Yuugi smiled, "It's someone else!" He grinned, "What's your name? Mine's Yuugi. Aren't you cold? Why don't you come inside?" He let go of Jou's middle and backed away so they could come in.
"Don't let out all the warm air." He scolded mildly, teasingly almost.
"I don't want to be frozen out."

Ryou looked at Yuugi as he talked to him. This boy sure was happy wasn't he? And that deffinantly wasn't a bad thing. Then he heard Jou say something about two kittens. His cheeks turned red and he looked away. Was he calling him a kitten? Night meowed happily and lept from Ryou's shoulder, taking the open door with pleasure. The small black cat trotted in, tail still lashing.
"My name is Ryou..." he said softly and smiled politely to the smaller boy. Still not letting go of Jou's hand he walked inside, eyes instantly taking in the dirty appearence, being so used to a nice, almost too clean house.

Jou laughed again at Yuugi's enthusiasm, following Ryou and Night into the squat. "Oh yeah, since there's just so much warm air goin' around," he joked. It did feel great though to be indoors again. His skin felt like it could have been made of pure ice.
"If it gets any colder, I'm settin' myself on fire," he muttered, rubbing vigerously at his arms with his one free hand. The other was still warmly grasping Ryou's.

"Now that would be something to see. I'll let you borrow my lighter Jou." Bakura snickered as he got up and stood behind Yugi. "I think you got something of mine shorty." And with that he grabbed the cigaretter back. "I'll eat the soup once I'm done with my cig if it'll make you happy."
The sound of a cat meowing got his attention and he looked over to see a boy that looked as if he could be his younger brother. "Oh wonderful, now I got a copy. Beats another Yami though, I would hang my damn self if that ever happened."

"Bakura!" Jou grinned again. Well, this night was certainly full of surprises, now wasn't it? "Welcome back! And I just might take ya' up on that offer, so don't lose that thing."
"Oh... yeah! Heh, I was wonderin' if you guys were related. I guess not. Kinda cool though how we keep gettin' all these look-alikes in one place." He looked back at Ryou, wondering how he was coping. Not everyone adjusted to the squats right away.

Ryou's eyes remained on a pile of trash, somewhat disgusted. Night on the other hand was already making himself comfortable on a torn couch. He wished he could be as care free as the cat. When he heard yet another person come up his brown eyes moved from the trash to the other.
"You!" he gasped before covering his mouth with his free hand. It was who everyone was scared of, the one that made people pass him by quickly. He let go of his mouth and bowed his head in embarassment. Night got up again and began to examine Bakura with interest, probably wondering what another of his owner was doing there.

He nodded at Jou in hello. "If I did have any family left I wouldn't have ended up in the damn home, so there no way he's family."
Bakura looked at his look-alike with a slight scowl. "What about me? I don't think I've ever seen you before, I think I remember seeing you." He felt a small tag on his pant leg and looked down to see the kitten trying to climb him. "Hey! Do I look like a cat toy to you?"

"Heh, I dunno 'Kura, with that hair, you kinda do look like a cat toy... a nice, fuzzy cat toy." Ah, how he had missed teasing Bakura. He was just so fun to get riled up.
The blond then heard Ryou's exclaimation. He looked over at the other boy curiously, squeezing his hand again as a reminder of his presence. "Have you seen him before, Ryou?" he asked. Bakura could be rough, after all, and anything he did to you, you remembered... but no, they didn't seem to know each other. Then what was going on?

Ryou looked at Night and leaned foward, picking him up with one arm. Night mewed in protest before giving him and jumping on Ryou's shoulder.
"Sorry...he likes new people..." he said hardly above a whisper. "No...but why...or actually who...would everyone be so scared of?" he said with a little smile and shrugged, causing Night and crawl closer to Ryou's neck. "I'm sorry." he repeated himself.

Bakura glared over at Jou. "Funny, keep it up and I'll be the one to light your a** on fire. And don't think I won't blondie!"
He smirked over a Ryou, Bakura made it his job to freak out the new guy. "Everyone scared of me because their smart enough not to mess with me. If you're lucky you'll get smart too. That is to say if you like having all your fingers."

"He's a cute little kitten." Yuugi smiled, "And I'm glad to meet you, Ryou."
He smiled even wider, "Do you two love each other?" He asked, "Aren't you supposed to hold hands when you love someone?" He thought for a moment, looking up contemplatively.
Then he decided to deal with Bakura, "As long as you eat that soup, I don't care about your cigarette." He stuck his tongue out, "Because you're going to eat it." He smiled again and began to talk about the cat to Bakura.
"He was climbing you awhile ago, he must've thought you were a bush with all that hair." Yuugi laughed, "That kitten is so cute! I just hope we'll have enough food to feed it.."
He leaned back a little, his hand brushing against Bakura's in a sort of challenging way; sort of like when Yuugi had tried to snuggle up with Bakura earlier, except he was trying to clue Bakura in on holding hands.

"As if you could talk shorty. My hair is nowhere end as bad as your's is. Besides, you try cutting your hair with just a knife, it's not easy." Bakura had half the mind to cross his arms, but that seemed too childish for him.
His eyes widen a bit when he felt Yugi's hand brushing against his but he didn't do anything, taking it as if it was just an incident and nothing more.

Jou grinned almost devilishly, and was about to reply to Bakura's threat when Yuugi spoke. His eyes widened. Is that was his and Ryou's holding hands looked like!? Like they were... "Y-Yuugi! C-c'mon, we jus' met like, what, five minutes ago...!?"
Swallowing, Jou glanced over at Ryou. He felt that if he let go of the boy's hand now, he would be making him feel as if he were on his own. No, he wanted to be there for the boy. But... he most certainly didn't love someone he'd just met! He was fond of Ryou, yes... and the boy was cute, but...

Yuugi glanced over at Bakura, waiting for a reaction. When there was none, he didn't really say anything. Just stood there for a moment.
"Okay, okay, you win. I believe you." He smiled.
"Well.. I should.. Go make the bed for our guest.." Yuugi was, obviously, just looking for a way to get out of the room. It was awkward now. Yuugi had made it awkward.
"I'll see you later, then, Ryou. Jou.." Then, he added, in a smaller, lesser voice, "Bakura..."
He must've really screwed it up with Bakura. Yuugi needed to regroup and figure out what he had done wrong.
Yuugi had left the room quickly, down a hallway and into the room where the six mattresses (they were the "beds" that everyone slept on) were kept and he crashed on one, pulling the moth-eaten blanket over his head.
He'd really screwed it up.

Bakura watched as Yugi walked off, slightly confused. Something wasn't right, Bakura may not be a great people person but he did notice when something was wrong with Yugi.
"How bout you show him around Jou, give him a run down of the rules. I'm going to see what's up with shorty."
Without another word Bakura left to find Yugi on one of the mattresses. "Hey, what's up shorty?" He asked as he sat down next to where Yugi was laying.
