"Oh nothing, your dad just sent an army after us to destroy us all." Devin said. "and that's right, including you."
Devin paced back and forth and thought for a while. He pondered on what they should do but couldn't think of anything. Then he sat down and crossed his arms. "we need to get out this country." he finally said after a long wait.

Karen got down from the tree, somewhat annoyed now. "Great! I knew I should have just turned away and went home. Buuut noo. I had to go and get myself involved with a bunch of supernaturalist and the general's son who loves them! I must be out of my mind! I need to go back home right now before I get myself into this any deeper!" She ranted knowing it was a foolish idea to go back to her home. She listened half-way as Devin gave Luke an explanation. "Oh great! You know what else. My brothers are in your dad's army! They'll probably be questioned or worse! That is the only job they qualify for! How are they supposed to support their families, if they get fired? Crap! How could I be so stupid....." She shook her head and fell to the ground knowing they would have to get up an move soon. She just needed to clear things up that is all. And everything would be fine!

"Well honestly we aren't going to get anywhere standing around." Devin said " and as much as i hate to say this, you two humans are not safe, you might have to come with us. Your brothers should be fine seeing as they came after us with out question. " Devin walked over and picked up yuki and took her out of the tree.

"Well there goes my neutral status. Now everyone is going to know that I helped out a bunch of supernaturalists and burn down my house..." Karen sighed heavily knowing that Devin was right about getting somewhere safe. She would rather travel alone, but with the circumstances being what they are she couldn't possibly expect to stay free for long. "My brothers didn't know who they were coming after! All they were probably told is that there were a bunch of supernaturalist who kidnapped the general's son!" She snapped back at Devin as she took inventory of how many arrows she had left.

"From what i over had heard the general say before they spotted me was that they had orders to kill luke and they any other human that helped out with the escape." Devin said. "If you need more arrows, I'm a pretty good Fletcher, i took archery up as a hobby before the war started."

"You have got to be kidding me! Not even Luke is safe now! Do you realize that this means that being with him is even worse off than being by myself?" Karen groaned, she had figured that Luke would be safe, therefore making being around him safe. She let out a long sigh and looked to Devin. "I could use a lot more arrows. But I'd rather just get them myself." She added the last part before dusting herself off and looking around. "We need to move."

"I know that my father has no more control past the northern mountains. That is the best luck that we have right now. I know a few people that are willing to help us get there, and if we can find any more help than that then we should probably accept their offers. Until we stay here, there is no telling what my father is capable of." Luke shivered momentarily, not knowing if it was form the cold that suddenly came or from the fact that his father had no problem with killing him. "We should start moving"

Karen sighed and looked around at each of them. She then looked around in each direction judging which path might be best to take. "Come on, if we need to head north. We should go south first." It made sense in her head. Going the opposite direction to confuse prey... or in this case the hunter. She did this with hunting all the time. It could work with actual people too. And besides if they ran into any trouble along the way, there were 3 supernaturalists hopefully able to do something or other to help out. "We can circle back once we hit the marker that says 20 miles to town. The ground is harder on that path so even if we did take it there would be no footprints." Karen added as she started south.

"I think that idea might work." devin said " though it would take much longer to make the journey." He looked over at yuki as she asked the question. " i don't think that would be a good idea, random haze roaming around the woods on a clear sunny day is going to come off as a little odd." Devin picked up a big stick and began to walk. " we should head out." he added with a sigh. He still couldn't believe that he was helping these humans, but he has a heard time leaving anyone behind to die.

"Ok, ok are we settled? Because I would love to get going now." Karen started to get impatient. Especially with all the people after them now it seemed very unlikely that they would be able to hang around there much longer. "Great! Lets get going come on!" She started to head south following her plan. She made sure that she was ready to shoot on the first sight of one of the general's goons. Geez.... I can't be seriously stuck with these baboons..
((I'll post as the general once I know what to post... sweatdrop ))

Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Months turned into a year.
"Can't we stop somewhere so that i can at least shave, or for that matter, bathe!!!" It almost felt as if Luke had gone from top of the line, rich, wealthy, to the lowest one could ever possibly go to. He wished for things to go back to the way that they were in the beginning.
While day dreaming, he tripped over a rock and went rolling downhill.

Karen sighed loudly once Luke tripped and fell. He had been complaining for days now. "I told you to bathe in the lake that we passed a few days ago!" She yelled as she went down the hill after him. "This is all your fault anyways! If it wasn't for your dad I would be home safe and sound. And you could be sitting on your throne with a gold spoon in your mouth." She growled stopping once he stopped rolling.
Brandon slammed his fist against his desk making the soldiers that were reporting to him jump. "What do you mean you've lost their trail!? This has been the twentieth time! Every time one of you idiots come back and tell me that they escaped! How hard is it to catch my son and his rebel friends!?" He growled standing up and walking up to the now shaking soldiers. "Who is in charge of your unit?" He commanded as the soldiers looked at each other. "Uhm....First Sargent Edwards sir..." Brandon blinked and growled hearing the name. Things made sense now. "Edwards! EDWARDS!!! WE ARE CHASING EDWARDS!! BRING HIM TO ME!!!" He boomed and made the soldiers run out of the office.

"Are you still having problems with those pathetic losers?" said Natasha with a evil smile. "You should never trust anyone who isn't competent." Natasha then left the throne room, the one where Brandon was located at. Before exiting the room she turned around and smirked.
Luke didn't like the idea presented by Karen. "Are you kidding!?!?!?! Why would i bathe in such an open location!? There are girls around like you, yuki and inariko! What if you see me naked? Plus, there are fishes in that lake. I don't want one of those nasty things swimming around me while i try to get clean. Just imagine if one of them touches me?
