Micho watched the scene unfold, unable to speak as the horror unfolded before him. First, he roasted alive as if he were a boar on a spit, then he watched as the leader of the Village Hidden in the Sand slapped down Shisara, who had run towards Michio with a look of panicked worry. He could do nothing but stare as the hands of the Kazekage dug through her flesh, reaching into her womb and tearing the unborn fetus from it's incubation.

The Kazekage swung his arms wide, the baby held by the back of it's head, then slammed his fists together and crushed Michio's unborn child in his hands, leaving nothing solid. Michio's anger rose and he knew, in that moment, that Jin had sealed his fate. But before he could do anything, the flames overtook him, burning him down to the very marrow of his bones before everything went dark again. Michio lay in his unconsciousness, lay in the darkness, and swore to the void that he would have both Jin's and Shinken's heads posted on the entrance walls of the Sunagakure canyon once he was done murdering both of them.

After he made his oath, he began to disintegrate in his own mind's eye as his body breathed it's last few breaths. The light that was his soul grew dim, and for all intents and purposes, Michio was dead.

When Michio finally stopped breathing Shinken let out a sigh of relief. He wasn't sure that the man was ever going to die. Knowing that the rain authorities would be coming for him soon the young Uchiha did a quick search of his ex-comrade's body, and stripped it of anything valuable. Knowing that Michio's body could be a bargaining chip in future interactions, as well as a possible claim to innocence, Shinken lifted the larger and older ninja onto his shoulders with a grunt. The former Kaguya was much heavier than Shinken expected. The young Uchiha attributed this to the fact that he must've had much more blood in his system than a normal person, even after expending so much of it and covering the courtyard.

The young Genin, now a rogue ninja, quickly began to search for a place to hide. He could hear a commotion in the distance, and knew that the rain ninja must be quickly approaching the Academy. He was exhausted from his fight with Michio and knew he could not continue fighting. If it came down to battle he would have to give himself up which was not something he wanted to do. Instead he quickly darted down an alleyway carrying the still bleeding corpse on his shoulders. He did his best to wrap his cloak around both of them trying to blend in with the surroundings. As he put more distance between himself and the now bloodsoaked courtyard of the Academy he heard shouting in the distance. The rain ninja must've found the battleground. That meant he didn't have much time. He would have to get out of rain country as quickly as he could, before word could spread to the borders.

A sudden gasp caught Shinken's attention. A small child had noticed his presence, and was obviously spooked by the blood. The young ninja held up a single finger and pressed it to the mask where his lips would be. The child swallowed hard and nodded fearfully. The young Uchiha felt bad scaring a child like that, but if the young boy cried out it might very well be the end for Shinken. The rain ninja didn't like sand Shinobi to begin with, let alone those who had waged war within their borders. The battle had been just that a war between two rogue Shinobi, and even though was over it would certainly leave a mark on the rain village for some time to come. The Academy students surely would not take their lessons lightly after this. And though security was already quite intense it was sure to be stepped up yet again.

Shinken gestured for the small child to go back into a building and out of harms way. He didn't want civilian casualties. He'd only been here for Michio and that goal was now complete. With the corpse of his former friend on his shoulders Shinken began to make a break for the exit. He was travelling quickly, but remaining as quiet as he possibly could. At every opportunity he would duck down an alleyway or change directions, just enough to throw off anybody who might be pursuing him. Finally he could see the wall of the rain village. Guards and not yet been stationed there. There were ninja patrolling the wall, he was sure, but Shinken could not see them in this moment. That meant he had an opportunity to get over the wall and out of the village, and he wasn't going to waste it. With a sudden burst of chakra into his legs Shinken took off at top speed. He was close up the wall now that he didn't care who saw him. Within moments he reached the village's main defence and scaled it with ease. Even the weight of Michio's body didn't slow him down. When he reached the top he simply jumped off the wall, landing on the ground with a hard thud. Now that he was over the wall he had a clear shot at the border, and that was exactly where he was going.
