smoke rolling from the area of the Fire Gym, ".....s**t" Killy exclaimed as he grabbed his Poketch from his belt and called up Roland, "Dude...BIG explosion....At the Fire Gym."

"Hooooooow MUCH is that Snaaaaaaappy in the windoooow?.....The one with the waggly tail!" were the cold quotations of Lord Verin that continuously echoed through Snappy's mind. It had been over two years ago that he had first heard those words, and they still haunt him to this day. It drew in the need for him to look down at his fur covered body to remind himself what they were spoken for. Snappy was sitting on a shaded rooftop unnoticed by the people in the well populated area. He raised his claws toward his face for inspection, almost as a newborn child who is discovering his limbs for the first time would do. I've become a monster... No more a man, than I am a mutt... and yet, with this state of being, I feel content. These few years of scratching and sniffing around have taught me how to live peacefully. Peace is not a time without war, and murder, it's when we finally learn to deal with it, and settle for how little the value of one's life really is. In this life, it's survival of the fittest, and the one who can live triumphantly, deserve to be allowed that opportunity of life, while the scum who are weak, and unable to fend for themselves; they deserve to rot alongside the corpses of those who died before them. Fate turned its hand on me, that I should be given power; the power needed to carry out what it takes to gain my own needs. Likewise, fate has smiled on me in another way, that all I really need to obtain in order to suffice the nagging rage, and discomfort that life brings, is blood, which is so abundantly supplied with every kill I make... But the PWF still lives, and I intend to make them pay for that injustice. For their hypocritical disrespect, they lost my trust, and I will not comfortably rest until I have their hearts mangled on the end of my claws. Snappy caught himself in the middle of a small growl, which interrupted his flow of thoughts. It was unfortunate for him that the Nightwalkers had failed in their past attempt to even control the PWF, much less take over the world as was promised by their Lord.. He had enjoyed his time in their service, and it gave him more of a motivation, and tactic for gaining what he hoped to accomplish. Time had passed, and the former gang of Nighwalkers was now no more than just a disbanded group of freaks, and a plagued memory. Snappy had become a lone wolf, randomly roaming the land in search of clues to help in the extermination of the PWF with the aid of his best friend Ebony, the Mightyena who had originally helped put him in his current state of being under the possession of Verin's evil power. Ebony was not close by at the this time, but was out making mischief among the people of the town as she always liked to do, so Snappy had plenty of room to reflect on things. From the distance Snappy began to hear an unnatural rush of wind, as if something were flying through the air with a sudden urgency, and he could smell that it was a Pokemon, but it did not seem unusual. He couldn't see it from this distance, anyway. Plenty of young trainers tend to flock to this town in order to face its water gym, so he payed it no mind, shrugging it off with the thought in mind that it was just some other impatient trainer. After all, nothing has been going on around this town for someone to have a desire to come in its aid. He began to smile letting all of his teeth show, even though it was presented to no one. Weeeellllll, I've gotten a little hungry up here. I think it's time I go grab a meal!" he thought with a vicious intent. Snappy took a leap off of the back of the building and slid down the side using his claws to tear through the wall and slow the velocity of his fall before hitting the ground where he swiftly darted into the shadows of a few secluded trees. Near by he could see a miniature lake with clear waters. There was a small family swimming around, splashing each other, throwing a beach ball, and generally just having a good time. Snappy scoped the area for prey, until he finally had found a suitable target. There was a young woman tanning on the sidelines, away from the rest of the group. She was minding her own business, reading an article in a Pokefashion magazine. Now, how can I get to her without making a big scene? He began to whimper, and whelp quietly like an injured pup as a means to get her attention. "Hmm? What's that?" She looked back to see in the direction from whence the noise came. The tree shook, and she saw a tail flailing around, suggesting the Pokemon might have been in pain. "Oh no! you poor thing!" The girl gets up softly off of her tanning bed, and hurriedly makes her way over to the tree. "Hey, are you ok?" Instantly, a quick hand reached around from behind the tree gripping her mouth to muffle any screams she made while it simultaneously raised her into the air. "Oh yes, I'm fine, thank you!" Snappy smiled his usual toothy grin. "You're quite a catch, aren't you?" he said, as he let out a chuckling growl towards his own sadistic pun. He began to sniff around her body, giving no attention to personal boundaries. The swimmer uncomfortably struggled, and swung her arms in an attempt to free herself, but her efforts were futile. "Woah now, I give you no reason to be scared, girl! You reek of fear, when you needn't worry. I'm going to make this quick, just for you, ok?" He gave her an innocent wink. "Just remember this to your death, my beauty... This is a reason you do not try to protect the WEAK!" he hissed sharply as he thrusts the female against the tree that hid them...
"Huh?...Hey, where did Mom go?" a small child called out to his company while looking at the empty tanning bed. Confused, their father began to look around the area. Shortly after beginning his search, he noticed a spot of smeared blood over a battered, and scratched tree. Alarmed, he ran up to investigate further, but nothing else remained behind it, save the tattered fabric of his beloved woman's swimwear. He collapsed to the ground, managing nothing but tears.

