Rikku stood up looking worried. She put her hand in her pocket and then pulled out some money and lay it on the table. Then without a word walked off to her room and shut the door.

Taiko looked at the money as he spoke to his friend, "Hey dude... It's time for you to pay me back the favor you owe me..." Then he picked up the money and walked to Rikku's bedroom door, and put the money in front of the floor on the ground. Then he walked away and kept talking on the phone.

Rikku just shrugged and looked away leaving the money lying there on the floor. She felt a little hurt that she couldn't help pay for what she did to the dog..she couldn't understand why Taiko wouldn't let her but she kept that to herself. She felt bad for the dog it was only protecting its master just as Rikku was....

Taiko put his cell phone on the table and sighed. So frustrating... then he noticed the money was still on the ground. He rolled his eyes and picked it up and shoved it in his pocket. Then he went into Rikku's room without asking and patted her head. "I don't like to make someone pay if they were not the one at fault. I should have made the kids when they threw the first stone. I'm sorry Rikku... but I don't want you to be mad at me or think I'm mad at you... ok?" His face was sad as he spoke, and he petted Rikku's head.

Rikku gave Taiko a a hug then she sat up again..."I know the dog was gonna attack me and it was just protecting its master...and i am part wolf which is basically a dog so i feel for the dog.....its hard i just wished there was something i could do...its like at the time i didn't have full control of my self....a part of me wanted to just kill the dog right then....."

Taiko hugged her too, smiling lightly and said, "Don't worry, it's natural... Even with us humans... we lose control of ourselves sometimes. And besides, how can you learn to control yourself without messing up sometimes? Then you woulnd't know what is the wrong thing to do. And it's ok... you should feel happy the dog is dying the way it is... it died fighting for its master. Isn't that a very honorable way to die?" Then he lightly kissed Rikku's head and said, "I know I wouldn't mind dying that way... if I were fighting to protect you and Xion... I'd happily die to protect my cute and sweet pets~"

Taiko laughed and said, "Yeah, I have a cheezy positive speech for everything" He hugged her and said, "Man, I love my two sweet pets so much~ If you or Xion ever want anything, just let me know, 'kay?"
