Who the Jack were these goons? With a frown, Jericho watched them from his perch up in the tree, as they spoke of a few mysterious things. However, his eyes soon widened as he saw them disintegrate Collete without a whole lot of effort. Once that shock had worn off, a low growl emitted from deep within his throat.
Jumping down from the tree, he spread his wings to dive right for the stranger to knock him upside the head. He barely managed a grazing blow, but he wasn't done here yet.

As Amrita bolted, Christof glanced after her, his face white (in patches), "W-wait! Where are you going, Mith??" He managed in a hoarse whisper before dropping his work to run after her. The sudden bright light took him off guard, but the sight of the sudden new figures was indeed unexpected. They didn't.... LOOK like professors...? Then that meant they had to be intruders. Nostrils flaring, he gave a grunt as he hefted a rock, preparing to throw-
unfortunately in his haste, it didn't go very far, but his heart was in it and that's what counted.

If there was anytime in Belladonna's life that she would use drama, now would be the time. It wasn't just one thing that her hoop-skirt was caught helplessly in the underbrush, and it wasn't that mysterious figures were infiltrating their school and attacking them. Well, ok those were big concerns too. Mostly it was the fact that Colette was now gone.
And she had done nothing wrong.
"YOU BIG PILE OF ROTTING IDIOCY!!" The witch screamed, fighting her hardest against the underbrush that seemed to be fighting her. Every fiber wanted her to jump up and charge that horrible, dreadful thing that had made her friend disappear, but she could only helplessly try to untangle herself first and it wasn't look good. Blind rage got the best of her and she grabbed a nearby twig and threw it at the figure, of course doing absolutely nothing.
She was going to try very hard not to cry.
After smacking the ground angrily once, Belladonna turned to the backward limbed girl trying to help. "Thanks for the help... Sorry I yelled." Trying to keep herself from bursting into introductions during the middle of a battle, she instead turned and also worked her fingers into trying to get it out. "Pull hard once and I should be out!"

One minute a ghoul was there with the rest of the group, and the next minute she was gone. And there was a voice growling at them, confidant that he/she/it was going to "beat them out of existence. Rosc didn't like the sound of that at all, and there was no getting out of this situation but by going forward.
And forward was through whomever was attacking them.
He didn't have time to look for some sort of weapon, though there were plenty of sticks he could choose from, and he was no good at throwing things. He didn't have time to test their weights or strength. And much as he hated fighting hand-to-hand rather than with some sort of weapon between him and his opponent, he didn't have any other choice. So, following in the suit of some of his class, he charged the figure, claws slashing out as he dodged past their opponent.
Much to his efforts, he came just short of striking.

Who were these people? Alcyone finally spotted the other large group of students and she saw Colette dissipate into thin air. That was... unexpected. She was too far away to do anything and it all just happened so fast. "Be careful Aedan!"
Alcyone decided to attack the strange people and she managed to do 4 damage using her demon claws. There was no way that she was going to sit around while they were being attacked. The whole getting attacked was becoming routine for her and she kind of expected something like this. They were wandering around on a usually out of bounds area. Though, who were these people and why were they attacking them? They definitely didn't seem like students or teachers so why were they so close to campus.

Oh no! Belladonna was stuck! Luckily Amrita came to her rescue before Junko had even registered this in her tired mind, turning her head to Yaya when she felt the demoness cup her face and kiss her forehead. She closed her eyes and smiled, leaning into her very comfy friend. Hiding? Why were they hiding? Was somethi--oh, right. Red. Where was Red? Did she find anyone? "I tried drugging Her wiiith belladonna to, you know, calm Her and maybe even put her to sleep? Well...it worked!" Even Junko's hair was hanging loose and still like normal hair. She was out cold. "I did not account for it making me sleepy, too." She sighed, turning to Belladonna to check on her in time to see Collette...disappear. That woke up Junko just a bit, her eyes widened and clinging to Yaya tightly. What just happened?!
Junko wasn't in any state to fight, instead she tried to defend herself, throwing her arms over her head and ducking into the bush. If she didn't move maybe they wouldn't see her!

Israfel was once more just out and about, trying to practice his vocals. This far out the idea of running into anyone was far flung, but lo and behold, his classmates were here. Earwings drooped as he saw a few of them. Jack, how was he supposed to practice now? He couldn't! Not with so many people around and...fighting? Wait what? Concerned and curious, Israfel got closer only to start screaming in fear. A fight. A fight. Oh Jack a fight. What was going on?
In his freaking out, Israfel did the only thing he could think of.
Throw his pet toterror at the assailant.

"I'm less concerned about the screaming and more concerned about the bathing part..." Alessa told him, although she seemed to be teasing. She did give him an odd look, though, because it was at moments like this Ren and Gabe's friendship often was a little...odd. She supposed it wasn't a bad sort of odd, but it did make her wonder sometimes what in Jack's name they were thinking. When Ren kissed the side of her head she gave a small sigh, but smiled, "Alright, I'll take your word for it. For now."
She stopped when Ren did, looking at the group of other students. What was going on? She let her boilfriend lead her along until they reached the others, but found it more difficult to see when they got close due to her height. She stood on her tip toes, craning to see. "What's going on?" She whispered. She thought she saw a familiar staff member at first, but then there was some talk, which she couldn't hear very well with all the noises around her, though these figures she didn't recognize.
And suddenly the group of students began to move, and she watched in a short pang of terror as the students began to attack. She didn't even really know what was going on. Trying to defend herself, she ducked behind a nearby tree, tugging at Ren in the hopes that he'd follow. "Oh Jack, oh Jack, oh Jack..."

