"Now, I see that some of you are still in this classroom. You can leave or stay, ask me questions. As long as you give me back your scroll by the end of the day at my desk here. (Deadline: January 28th. Task 2)" she warned. Although everything was written on the chalkboard, it wasn't as much fun when you actually interact. Looking at the piles on her desk, introduction scrolls and the actual assignment, she thought that the students made her work too easy.
Sighing for the umpt time, not from boredom but just to let out her worries, she paced between the desks before sitting at her own.

Gryffindor Prefect Sparrow----Gryffindor ----3rdyear Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain Sparrow heard Professor say we could leave. Sparrow collected her things since she had already finished the homework and had no questions. Sparrow heard the Professor sigh but figured it was a sigh of relief that she had finished her first lesson successfully, so Sparrow headed out the door.

Nam walked into the almost empty classroom. It was strange - this class was usually full sleeping students, not... no students. He checked the clock --- it was the right time for class. What was going on? He cautiously stalked up to Professor Éternelle's desk. "Erm, sorry I'm late professor, I had a rather arduous time getting here..." He glanced about the room, still quite bewildered. "...excuse me but... well, to put it in layman's terms... where is everybody?"
(( Sorry. When I signed up for your class at the end of last year I was being a dumb-dumb and forgot that I'd be a third year now. ))

((Alright it's okay. Still getting used to the teaching thing though xD))
Desiree looked at the new student who entered her class then glanced at the couple students who were still writing notes and trying to complete their assignment. "Empty ? Well as you can see I've finished the class early and all the notes are on the board. page 4. I've allowed students to leave or to stay since there's nothing more I can say on the subject except if you have any questions or want to spend time here." she doubted on the last option since there wasn't much to do here. Hmm. She'd have to do something about that. "I don't have another period until a couple more hours so there's lots of free time here (When finished, Lesson 2 starts January 28th). You're not the only one late and there's always new people who come in and go" she smiled.

Nam smiled back at her, glad he wasn't getting detention, or worst of all - losing his spot in the class. "I think I'll stick around and try to finish the assignment in class. If you don't mind." He was sure to keep his voice quiet so as not to disturb the other working students. He took the seat nearest her desk, feeling a bit self conscious about the noises he made shuffling around for parchment and a quill. He read over the board and began writing. And he just kept writing, and writing, and writing... "...Professor, I do believe I've written too much." ((AAAAHHH, 500 words!!)) He held his scroll by the top and moved it over the edge of the table to demonstrate - the thing went all the way to the floor, and even then there was some more curled up at the bottom. He heaved heavily. "And I wasn't even finished... I suppose I'll have to condense it." He said it with such sadness you'd think it was a felony of the first degree. He sucked the ink back off the pages with his wand (all the information was in his head any way), easily enough to fill a whole bottle. Rolling the parchment back up, he started again.
(( Ah, I see. Well, I believe you're doing fairly well for your subject [definately not an easy one]. I also really really like the way your teacher is a character, not just a teacher. : ) ))

((Thanks, did a lot of research and I had to through my own copies of the books... Can't wait for that encyclopedia to come out xD))
"Writing too much ?" Desiree raised an eyebrow of dubious astonishment. She looked over at the chalkboard, was there something she missed while she waved off her wand ? Maybe she did some Quick Notes spell by mistake. Glancing and reading through, it didn't seem so. Ravenclaws sure had an unique way of studying. Wow, that meant that she explained a lot more than she thought. Something about standing in front of a public must've triggered an unknown talent for babbling. "If there's anything, at least I know you've understood the lesson. I'm amazed you managed to scribble so much things on your scroll."

He was writing much slower now. It was hard when you were being choice with your words. "Ah yes, well... I'm sort of a resident of the library... a lot of it was speculation by various historians and my own personal views as apposed to historical fact... do you care for speculation?" It was a good thing to know when he suspected he'd be doing a lot of writing for her (even though he usually couldn't help himself as soon as he started writing and never had the heart to erase most of it). In fact, he'd simply like to know more about her in general. She seemed some how less distant than most of the other professors.
(( There's an HP encyclopedia coming out?! When?? xD ))

((As soon as J.K. gets a butt-kicking boost xD I don't know but it's planned))
"Care for speculation ?" she said that with a gleeful tone. "I love discussion of course. Part of history is analyzing past events and allow ourselves to give insight and predict. I'm planning maybe an oral presentation later in the year even." she ended that one with a wink. She knew how much students easily got embarrassed in front of a classroom, although preparation classes were the best to talk about anything they wanted and gossip. She looked over the other students, fully concentrated on their work. Wow. They certainly cared for history to even achieve that level of "studiousness".