Roland looked around the city of the water gym. Now that he was here, he had absolutely no clue what he should be doing. "Well, this is where Kerri said the next attack should be... but so far, I see nothing out of the ordinary," Roland said aloud to the others. After a couple minutes, Roland's Xtransciever went off, and he saw Killy's name flash across his holographic eyepiece. Reaching up to his ear to tap the button to accept the call, he simply said "Talk to me."
"Dude...BIG explosion....At the Fire Gym."
Roland went silent and hung up. Suddenly, he became aware of everything. His heartbeat, his breathing. The rate of which he was blinking. The seven pokeballs strapped to his belt, and the pistol strapped to his hip. The dagger strapped to his leg. The last two, he had made a point to grab briefely before everyone had showed up. Remnants of his past, from the days where he did not use pokemon. His days as a mercenary.
quite a few years ago, there was once a time where Roland stored his pokemon away. Left with a good friend, he left to pursue a different world: The world of a mercenary. It was during this time as a mercenary that he met Kerri, as well as other friends like Lin, Pisces, and even Arc. Some were allies, some were foes, yet all of them were very good friends somehow.
Suddenly, Roland shook his head and snapped back to reality. Silently, he grabbed a pokeball from his belt and flung it, releasing the Charizard he had just recalled not moments before he got the call. Suddenly, he growled loudly to everyone "We're at the wrong place!" before mounting Din and flying off back towards his gym. He didn't care if the other's followed right now. All he cared about was his gym and Kerri's safety.
Finally, he arrived at the wreckage of his gym. After dismounting Din, all Roland could do was stare at the rubble silently and blankly. Not thinking. Not moving. Nothing.

“If what you really want is to be free from your fears… Raiu quickly looked up at Rol when he saw that his X-Transceiver rang. He heard a few faint words. Big... egg...? Raiu made the voice to be of Killy's. Rol put down the X-Transceiver and had an alarmed look on his face.
"Wha... What's wrong? Was that Killy? What happened?"
Rol yelled out that they were in the wrong place. Raiu couldn't handle it anymore. If Killy was gone, he didn't have any family left... Almost.
"Whatever it is, we have to get to Killy!"
Raiu jumped onto Flygon's back and told it to hurry over back to Killy. Flygon sensed Raiu's sense of alarm and sped off after Rol.
Instead of flying to Killy, they reached the Fire Gym. Or, what was left of the Fire Gym. Raiu's eyes widened. This couldn't be happening.
"Again... It's going to happen again... And it's going to be much more violent than last time." Always balance good and evil. …then strengthen your soul!”

Taking a sip of tea, Samantha overlooked the island that was home to PWF from the the back of her rather large Ariados, Figgy. So this was the place Rishi had called home. It wasn't much, well at least not to Sam. She preferred...well whatever she preferred wasn't this. What did Rishi see in this place. She talked highly enough of it two years ago, before the rise of the Nightwalkers. Samantha released a heavily sigh. She missed her older sister-now two years dead. Her death, to Sam's eyes, was all the PWF's fault. If only Rishi hadn't been a spy for them. If only her sister hadn't been too soft. Samantha only took sides when something interested her-or suited her goals-otherwise, she rather stay in the background and watch. This time, well, she wanted revenge and the only way to get it was to join the Nightwalkers. Not that she actually joined. She hadn't even met a Nightwalker but she knew of one. Verin. Rishi had mentioned him once. The problem was, Samantha had no idea how to find him or even what he looked like. "I guess we just have to find someone who does or a Nightwalker," she informed Figgy, taking another sip of her tea. Her face twisted in disgust. The tea had gone cold. With a flick of her wrist, Sam flung the tea from her cup onto the ground. "I guess tea time is over, Figgy. Let's go find someone, anyone, in this dreadful place," she sighed and patted the Ariados's back, signaling it to move. The bug Pokemon moved with practiced grace, careful not to dislodge his trainer from his back. She was in luck. It didn't take the teen long to spot a man in a truck. As Samantha was about to shout out to the man-which was odd for her, she didn't like talking to people she didn't know but she was desperate-when the ground shook. It was the after math of an explosion, she was sure. She had played with explosives enough to know. She gripped her Ariados, hoping not to fall off. "Seems like there's party going on without us."When it calmed, Samantha patted her Ariados to soothe him and refocused her attention on the man. Hew was talking to someone, through a poketch or gear or something. When he finished, Sam cleared her throat and called out. "Excuse me. Perhaps you can help us?" She urge her Ariados forward, hoping the man heard her.

