When you die, you are complete When you live you must compete Can the light outway the dark Can you go and leave your mark... Kiyoshi Jino Your Prayers are heard --------------------------- A sound played through Kiyoshi's ears. At first, he didn't know what it was. Then he realized exactly what it was. He fell to his knees, devastated. The tears began to pour from his eyes. If anything, what Kiyoshi wanted to do was drown Akumi's memory in brine. Part of him knew from the beginning that he would fail in protecting his sister, much like he failed to protect the mask.
Although he was scared to look, Kiyoshi turned his head to gaze apon the body, lying on the floor. The blood flowed his way, reaching his white pants, staining them. He was weak, injured, and now crushed by his sisters second death. What was this? How could this happen. Why was he and his sister granted a second life? Was it for punishment? There was no way it could have been for redemption. ... If one day you reach you reach your goal Will you find that you are whole Go out now, complete your task An angel will do what you ask

Captain Salnesh Of the Gray Militia Salnesh stopped her blade and saw the creature die. She leered in skepticism, but decided this would be a temporary victory... That Demon would be back in another form, perhaps, but at least it was out of the city. She held up her hand and lowered it, dismissing the soldiers. They'd head back out to their quarters and walked outside. The Captain looked over to Kiyoshi, narrowing her eyes.
"You said that she had potential, that she should be given a chance? She was given one... She got in here, didn't she? And she wasted it by killing one of our people who allowed her into his quarters without so much as a struggle." Salnesh walked away, then looked back at the Shinobi. "You have done well, Silent One. As for you, White-Haired man... I will chalk up your interference to ignorance as to just what kind of situation we're in..." She walked out the door, then addressed Kiyoshi a final time. "Do not waste your chance." With that, she left for her own quarters, heading up the stairs and away from the others. She pointed to one of the soldiers, then pointed to Kiyoshi. "Get him patched up."
"Yes, ma'am."

Sefas Minos Alchemist Sefas shrugged lightly and nodded slowly at Neysa, looking over at her and giving a gentle smile. "It's fine. I won't be using it for a while." He went back to working on his alchemy, suddenly thinking of the idea of Neysa being eaten by Demons... He furrowed his brow and thought for a few moments. "Well... Actually, Demons wouldn't normally eat people's bodies unless they were mindless... Most of the time they just leave them around to rot to scare other humans or even wear piece of people on them to display their strength." He shrugged lightly. "Though that's just what I hear, and personally, I don't really want to find out about that..." He continued to work on his alchemy set, trying to get the metal to do something as he added an Energy potion to the mix.
"But as far as I've seen here, we'd probably run into a Demon one way or another tomorrow... Noticed how edgy everyone here is about being invaded?" He watched the reaction, the metal dissolving into the potion. He seemed to nod slowly and stirred it. "The whole city's scared that the next attack could come any minute, and as far as they're concerned, they've got a right to be scared... I wouldn't be surprised if most of the people here would kill a Demon on sight unless the Demon was obviously on their side." He continued mixing the substance, then added some more of the Enferantite in, as well as some extracts from herbs he'd gathered from other parts of the world...
"I mean, imagine it... Living every moment with the idea in the back of your mind that some monster's going to come out of nowhere and kill you at any second... That can't be good for anyone, but there's nowhere else for these people to go... You can't help but feel sorry for them." After he did so, he saw the substance in the bottle slowly congeal and collapse into a spheroid, viscous liquid. He placed it on the vial rack and let it sit for a while...
Sefas then listened out of the door... It seemed all the noise died down. Whatever was going on, it seemed to be over.
"Sounds like everything's calmed down..." He turned over to Neysa and smiled likely. "Now we only have to worry about what madness starts tomorrow... Hopefully..." He let out a sigh and continued watching the mass in the bottle congeal into a metalloid ball.

