"When you've had to live the way I have, when you are hunted by almost ever species, you have a reason to kill and make armor out of anything you want!" This was one of those times where He lost his temper after keeping calm for so long. "You have no right to judge me by my armor lass, as I do by the color of your scales!" He gripped the hilt of the sword rather tightly Heat rose from his body rather quickly and the tattoos that covered his body began to glow. "Soddus better show his face and make these spells stronger before I snap her neck." He muttered to himself and then looked around, trying to ignore the sassy lil girl.

Rex heard what keto said and stepped in front of sora in a sorta defensively way "you can try,but you will have to try and take me down first" Rex said with his eyes glowing and radiating energy

Having felt no one of worth at the tavern/inn, the wandering stranger-yet-not-stranger made his way over to the arena which he had so many fond memories. Of the fights, of those who sought to prove themselves his better and fail miserably, of the training he did there among other things. He approaced the place, letting his aura reach out with enough power to cause curiosity as to who he might be...leaving a hint of power still further concealed...but not so much as to make him an instant threat. He coasted through the doorway and into the foyer of the place, looking around and letting some of the memories come back to him of times when he used to visit this place...well, not just the arena but the point is obvious...and how he was going to enjoy coming by more often. First things first though. He needed to see if there were any matches going on right now or if he was alone for now.

Looking this way and that, the wanderer was drawn to the sounds of an on-going battle taking place in one of the many sub-areas of the arena and that was where he meandered to in order to see who was fighting and who was watching.

Upon entering the sub-arena's spectator seating, he took notice of those who were fighting and shrugged his shoulders. Decent fighters, yes, but sadly lacking in any real experience. Their fight held no finesse to him, but it was something at least. True, he might be sounding arrogant and aloft, but it comes from having been around as long as he has and fighting for as long as he has. He then took a seat far enough away from the others before looking at them and again shrugging his shoulders. No one he knew, and no one who was worth fighting. At least, not right now. The wanderer then returned his attention back to the fight at hand and waited to see who would win.

"No," Sora's voice was softer, colder, than before. "You are not hunted for your hide, your spikes, your teeth, your scales, your claws, your abilities or your heart. However, we do not seek to attack and kill those races who discriminate against us. You clearly cannot control yourself, or your powers, thus it is no wonder that you feel the need to kill those around you."
Sora knew she was being unfair about his self control, but, really! He was not in danger of being turned into a poorly regarded, small piece of armour. He wouldn't know.
Once she heard what Rex had said, she smiled slightly. "I thank you for the gesture, young elf, but I would not like for your life to be on the line for me.

((But, Angel . . . You haven't actually mentioned anything that's happened recently >w<))

Having left after the fight ended pretty much how he expected it to, the wanderer had returned to see if there was anything at least mildly entertaining going on this time. And lo and behold...no, there was not. Just some petty squabble over what someone was wearing and apparently how they came be wearing what they were wearing. A senseless arguement that would most likely heat up both sides...and from the looks of it, already was. While normally he was not one to get himself involved in others' business, this was a bit much for him since he did not care to have petty squabbles. It only demeaned those who were partaking in them. Entering the sub-arena that everyone seemed to be gathering in, the wanderer let his presence be known by a sudden flare up of power that just as quickly died down but had lasted long enough to let everyone know that he was here. That someone with an immense, ungodly amount of power was now here and would not be ignored. Shaking his head as he leaned against the archway, the wandered spoke.

"Tsk, tsk...such petty squabbling. It does no one any good. This only proves how juvenile, how naieve you really are. People are who they are and most of the time there is nothing you can do to change them. And using what has happened to your kind as an excuse to justify your anger only proves your own weakness in controlling yourself. Here, I have a proposition for you..."

Turning to the one named Sora, the wanderer pushed his body away from the archway before starting to walk towards her. The click...clack of his boots echoed in the accousitcs of the arena before they suddenly stopped. Not just because the wanderer himself stopped, but because he was no longer in front of them. He was sitting above them, looking down at them with a roguish smile on his face, one that was meant to be harmless on the outside...yet deadly underneath. Turning his one visible eye to the one named Sora, the wanderer inclined his head before speaking again.