Killy hung up his Poketch as Rol did; watching the smoke billow from, what he assumed was just the ruins of the Fire Gym, a thought hit his mind like a ton of bricks, "....Kerri?....No she wouldn't, heh crazy talk at a crazy time...Still this is bad....bad bad bad bad bad...' he said to himself as he saw his friends bolt past over head, "Alright time to head out, everyone on bo...huh?" Killy turned to see who was speaking to him, it was a girl, looked to be in her teens, something was familiar about her, but Eklyx couldn't place his finger on it, "Hey! Normally I've love to stay and chat and help; and if you wanna hop in I can answer whatever questions I can; but right now I gotta get to what's left of the Fire Gym" Killy exclaimed to the new girl as his Scrafty opened the passenger door for her.

Shadow jumped off of Flygon's back before she landed, "Damn..." he watched as some of the flames raged, he pulled out another Cherish Ball and tossed it "Samurott!" with a big flash Samurott appeared. "Ok Samurott, use Water Gun to put out those flames!" Samurott roared then let out a forever lasting stream of water on to the flames. Soon the the flames began to sizzle and extinguish, soon all there was smoke an charred ruins "So this is the first step then." Shadow stood near the ruins with Samurott and Flygon next to him.

A stranger offering her to get into a vehicle with him. Samantha was sure she had been told before never to get into a car-or truck in this case-with a stranger if they offered you candy. As this fellow was clearing not offering candy, she figured that going with him would be alright. As daintily as possible, she hopped off her Ariados. "Time for a rest, Figgy," she said as she returned the spider pokemon to its ball. She took an extra second to straighten her skirt before proceeding to the open door. Despite her short legs, her pace was fast-although, it was no were near a run, or jog for that matter. There was no way in Giratina's Distortion World she was going to run. A rare smile flashed across her face as Samantha nodded a thanks-also rare-to the Scrafty. She'd found the fighting/dark type oddly cute. Her mind focused on the last words he had spoken. Fire gym? A PWFer then. I should wring his little- No, too hasty. There's a chance he isn't but that's highly doubtful. I should just try to get some information before I do anything. She tilted her head to the side in a curious gesture, her face blank, as if nothing in the world interested her. This expression was the norm for her. "The fire gym? I thought gym leaders were suppose to be strong and that anything happening to them-or the gyms-was impossible."

~>Shadow<~ A few minuets have passed, Shadow thought he better not stay around for some people may get they wrong idea when they show up. "Samurott, Flygon, return" he pulled out the two Cherish Balls then pointed them at the two Pokemon, returning into the ball by the red beam. Shadow looked at the ruined gym and then turned around and started walking down the road, he was tired of flying around and most likely Flygon was as well. "The NWK are targeting Gyms already, they must know that they're not strong enough to hit the league, yet alone the PWF Headquarters. Unless they're planning something different."Shadow walked along the road thinking, and then at times enjoying the wild Pokemon roaming the trees on each side of the road. "Look at them, carefree enjoying every aspect of life, not knowing what the NWK have in store for them" he thought to himself then while in train of thought he noticed a vehicle starting to leave town in the distance. "Must be somebody going to check out the gym." I was one of them Now I gotta stop them

Killy did a double check to make sure everyone was loaded in the back, and returned Maganda to her Pokeball before starting his truck up and pulling away from his old shop with his new passenger sitting in the seat next to him; he still couldn't place his finger on it, but there was something about her that reminded him of an old friend.
"Yeah...not sure what's going on, Verin attacked the city earlier...hundreds dead...and I still can't bring myself to hate him...or any of the Nightwalkers....Anyway...Yeah there was an explosion at the Gym, I'm heading there to find out what's up; be it an accident or attack..." he said as he drove down the barren streets of the once bustling city towards the smoke, "Oh jeeze where are my manners? Name's Eklyx, friends call me Killy though; you said you needed some help? What can I help with?" he said as he glanced at the girl with a friendly smile before turning his attention back to the road.