So when I'm crying alone Yeah, when I'm cold as a dying stone
 Neysa
Neysa watched Sefas work on the metal. She titled her head to the side as the metal dissolved in the glass container. She looked away and towards the door as she listened to him speak. Neysa couldn't imagine growing up with that fear of something attacking you daily. In the walls of the temple she was completely protected from what ever that was outside. She had grown up in a in a world completely isolated from the problems and fear that surrounds others in the southern regions. "You're right...You can't.." she mumbled with a soft frown.
Neysa snapped out of her thoughts when Sefas had told her that everything finally had settled down. "I see..." She then stood up from his bed and straighten out the sheets so that it would look as though no one had touched it yet. She then walked over to the door. As she passed him she gently placed her hand on his shoulder. "Alright...Your right...I hope things don't get too hectic tomorrow...I would rather avoid trouble but I suppose I can't be helped right?" she said with a smile on her lips. "Now have fun with your metal..I'm going to head back to my room and rest. I want don't really want to be too tired tomorrow if we are dealing with demons..Perhaps I'll drop by later if it's not too late to see how your alchemy is going..This is the first time I ever saw anyone worth with materials like this" she then dropped her hand to her side and took her leave.
After she left his room she walked a few doors down to hers. She pulled out her keys and quickly unlocked her door. Neysa started to open it when she stopped for a moment and looked down the hall. She couldn't help but wonder what went on.

"Shinobi" XXX XXX XXX XXX静かな戦士"the Silent Warrior" Narinthe's head turned calmly as Salnesh spoke. Her words rang a truth, though it did not relieve the regret he felt. The blood dribbled from the curved blades still, and he could hear every drop fall onto the floor, as if to scream at him for what he'd done. But his eye remained void of all emotion. To the world, he'd appear as if the assassin most people expected him to be, the man he needed to be. Ready to kill when it was needed or asked of him, read to perform his duty.. And for the most part, he was. He never got this way during a job. That was because he was sure they deserved it, if he accepted the assassination job. That was because no one was there to see their loved one die at his hands, or beg him to stop. As she spoke, he nodded deeply as a thanks. He listened to her kindness further, before she left. Kiyoshi had attacked her directly, but he wasn't getting the punishment most in his shoes would have.. He was even being patched up for what he'd caused him in her own self defense. He looked back at the man slowly, letting his eye voice his emotions, as regret and displeasure siwrled about his softly glowing eye. For a moment, on of his hands switched the kama into the other hand, freeing itself, and extended out as if to offer him help up. Kiyoshi's tears and sobbing had drug Shinobi down with him, and he knew forgiveness wasn't going to be had. He lowered his head, his eye shutting behind a veil of black lashes, as he turned around on a silent foot. His back facing him, he began to slowly walk out. He held the ends of each Kama handle loosely at the edges, letting their blades curve outward behind him, resting their sides against his own. Their silver edges darkened with drying blood, though much if it dribbled down onto the floor, still bright crimson. He turned and continued down the hall, his head downcast, to watch his blackened tabi boots as he walked. Crimson hair hung down, and blocked the view of the right side of his face, and some of his left. His eye was teeming with his emotion, his emotional mask finally had let up, with no witnesses to see it. The scent was overpowering: Her blood was all over him. Her life he took, left its mark.. His mask was coated. As he reached up with one hand, kama tightly clutched, he touched the back of his gloved hand to his exposed upper cheek, wiping it and lowering it to look at his glove: The soft light of fresh liquid met his eye.. It was there, too.. His head turned to look up as he neared his room. He didn't feel like going in there. He knew what was in there: a bed, a washroom. A place for resting, when he wasn't able to do such a thing after what he'd just done. He needed to get this out of his head, and resting wouldn't do it. No, he had to leave this building for a while, meditate it off. Maybe drink a little. His eye closed as he turned his head dejectedly from the door, and continued down the narrow hallway. His mind seemed to have spaced something he'd otherwise have recalled. He looked up suddenly, at Neysa. She was in front of her own door, halfway opened. His eye locked into one of her vibrant emerald eyes, it's glow fading away as if to stop, a dim glow that couldn't be noticed at all. He didn't bother to hide his emotions from her, she'd seen the light of when he smiled anyway.. He looked at her for a moment, the blood splattered across his pale cheek, and his kamas, bloody, where in view at either side of his bodice as his arms hung. He blinked, his eye shutting, before he silently stepped by her, his head downcasted still.

