His eyes!
Famine?! Hunts?! Pacts?! Life?! Quests?!
WHAT?!
Ike was growing increasingly confused by the second. It took him a moment to realize that he hadn't been breathing. He exhaled slowly, painfully, in an attempt to stay hidden.
I have to tell everyone else. Something's wrong here!

Jabir was about to hiss another reply but he was increasingly getting tired of it. They had that same discussion years ago

He took some deep breaths to regain calm, his double hearth beating clearly for those with sharper ears
"Are you going to stay this time? Or will you keep travelling around aimlessly like always?"

Birvan agreed silently on that. Jabir hadn't changed his opinion one bit

Actually he had other reasons to stay, but he knew Jabir wouldn't agree on them in the first place

Birvan was staying...that was a good thing...but he didn't like the fighting. His idols...fighting with each other?! That wasn't supposed to happen.
He sighed before he could catch himself.

Jabir caught the sound coming from the other side of the door like a whiplash
In one swift movement he caught the door knob with the end of his tail and opened it completely. But he applied too much strenght in the movement, so the door flew out of its frame and was smashed against one of the walls
He only looked to the mess he had done for a split second, turning his head towards Ike with an agressive movement of his neck. He was still feeling rather furious from the previous talk

Ike dropped to all fours and crouched low to the floor instinctively. His ears folded back and his tail began swishing slowly. He peered off to the side, to the stairs, before looking back to Jabir.
"I'msorryMumwantsmebackinmyroomIgottagobye," he rambled before turning and streaking off like a frightened squirrel.

Birvan was caugth completely offguard by Jabir's sudden reaction and even more by the squirrel Mishap standing in the corridor. By the looks of his face it was obvious he had heared the conversation
"Ike, wait!!!" he dashed after him, leaving Jabir to deal with the mess he created

Ike suddenly stopped running and curled up, throwing his arms up to cover his head. He slid a foot or two until he came to a halt.
He unfolded his arms and opened his eyes, blinking Birvan into focus.
"I'm sorry. I'm really, really sorry...it's just...I...I wanted to..."
What had he wanted?

It took Birvan little time to catch up. He was faster (or perhaps lighter) than he looked
"Hey, it's ok! Being curious is not a crime... but it can get you into serious trouble. Did you heard everything?"

Ike nodded slowly.
Birvan had told him to take risks, had he not? To cause mischief?
Of course, this wasn't exactly anything he'd been wanting to get involved in, as confusing as it still was to him.

Birvan pondered for a while on what to do. This conversation was staff meant, but then again the Mishaps had all the right to know what was going on. Although it wasn't wise for them to deal with such information until they were older
He decided to explain things to Ike. If the information was going to leak might as well not cause rumors and controversy
"And what do you think about it?"
