As Shun expected he got no answers but the large cat was quick to move away when the assassin struck out at them again. The fur on the top of their paw seemed to be parted, a light scratch covering the area Shun had managed to swipe. It was minor but it seemed Shun was getting closer and closer to being able to land an actual blow.

Coming back around just as quickly as they had moved away the leopard snapped at Shun's leg, trying to sink its teeth into the flesh of his calf. It was at risk of getting hit, but at the moment it was worth it if it managed to slow the assassin down at all.

It was a little disappointing that the shifter hadn't been able to hang on but it was still satisfying to taste the blood on their lips. The shifter kept keen eyes on the assassin as they stepped back from the attack but they were still unable to avoid the throwing blade when the assassin threw it out. Quick as a flash the blade landed in the creature's forearm on the left side, the large cat letting out a roar of pain and anger. It was then that the creature shifted back into a human, fully clothes as they had been before.

The shifter was left in a crouching position being so close to the floor, but they were quick to get to their feet, reaching for the blade now lodged in their arm. Pulling the knife free the stranger decided to return the favor by lobbing the blade back at Shun aiming for his already injured leg. It seemed determination was going to keep them going.

The shifter tilted their torso to the side to avoid being hit by the throwing blade as it flew by. So they were going to play it that way, were they? That was fine, it gave them a bit of distance to work with.

Reaching behind their back and just under the back of their jacket, the shifter produced what looked like two throwing blades. It wasn't until they spread the blades apparent that it was apparent there was more than two. Thin blades, one on top of the other, they couldn't be very strong but for what they were intended for they didn't have to be. It looked like there were six in total but it was hard to say because just as soon as the shifter had spaced them out they drew them back and flung them toward the assassin, each blade with a different target.

Seeing Shun suddenly vanish the shifter took a step back but it only gave them so much room as Shun appeared where he had been before. Drawing up their arm with the bladed gauntlet, they blocked the one dagger, reflecting the attack out to the side. The other dagger, however, cut through the material of their jacket again and through the flesh of their side.

Quickly the shifter reached down for the blade currently inflicting wounds, their grasped aimed for the hilt, though really they were only concerned with touching the item in general. If successful Shun would notice his dagger begin to glow slightly before shifting into something else and something a little less useful.

Unfortunately for Shun he had already started moving so the shifter knew where his attack was intended before the darkness over took the area. Even though the shifter couldn't see they were still able to bring up the knife gauntlet to block the dagger as it came toward them and quickly threw in an attack of their own, bringing up their bare fist to throw a punch in the direction they remembered seeing Shun's head. In the darkness it was hard to tell but considering their range of attack and where Shun's dagger had hit it shouldn't be too far off.

Feeling the attack only slightly graze their target, the shifter knew the next attack wasn't far off and it would be difficult to block not being able to see. The light that would normally had emanated from their person during a transformation was swallowed up in the darkness but their form shifted all the same. In place of their normal body was that of a small bat. It didn't seem like they were well versed in the ways of flight because the creature struggled there for a moment too long and the dagger Shun had sliced through the thin membrane of their wing.

Letting out a high pitched screech the bat managed to fly off a ways before it crash landed on top of a high stack of crates. Immediately turning back into their human form it was easy to tell the underside of the shifter's left arm was wounded but it didn't look like they were going to pay it much mind as they grabbed for some chain laying across the boxes. The transmutation they used was a simple one that didn't require a lot of energy considering they made a simple chain into a chain whip with a spiked tip on the end. The weapon was long enough to give them some distance and cover multiple angles.

Once their weapon was complete they stood their ground waiting for Shun to make his move. Allow him to do the work, though they did start to shift the chain back and forth ready to strike where they needed.

The shifter had no idea what Shun was going to do, though they had a vague idea when the extra bubbles of darkness sprang up out of no where. Shifting into a more prepared stance their gaze shifted between the three bubbles waiting for something to happen. It wasn't long after that a blade came flying at them from the black bubble by the door. Spinning the whip they were able to knock the blade away, deflecting it to the side. They were just starting to slow their spinning when a thud resounded through the air.

The second blade Shun had thrown hit the shifter's helmet, the blade lodging partially into the thick material. If the helmet hadn't been so strong that would have likely been a fatal blow. In fact the shifter could feel the tip of the blade piercing the skin of their forehead, a small line of blood dripping down their face, unseen by those looking.

Reaching up the shifter dislodged the blade from their helmet and threw it aside quickly. Turning toward Shun it looked like he was struggling though they weren't far behind. While they were still able to stand fairly well all the magic use was wearing them down. This needed to end quickly which is why they made a very sudden and rash decision. Leaping from the crates toward Shun, the shifter whipped the chain around to wrap around the assassin's neck. If the chain happened to miss they would attack head on landing right on the assassin.

The shifter seemed to miss being about to land on Shun and knock him back. In fact, the assassin seemed intent on pulling the shifter off balance. Landing on the balls of their feet the shifter pulled against the chain to pull it tight, though Shun pulling back still managed to shift the stranger forward to keep their balance. Not to mention their strength to hold onto the chain tightly was greatly compromised by the various wounds on their arm.

Trying to tug on the chain again, the shifter brought up a leg to aim a kick at Shun's mid section. They didn't have much energy for anything else. Their magic use was at its limit. Fighting much longer was out as well. If this couldn't be ended soon this fight was going to need to be postponed.