Sefas Minos Alchemist Sefas smiled and nodded at Neysa, watching her go out the door. "Well, do take care... Rest well, you'll need to be plenty alert for tomorrow." The young alchemist smiled and waved to allow her to leave the room. After Neysa went to her own chamber, Sefas worked on the chemicals he was using... He saw the little globular substance in the vial congeal into a solid substance... He grinned widely and placed it inside his robe.
After doing it, he went over to his own bed and climbed in... He'd best get some rest for the next day, for when the time came... It'll be back into hell for him and the other outsiders that he's met today...

 Neysa
Neysa noticed Shinobi walking down the hall and a smile spread across her lips. "There you are! I was wondering what had happened to you. You just suddenly took off." She said as she set her staff against that half way open door to her room. Neysa then turned to him as he started to walk by her. She then saw the blood across his face and her eyes widened. "Blood?" She whispered and blinked as she took a step towards him. She noticed the dull glow in his eyes and a frown appeared on her soft pale lips. What exactly did happen to him. Her eyes scanned over his armor and the little exposed skin and didn't see any wounds. Is it not his blood? He doesn't appear to be injured. She thought.
"Shinobi..What happened?" she asked as she gently reached and placed her hand on his arm as if to stop him from walking away. "Where you over there in all of that commotion with the soldiers?" Her eyes fell to his weapons hanging out and where she saw more blood. The sharp blades were covered with the redness. She then started to put together a picture to what had happened. Her voice grew very quiet. "Shinobi....Did you kill someone?...Did someone attack you?"

"Shinobi" XXX XXX XXX XXX静かな戦士"the Silent Warrior" Narinthe's eye shifted to look at her as he passed, it's emotions still evident. Perhaps he didn't care much if she knew he was upset. Or perhaps he no longer could hide it, anymore. As she reached for his arm, he let her, if only for a moment. His head turned slightly to look at her with an angle, his red eye facing her. As soon as she'd asked about the commotion, she asked something he was afraid of. Suddenly, his air turned transparent, and her hand would slip through it as if it had never been anything but the air. It then returned to solidity as he began walking again. His steps were silent and soft, and a few feet away, he slowly pulled the sheaths for his blades from his hidden pockets, and pushed their leather over the curved blades. He then hid them within the large pockets within his pants. He looked back at her, his eye full of negative emotion, before he raised his hand up slightly, as if a small wave. After such, he continued down the stairs.

 Neysa
Neysa felt her hand slip away and watched him walk away. "Shinboi wait!" she called after him. She let out a soft sigh and shook her head. If he wanted to be alone then she wasn't going to chase after him. She saw the negative emotion in his eye and watched him walk down the stairs. She ran her hand through her hair and grabbed her staff before walking into her room. She closed the door behind and walked into the wash room.
Neysa found herself looking into mirror. "What the hell happened back there..why was he so bloody?" she whispered to herself. Neysa shook her head and let out a soft sigh. "I guess I'll never know..." she shook her head and started to get ready for bed thought the emotions that she did see in his eye lingered in the the back of her mind.

"Shinobi" XXX XXX XXX XXX静かな戦士"the Silent Warrior" Narinthe stood in the washroom, his back to the mirror. The man had spent his night without sleep. He'd meditated until the late hours of the night, and when the moon had begun to fade at dawn, he'd come back to the militia headquarters. Under his stealthed power he made it back into his room unnoticed-- no one knew he'd even left, save for Neysa. His red scarf was slightly damp, still, as he finished wrapping it around his eye, tucking it into it's lower layers, letting the small, tattered rest of it flow behind him. His armor and shirt had also since been washed. He turned to put the metal chest guard and pauldrons on, noting his face was clear of the blood. Within the wet rags on the granite in the washroom lay the blades to his Kama. He'd washed them after meditation thoroughly, but he let them soak regardless. Taking the silver out, he dried them with another rag, setting them in their sheaths and in their usual pockets upon his body. His eye had since emptied itself of his emotions, though he still felt small pangs of regret, of displeasure. He sat upon the bed, which hadn't even been touched yet, and produced his jug of water. Drinking the contents through his straw, he filled it and some others with the water from the sink, and had prepared himself with some bandages and herbs in case something were to go wrong on their mission, today.. As the alarm sounded, he stood upright quickly, packing all of his belongings within the pouch he placed upon his backwaist beneath his Ninjato sword , and stepped outside, closing his door, key in hand. Darting down the stairs, he met up with the Captain. Pressing his legs together, he placed one gloved hand over his other, curled into a fist, and bowed his head and torso deeply, his eye closing as he did so. Standing upright, his glowing eye slid open, as he awaited the others.

