[Actor Post: Oogie Boogie]
Barth sputtered out the lines,
"WHAT WAS THAT FORRrrrrrrr...................sandy claws? Err, not so fast, I mean. Christmas will be ours, and all that." There were a lot of spitting noises, then a baffled, "Why am I wet?"
Staying backstage and out of sight, Barth mopped his hair from his eyes. He hadn't yet perfected the art of napping in puddles.
Also, although he knew the first lines, the rest of his script (which he hadn't memorized) was now an inky mess. He had some other lines, he was pretty sure. And he was still on-contract. He'd have to improvise.
But seriously, what in disneyworld was that for?

Merde, what was - it wasn't time for that! Their rotund 'guest' (and oh, Jack, please don't let that actually be Sandy Claws, don't let the entire point of that hellish Christmas trip be for... THIS...) hadn't managed the last lines...
... well. The show must go on.
Malodore was dressed up... sort of. It was wearing its usual coat and hat, but red horns had been taped to the brim and its tail was wrapped in what appeared to be red ribbon, with a cut-out spade at the end covering the bladed tip. It hurried out on stage behind Christof and Bartholomew, then bared its claws, springing towards 'Sandy Claws'.
"Cerchiamo di lui a pezzi! Let's tear Sandy Claws apart!" it cackled, posing with those claws right over Sandy Claws' head. If this actually was the real thing, Malodore really wanted to induce suffering... as much as possible within the confines of the script.
Then again, just being involved in this travesty was fairly agonizing...

SPECTATOR POST
Colette hadn't even been paying attention to the play. She was more interested in the Pin the boil Belladonna knew had given her. It had pinged her in the head when he delivered it, and it hurt. She knew it couldn't be helped as he was so far away, but she didn't even ask for one! It was too dark to read whatever was printed on the front of the pin, but she squinted and tried anyway, hoping to figure out what it said.
Ultimately, she gave up messing with the pin when she heard a somewhat familiar voice. Finally. The main reason she bothered to come had arrived. Though, she was confused. Wet?
The Reaper leaned slightly to Belladonna and whispered, "That's Barth, right?" She was pretty sure, but, uh, wet? Why would he be wet? Or was Oogie supposed to be the wet one? Maybe she had missed something. The fat guy on stage was definitely new, and Colette figured Belladonna would be one to know what was going on. "Uh, who's that? The.. er.. heavier set one."

[ACTOR POST - SHOCK]
Claire was late. Again. She was (again) too busy eating to realize that she was supposed to be at the theater. So, she sprinted as fast as she could, just in time to hear Barth reading his lines. She quickly changed out from her regular clothes backstage into the dress that Shock would wear. She didn't care if anyone was looking. She remembered that she was supposed to be on stage a minute ago, so she ran on, trying to look dramatic with an evil smirk on her face. The thing that was playing Lock had just said it's line. "L-Let...Let..." She whimpered. Claire, despite having read her line over and over, had forgotten it. She lingered awkwardly on the stage. Until, "LET 'IM 'EAR IS OWN CRY!~" Shouted her stomach, Tom. Claire regained her confidence, and smiled to make it look like she had planned the whole thing. She looked at the plague doctor happily. Tom was going to get a feast tonight. Her stance was full, and she felt like she was the best actor in the world. Apart from the fact that she had one line, and it was her stomach that said it.

[ACTOR POST: BARREL]
The swamp monster leaped onto stage when he saw Malodore and Claire beginning to move, and he certainly looked quite the sight. Somehow, they'd managed to find clothing that was big enough for the beast to squeeze into, with with makeshift skeleton bones painted onto his front. Inspired by Professor Tailor's class, he'd slapped paint all over his face to emphasize that he was the real Barrel, and was now strutting proudly onto the stage.
Of course, then he saw Sandy Claws. Real, live, Sandy Claws.
"SANDY CLAWS IS JUST LIES!" The monster roared... even as he nearly tripped over his own tail as he scrambled over, delightedly plucking up the big man and the chair before he promptly sat down and began to cuddle them both.
He was real, he was real! He was here, and on stage, and G finally got to see Sandy Claws!

Myr hadn't been paying any attention, preferring to concentrate to his music, but when the batteries died, he didn't have much of a choice. He pulled out his ear buds, catching the last bit of G's sentence, and as he looked at the stage, he blinked.
Why was the actor playing Sandy Claws all tied up? And for that matter, why was the actor playing Barrel being all cuddly with him?
He had the feeling that he had missed something, and apparently should have been paying attention. Oh well. He'd just have to watch the rest of the play very closely.

Astra hadn't been paying much attention either...Actually, most of the time, she had been asleep in her chair, the play at first was not very interesting. Some way through the play she was woken by the sounds of two boils fighting. She saw Riley and some other in a fight, but the chairs pulled them apart, so now she looked back to the stage and noted that there was a fat guy in a red suit tied up on stage.
As she started, a sudden realization hit her
...was that really who she thought it was?
nah, couldn't be...

