Always lived my life, up to it's fullest. I've never had the chance to look back Just being myself, just being me, not trying to be what I lack. Caiden Alexander Fourth year Gryffindor Being approached by a first year, Caiden looked down to the young Gryffindor with a smile. He didn't say a word, and motioned her to sit at his table. "Of course. I don't know anyone here, so, why not?" She was young, but she was harmless. Of course he could work with her. He smiled and began to take out a notebook with parchment in it. He took a few notes on what he believed about Divination, and then put his notebook away. He had never been in a class about predicting the future. Hopefully, it wouldn't be so bad.

Amelia Frances Joan
Amelia looked down at her small pale hands. "Well, they're clean, that's the best preparation I have." she smiled, showing them off. Knowing nothing about Palmistry except from "Lord Arthur Saville's Crime" by Wilde, she wasn't exactly holding her breath for it to be accurate. Still, she figured it'd be fun. Pretending was what made childhood its best, and pretending they could tell the future would be wonderful. She pulled out her own book, shifting through the pages for the right section. Whispering to Ginelle, she questioned, "Do you know the difference between chiromency and palmistry?" Finding the section to be labeled the latter, she wondered if Wilde hadn't made up the term himself.

'You might belong in Gryffindor, Where dwell the brave at heart, Their daring, nerve, and chivalry Set Gryffindors apart;' Ginelle Ginny Alaine DeLuccia . Thinking . . Speaking . . Action .
Ginelle looked through the textbook, coming across what Amelia was talking about. She hadn't ever even heard of Chiromency before, let alone know anything about it. She sighed thinking about it. She skimmed through the chapter on it, and said "It looks to me like it's about the same thing..." Ginelle didn't have any clue. She flipped to the hand diagrams, and without asking Amelia, started to study her hand as well, noting any similarities she could find.

Amelia herself was looking through the book and she had to agree with her friend. It seemed to be the same. "Maybe it's an old fashion word. I read it in a story." She explained, going to the graphics Ginelle was reading over. Suddenly, after all her attempts to not taking this seriously she noticed something quite wrong with her tiny hands. She was missing half a heart line! What did that mean? Wait...when she closed her hand it connected to the curve on the top. But only on one hand! What did that mean? Determinedly, she marked the page of the chapter and closed the book. "I'm waiting for the teacher." She thought back to the story. There was no belief to this. No belief at all.

Blaine smiled at Caiden hesitantly as she sat down and set her bag by her feet. She was glad he hadn't laughed at her, like so many had done before. She nervously fiddled with the tips of her hair as she waited for the professor to continue.

Devon entered the room with a calm expression on his face. He walked up to the professor and said politely. "Good day, professor. I'm Devon Flare, and I've just transferred here."

Amelia couldn't help feeling anxious. No matter how many times she told herself this was a hoax, she couldn't believe it. Muggles grouped empaths with psychics. If her empathic abilities were true, as she finally accepted, the who was she to say predicting the future was impossible? Glancing down at her broken heart line. She opened her book once more, rereading the description of the palm lines. Ironic the heart line dealt with emotions. Almost too ironic for it to seem purely random. She started chewing on her lip nervously, wishing the teacher would get started and alleviate her fears.