Captain Salnesh Of the Gray Militia Salnesh saw the Shinobi approach her, nodding slowly as if acknowledging his presence. The military captain pulled out a pile of folded maps, unfolding one of them and handing it over... It was a map of the Black Wastes, in which several points are marked with an X along the region labeled "The Ebon Fields." There were approximately 11 points across the area, the points labeled "Collapsed".
"I'll explain it all when the others get here... In the meantime, take this map." She folded the map up again and handed it to the Shinobi.

Sefas Minos Alchemist Sefas awakened in his bed... Though he seemed to forget something as he wiped the sleep from his eyes. He strapped the Vial Belts across his chest as he prepared for today's task... He was not looking forward to going into the wastes after contemplating it. In fact, it was a hellish thought. I have to go back out there? That was going to be a painful experience... He checked the belts to ensure that all of his items were present... He pulled out a smokescreen and replaced it with the globular substance he had made earlier. This might come in handy... It had plenty of internal energy in it. Who knows, he might draw some power from it for a spell or something... If he could manage to use one. But such speculation could wait. He started eating in his room, drinking sips of water and bites of unleavened bread that he brought with him... He still felt like he was forgetting something, but it escaped him at this moment... Well, if he didn't remember, it wasn't important... So he thought.
He walked outside of his bedroom, adjusting the straps across his chest while still wiping the sleep from his eyes... Though, what he forgot would soon become clear to anyone who happened to see him at this time, as while he was wearing his belts of Vials... That was ALL he was wearing...
((OOC: Yes, Sefas pulled an Albert Einstein... Except a lot further.))

When you die, you are complete When you live you must compete Can the light outway the dark Can you go and leave your mark... Kiyoshi Jino Your Prayers are heard --------------------------- In room 339, there was nothing but a still air, laced with regret and sorrow. Kiyoshi opened his eyes, and gazed apon the cieling, and it's queer shaping. He had not slept that night. All he could think of were those last moments of the fight the previous night. His shoulder still hurt, though it was now patched up. The odd thing was that after the fight, Kiyoshi, after he was alone, picked up the body of Akumi, and brought it back with him. Kiyoshi sat up from his bed, and looked around the room. He stood up, and made his way towards Akumi's corpse. He hadn't inspected it before, and felt that he would do that right then, instead. As he searched the body for anything such as a note, a diary, or a journal, he came across something much more valuable. At first, it seemed to only be a maroon rock. But after a small inspection, Kiyoshi realised that it was a mask. Half a mask to be specific. Kiyoshi's heart was right, as it did end up bringing him to the mask. However, the only reason he found it was because his sister was dead. He didn't want the mask anymore, and so he placed it on Akumi's face. He then moved the head over to the body so that it would almost look like they were still attached. Kiyoshi knew that it was only for looks though, as nothing he could do would revive his sister.
Kiyoshi noticed the ringing of the alarm. It was time for him to prepare for another little experience with the demons. He donned his shirt. Though he had washed it, there was still an evident rip in the shoulder, and the blood had stained the area around it. His pants were also stained at the front of the knees and down. Kiyoshi looked into a mirror, and saw his face. Something about him had changed. It was his facial expression. It was the face of someone who had lost everything, even though he hadn't. Maybe Kiyoshi was overreaccting. Maybe he wasn't. It didn't really matter to him.
The door to room 339 opened, and Kiyoshi walked out, spear in hand. He closed the door behind him, and locked it. He walked over to where the military captain. He glared for just a second, before he averted his eyes to the masked man. He had seen that the masked man showed some sort of remorse. The captain hadn't. ...