Actor Post: Oogie Boogie
This was it. Finally, their moment! It was time for Oogie's big song, a song he now personally felt connected to, of the horrors of Christmas, of it's repulsive nature and the futility of those who stood by it. His heart swelled as he tried to remember the dance moves they had practiced so hard... Christof couldn't see out of his puppet very well, visibility had had to be ignored while making room for fresh wires and joints and tubes he had spent hours on happily with Barth's tools, and more importantly... the Launcher. He could hear G outside present his line very... hurm. He couldn't quite see what was going on with the large boil, but it must have been stage fright, the poor thing.
He grabbed a fresh water balloon from the pouch at his hip, cranking back the rubber launching mechanism, aiming it off of his shoulder. He would not let Barth fall asleep now, not after everything. They'd worked too hard and fought to valiantly in horrific winter tundra to get to this point to *sleep through it*. Demon Contract or not, he just didn't trust his associate. He pulled the trigger.

Barth tried to decipher the wet mess of a script.
He had to.
He was under Contract.
However, when a second water balloon exploded on his chest, the already soaked paper nearly fell apart in his claws.
"ANOTHER ONE?"
He felt a tug of despair, and an even more painful wrench of demonic obligation. Did winging it even count? He summoned what he could from sheer muscle memory.
Somewhere under all the flubbing, there was also the distinct impression he was being humiliated. Put through a lot more trouble than a play should be worth. Now wet, unable to read his lines, and sore from their practices, he was resolved that Christof would have a very similar experience over the course of his service.
They were under Contract, after all. Things had to be kept even.
For now, he gathered up the the growing pit of cold anger and barked,
"JACK, You're in it now! you really are a joke this entire Christmas thing it makes me want to choke
You think your little helpers can intervene? Jokes on you, because I'm gonna really make a scene."
Some of the words were probably right, some of them were missing, and some of them were tacked on. All of them gave off the distinct vibe of not happy.

Well... it was close enough. Malodore sprang forward to take hold of Sandy Claws as well... at least the bits of him it could reach, given that Gargantuan had already scooped the fat man up in a massive bear hug. Sigh. Still, Malodore settled for giving Sandy Claws' toe a nasty pinch!

Israfel was now enraptured with the play. Oogie had made his debut, along with his minions, sure it was a little off, what with the singing and lack of what seemed to be coordination and G painted and hugging the fat man. But oh what a sight it was! The school play that was confusing was still just as confusing and stressful, but now, watching it, the main actors were all out, and the siren in him wanted a good song. A nice story.
Blue eyes zeroed on set, breath held for what was to happen next.

[ACTOR POST - SHOCK] Claire sort of... Touched Sandy Claus as they picked him up. She didn't know who this actor was, but he was convincing. That's for sure. She looked at the Plague doctor and G and smiled. They were doing well.

Okay.. It was a little interesting at first, but.. Now..? Barely able to keep her eye open any further, she continued to watch the play for (what she thought to be hours) a few minutes, until she finally gave into the sweet sleep that called to her. At least she would have better scenes in her dreams than this.

Sin had her eyes closed wishing this was over, as soon as the curtain fell she was getting the heck out of here. What a play, what a total mess! The audience wasn't handling things much better then he actors up on stage. Worse when Riley and Sarias had started to fight the chairs had sprang up and attacked them. This was all too much to handle, but what really made her jaw drop was when she opened her eyes a little trying not to really look...and saw Sandy Claws.
Sweet Jack was that THE actual Sandy Claws? No way it couldn't be there had to be somesort of mistake here. Someone had taken the roll she had been so passionate about! Her eyes narrowed as she watched, alright who was it?

Cyrilla had spent the last little while, completely wrapped up in the terrible play. She'd all but ignored the fight between Riley and Sarias, though she gave a passing glance over when they'd quieted down. All in all, if you didn't take it seriously, the play was pretty funny! She didn't really understand what was happening, half the time, the lines were definitely not anything she remembered from the original version... well okay, here or there it was the same, but for the most part it was off the wall.
It was just great. Though she felt a bit bad that some of the actor's seemed a little out of place in their parts, maybe they were just nervous. It was a big to-do, and she was pretty sure there was not a student who wasn't present for the class (she'd conveniently forgotten that the entire thing was mandatory to attend, though had she recalled, she wasn't sure why someone wouldn't want to miss out on class to go watch a play anyways).
Sandy Claws had made his appearance by this point, he looked nothing like what Cyrilla had imagined they'd make him up as. Like many others, she didn't recognize the actor from anywhere in the school, but there were enough students around that it wasn't unrealistic that there'd be people she hadn't come across in her travels.
She really wished she'd brought some coins to munch on at this point. This was getting intense (clearly, the dracolich was easily impressed).