Sepheran had wandered away slightly trying to find a nice bush to hide in. When he did he heard something that caught his attention shifting his body towards the source, something was wrong...really wrong. "Liannan..." Sepheran whispered the snake on his shoulders coming to attention as he started moving back towards the sudden increase of noise near the students.
The basilisk boy was surprised to suddenly find the group attacking something...what the heck was that anyway? Hissing Sepheran uncurled his hands feeling his sharp nails. He couldn't possibly use poison, especially with so many people around, he couldn't risk it if he missed and hit the wrong target, but they were still sharp enough to do damage to the attacker. Shifting forward Sepheran moved to join the fight.

Things were moving too fast. The group of students were pushing towards the forest, voices scattering throughout the forest, footsteps and shouts echoing and mingling with one another. Ren caught a glimpse of familiar red hair - LW was moving among the rest, caught in the confused, flustered, and frightened students.
"Hey!" he shouted above the din, keeping one hand clenched around Alessa's while holding the other up into the air, waving frantically. "LW! LW, over he - "
Ren's yell was abruptly interrupted when his attention diverted towards a dark haired girl. Colette, in a flash of smoke and cries, had disappeared. Just...vanished.
"That's, uh," said Ren, glancing at Alessa. "Not good."
His ghoulfriend looked worried, a flash of fear crossing her face as she tugged him towards the forest, ducking behind a tree. Ren's arms slipped automatically around her waist in an attempt to keep her close; the last thing he wanted was for Alessa to disappear. His eyes scanned the crowd, looking, searching, until -
"LW!"
Ren's hand shot out, fingers closing around the she-wolf's wrist. He jerked her towards him, moving to stand in front of her. With a grunt, he shook his free hand out, fingers extending until they lengthened into thick, taloned paws. It was a partial shift into gryphon form, with only his hand affected, but it would do for now. His other arm still wrapped securely around Alessa's waist, Ren lashed out. His attack missed, unfortunately, but he backstepped quickly, moving into a protective stance in front of LW and Alessa.
"Hang tight, girls," he said, growling lightly.

Oh what the hell? Now there was some guy who had apparently KIDNAPPED a faculty member? And he was here to stall them or something while his partner caused some other trouble?
Greeeaaaattt.
At least fighting was somewhat familiar, from the damn "field trip" to Christmas Town. Growling, the lightning dragon charged toward this new enemy and aimed a punch at his face. He ended up sort of missing and hitting the man's shoulder instead, but some damage was still done.

Oh wondrous, now there was an actual opponent, and someone who seemed to be a bit more prepared for the situation than any of the gathered students were...and they'd already caused one of their throng to vanish. Colette, wasn't it? Ah grand. Wincing, shielding his eyes with his claw, he felt Yaya ready her attack from behind him. Not that it did all that much good. Frowning, he looked to her to make sure that she was all right. "Well...looks like we're on an adventure..." He muttered.
He was really starting to hate adventures.
With a growl, he darted forward, spines extending, to take a slash at their rather self-assured opponent. Disturb his school? Pah, he'd at least make an attempt to put a dent in the fellow. And whilst it didn't do a great deal, the nergal boil at least landed the blow. "A mere scratch..." He complained, backpedaling to remain at the ebon-haired ghoul's side.

Following behind Alcyone, Aedan was as confused as anyone when the pair seemed to appear out've nowhere, and even more so when Colette disappeared from sight. Looking around, he saw a good-sized rock...and given that his fear was about useless in battle, opted for that. Lifting it, he threw it at the mysterious figure.
A direct hit! He allowed himself a small, satisfied smirk.

Malodore had left Luce in its room this time... it was not going to accidentally drag her Candlejack-knew-where and risk damaging her again. Never! Instead, the plague doctor had crept out quietly to the shed, following the sounds of the other students, lurking in the background... just in case this was going to be trouble again.
It had almost decided to go back when trouble showed up. Caught off-guard, Malodore only had time to act on instinct, flinging a single scalpel in the direction of their mysterious antagonist.

Honestly, Gabrian was going to have to stop being so curious. It never lead him to anything good; his general curiosity had taken him to Christmas town and the World of twelve, neither trip which he had enjoyed at all, really. As such, when he'd noticed voiced and commotion near the forbidden forest when he'd been out walking his Wishing Secret, he'd... been more than slightly against the general idea of figuring out what was causing the chaos. Alas, in the end, his curiosity had won out and he trudged over towards the forest (which he'd promised himself never to approach again unless under dire circumstances - these were not dire circumstances though).
By the time the nix had realized this had been a horrible, horrible idea on a whole, it was way too late. He watched from the shadows as Collette vanished from sight, his mouth opening and closing several times as he clung to his pet. The figure had... done something though, seeing as how when he tried to turn around and sneak away, it was much too late; he found there was simply no way back out of the forest, and he hissed in frustration, giving a nearby tree a kick, "Jack damnit, not AGAIN!"
Finally taking a moment to survey the group of students now that he'd given off his position in his frustration, he noticed several students which he knew: there was Alcye, Junko and a few others he recognized from class. It was Alessa's voice that instantly caught his attention though; where she was, the wolf and the gryphon were sure to be near. He crouched down, picked up a stone from the floor and aimed it at the figure; unfortunately... well, the pet he was carrying in his arms made a loud noise and took that moment to try and hide himself inside his cloak, clearly unhappy with the situation. It made his aim fail. Severely. And the stone fell short.
"Oh, geez, it's Christmas all over again!" he made his way swiftly to join Ren, taking just a moment to reach out with a hand to grab LW's arm, "You wouldn't know what in Jack's name is going on here, would you? I can't even go out on a stroll withou- should I even be asking what you three are doing out here together?"