"Sora, is it? I believe I've yet to meet you. Although, since I doubt you know who I am, then it really doesn't matter if you know me or not. My proposition is this. I'm bored, you're aggrevated and no doubt in need of blowing off some steam. I offer you a friendly challenge so that you might release some of that frustration without straining relations here. Will you accept?"

The wanderer looked down at her with his legs dangling over the edge of a wall, that rougish smile on his face. He waited for her response.

[[I know that. It was just meant to give me context to work with. And I tend to reply slowly, so please be patient.]]

((Okay~))

Sora shrugged at Rex's statement. "The probability is high, yes."
When another being made itself known, she turned to watch it with mild interest. "It is not who he is that concerns me, it is the 'armour' he so boldly wears. Would you be pleased if one had slain your kind, before defiling their body and taking their skin? I find it hard not to take offence, quite frankly . . . If I showed weakness in controlling myself, you would be frozen to death by now," Sora added, as though it was an afterthought.
Her head snapped up when, suddenly, the one who had spoken was above her. "I would prefer to know the name of the one I am to fight, if you please."

The wanderer chuckled gently before leaning forward and letting himself fall foward into a tuck as he slipped off the ledge he was sitting on. Halfway down into his fall, the wanderer vanished. Yes, vanished. One blink, he was there. The next, nothing. The following blink would find him standing a few meters in front of Sora. He gave her a once-over, not just to simply appraise her on her feminimity but more to the point of assessing her potential and what she might be capable of. It was a quick one, so he was not truly impressed, but she may prove herself later in the fight, should she accept his offer. He gave her a gentleman's bow before straightening and speaking to her.

"My apologies. I have a name, yes, but you can call me Tsuurugi Joutei for now. Give me a reasone to tell you my real name and I'll be happy to let you know. For now though, I do apologize if my comments were given to offence, but I say in my own defense that my kind were never hunted because most are simply just too fearful of us to attempt fighting one of us. And those that did never lived. Simple as that. And I would not go so far as to assume that if you lost control you'd freeze me. While I cannot say I know what you're capable of, neither can the same be said of you knowing my capabilities. That, my dear Sora, if the first mistake down a path of self-deluded confidence...one that I have tread more times than I care to remember and paid dearly for it. Enough of this though. I await you in the arena."

With that said, Tsuurugi gave her a gentle bow before stepping to turn away and make his way into the arena by descending the steps. No movements so fast it was impossible to "see" them, if not outright sense them. Yes, he could move that fast if he wanted to, but even he could not completely vanish from all senses...normal or otherwise...if his opponent was as powerful as himself or heaven forbid, stronger than him. True, he knew of a few who could move so fast that no matter how power their opponent might be, they were unable to be tracked and thus used that to toy with their opponents before killing them mercilessly. However, he had met those few only a couple times and since then, nothing. He lived for fighting and always strove to perfect or learn something new. And it was rare he found someone strong enough to take him on if he decided to be serious...but it wasn't like no one was out there who was capable of such. He had just yet to meet someone that good, at least on their own merit.

Reaching the outer edge of the massive ring, Tsuurugi kept walking until he was standing in the middle of the ring before turning to face Sora and wait for her to either join him or refuse. While she had never truly answered him, from the way she sounded Tsuurugi assumed she was going to fight him. His casual attitude was not only how he normally acted but it also served the purpose of letting others think he was unguarded and vulnerable. Should Sora attack him before properly entering the ring or something similar, she would find a rude awakening waiting for her. He gave her a kind smile, waiting patiently.

[[And just to let you know, my avatar is what he's wearing. I don't have a good picture of him yet, but I'm looking for one.]]

((Eep! She's going to lose D:
And then, she'll be annoyed because her pride will be wounded . . .
And what species is Tsuurugi? (God, you guys have such long names D: )
I couldn't find his profile . . .))

"Very well, Tsuurugi," Sora responded, eyes fixed on her opponent as he left her, headed for the middle of the arena. She waited until he was firmly planted in the centre of the place, before she proceeded. She followed the same path that he had, mentally running over the various fighting specialists she had encountered, and their teachings.
She figured she'd be alright for the fight, but, as Tsuurugi had stated, she could not know what her opponent was capable of. It gave her a bit of concern, actually - she was used to knowing everything, twenty four-seven. She didn't like this feeling of uncertainty. It put her off her game, in a way, and she needed to be focused if she wished to beat Tsuurugi.
Upon reaching the arena, she stopped a few metres away from her opponent. "However, I do have a question. Am I permitted to transform into my true form? Or am I bound to this one?" Sora asked.