As the professor looked to the other students Nam followed suit, although his thoughts were that perhaps they all knew how to sleep with their eyes open. He shrugged and looked back at her. "Oh good. An oral presentation - sounds lovely. So long as it doesn't have to be multi-media." He'd been to a town hall meeting once - they tried to spice things up with props and a slide show. It was one of the most humiliating experiences he'd had to watch. Pulling himself out of the unpleasant recollection, he said, "Being a history teacher... do you have a disliking for fiction?" Now he sensed he was starting to veer into a dangerous and off-topic direction, but there was almost no one here and she seemed kind of bored. The worst she could do was tell him 'that's personal' and send him off.
(( Oh, haha. We should get together and start a riot until she publishes it. ))

((Yeah ! But then, how am I gonna get myself to dear England ? Funny you're talking about fiction though. I'm trying to ponder what I can actually invent about goblin wars...))
"Multi-media's just not possible with our school. Although I've seen illusions that worked quite well." she remembered a friend of hers that almost gagged at a very crisp image of a manticore devouring a wizard. Hmm. Better not use that when she reached war topics. "Fiction ? What do you mean ? There's things that are called fan-fiction, reusing stories to create new tangles and completely extrapoliate. I don't dislike it in general, I won't highly encourage it though. Of course, I like to hear different views on the same thing but not if it gets too... inappropriate." she left that word last.

As she mentioned it, it occured to Nam that he actually hadn't read about too many illusionment spells. He'd have to look into that later today or tomorrow. He made a small sideways note to himself on the margin of his paper. Nam puzzled at the word 'fan-fiction'... what was that? Then it came to him. He scrunched his nose. Believe it or not he'd found some books in the library that didn't belong in there... they were 'diaries' shared by two crazy witches, pressumably now alumni. They were filled with plain awful writing based on some of the novels they were placed next to. False continuations. They included poor and vague descriptions of an activity he didn't understand.
He supposed that was the 'innapropriate' thing she was talking about. Why on earth had she assumed he was talking about that? Did she think he was the kind of person who would like that? "Eugh, no, not that nasty stuff. I mean proper works - like The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Enchanted Encounters, or Henry Holden's Haunted House." For some reason he was very embarassed that 'fan-fiction' had even come up. Being the humble and self-conscious person he was, it never occured to him that it was not at all his fault that that's what she had thought of.
(( xD Hitch-hike? Stow-away on a boat or in an airplane's luggage?? Kudos to you if you can make something up! If it's interesting awesome, but if it's not, well, that would be very appropriate, hehehe. ))

((We can always ask a ride from a flying superhero or try our best to apparate without leaving any limbs back. But yeah.. Doing my best))
"Ah stories !" she exclaimed. Now then, that looked like she was the idiot. There wasn't a lot of novels at Flourish and Blotts, she didn't expect someone to actually understand what she babbled about. The library seemed to sell only textbooks, she saw a copy of Sonnets of a Sorcerer once. Dangerous, since you'd speak poetry forevermore after reading it. She never knew someone like that but it must be quite annoying. She pondered at her previous reply. Did he think otherwise or misunderstand ? Oh, her manners were disputable. She answered him properly. "Oh, I have nothing against those. Especially wizarding tales and legends; they all have a bottom of truth though it can be doubtful. It's not because I teach history that I can't enjoy a good book ! Of course, there's always that irritating feeling when someone gets his facts wrong but you can't expect anyone to know everything. Why the interest ?" she asked back. It was nice to chat up with a student though, interacting with a young spirit once in a while.
She glanced at the scroll on her desk, charmed with a quick spell write up who entered her class; as long as she acknowledged the person. Seemed she was missing more students, this was bad. She pondered if it'd best to leave it at that. They'd just have to drop by later at the next class then. Again, she looked over Polpil's head, checking if the students were really doing their work. She wouldn't mind some interaction amongst them; at least it would've showed they had some kind of personality. Maybe it was the soul-sucking doom of history of magic classes.

⒩⒜⒯⒣⒜⒩⒤⒠⒧ ⒲⒜⒭⒟ - 2nd year How do see yourself when you graduate Hogwarts ? I don't know. Famous ? Tall ? Maybe some kind of famous rockstar. Is there a particular branch that you will work into ? I want to travel around the world ! Looking out for strange creatures and just do crazy experiences. Which wizard or witch is your greatest inspiration ? Nicholas Flamel. Any dude who can make a stone that lets you have an immortal life or turn things to gold is winner but that's not the only reason. Is there a particular event that you love the most ? Uh, the fact that Hogwarts even exist ? Which one greatly repulse you ? I don't know much about history so... yeah. How do you feel about ''History of Magic'' ? Personally, I think I'm going to bore myself to oblivion but don't keep that from ruining your fun and making myself work for essays and stuff.

"Hello Professor !" I rushed inside, almost dropping my copy of A History of Magic. Sitting at the desk, I felt ruined. This was not good. There was a thing about being, another was writing four inches of parchment. I let out a huge sigh, not even hiding my discomfort. The teacher must've been used to it by now. Looking at the paper, I could already feel the ink strangling me with writer's block.