(( azzy you sob. I even waited for you.))

Adamaeis stood there silently while all of this played out, once the stranger came into play Adamaeis decided that it was time to get back to the warmth of the tavern. He sighed softly noting Keto's presence with a rough smile, he would of stayed and watched the match but something told him that the stranger was merciless something that Sora was not. He was a different kind of being, and he trusted the wards of this castle to keep her alive. Passing Keto, adamaeis began to walk towards the doors he came through, as he passed he invited the giant to a drink.

"I could use a drink, you know where I will be Giant." Adamaeis said as he dissappeared through the large wooden doors.

The half giant grunted as he watched the lass and the stranger go to the middle of the arena. When Adamaeis's words registered he nodded in return and followed.

Tsuurugi cocked his head to the side, wondering why she would ask such a question at all. Why would he limit her? Was this not a fight to see how strong she was? This was also to see if he was rusty and in need of improvement or if his old level of skill was still adequate amongst today's generation of fighters. Shrugging his shoulders and straightening back up, Tsuurugi spoke to her before he decided to get ready. In order to answer her question of course.

"I would never dream of limiting my opponent in their capability to fight. You are free to do as you wish, but know that if you do choose to transform, I too will go all out and make sure to use my utmost ability to ensure that you are bleeding and broken. Not dead, mind you, since this place should have enough warding to prevent that. However, if the power behind the sigils that guard this place fail...I can bring you back from the dead as if you'd never fought. Consider that to be but a small portion of what I'm capable of. Now, shall we begin?"

With that, Tsuurugi turned around and proceeded to walk away from her with his back facing her. This was not as a gesture of disrespect but rather a test of her honor as a fighter to see if she would attack him while he was facing away from her. Or if she would hold on to the warrior's code of honor and wait for her opponent to ready himself. He would understand if she attacked him now while he was supposedly not ready, but that did not mean he would have to like it. Yet, nothing is every fair in war or any sort of fight for that matter. However, it would seem that he would have a chance, and he managed to get the required distance away from Sora before turning back around to face her one more time. Dropping into a Iai-stance (or quick-draw), Tsuurugi then looked up at her before smilling and speaking one last time.

"Good luck, Sora. May we both learn from this battle."

And with that, Tsuurugi launched the first attack of the mock battle. A draw of his sword so fast that it drew a sickle-blade of air from the tip of his sword and launched it towards Sora. The speed and power evident in the way it plowed through the ground, leaving a trench in its wake as it raced towards her. An attack that normally was un-seen and practically...but not impossible...unblockable, Tsuurugi did this in order to see her reaction to but one of his techniques. He wondered how this was going to progress.

[[Tsuurugi is my character from the original thread of Haven. There were no profiles there, but I can create one for you if you'd like me to. As for what he is, he's an Ancient. One of the First of the Creators. In a sense, a God born of the Creators of the Gods. Like what Zeus was to Chronos and Gaea. If that is too much, I can change him a bit, but I have built this guy up from scatch for 2 years. I'll just use a different character if that bothers you too much.]]

((FFF-
Sora's dead.
Nah, you can keep him ^^))

Once she heard what Tsuurugi, Sora nodded. "I see . . ." When Tsuurugi had turned his back, the dragon tilted her head slightly. This would be . . . an uncomfortable fight, if bringing one back from the realms of the dead was merely a small feat.
She let her body shimmer for a moment or two, before the medium sized, pale blue dragon that was her true form appeared in her place. In this form, she could not talk - she wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad one.
Her head snapped up as she heard him talk, and then she saw something moving towards her along the ground - fast. She shot up into the air, strong wings flapping as she eyed her opponent cautiously. If her senses were not that of a dragon, she would have been dead by now - and that was only his first move!
Opening her jaws, Sora sent a streaming jet of ice at Tsuurugi, intending to freeze him to the core.
